Part 1:

Rabash. Article No. 18, 1991. What It Means that We Should Raise the Right Hand

over the Left Hand, in the Work

Reading Article: (00:46) “The Zohar asks, ‘And Aaron raised his hands…’”

1. S. (40:32) I wanted to ask about this mechanism, we started from one line that is first called right and then going to the left and settling for a little, being content with little and going back to the right, and it's like the constant move between left and right we read about this mechanism we see it all the time in every article. What does it mean to be content with little?

R. It's in relation to himself where for himself he doesn't demand anything, and his entire goal and inclination is how to continue onward in the right.

S. Still not clear what happens there on the left. He says that you were as if and wholeness on the right but on the left you see that you don't discover the purpose of creation and then you are content with little what does it mean that he discovers that he doesn't fulfill the purpose of creation and then he's content for a little the wholeness that he had before and by that he makes a great correction this gap is unclear?

R. First the left gives him a feeling where he can receive for himself, God forbid, and here he needs to stop and restrict himself and the rest is to increase the right.

S. When the Creator reveals to him the new vessels of reception he puts them in a state where he doesn't have control over it that's why it called left his opposite to the right just like he was in wholeness on the right now on the left he sees that he's an opposite nature to what he was on the right, let's say, so he says that the fact that he sees that he has no way to fulfill himself with the lack then he has to go to the right, so why does he go back to the right because he can't fulfill himself or that he has to be in a prayer to return to the right?

R. That the Creator fulfills him into the right, I don't understand.

S. When he's on the right Rabash writes that he cannot advance by the deficiencies that's why you have to return to the right and settle for little and that brings him back to the right so basically I'm repeating the same question when I'm on the left I'm content with little so it's not clear where is that being content with little when I'm on the left and I'm all in vessels of reception?

R. I'm not grasping it. I'm not grasping what you're saying.

S. He says that in the beginning, the first line he also calls what he's in he also calls it right but then he says that thanks to being on the left you say he then comes to Dvekut. How does one truly reach Dvekut and why is it called being content with little?

R. He joins the left to the right, yes, or no?

S. Yes, but what does it mean that when I'm on the left I settle for little? That's how he calls it he repeats it every two lines, that's his definition of that one is content with little this is how Rabash repeats it going back from left to right. I don't understand he gives the advice they're giving faith in the sages and so forth but this feeling of being content with little or this action is not understood when you're on the left you are content with little and that's the correction to go back to the right?

R. What else do you have to do when your state is in the left? It's forbidden for you to use those vessels of the left without the sweetening of the right.

S. Essentially on the left we have no way to do anything, only that action of being content with little that's it there is nothing to do?

R. Yes.

S. We don't actually correct the left, we just settle for little?

R. The left is for moving to the right always.

S. We basically need to dig a little bit deeper into this action of being content with little?

R. We'll read it again and we'll see more.

2. S. (46:37) Basically it turns out that if a person is on the right, he has no way to appreciate where he is only to go out to the left, then from the deficiencies you see you begin to see that the little that you have is really being whole?

R. Yes.

S. Why is it so, how is it exactly wholeness if you're content with what you have, how do you develop if the little is always that wholeness?

R. Look, when I'm in the left the main thing for me is to come closer to the right and coming closer to the right that's a question. What do I need to do, should I lower myself, should I diminish the left or should I increase the right over the left?

S. Raise the right?

R. Raise the right, will that be wholeness in such a way?

S. This is exactly the line that Rabash keeps repeating in the article that you don't identify what's on the right and only when you come out to the left and you see the deficiencies the right becomes your wholeness even the little that's there is called wholeness?

R. Yes.

S. You're not even working with the deficiency. You see that it's such a deficiency and you immediately go back to what it was, and you don't even increase it here. You’re repeating, you're going back to the same thing and repeating it and doing the same thing and how do you develop the left causes you to go back to what you had?

R. No, each time is more and more.

S. How does the person develop if he has to be content with what he has?

R. That you need in order to be content with what there is you need to constantly increase the right.

S. How exactly do you increase the right if you settle for the right in its wholeness? What does it mean more wholeness, what does it mean that I want to be more whole and more on the right?

R. No if you're seeing that you're in wholeness then that's wholeness that's it.

S. That's exactly the point if I settle for little and I see that I'm whole on the right then I don't need more, that's where the work ends.

R. No, the work doesn't end. The work doesn't end if there's still more left.

S. From what I understood, a person who goes out to the left identifies his deficiencies and you go back to the right and exactly what you had on the right is wholeness to you and that's called being content with little the same right that you had that is your wholeness, so how does it grow? How will the wholeness grow if you are a whole? What does it mean to be more whole?

R. Why is what you had wholeness?

S. Because I saw that the deficiency was on the left and then you go back to the right and you start appreciating all that you have and even the little thing to you is called whole, that's what he writes, the whole article he repeats it several times in several variations.

R. If the person now returns to the state that he previously had but after he checked he saw opposite forms, so he doesn't return to the same state in that way he raises that state even higher, and his Dvekut his adhesion is even greater, even higher.

S. What is the addition that wasn't there before? What is the addition that turns the state to a higher state when you come back to it?

R. It's exactly what you can now join to that state from your criticism in the current state.

3. S. (52:15) How does a person settle for little? What does that mean?

R. Usually, it's in pleasure for himself that he doesn't demand all for himself.

S. In what he is not content?

R. He is not content with that in which he needs to add in Kedusha.

S. What advances a person in the state where he settles for little? What does he demand when he settles for little?

R. That he, how do you put it, he settles for little and that he demands nothing for himself and wants only to see the right covering the left.

S. How does a person enter the left, touch it, and comes out quickly and not drowning there but using the left only for the sake of the right?

R. If he prepares himself in the right then even if he enters the left he enters in a way where he is ready to exit. He knows in advance.

S. What kind of preparation does a person do on the right to enter the left correctly and come in and come out correctly?

R. He knows what he enters for. That's all, yes.

4. S. (54:21) There's a paragraph here that will answer what the friends are asking. It starts from the answer, is that a person has faith in the sages.

Reading article: (54:42) “The answer is that the person believes in faith in the sages…”

5. S. (56:30) What comes out of here is that a person that is on the right and then he enters the left he comes out of it by faith in the sages and that's what he acquired basically to come out of the left back to the right?

R. Yes.

S. This acquisition of coming out of the left into the right with faith in the sages there are a few questions about it, first of all, is this called above reason?

R. Yes.

S. Because faith in the sages until this article sounded to me like below reason here it sounds like this is the action that actually elevates me, is that correct?

R. Correct.

S. Now there's a second part here that's towards the end of the paragraph where he says that he's happy with his share even if it's Lo Lishma and so forth, this joy, is it something that a person awakens by himself or is there something that he receives from above? I didn't understand that.

R. He receives the joy from above for sure but it comes from that in which he does an action.

S. This joy is a sign that I've done the right work or it's kind of?

R. A result or a cause?

S. Yes.

R. How do you think?

S. From the broken feelings that I have joy is always something that I get from outside, it's not that I awaken some inner joy, it's kind of a result, not a cause?

R. A result, yes.

S. I understand, okay thank you.

R. Okay.

6. S. (58:38) He gives a lot of examples here, one is with the bread that one wants 300 and if he gets 400 there's nothing to say but if he gets 200 and he lacks 100 then he says that since they need more and they don't have that means they settle for little and they give thanks to the landlord for the bread that he gave them as if the bread filled all their lack but essentially they worked against the pleasure and suddenly it appears that the landlord fills their deficiency. How does the greatness of the host fulfill the direct lack for pleasure? Meaning you want a completely different pleasure but it suddenly appears it's not even that?

R. If you feel that it's the host giving to you then what you received has the weight of the host.

S. Why then is it called as if it should be much more than the 100 grams of bread?

R. Yes. How would you call that?

S. He received and that he was rewarded or that he looked for something small 100 grams of bread and he got the greatness of the host it's not the?

R. So now let's say the bread weighs in your eyes 400 grams.

S. 4000?

R. 4000 grams, what do ask about that?

S. Why is it called as if? How can you even compare?

R. As if because he increased his vessels and filled in those vessels what he received from the host, which weighs a lot more than earlier.

S. What I'm saying is, as if, seems to lessen it, it's not like I asked for a cow and I got a donkey. It's something a lot more than 100 grams of bread and then the 100 grams of bread is just a means to discover the host?

R. You can put it that way, but he created the vessel the person.

S. How did he build it, and why?

R. In that, he increased the greatness of the Creator in his eyes.

S. He doesn't attribute the greatness of the Creator in his eyes to the Creator?

R. That's a question, certainly it's without the work of the Creator. Here there's nothing. Our entire work is the work of the Creator, that's what it's called.

S. How do you prepare yourself for the left so that it raises you to the right, that this will truly be the result?

R. That in every place that we want to do something the Creator lowers us and in our every action where we feel as a real result of that the increasing of a degree that is the intention of the Creator for that and accordingly, we advance.

S. How do we prepare ourselves to grasp that point and not to lose it?

R. That the Creator is always the first.

S. Yes, but we have to remember it, and perceive it.

R. That is already through our usual work in the group.

S. There is no one solution here and generally the work in the environment constantly is what will cause that?

R. Yes.

7. S. (01:03:20) If I feel that I'm always fighting not to enter the left that awakens every second of the day, how is that called being content with little or not? It starts with from what the friends asked. I will read the whole question. If a person initiates his entrance to the left, what does it mean that he settles for a little? And if he does not enter it by his own initiative. So, how to understand the answer to the friend that he enters prepared? And in the end, he writes that I'm always fighting not to go into the left and it awakens every second of the day.

R. He is still in the right and he cannot exit it. That is his state.

S. Which is also not wholeness?

R. Certainly it's not wholeness, wholeness is the middle line.

8. S. (01:04:44) It seems like there are two things to scrutinize, it seems like friends are asking about the troubles of the daily life, as though it is the left line that appears from the Creator but it appears as though it's totally unrelated, but the daily troubles are not the left line that Rabash is talking about here?

R. Yes.

S. Now that we put it aside. I want to clarify why is the right more important? He says that if he's on the right he is in wholeness, he does actions and he receives a reward for it and everything seems complete and well. Then he discovers the state is incomplete and he's actually not bringing contentment and he has to look for new deficiencies because it is not true. So he looks, turns to truth, and looks for new deficiencies on the left. And if I understand correctly and he sees that all he worked on is not to bestow, it was all to himself. It is more difficult for him to do the same thing that he did before with passion and joy, so here on the left, I guess he says, here that the right is more important because the left is a temporary state because it shows him that he worked incorrectly so far, now he needs to further strengthen on the right. The question is how from that state of deficiencies, what does it mean to settle for little, how to increase the faith in the sages? I guess this is what we need to talk about, how we should increase the faith in the sages. What does it mean, how do we do it in our common work in the Ten to appreciate that which seems to enliven this work I don't know there are no words for this.

R. Okay, sit down, we'll get to that.

9. S. (01:06:56) We talked about the person enters the left line, and then the right line. First, the question on that a person enters somewhere? Is he being pushed into it? Meaning I have the ability to go into the left line or the right line or I just find myself in the situation?

R. Yes.

S. Yes what?

R. Yes, he pushes himself into it.

S. To me it feels like it is completely dependent on the environment. If I came to the lesson, I suddenly read the paragraph, here let's say he writes about the depicting force that shows him the truth, that something a lot more clear. And then he writes that depicting force is the force that chose the truth. Meaning, that the depiction of the work, meaning if he has a good depiction about the situation he is in, meaning that it illuminates the work for him, meaning what form he has when he looks at his work, whether he is in wholeness or not. Whether he is working in order to bestow or does he want to work in order to bestow. I read this while in the lesson and then I find myself in some line, I'll say I’m in the left, I want to bestow, I don't want to bestow, I start having these thoughts of spiritual work, I didn't do that, I came here there's some spirit here, and then I finally suddenly find myself in it. Can I put myself into that state?

R. Without any external thing bringing you to that.

S. Yes.

R. No.

S. That is what I wanted to understand, so a person does not enter anything? If he enters the environment, the article, the Ten that influences him, and then the things begin to work on him and then he can observe and see where he is, maybe even ask to be in this or that state, but he does not initiate his entrance or exit from anywhere?

R. If he is under the influence of the environment?

S. Yes.

R. How can you say that he doesn't enter or exit?

S. That is felt. I want to ask what happens when I'm not under the influence of the environment that is what bothers me. It is very clear during the lesson there's this spirit or during the meetings, the environment works. There is a force, and a person can work somewhat towards the environment, but what to do, the friend asked about the daily trouble. I don't know if it's the daily trouble but when the body is in control in most of the hours of the day. There is a huge gap between what happens in the lesson and what is outside the lesson.

R. In the lesson, you are under the environment's influence, and everyone is in efforts. You feel in that mutual effort a result and you are also in an emotional state. Certainly, there is an outcome of that, that is different than what you feel during the day.

S. I can say that I'm happy with my share for example, for instance?

R. When you are here you don't feel that you're in control, the environment, the society that is what's in control and you're ready to give him the reins. However, during the day you are alone physically and also internally.

S. How do you bridge that gap? This is a question that I've been asking for years, how do we bridge this gap? That's what I'm willing to submit to myself, everything that you said I can even enjoy it and be happy about it. And I depend on this physicality, I really feel dependent.

R. Meaning you want to feel like it is here throughout the whole 24 hours.

S. At least to want that, not to feel it, but to feel pain that I don't feel it's something.

R. Well, what can we do for that?

S. That is the question?

R. He is asking. Yes.

10. S. (01:12:18) Rav answers us to be content with little you want something doesn't matter what I want it's left I want to settle for a little in faith in the sages None Else Besides Him, The Good That Does Good, and if it is difficult, open up Shamati with somebody, call a friend.

R. Is there other advice?

11. S. (1:12:48) I think this article begins and ends with being happy with your share. Meaning that a person always wants to ask for the desire to bestow, to connect to the friends but the Creator shows you the truth. He shows you the other side each time, how much you're not there yet, and you need to ask Him to correct your desire, to always be there with the environment.  I will continue, also when you are in the environment, you have the opportunity to correct more and more, from beat to beat. Every time we meet with the Ten in these meetings, our meals or lessons each time ask for the right, but the Creator shows you the truth, and you have to be happy each time He shows you, slice by slice how you can ask to be with Him and increase this force of bestowing and loving the friends, that is how I feel.

R. Meaning to constantly try to adhere to the right.

10. S. (1:14:22) First of all, even just reading the article, the article's headline, what does it mean that we need to raise the right hand over the left hand in the work? It says everything to me. It means that holding on to the Creator is lofty, but the importance I give to it is relative because each time you have to raise the right you have the same connection all the time but the attitude, the importance to it is what I give. The question is, is that correct?

R. Okay, yes.

11. S. (1:15:09) The answer to the friend is to pray for salvation, to keep the will to receive below and that keeps the person below the will to receive and does not let him connect to the friends.

R. Well, that's enough.

12. S. (1:15:44) It seems that everything is in that verse where the left is meant only to serve the right and has no existence on its own. My question is, I'm seeing this in the manner of if you are ready in the manner that you are just willing to improve and you don't want to deviate, that is the correct state because every other state is a fool sitting and eating his own flesh. This critique for the sake of critique is not good, it's not correct. The question is, is there a state in which you can be where the critique just tells you what to correct, and you’re not frustrated by it, is there such a state?

R. Yes. Okay, there is such a state.

13. S. (01:16:48) I didn't get an answer. I want to refine the point of my question, if possible.

R. Don't be such an egoist, there are many people who haven't asked.

14. S. (01:17:00) I don't have a question. I want to say something in the direction of my friend. I'm on the right and I want to open the left just a little, or I measure myself against my friends in the Ten.

R. Yes.

S. If it's not against one or another if it's not okay then I need to measure myself against the complete Ten. Then it is for sure I will come to the left line, but in that same thing, I can go back to the right, because I am in such an exalted Society?

R. Yes.

15. S. (01:18:17) Throughout the day we are in a certain environment according to what I feel in this environment. Seemingly it challenges you and you have to have this war, this battle, I want the environment, and the friends and everything. Through it, I want to try and make this connection with the Creator to connect to my friends, the same wars throughout the day. We can come with this deficiency to the lesson, to feel it as a certain vessel where we can get a filling, but if we don't have that deficiency, we don't have that work. The demand I have is very weak.

R. What do you think? As if they didn't hear anything.

S. In the end, what we are given from above, on the one hand, we have to see it as wholeness, but in our feelings, it’s really not like that. We have to understand that this is exactly what they gave us, and this is what we have to work with. Now to work with it, he writes in the article it is enough to have a bit, even a gram of a connection. At least that you succeeded in making the connection through the Creator, lifting above the state. It is written in this article, that it gives the Creator contentment. I see in the end that we want to advance, that is the work. That is the work as it is truly inner work where you fight and fight to make the right connection and also come and connect to the friends and you have something to come with. You have an inner charge because otherwise, it's not that you have a deficiency in the lesson because you have not been working. The question is, is this the right work that we have to do?

R. Yes.

16. S. (01:21:00) In what state can the left serve the right, and to what extent?

R. The left constantly serves the right; it gives the right the ability to rise and an opportunity to rise.

17. S. (01:21:48) We learned that in order to adhere to the Creator, we have to restrict ourselves, to lower ourselves, and the form within the form is that HaVaYah?

R. No. You don't need to speculate on those things, it will not give you anything.

S. We learned that in the previous lesson, in every state that is opposite to the previous state, it's like a chain. Is that the Creator?

R. No, I don't even know why you are stuck on this subject.

S. We learned about it in the previous lesson, so I prepared a question about a form that had a different form, in letters above and below. That has equivalence, the vessel bestowing above, the vessel bestowing below, and only when they invert, they find equivalence. That is what I wanted to talk about.

R. I don't understand why you are even paying attention to such details. What it is all kinds of tricks.

S. We just learned that if we stop recognizing ourselves by identifying with the state, we are in by this way we create a vessel. In our form and then we have the quality of reception and the vessel worthy of reception?

R. Let's, let go of this for now.

18. S. (01:23:49) Throughout the day the Creator evokes inside of me all kinds of new deficiencies. Where is the internal work that a person needs to do in order to move from the left line to the right line, where do I need to pay attention?

R. You constantly need to locate where you are, where you are tending to buy the influence of the Creator, and what you're doing with. This is where your work starts from.

S. This means that I need to enter into the work in the Ten, or I need to pray to the Creator alone, or for him to give me the feeling of faith of above reason. How do I go toward this faith above reason, is this something I have to go alone or with the work in the Ten?

R. First of all, you need to see where you are and whether it is aimed towards the goal. In order to be aimed towards the goal you need to connect with the Creator and with Him supposedly build one Partzuf.

19. S. (01:25:52) The same time we start the study about the lines, I have this feeling of how can you work in lines when there’s no even small touch to what bestowal is. It seems until we can have any form of contact with bestowal, it is just like ascents and descents, it’s like you're being thrown from here to there, and until you overcome it. Is there a possibility to work in lines during preparation?

R. I don't understand what you are asking exactly. The work in lines, meaning that there is a special time for the right and a special time for the left, and you can go from observing from the right to observing from the left, and by this you determine your state, and what are you lacking in your current state.

S. Yes, but he explains it here as it’s clear to you that you're working, you’re moving from one line to the other. In that state where it's clear to you, you need to be ready for that. You need to have some kind of preparation so that you understand that you are in the right line, that you're in an ascent and that you are being given it from above such a state. Then you enter the left line and from the left line, otherwise it turns out that you’re jumping from left to right and you're constantly skipping on one foot, you're supposed to be on two feet. I don't know if I'm explaining myself good.

R. You're explaining, I do not know how to answer him. I cannot express one whole short sentence that can come out clear right now. Ask again.

S. Our latest articles where it’s explaining, we’re moving from one line to the other line. From right, he was given a state of ascent to the right as much as I can see that he feels the greatness of the Creator in him. Then in that state, he needs to examine whether it’s clear that he should check himself on the left line and from the left move to the right again. It seems like it is very precise, clear work that you know what you are doing. It’s not like ascents and descents?

R. Clear, but?

S. My question is can a person work in these lines in such states if he doesn’t yet have some form of grip or a small touch on to what bestowal is considered?

R. How’s that possible? We’ll keep going.

S. It’s impossible to work on two lines when you working clearly if you don’t have contact with bestowal?

R. That’s correct.

S. Until you have some contact with bestowal it’s just ascents and descents. You are being raised and lowered each time but don’t confuse it as if it is right or left?

R. Ascents and descents have nothing to do with the bestowal?

S. Ascents and descents as far as I can see is being given from above. It’s kind of felt like you have no control over this, let's say not even 50% of it. You can't because it is all coming from the environment, the studies, and you're being given ascent, and you can see that you're exerting. Then suddenly from some state, there’s this overcoming of the will to receive, then it becomes more aggressive and then a descent begins. In all these states it is still felt, and it is truly from above and you're being moved from one state to another. Here in the articles, it appears as if you are already in a conscientious clear way, you're moving from the right through the left, from the left to the right in a very clear way. The question that arises in me, is how can you do such a thing if you have no point of contact with bestowal, no comprehension of bestowal?

R. You can work with a group, with your studies, with your prayers, and somewhat stabilize towards some direction.

20. S. (01:31:57) When a person finds himself on the left line and again tries to bring himself back with all the deficiencies, the left line and he's trying to justify the Creator and return to the right line. After all, at that point it's a lie, so how can we bring this to the truth?

R. How from the left do you go to the right?

S. Yes returning back to the right, to the state of truth so you will truly be that you are considered that you're moving to the right?

R. That all depends on a person, the person, the environment, and the prayer to the Creator, nothing but that.

21. S. (01:32:59) About the topic of the connection with the environment, you once gave us amazing advice. How do I buy a friend? I give a part of my heart of my desire as I’m listening with a candy, with an embrace and then he becomes precious to me, and I do not disconnect from him with time. I go shopping, I go here, and the friends remain in my heart. We don't need any more than that?

R. Okay.

22. S. (01:33:52) At the end of the article Rabash is speaking about the ascent, the elevation can be wrong, or false. What is this state and what is the difference between the right line? As I understand Shlemut is partial, so Shlemut, is false partially?

R. The way that you can check your correct state is through adhesion, adhesion. In every state you reach the point of adhesion, that state is correct. It is not the most exalted but at least it is in the direct line from your state to the Creator.

23. S. (01:35:18) Can we try and answer the questions that arose in the discussion?

R. What questions?

S. About the right line and the left line. He's asking if he can give answers that arose here in the discussion.

R. No, we don't have time for that now.

24. S. (01:35:59) How does a person build a Partzuf with the Creator?

R. By turning to the Creator and asking for new states every time and getting a response, by that he builds new Partzufim. The change on behalf of the Creator is through the light and the change through man is from a deficiency and then by both of them light and deficiency there are changes between them and that’s called how a person builds himself.

S. How can you do this thing in the Ten, how does a person identify this work in the Ten?

R. The person needs to be adhered to his Ten as much as possible and from the Ten to raise the deficiency and to feel what changes this deficiency is performing in his Ten.

S. A person can demand also from the Creator to ask from the Creator himself even though the friends don't understand?

R. Yes, of course.

25. S. (01:38:15) It is written in your article that when a person prays as much as possible, he should depict to himself and believe that he feels the reality of the Creator, is it possible to depict as the work in the right?

R. Yes.

S. What does it mean that we are adding to the state after we already depict that we're in the reality of the Creator, how do we add to this the left line, what does that mean?

R. Criticism, meaning we check, we measure to what extent we are in that state.

S. Let's say I do this work, I do this examination and I discover that in reality there is no such friend, he did not come, but he's late, what do I do with that?

R. Again.

S. I check and I understand that I'm not in a whole state because a certain friend is missing, there is a certain element, a lack of perfection, what do I do with the lack of perfection?

R. What do you do with it, you turn to the Creator.

S. What do I expect from the Creator, to complete it?

R. Complete, add, reveal there are many possibilities.

S. Then I will be able to discover the left line of the imperfection and to draw to the state of perfection?

R. Yes, gradually we will be able to.

26. S. (01:40:32) Rabash writes that we need to come to a state where even the evil inclination will agree to work for the Creator, so there are two questions. Does that mean that we have to come to a certain agreement with the ego, and the second question, what actually is the essence of the correction if we agree to the evil inclination working for the Creator?

R. You can’t reach such a summary with the Creator. He understands everything we are doing, the only thing that we can do is to ask.

S. Under what condition will the evil inclination agree to work for the Creator?

R. The conditions more or less are equal for everyone, we have to reach love and bestowal, a connection, adhesion.

27. S. (01:41:50) Can we say that in the left there is sufficient in evil, it's like a right line?

R. It's not enough and such a thing cannot happen. That the left line will be happy with the right, that is impossible.

28. S. (01:42:38) The work in two lines, is it in the group or is it in everyone?

R. Between man and the Creator.

S. Then in the group there are not two lines?

R. I don't want to get confused now.

29. S. (01:43:08) In the article it says that the left criticizes the action whether they're good or not, so how is it in the Ten?

R. In the Ten everyone is with everyone. Everyone wants to connect, everyone wants to incorporate as much as possible, everyone together and towards this state we criticize, from every private state each and every one.

S. So I criticize myself?

R. When we talk between us, when we connect together, when we want to incorporate, we criticize our common state.

30. S. (01:44:45) I have a question about the two lines, so does true annulment begin when we start to work in two lines and before that it is called the preparation period?

R. There is work in one line, there's work in two lines and there is work in three lines. This is how we go from one level to the next higher and higher, so advance and you see. You on your own will have to feel what it means to work in one, two or three lines.

31. S. (01:45:56) I wanted to ask what is the difference between when a person feels the right line and then he opens the left, criticizes himself in order to come back and increase the right that is one state. Or a state that someone is on the right searching for deficiencies that are supposedly outside of them in order to increase the right, what is the difference between these two states?

R. So you mean without any deficiency he cannot advance?

S. My meaning is that in the first state it is seemingly he works with deficiencies and critiques over himself, to check himself, how he is towards the right line, and he only goes to the left line to proceed to the right. In the second state, he is seeking for deficiencies outside of him, in order to intensify the right line. Is there a difference between those states in the work and the vessels?

R. Of course, in the first state he starts and ends his work in the group, and then in the second case he supposedly leaves the group and goes out of it. I cannot imagine how he could come back to the group with additional external deficiencies and what he would do with them inside.

S. If we are talking about deficiencies, they're outside of him, the meaning is in the Ten, the lacks that are in the Ten?

R. In his own Ten?

S. Yes.

R. That's okay.

S. Is that the difference between those states, I'm trying to understand the difference between him doing a criticism upon himself or seeking for lacks outside of him in order to advance on the right line?

R. Yes.

S. Is there a difference in the work or a difference in the vessels between the state that he is critiquing himself to grow in the right, or that he is in the right, and he is seeking deficiencies in the Ten in order to intensify the right or is it the same?

R. No, it is the same thing.

32. S. (01:49:03) We heard from you that the Creator is not satisfied with us to get in just a little. Is this to satisfy just a little a necessary part of our work on the path in the middle, and then we will have to build a Kelim and receive the whole abundance from the Creator?

R. We always should satisfy with the least and through that develop.

33. S. (01:49:53) Let's say we are walking on the path in wholeness and so you should also walk a little bit on the left to the extent that it serves the right. What does this little bit mean the little bit in the left?

R. Repeat.

 S. He’s saying on the one hand, we need to be in perfection, and on the other hand, it said we need to use the left in order to grow the right. We have to do this using very little of it. What is using the left in order to grow the right?  He is saying Is there a sort of control that we do not criticize, let us say our wholeness to awaken the Sitra Achra, and to do it in a controlled way?

R. So you’re saying to what limit can I come out in order not to fall, but come back with the corrected assets?

S. Yes.

R. I am saying that it is all checked in the group, everything is checked in the group.

S. How do we check that in the group?

R. As much as you are connected to the friends in the state that you want to come out towards him, to go out and then determine that state as your static state for now, and that is how you advance.

34. S. (01:52:15) How to learn to be satisfied with a little while developing a sense for certain measures in corporeality and spirituality?

R. Look at the friends, adhere to them, and do things with them such exercises that can bring me the right limitations on my spirituality and corporeality.

S. Why is the right line called perfection if without the left line, on the left hand, they cannot be whole? What is the difference between the wholeness of the right and the wholeness of both hands together?

R. Wholeness of the right is wholeness in the current state. Concrete but not for advancing. In order to advance I need the left.

35. S. (01:53:36) It is written, it is known that the right is called wholeness and when he looks at the rest of the people, he sees that they have much less than what he has. How is it that other people have less works out for a person that is already working on the right line? He is asking how is it possible that he's working on the right line but he is looking and seeing that others have less.

R. So why is there a question?

S. That is what he is asking, how does that work out, he is already in perfection so how can he see lacks in others?

R. It is not the final wholeness, it is for now.

36. S. (01:54:24) What is the faith in the sages and how do we attain it in the work in the Ten?

R. Faith in the sages means that I believe what they said, and does that mean that I believe in them? That what they wrote, what they said, for me that is the truth. It is a law and I try to incorporate in it, that is called faith in the sages.

37. S. (01:55:05) How can a person know if he is in the right or in the left?

R. Left rejects and right adducts, that is how it is written.

S. What does it mean rejects?

R. Rejects means that I cannot connect with the friends and the right adducts actually draws me towards the friends.

S. That he feels an attraction to come closer?

R. Yes.

38. S. (01:55:42) What is the difference between the state of left to a descent?

R. Left is not for a descent, left is for construction for building, and a descent is simply where a person loses the screen where he loses the vessels for connection.

39. S. (01:56:13) It is written that there is a law that you can't see a deficiency in the friends work unless a friend feels the deficiency himself, what does that mean?

R. We are not allowed to talk about the lack of each and every one.

40. S. (01:56:32) Is it important that when we scrutinize the prayer in the Ten, first we all reach gratitude together and only afterward scrutinize that deficiency?

R. Again.

S. Is it important when we scrutinize a prayer in the Ten that first we reach gratitude, everyone together, and only afterward scrutinize the deficiency?

R. Yes.

S. Then end in gratitude?

R. Yes, that is the written plan.

41. S. (01:57:07) Working in our state in this world is always in lowliness to work every moment and raise the Divinity from the dust. Do we have to pretend that we are in wholeness?

R. There is this and there is that. If we are still distant from wholeness then even if we kind of make believe, meaning not talk about the truth and don't behave according to our true attitude towards one another, also those things that we do in a better, more artificial way helps. If not towards me and maybe even also towards me, but towards others by this I am giving a good example. It is not the truth, but the other one when he receives it and sees it, he also improves, and this is how it later returns to me and this is how we can help one another.

42. S. (01:58:42) How will we know if we can hold onto Dvekut in the right way, what is the sign for it?

R. These are external signs that we are willing to help one another, these are the external signs of adhesion and that we are willing to rise above all that disturbs us and to advance that way.

43. S. (01:59:21) When we are sufficient with a little does that mean a person is in Katnut, smallness, and then when he works in the left, he brings more vessels and goes to Gadlut greatness and brings us to reception?

R. There are both ways. We need to understand that being satisfied in little is all throughout the ladder.
