Passover - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #8

Passover - Main page for all chapters

1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:45) We need to go through all those steps that the Torah describes to us and they are exactly according to the development of the soul: in each one and all of us together. So, we have to see if we are going down into Egypt by a simple process. An average person doesn't feel that he is in ascents and descents and his entire path begins with a descent. And after the descent he has to understand where he is at, what does he have to do in order to ascend.

Typically, the first ascents and descents are very difficult because a person doesn't understand what is going on with him. Suddenly he gets into this bad mood, he doesn't see, he doesn't feel what he used to see and feel and hear and that's a problem. Until he begins to understand that everything that is happening to him is because the Creator is either approaching him or distancing Himself from him, or spirituality is approaching him or distancing itself from him and that he goes through different moods.

Again he enters a bad mood, a depressive mood, feels that life has no purpose. This period of descending into Egypt is a new period in a person's life it is not understood. So Kabbalists talk about it gently from afar, as if and we have to arrange ourselves in groups, in the form of ‘each shall help his friend,’ and understand that if a person today, has suddenly a bad mood, he sees the whole world as dark, as if there is no future, there is no present, everything is as if he is in a state of darkness, as it is written dark like in Egypt,’ like the darkness of Egypt; you understand that this is how it should be.

This specifically is the right state that has to be and he has to go through it and understand it, absorb it, and later, on top of that dark state, that bad state, that narrow state, he begins to discover and to receive a new state. And such states, such ascents and descents, first a descent then an ascent, he has to go through them several times, in various ways and try to come out of them using various tactics.

And as a result he will become a craftsman, an experienced person on how to come out of those states of descent. But it is clear that without a descent there can be no ascent. Hence, descents and ascents, they make up our entire path and the more a person appreciates them, he decides to agree that he appreciates a descent like an ascent with the exception of one detail, that he yearns for the closeness of the Creator and accordingly he advances towards the general correction.

That's it. Our topic is how we should behave in the ascents and the descents.

2. S. (06:21) Can we say that the descent is a common state below reason, to earthly desire and it's time to ask to rise above the requests of connection with friends?

R. Yes, you said it correctly.

3. S. (06:52) Every year when we celebrate Passover, within these 6,000 years the descent to Egypt, this experience in the ten, each time we are going down to Egypt each time?

R. It's not to do with a yearly date or the holiday of Passover that we are getting to according to the calendar. Our spiritual work has no calendar. There's no general schedule for everyone. We do it because we celebrate things like we celebrate various events in the country and in the nation and in the world. But we talk about ascents and descents, it's not like that. Not something personal or individual, it can be for each one or for the group and has nothing to do with the calendar.

S. If so, how will we know what the people of Israel every year need to go through in order to rise from Egypt?

R. It's simply when it comes, it comes, without any connection to the times. The dates meaning Pesach, Rosh Hashanah, YomKippur, Shavuot, Sukkot, there's really no connection because all of those holidays, all of those times come to a person individually and a person accordingly has to behave.

4. S. (09:41) Many times we describe this descent like a person in the darkness and their future is very negative and sometimes you said that a state of a descent is every disconnect from the Rav, when I am like in a football field and I enjoyed the game and I am disconnected from the Creator, I don't even think about the Creator. And the quantity of states that we take from the external world when a Kabbalist is not thinking about the goal. When he socially, corporeally, is in a positive state. Those states are many more than the negative states of disconnect. So therefore, my question is whether a descent is every disconnect from the Creator?

R. No, when a person doesn't think of the Creator, it's a state that we call losing consciousness. Lost consciousness. And if I feel that I am disconnected from the Creator, specifically, then I can say that that state is a state of descent, a descent as to be felt it has to be felt clearly in a person, appear. At one point I was in a state of connection with the Creator and now I am moving away from Him. I am disconnected from Him. This is then a state of descent, otherwise it is not a descent, you can't say about all the people in the world that they are in descents relative to the connection with the Creator, no they are simply in a state of general disconnection from Him.

S. Meaning if I identify myself in such a state in which I am in a ten, and I locate myself in a way that I am not connected to the Creator, especially me, and let's say, some time has gone by, an hour and I have thought about everything but the Creator is that a descent or is that being unconscious?

R. You can say it's a fall although, it's not a fall, you didn't feel it as a fall. You deduce that state too because you came back to a state of connection and you thought that what happened was a descent.

S. If the whole world becomes dark for me as it is being described for me with these descents and falls, the world becomes black for me because I don't feel my connection with the Creator and I'm aware of this. I am conscious of this happening is that..?

R. I guess it depends on how you summarize everything.

5. S. (13:27) How do we work or protect each other during descents please?

R. We maintain life in the group. When we gather for the lesson, after the lesson we gather for an afternoon lesson. After the afternoon lesson we have a group connection even if it's only a few minutes long. Then in different states during the day and the evening we come back to the material from the lesson, to the topic in order to feel the states we are in between us and between us and the Creator. That's how we advance, that's our work, to constantly renew the connection between us and the Creator.

6. S. (14:47) More than once you have said that without a descent there is no ascent and specifically from the descent we need to locate the next ascent and this is out of the connection with the friends. My question is: what is to locate the next ascent with the friends?

R. If I'm in a state in which I am determining as a descent so against that I can detect a state called an ascent.

S. Am I the only one who defines that as a descent, from that connection, from that vessel that I call a ten, in my connection with the Creator?

R. Yes, sometimes it is only you, sometimes it is a few friends together.

7. S. (15:52) We have a friend that for about 6 months is distancing from the ten. He is in all of our meetings but we can feel that he's in the state of distancing. The main thing is that he is not asking for help. We come to a certain despair. We don't know what to do. For sure it's not an ascent, so maybe you can advise on what to do?

R. You have to create between you such states which will certainly pull him back into the group without pressure, without all kinds of overt actions. Rather only create such a feeling, such a general awakening that will be there so that he will not be able to remain disconnected from the group.

8. S. (17:10) I understood that a descent is a clear feeling of disconnect from the Creator, if I don't have that feeling of connection with the Creator. So, for me, can I only measure according to importance whether I have importance of the Creator or not? Is that also a descent or for the moment is…?

R. Yes, yes according to the feeling of the importance of the Creator I can determine whether I am close to Him or far away from Him. I have connection to Him or not, for now in this way.

9. S. (17:50) When a person experiences a descent and an ascent once, why does he always forget that he should be happy from attaining a state of connection from coming out of a descent?

R. He will get a higher place, a lower state, a worse state to have a new place for work.

10. S. (18:48) When I fall, I feel that I have no connection with the Creator but I remember that there was such a connection. What is that string through which I can later develop this connection and come to the tighter connection and what is that point in which it appears, this connection, that I want to return?

R. Generally speaking, of course we need to try and find a new connection not to base ourselves on past connections; I wish to rise to a higher place. Maybe, even find myself in another connection, in a new connection compared to the past and the fact that sometimes such feelings, such memories come to me. All of this is given to me so that we would nevertheless, find ourselves a certain way that we will begin to define ourselves and position ourselves differently.

11. S. (20:17) I see every negative state as a descent and it feels like we are experiencing this fall together in these lessons but none of this appears realistic to me. Is it more important to honor the ascent than the descent?

R. We need to respect both because when I am walking I am using the right leg and the left leg. There's not much difference between the two legs, only with respect to the connection with the Creator. When I'm on my right leg I am closer to the Creator and doing movements in correspondence with His movements to come closer to Him. And when I am walking on the left leg, I am walking on the path of distancing from the Creator but I have to go. I have to walk on both, otherwise I can't advance.

12. S. (21:33) Can there be such a thing where I am connected to the Creator without being connected to the group?

R. It's not a true connection with the Creator, it could be a personal connection, a partial connection but it is not connection with the Creator. I recommend that you understand it clearly in the following way: connection with the Creator can only be through a tight connection with the group. The more a person approaches the group the more he approaches the Creator. The Creator is found in the center of the group.

13. S. (22:22) From what I understood the descent, a fall, is the feeling of disconnect from the connection with the Creator and the suffering that stems from it, so if we assume from that point that I have never been in a fall before if I didn't feel that?

R. You've had a little bit of a descent and ascent but everything is still ahead of you, everything is still ahead of you. Ascents and descents should be our permanent states. When there is no descent and ascent it is simply death.

S. And that fall you said from ascents and descents are a certain exercise, a drill and this is how we become artists of exiting from the descents. So the falls are actually the entry into Egypt or is it still practice before entering Egypt?

R It doesn't matter. Nevertheless, we are still approaching the state. An ascent is approaching Israel, the land of Israel, the exodus from Egypt.

14. S. (23:58) What exactly is this concept to the center of the group and how does one locate it?

R. The center of the group is the center of all hearts where the Creator is found. This is how all the friends wish to locate Him. This is where he is found from the get go. And this is where we need to discover our complete connection as strongly as possible between us, and between us and the Creator. First of all, the connection between us is like this envelope, this wrapper and inside this wrapper we discover the Creator as the internal part. And this in total is called the internality or the center of the group.

15. S. (25:10) Maybe this will help other tens. Yesterday there was a sharp feeling, a very sharp feeling of heaviness and distance in the ten and we started to exchange jokes and special humor and it really improved and brought us closer. How important is it to use humor sometimes?

R. Kabbalists love humor because it breaks the usual line of thought and it gives us opposite states so they use it. We see it in many sources, how they wrote about it. They treat humor very seriously.

16. S. (26:07) The states that Baal HaSulam describes as double concealment is that a descent in our current work and are our friends in double concealment which were for 20-years an example for the ten and we made a covenant with them. Are we supposed to attract her with all our forces to come out of exile? Not just to give a couple of notices and that's it.

R. It's a very difficult question because it's tough to appreciate it in our world, in our state, but nevertheless, we should not let go of a person. We should take him with us, as long as we see him or her with us, unless they don't want it completely, that there is such an inner disconnect in him until he doesn't feel any contact with the group and then you can let go of a person and keep going on your own.

Reading excerpt# 8, Twice. (27:44) “ What do we see in the Creator’s reply to Abram’s question..”

17. R. (30:10) This is the entire need for exile, so that he will have a greater desire to come out of exile and that's how they advance towards the Creator. When all of our states are disconnected, distanced, opposite from the Creator is for us to yearn to Him and cry out and ask, ‘And the children of Israel sighed from the work.’ And in this way we will demand the great light, where the light in it reforms and then we will be rewarded with coming out of the exile.

18. S. (31:00) What is more important for us, which is preferable: the light or the deficiency?

R. Both, both. We can't do without one or the other. We have to reach a complete correction and the end of correction is made up of the complete egoism that is revealed in us and the complete light that corrects this egoism, from egoism to altruism, so it turns out that you need both.

S. I'm getting confused about what comes before what? What is the order?

R. We must fail the exile first. That we have nothing, we are in the dark, we can't see anything, we understand nothing, we hear nothing, we are in this narrow place, narrow meaning that it lacks any light, even light of Hassadim. And this is where we can't go anywhere, we can't make any movement. This is our starting state: the exile from the path of the Creator, the feeling of the Creator. And later we come to redemption. Redemption is when in that dark state, we gradually begin to see some light. The dark state exists specifically so that we would gradually reveal the light in it.

19. S. (33:28) What's the difference between disconnection and a fall?

R. Well a descent is a descent, as we see that we are going down into a descent and later we can climb up and ascend. We even know how to calculate in what are we descending, where we need to ascend to. Whereas, total disconnection is where we have no contact with what we had before and we can make no calculation or action in order to bring ourselves back to the desired state.

20. S. (34:30) My ego interprets ascents and descents in its own way and it shapes my perception of them in a way that it wishes. How can I create a vessel that can turn the descent into an ascent with the light that arrives?

R. How can I take the Kli from a descent to an ascent; only through a ten, by myself I can't do it. I will turn around, maybe something will work out for me but not in the right direction. The right direction is for me to be aimed from the center of the group at the revelation of the true Creator. And this can be done only when I have some revelation of the system.

21. S. (35:50) What do we do if a certain friend from the ten feels a certain insult towards the ten in that he's not cared for enough?

R. I don't know. Show him that you care about him all of the time. Just don't spoil him too much.

22. S. (36:30) It is written in the excerpt, a land that is not theirs. Does this mean that in advance He implants in them this feeling of being strangers in Egypt, or foreigners in Egypt?

R. Yes.

S. That's the conflict that we are in because on one hand he implanted something in them and on the other hand they’re in that environment?

R. Yes.

23. S. (37:00) What is Abraham’s question? Where does that come from?

R. Abraham cannot understand how his offspring are coming out of the will to receive in order to receive. So the Creator tells him, don't worry I will place them in such states that they will want to come out of those states. I will prepare for them Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, Egypt itself, to have many good reasons to escape it. And simultaneously they will feel some pleasant things, meaning relative to their ego, the will to receive, they will feel pleasant things. Relative from the other side, relative to their ego, they will feel how terrible it is and they will need to come out.

S. How can we come to Abraham’s question? Does it appear in us at a certain moment, this question, how does that work?

R. Of course everything written in the Torah we have to discover inside of us.

S. So how do I discover this question, does it appear at once because if I work let's say in the ten..

R. We discover it slowly, gradually, sometimes in parts, sometimes in its entirety but typically it is in parts until it appears to us in its complete form.

S. Can we take care let's say in the world Kli, that the question of Abraham will appear in us as soon as possible?

R. Go ahead, it is all up to you, it is all up to you. If you care for other tens and you want them to discover these things, then certainly you will awaken them more and they will awaken your ten in return, and in this way you will advance. Each shall help his friends. Clear?

24. S. (40:15) How could it be in the exile that Israel is in Egypt gives a deficiency that is sufficient to attain the whole ladder of degrees?

R. Because the exile is the revelation of the empty vessel, where he is lacking correction and filling and therefore, it is enough to move them from Egypt all the way to the end of correction.

25. S. (40:55) In this excerpt, also the previous one, it is writing about the state in which a person works and works and actually sees no light, doesn't see any response and it is explained to us in these excerpts, that it is done in order to augment the vessels. Why is it like that? Why is that the only way to advance to work and not see any results?

R. It's not exactly like that. We can see that between each state, between every seemingly bad state there is a good state, between every fall from recognising the state, there is a state of actual recognition of the state; everything is intermittent.

S. It turns out that many times in these states where you are working, that's where you feel the feeling of exile, meaning this additional work, the addition of work that you do that intensifies the feeling of exile. Is that the method?

R. If you pay attention you will say that these states, these bad states that are revealed are the ones that pull you to the good.

S. When we say good, the meaning is more connection with the Creator, more connection with the ten?

R. Yes, yes.

26. S. (42:35) Does he speak of desires or of lights as the land of Israel?

R. He speaks of desires but corresponding to the desires are the lights but the foundation of each and every state is the desire. Eretz [land] from the word, Ratzon [desire].

S. What are these big lights?

R. The great lights, they receive more and more on the condition that we overcome the difficult states. That's NRNHY that gradually appear to us according to the degree.

27. S. (43:50) You said something that really clicked in my head and in my heart that they felt something and they needed to come out of there. Is Pharaoh help against them and if you can talk a little bit about what Pharaoh is against him?

R. I couldn't understand anything from your question because I see you too don't understand what you're asking.

S. My question is simple, you said that when they were in Egypt and before they exited Egypt they felt something different, did they feel Pharaoh as a help against him and if so what is Pharaoh against him?

R. Yes, they felt that they will discover Pharaoh as help against, that what why they running away from Pharaoh in order to approach the Creator.

S. so what is that feeling that they felt we now need to feel in the ten?

R. That's a question I don't understand?

S. the question in what way did Pharaoh help them?

R. Pharaoh helped them because he is called evil. He reveals himself as evil so they would want to approach the good.

28. S. (45:46) When does a person start to feel in exile despite his freedom, he has work, family, he's leaving a relatively good materialistic life, when does he start to feel that?

R. When he doesn't take his corporeal life as something good but rather he just lives in it, but his eyes and heart are aimed at spirituality; then he begins to discover the correct stages in his spiritual development.

S. People of Israel who actually live in the area of Goshen that was the best area of Egypt, why did they start to feel exile, it was so good there?

R. the Creator arranges. The Creator arranges that.

S. The Creator brings me that feeling that I'm an exile and I have nowhere to run and i have no ability to do anything?

R. Yes. Yes, you are in His Palace and you have everything and suddenly it seems like a prison you cannot escape from.

S. and how do I come out of that state?

R. through the friends. a person cannot break himself out of bondage.

S. That's right, but at the first stage when I don't have the friends and a ten?

R. You have to arrange it so you have some.

S. Thank God today I have them. I'm saying to start with as an example.

R. So they bring you to a state where you can arrange yourself friends. Everything starts from that.

29. S. (48:08) this process will learn from Abraham and the descent to Egypt later, does it all take place in one person?

R. Yes.

30. S. (48:25) You said that the exile is the revelation of the empty vessel, when we work in the ten in awakening the friends we feel the opposite we feel the ascent so how to scrutinize from here correctly the matter of exile towards the ten so that in one hand it will be correct on the other hand we won't eat ourselves up on this?

R. To continue working on closeness between us and everything will come back to the good.

S. Meaning we as ourselves can only think about this with our mind and the work and the ten only practically gives us the revelation?

R. Yes.

S. And the exile that we feel is the matter of intention, the intention is not correct?

R. Yes.

31. S. (49:31) Can we prepare ourselves in the way that we will know in advance how to come out of all the descents or it's revealed to us each time from the darkness and each time we look for a new way to get out of it?

R. Each time it's revealed in a completely new way and you cannot approach it with your past experience towards those new actions that you find yourself, “each day should be as new in your eyes”.

32. S. (50:17) what is the group descent and what helps it rise out of it?

R. Fall of the group is a fall from the connection between the friends, and only the closeness between them can pull them out of that state. This is given to the group on purpose so it will rise up.

33. S. (51:05) We have a question from the ten: Is the ten capable of feeling the exile because the exile is important for the spiritual advancement?

R. Correct. Of course.

34. S. (51:50) I heard earlier that you said that from descent to ascent we can do this only if it's through the center of the ten to the revelation of the Creator that is the only right direction but it's only in a state where I'm in partial revelation of the system. The question is, if I am not in a partial revelation of the system but we learn how the system works, can I ask and turn through the center of the group, through depicting that state and not through revelation?

R. Yes. Yes.

35. S. (52:28) Do I have a choice from the desire to scrutinize whether I'm in an ascent or descent or just to think of friends?

R. Certainly the desire to think of the friends is the determining desire, and that’s what testifies whether you are in an ascent or descent, and you need as much as possible to be in ascent.

S. We say don't think about yourself, think about the friends so how to be included in them? Is it important to realize my own state?

R. Don't think of yourself, if you are aimed at the friends then simply be aimed at the friends, that will help you more than anything.

36. S. (53:48) I want to ask about the excerpt we read: they go down to Egypt in order to attain the big lights, so to begin with, where does this desire that they want the big lights to come from? What draws them to go down to Egypt?

R. They want the great lights so it will correct their will to receive and they will be able to be connected in practice between themselves and reveal the Creator between themselves that is the meaning of coming out of Egypt.

S. What's the purpose of entering Egypt before they exit?

R. The purpose of entering Egypt they don't want on their own, no one asked to go down to Egypt, no one is running down there, rather that's how it works out from the arguments between the sons of Jacob eventually brought them down to Egypt.

S. So the entrance to Egypt is a state that comes down upon us?

R. Yes, of course the entrance to Egypt reluctantly against my will. Who wants to go down to Egypt?

S. You said that we are going down to Egypt unwillingly, so the question is, the moment that going down to Egypt takes place from that point, is there already recognition that we want to exit from egypt?

R. I didn't understand it. I am sorry.

S. Can I try again?

R. Yes. When I come down to Egypt I don't want to come out of Egypt. I'm not there yet. I am not in Egypt itself so I have no reason to run away from it.

S. Clear but that's what I'm asking about, where is that initial point where you're recognizing that you are in Egypt?

R. When I begin to receive blows or I'm thrown into prison.

S. The blows are for what?

R. The blows are for the fact that I'm disconnected from my brothers and I'm disconnected from life in general.

S. Okay, and when I identify this disconnect, am I against this disconnect that I identified is the light that I want to attain?

R. Yes, for now this is how it is.

S. Clear, now inside of Egypt is there a work of connection between us there or we just discover how much we are disconnected?

R. In Egypt we discover how much we're disconnected, how much we have lack of light between us, in small measure; we were not connected before that, they were  but that was before we came down to Egypt.

S. Again I see as if this process of constantly recognizing the evil and how disconnected we are, how unconnected we are so against that do we have also the ability to work on the connection or we are only discovering all the time the opposite how unconnected we are?

R. We discover how much we are not connected because it will be against the connection we had before. This will help us understand how much we are growing distant together with that we have to recognize this distancing as something bad, and this is how we advance.

S. Clear, last question, so what does it mean that we're making a step forward in Egypt like towards the exit from Egypt?

R. Relative to The Exodus from Egypt we wish to discover in Egypt those values we would like to have when inside of Egypt. but instead we see that we're being thrown into deep pit, into prison, and we don't agree any longer to be in those connections with the wife of Potiphar and all those other places, but rather we begin to understand that Egypt is not such a good place like we thought about before we came down to Egypt. Before we came down to Egypt we thought it's a land full of milk and honey and it's full of abundance, because we were told about all the nations that were in Egypt. Egypt used to be the biggest richest nation in all of the Middle East, and here we discover that it's not good for us in Egypt.

S. Why exit Egypt if it's the place that has only abundance for the will to receive, where the need that we want to exit comes from?

R. The main thing that we cannot receive from Egypt is “love your friend as yourself”, only that. All those nations live in Egypt and enjoy Egypt, bow before  Pharaoh except for the people of Israel and although the Pharaoh wants to arrange for them the best conditions out of all of Egypt, they don't want it.

S. Why?

R. Because that is not where their heart aimed.

S. Where is it aimed to?

R. It is aimed towards connection and adhesion with the Creator.

37. S. (01:01:47) The state of Egypt is it a one-time thing or is it a multiple state?

R. No, going down to Egypt and coming out of Egypt is a singular thing.

S. But it sounds like each time we're working on the connection and we're thrown from Egypt?

R. Yes, because we have all kinds of discernments in us, all kinds of revelations, but the entrance is a one-time affair.

S. How does the person decide that he's now in Egypt, Is it the real Egypt from which we need to exit?

R. According to the fact that he has there is no option for him to be connected with the friends there's no possibility for it there their quarrels and conflicts and they certainly don't understand what is happening they don't want to approach the Creator although they wanted but they are incapable and so on and so forth this is all from the story, we will learn about it.

S. We seemingly heard about friends talking about their friends that they are distancing and they don’t tell us what to do. It sounds like whoever is distancing from the path is merited this Egypt because it is really feeling the disconnect. How does the friend who feels towards disconnect because you feel it? How do you need to come prepare yourself and maybe protect himself I don't know?

R. He has to check himself is he advancing according to his spirit or against his spirit, or with his will or against his will that’s the fork in the road, does he follow his mind and heart which means his following the evil inclination and he's going to lose big time on the entire inclination or he doesn't look at where he's being pulled to but only according to what Kabbalists have said and then he overcomes these problems that his heart brings and then he continues and he succeeds.

S. What is that prayer that a friend needs to raise in such a state because he is on the boundary he doesn't even feel anything, he even says I don't feel anything?

R. Not to follow his intellect that is the first condition

S. We should pray for that too?

R. Pray that his intellect will not drag him off the path of all kinds of proof and instead he's following Kabbalists.

38. S. (01:05:27) Is Egypt a result of the shattering and getting out of exile is it correction?

R. Coming out of Egypt, the exodus is certainly a correction but they will need to go through various events in order to prepare the vessel to qualify the Vessel it's qualified to leave Egypt it is not so simple. It is 400 years that the Exile from Egypt has to last and not less and then they are able to come out and the correction of the Vessel when they come out will be enough to bring them to the land of Israel to the next state.

39. S. (01:06:40) In the revelation of the empty Vessel of Exile where is the place for prayer for the Creator to correct our connections?

R. Specifically in this empty Vessel when you ask the Creator to correct your desires to fill them to give them the right direction to teach you how to pray, you start asking from zero.

S. But it's very hard from these states to..

R. I can't say anything about it being difficult but we have to do it.

40. S. (01:07:40) After we attained this gift from the Creator in this convention, how do we implement it dialogue and concern that is responsible for the Creator? Such that we will be able to just define ourselves as a responsible 10?

R. You connect in order to rise above all the forces of separation that is it, in the connection in the 10 you wish to cancel all the forces of separation between you and later between you and the Creator.

41. S. (01:08:40) I heard earlier that you said that for Abraham's question for the Creator actually he said don't worry I will put them in in the states which they will want to exit. If it's dictated and it’s kind of guided in an advance where is our human being something to do?

R. A person is constantly between Good and Evil and he has to sort them out and scrutinize them until he's incorporated in the middle line that he doesn't care about good and the bad only adhesion with the Creator.

S. So our work is just scrutiny, there is no Darkness or so place of freedom?

R. There is not.

42. S. (01:39:35) There is a state of engaging in the corporeal State and this causes me not to be concerned with or engaged in thinking more about my 10, how is it possible to care for such states to ask the Creator to give us more time for spirituality?

R. You can ask for anything, anything, and overtime and after many prayers you will understand you feel what should you ask more.

43. S. (01:10:47) There is a sensation that remaining time in Egypt is very very long and not in me and other friends that we feel it's truly, what is with the exit from Egypt?

R. When you are coming from out from under the rule of the Pharaoh from under the rule of your ego. Of course other things that you got from it are coming out with you nevertheless you're coming out from under the control of Egypt from this area you enter the desert and you continue for the land of Israel and that is the entire story until we come to Israel and we build the temple.

S. We're really asking to come out of the control of ego and you're constantly you're in it you see how Egypt each time is like you're exiting but once again it brings you back to life where you sucked into this life here. Still we are dwelling in this world how to really be in that inclination to just feel like we're going out of already and we are implementing the advices that you're giving us and this whole period we feel like we're here to the friends the lessons whatever you say we do it all we're doing everything and still we're stuck inside those states.

R. Of course it's natural, see also according to history what's written about it in the Torah we must go through many states even though we haven't gone through yet until we are rewarded with getting disconnected from Pharaoh and its powers. Until we are able to escape him and his army and he's descendants that will live on the other side of on the other side of Egypt, there is nothing you can do about it.

S. There is this feeling that like a state that everything or nothing everything complete absolute Soul devotion outside of all of your corporeal desires here and there is really some exit out towards a different reality?

R. Yes that's how it should be, the feeling is correct and the direction is right.

44. S. (01:14:18) You said that disconnecting the connection with the friends like relation needs to be against the connection that we felt previously that is how I understood it, is that right?

R. Yes.

S. What connection needs to be first for it to be minimal so I can feel the disconnect like the filing, like redemption.

R. Inside the friends you need to feel more connection, more separation, more separation, more connection, and through that we can begin to locate our position.

S. But what connection does there need to be there first which is minimal? I at least don't feel this connection, I'm in disconnect like it's finally like it's terrible.

R. You need to locate it detect it I hope that today or at most in the next lesson it will become clear.

45. S. (01:15:40) What is the motivating force in the desert?

R. He is pulling up through the desert to the purpose of life only the force of the Creator, only the force of the Creator. That he's going in front of us either as this firmament of fire or the firmament of a cloud.

S. How to feel the force of the Creator?

R. Within the connection of the friends.

46. S. (01:16:22) We feel that our will to receive is swallowing all of our corporeal achievements and all of our work and the ten and all our efforts and we also pray and we ask, so what else are we lacking, what are we lacking in order to really come out of this state?

R. Connection and prayer connection and prayer.

S. But He keeps swallowing that too?

R. I told you.

47. S. (01:17:13) Happy holiday. The states of descent, exile, entering Egypt, coming out of Egypt, are those processes that each one has to go through individually or only the ten together?

R. Both.

S. Is that parallel to the process of building the Arvut between us, meaning I have to be the first one who jumps and together the whole ten after me?

R. Yes.

48. S. (01:17:53) What we have talked about yesterday that mutual bridge, did Rabbi Shimon’s ten, they worked 2,000 years ahead of their time meaning they did everything for us who came 2,000 years after. We as the last generation, our ten, we're building a home for the world. Should we concentrate on us building a foundation too and how do we come to it as one ten building a home for the world?

R. If we connect between us and build a Kli of ten Sefirot, the temple for all the world Kli, that's how we will do it and it doesn't matter if they are ten or ten billion it doesn't matter at all.

S. If I could be more precise. In order to not deal with how much time we're here ten, twenty years, we've got work to do and we have to do gladly, that the emphasis is the connection that our reason won't take us towards what's up with us, when will it show up already, but that there will be happy ending for everybody. Can we concentrate on that, the whole world Kli?

R. I think that all of you will enter that world Kli that will feel the final correction only you need to continue lowering your head.

49. S. (01:19:59) Continuing this subject, once we let's say we enter the exile into exodus, that is only once, but the process to be in exile it looks like there is a recurring process going on from ups and downs from darkness to light every time again, it's sort of a searching process going on there as if it's everyday anew, but how many times does this have to happen again before we can start, let's say, coming out of Egypt, how does that exactly work because it looks like it is expanding darkness, expanding light, as if it sort of burst at certain moment, there's sort of a climax of coming to the deepest darkness into the highest light before we start exiting. So how many times does it have to repeat itself or expand itself before we can start heading for Israel through the desert?
