Passover - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. (Every boy who is born, cast him in the Nile. #145)

Passover - Main page for all chapters

1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:18) Yes, we are continuing our preparations for Passover, our Pesach, is our common effort, of all of us, the men and the women, everyone from all the edges of the globe. That we want together, precisely with the mutual help to reach the state where we are ready to convince the Creator to help us rise from our ego to the degree of love, bestowal connection and that this will happen to us. This for us is called the exodus from Egypt and we hope very much to reach that.

Reading excerpt #145 (01:18) “ If he is a boy, if his aim..” twice.

2. R. (03:25) Yes, this means that the forces that work against Israel, they work in a deterministic manner, meaning if indeed there is a great force in a person to get out then opposite it, opposing forces are activated accordingly. And if he has small forces then great forces are not activated against it and so it turns out that more or less, people who are ready for the exodus from Egypt they can be close and connected to each other and directed towards the single goal and they are assisted with One Upper Force.

3. S. (04:20) If Egypt discovers beforehand or can see in a person his intention in order to correct them in coming out of the exile, then what to add to our preparation?

R. No, here it's not about revealing more to him or not but rather if a person is in a state where he is ripe and ready to feel what does it mean exile, what does it mean redemption, then this exercise is played on him it is very simple. It all depends on the Upper plan, and if indeed a person wants to take this plan on himself, then he joins a group and he begins to see them. He has to check according to the ten how much in it each and everyday he feels his friends in the ten as closer to him, closer to his heart. But he understands that only when the hearts of the ten will begin to come together, then he will feel in them the exodus from Egypt. This is actually the sign I would say. That's it, that the connection begins between the hearts even to some extent, these are already the signs that he is moving out of Egypt.

4. S. (06:20) What does it mean that I can feel my friends closer to me each and every day in the ten? How do I test it? What does it mean close, in what way?

R. I begin to think and to understand in the heart. It is written that the heart understands, that I begin to understand in my heart that connection with them is actually the process that I have to go through. As much as I accept them as closer, as much as I feel them more that they belong to me, it means that I am advancing to the understanding of what Egypt is, what is the exodus from Egypt because it is all connected and it all circles around “love your friend, as yourself,” the great rule of the Torah. This is the rule around which is the whole Torah. This is why we must pressure ourselves, pressure our heart more and more. How can we feel ourselves as closer to the friends, so that nevertheless, inside we will feel within us that there is this inner movement towards each other and this is how we hope that indeed we will exit each one from the feeling of himself and we will be rewarded with the feeling of the other.

5. S. (08:28) Each passing day are we supposed to feel the friends closer or more distant?

R. Closer.

S. And if you feel them more distant, naturally?

R. Well that too, when you develop the sensitivity for it and you feel that they could be farther away but it could be that they are really closer but you are still developing your emotions towards them. Seemingly, you want to feel them as closer and you discover that they are far away and this revelation is what concerns you, pressures you, you but whichever way you look at it, changes towards the friends is something that is very practical. This indeed, according to this, we can check who we are and where we are.

S. What is the change the person is seeking relative to the friend and what is the novelty relative to them?

R. It's from one day to the next. I feel that they are coming closer to me according to my feeling and I depend more and more on my closeness to them. “One who is greater than his friend, his inclination is greater” and so it doesn't matter that they are partly, already connected between them and I feel myself as far away from them. So, this is how my heart is, this is how my ego is. It doesn't give me, it doesn't allow me that for now but the fact that I begin at least to feel that I am far away from them, this already, these are the first steps towards the revelation of the truth.

S. He writes if he is rewarded with the degree of Moses what does that depend on in the ten?

R. Moses, well first of all, it's the Upper Force that is revealed in us and pulls us out of Egypt. It's the force that goes ahead of us, leads us, takes us from the enslavement in the will to receive that we don't know how to get out of it and what it is even precisely. So how to get into the will to bestow? We need to get to know the Moses in us, there is no greater force than Moses. Seemingly, there is no person who is more precious than Moses because he delivers us out of this beastly world to the upper spiritual human world.

6. S. (12:20) I wanted to ask when a person advances you say the ego grows, the burdening of the heart, the line of distancing but you said unless a person becomes more loving and more connected to the friends, how do those two lines connect? On the one hand, you say that when you advance the ego grows and on the other hand, you explain how the closeness of the friends grows as well in the ten towards their feelings. So we always emphasize that when we advance the ego grows. You and Rabash speak more about that and less about being able to love more. The question is: how do those two lines work together, as my ego grows and my love towards the friends grows?

R. Because one grows on top of the other. The greater the ego is the more I understand it, I detect it more and also sometimes, I'm able to overcome it, to see it as my enemy opposite me and so I see that it actually helps me to see my true state and to truly want the help of the Creator.

S. So just to understand how to see my advancement in love of friends, is there that I love the friends today more than yesterday, simply emotional there is no sign?

R. The signs in order to measure it exactly, to weigh it, to check it, we don't have them but we will have them, yes, it is the coarseness in the degree when it will be revealed we will know exactly what it is that we have in our hands.

7. S. (14:30) Sometimes we feel closer to some friends and less close to others. Is that natural? Is that okay, should we do something about it?

R. No, no, the most important is to get closer to everyone, not to measure it is more with this one and less with the other one. It depends on our character, on the souls, on many elements that will change later but we will certainly want to relate to everyone equally. But who knows when it is equal and when it needs to be, and how it will happen. Don't pay attention to that, the most important thing is to relate to everyone and even if there are such people that I remember last, if I even remember them in the ten, that too is not too bad. I for the time being want to bring them closer to myself or to get closer to everyone.

8. S. (15:48) During the lessons and workshops and other activities with the friends, my heart is very closely tied to the friends but I can't maintain this feeling of connection during the day throughout all of the corporeal events I am going through. How to hold on to this connection during the day?

R. It's very difficult and there are certainly such times when we forget all together where we are. But this all depends on the depth of the feeling. If a person, God forbid, has some great problem at home and even if he is at work or is driving in his car or he goes into a shop or whatever he is doing which is unrelated to this problem that he has at home but he doesn't forget about it. It remains in him as something that is constantly hindering him until it will disappear altogether. Well, let's say there's a cure and so we need to try to think about what is happening, why does it hurt us, truly it is the Creator who is awakening us and when we ask of Him to cure the problem because He is the doctor, the physician of all of those who are ill. And in this way we will exit this ego, and afterwards certainly will get into a greater ego. This is how it is from a small will to receive to a greater will to receive. This is how we get closer to the great corrections.

9. S. (17:52) You said earlier that we are starting to locate the ego and detect it. We see it as the enemy and we see it as something against me and it helps me resist and fight it and truly come to need the help of the Creator. And this evil is like the Egyptians who come to kill the boy in me, the one who wants to connect to the ten, the one who truly wants. What's confusing a bit is that we learn that we need to overcome or rise above reason. So what kind of pleasure do I have to reject and which pleasure do I have to agree with? Do I have to agree with the pleasure of coming closer to the friends because there is pleasure in that? What will kill me and what will keep me alive?

R. I need to see the goal. To depict myself in the goal and to measure everything towards that state, that I attain the goal. The goal is that we all connect together “As one man, with one heart” and we feel the Creator also inside of this. We reach complete adhesion and when I depict that then this is how I am close to all of the friends; I want all of them to be inside.

10. S. (19:48) What can we do in order to take advantage of the coarseness that is revealed so that it will become the part that brings us closer to the work rather than push us away from it, how can we take advantage of it?

R. It all depends on our intentions and how they are all connected between them, this is how we need to do it, to each one to discover his own intentions and to try in those intentions to connect with all of the friends, this is our daily work.

11. S. (20:43) Can every male develop the quality of Moses and what is this quality of Moses inside of me?

R. It is written that the development of Moses in each and every generation, that in each and everyone there is this quality and we need to think in general, it is not a person, it is a quality that the Creator created in us and we have to discover this quality and to connect these qualities together between us so that it will be a complete image of Moses before us and that we are following him.

12. S. (21:50) Does a person reach awareness in the process for what Pharaoh is doing to him?

R. Yes, of course. We need to reach, to learn who Pharaoh is, what is it that he wants, what does he do to us, how is he related in general? Why did the Creator create him, why did He establish him in such a way before us? We need to realize that this is an Upper Force, the Creator doesn't do anything redundant but rather we need to get to know Pharaoh, our ego, our unique, special ego that is seemingly turning us in the opposite direction, away from the goal but through this oppositeness because we are opposite to the goal also, so we can use it in order to establish Pharaoh, to straighten him and in this way to get closer to the Creator. So it turns out that Pharaoh and the Creator are actually two forces which are one opposite the other, and Pharaoh exists in order for us to depict the Creator, to detect Him, where He is and in what form and how do we get closer to Him and identify with Him.

S. The Kabbalists, in those excerpts, write about Pharaoh, as if he is doing it in concealment from a person and it prevents him, not that he's making it difficult or sending him the opposite way, it prevents the person from reaching spirituality?

R. Yes.

S. That’s what it feels like. It feels like the Creator created this power that prevents a person, that holds him back, not that he is helping him directly. Why do the Kabbalists write in this way?

R. In order to discover what is obstructing us. He doesn't hide what is distancing us, He's revealing to us in such a way what is obstructing us, and then thanks to that, with His help we can go forward. And we pray and we connect and we ask the Creator that He will purify us from, cleanse us from Pharaoh, from his force, that we want to run away from him, to get away from him. And so Pharaoh by revealing himself more and more he is actually helping us to detect him and move away from him until we truly run away from Egypt.

S. One more thing it says here that Pharaoh does everything to prevent a person from feeling and he throws us into the Nile in advance, anything not to reach the quality of Moses?

R. Yes, this is how the revelation of evil is.

S. How can we reveal him if He doesn’t let us reach the feeling of him?

R. But ultimately, specifically through that we discover that there is an obstructor who is between us and he's not letting us get closer to each other, is not letting us connect and this obstructor is the force of Pharaoh inside each and every one of us.

S. What kind of actions can we do, so the feeling that we have, the obstructor between us will appear in us more and more?

R. Only connection and to discover that we are not succeeding in our connection in all of its movements, in all of its manners because there is the force of Pharaoh there, who doesn't want to let us connect.

13. S. (26:15) What is required of us, what should we do? What is the only choice when we are choosing this point, if we knew that the Creator would help, we would have done nothing, that's why there is concealment on Him?

R. Well, let's say that it is so.

S. So following this, what is the middle between exertion and prayer?

R. That we see that through the exertion, we can't really attain anything but only with the help of the Upper One, the help of the Upper Force and then we erupt in a Prayer.

14. S. (27:21) This eruption of the prayer, is it always after a certain full measure of labor? Why do we accept this point that we have to come to this after being exhausted for when the prayer comes out?

R. Because before you reach the exhaustion of your forces you cannot turn to the Creator with your cry, with your very last force and you pull yourself out before Him. This is actually how you get help. If you can't reach that, it is a sign that you still believe that you have forces of your own that you can be your own boss.

S. That means that Pharaoh is still in control?

R. Yes.

Reading excerpt #146 (28:24) “How can they know that he is going..”

15. S. (30:33) A question about working with the friends: do I always need to approach the friends with the goal of connecting and annulling myself or sometimes is it correct to approach the friends and discover the distance between us and this will lead us to the truth, a request, a true prayer, what is more accurate, more precise?

R. I don't need to understand why you need to discover the distance that exists between you and the friends if the purpose of creation is to restrict this distance between you and your friends and reach a state where you are in adhesion with each other. So what is the benefit out of discovering a certain distance? What is the benefit in that? In order to pray so we reach the feeling of the distance and then we pray. I don't need to ask of the Creator that He if He will reveal the bad to me. From here on, from the state that I am in I want to discover in the present state the bad, that I am far away from the Creator and then to get closer from this state to the good to adhesion with the Creator. What is the benefit if now I discover more and more and more bad, maybe I won't be able to ask over it, to get out. This is why, in that state that we are in, we need to try to detect what is obstructing me from being in adhesion with the friends and through them with the Creator, and this obstruction is what I want to remove. This is how it is in each and every degree.

16. S. (33:00) What do we take from each excerpt into our work?

R. Each one should take what he thinks. I think that these excerpts are very strong and you truly need to chew up from them and to extract from them as much as possible the internality within them. For the time being we don't succeed in that so much I see but we should continue and see.

17. S. (33:33) If you ask: what is Rabash trying to teach us? What is faith is the back and knowing is the face, how should a person be arranged?

R. We need to discern two states: one state is that we are not in adhesion, we are in the posterior, in the back towards each other and towards the Creator and the second state is that we are connected between us, this is called face to face and in that also, with our face towards the Creator. As much as we are towards the Creator in the back, and later in the face, we accordingly can feel ourselves, we can detect, orient ourselves and turn ourselves more and more towards Him. We have the present state that we are in. That is what we discover this state is called the present state and there is a desirable state that we want to get closer to Him. We want to be in Him. This is how we get closer and so we simply need to try. We need to try. There is nothing here besides what we learnt earlier that we need to try: How do we get closer to each other in order to reach a state where as much as we get closer we start to see the redemption in that.

S. Do we have to yearn for the face?

R. Yes.

S. Baal HaSulam writes that we have to yearn for the aspect of faith and he doesn’t need more than that, so be satisfied and yearn for the state of Achoraim?

R. Faith is bestowal; to yearn for bestowal, yes.

S. Here there is something additional seemingly that you have to do which is the revelation of the face?

R. So we have to do that according to equivalence of form according to our bestowal and the Creator’s bestowal we will discover each other, according to the law of equivalence of form.

S. So from yearning for faith then the Creator gives us the revelation of the face?

R. Yes.

18. S. (36:18) How can we squeeze the internality that happens at the source?

R. According to how much you connect and how much you ascend, accordingly you will be able to get into the excerpt or the passage or an entire article and see the internality of it.

S. I am just paying attention that this Passover every lesson you open up a whole Ein Sof before us and our ability to grasp it. I am trying to understand how we can expand the ability to absorb what you are trying to give us?

R. I don't know, talk between you for a few minutes. What is it that you recommend each one of you to the others?

Active workshop. (37:30) What does each one recommend to the others?

Reading excerpt #147 (41:41) “Cast him in that Nile..”

Active Workshop. (42:37) What is the difference between the Egyptians who remain, those who remain in Egypt, that is the people who stay in Egypt and those who get out of Egypt according to what it says here? What do they give birth to out of their work?

19. S. (48:20) So what gives us the strength to come back and scrutinize the intention of our actions that you won't do anything automatically and think that we are advancing and mainly because of the time that is passing seemingly, rather, each time anew we can put in the exertion and the inner scrutiny?

R. Yes we have the force that rejects us and pushes us forward, it’s the Upper Force, it doesn't let us rest but it constantly awakens in us the will to receive that wants to attain the purpose of creation. This is why we are compelled, we have to understand where we are and what is happening to us. It all comes to us from above, without that awakening we would not move.

S. Yes, but there's also a voice in a person that says just the fact that he's present and he shows up to another lesson, another meal, another Zoom and so on and so forth, seemingly that's enough and then he doesn't exert in connection or the work of asking and so on and so forth. So how to coerce the will to receive to enter this inner work?

R. First of all what the mind doesn't do, time does. There are such times when a person simply does and does and does or he doesn't do, doesn't do, doesn't do but later on it all accumulates later in a positive or negative way and he begins to ask himself where is he and what is happening to him and why and he searches for an answer. It happens to each and every one of us. There are times that are this way or that way, and if one is in the right environment then he multiplies himself that the good deficiencies or maybe not so good deficiencies of the society then he advances much faster, this is how it works.

20. S. (50:40) What does the Hebrew woman symbolize when she gives birth?

R. The Hebrew woman who gives birth, what it symbolizes is that she gives birth in a person to the will to bestow or at least something that is closer to the desire to connect with others, the desire to study, the desire that already pertains or belongs to the correction.

21. S. (51:20) It's not so clear the difference between the state of a boy that's cast into the Nile and the boy that might be rewarded with the quality of Moses?

R. No, Moses was also cast to the Nile, so that is not a question.

S. I guess I assume that if a boy is sent to the Nile that he dies?

R. No, Pharaoh obligated everyone to be sent to the Nile and Moses. The daughter of Pharaoh called Bithiah, that's her name, she found him in the Nile. She want for a stroll by the Nile and she saw Moses who was lying in this big leaf apparently because he was a baby, and so she told those who accompanied her that they should get him out of the Nile and she took him home and Moses grew with her.

S. When a boy is thrown into the Nile he's not given vitality as far as I understand, he's not given vitality for the work like a girl does, so is Moses also a boy who isn't given vitality for the work or is he different from the other boys?

R. No, it's not exactly like that, we will learn about it. There are many details in here and whichever way you look at it you're actually asking about the difference between the boys and the girls, it should be a son, the boy doesn't mean that he's a man as it is for us but rather the boy, according to his desire, that he wants to grow and be a man, meaning to overcome his egoistic desire and this is why he is called a boy, this is how we relate to it.

22. S. (54:45) What's the difference between boys and Moses?

R. That Moses is truly a will to receive that already has to begin with an inclination, a great inclination towards bestowal, that's it.

23. S. (55:05) The story is very interesting with the Pharaoh. According to his command he throws this child to the Nile and Pharaoh's daughter, she's a woman who takes Moses and grows him and raises him and educates him in her house. It's an interesting story, how on the one hand, it's the egoistic desire and later that same egoistic desire you bring him into your home, how does that work this way?

R. Well it was very a complicated history and it's not sufficiently explained in the right deep Kabbalistic manner, not in the Torah or the Wisdom of Kabbalah because it speaks about the concealment, in taking the world to correction, this is the Creator’s matter not our issue. We are in that we're performing the action but it's not that we can decide anything there. This is why it's explained in such a way that you have the facts that are such and such and such and these are the actions of the Nature and we are in these actions and we carry them out and they come down to us, pressure us, compel us and this is how we are manipulated by them, towards corrections. This is why for the time being, we will leave them aside and this is how we will accept it. Clearly it's not so simple and also Pharaoh's daughter like you said Batya, Batya, is the daughter of the Lord, the daughter of the Creator and in short, there are many things here that are explained in the Torah in a concealed manner. One time we will talk more deeply about it.

24. S. (57:52) Do those who stay in Egypt understand that they are in Egypt and can a person know he's in Egypt even before he studies the wisdom of Kabbalah?

R. No, of course nobody knows that he's in Egypt. You can ask them in the street, they will make fun of you, that's one thing and the other is that it doesn't matter to a person if he's in Egypt or he's not in Egypt unless he already has a sense that opens up and he wants to know where he is with respect to the Upper world, with respect to the Creator and he is already performing all kinds of actions accordingly; how to rise.

25. S. (58:58) In the story where Pharaoh's daughter rescued Moses, is that related to the inversion of the will to receive into the will to bestow?

R. Not yet the inversion, the transition but it's already the direction of detecting these things correctly and bringing them closer to the Exodus.

26. S. (59:46) What's the meaning of he won't let him even name with corporeal actions for the sake of heaven? How does that relate to the ten?

R. The ten should see and discuss where it has such inclinations within it and what can it do in order to straighten its line towards the corrections.

S. If I don't give the power of bestowal to the friends it means that I don't let them come out in corporeal actions?

R. Of course. Each and everyone.

27. S. (01:00:36) What are we taking out of Egypt, the intention or the person?

R. The vessels the corrupted desires in order to correct them.

S. And the intention to bestow, is it in me?

R. The intention to bestow is what we run away with, as much as we have intentions to bestow, we hardly have them.

28. S. (01:01:10) The work of Egypt is work that is good for the ego and the feeling of deficiency to come out of Egypt. I'm trying to find it in me and I don't have it in me. What should I do?

R. You should think that all the work that you are doing is only for the benefit of Pharaoh, that nothing remains for you from your entire life.

29. S. (01:01:55) In those excerpts, under the instruction of Pharaoh to throw each boy to the Nile and cast him into the Nile, it means that you don't bury him elsewhere?

R. That the desire in order to receive is a shell and it should remain there.

30. S. (01:02:22) Sometimes it's important for me to hear and see the teacher physically and the friends in order to come out of the will to receive and sometimes I succeed anymore only if I hear something they said or if I read something, how to succeed in feeling the teacher and the friends not only from seeing and hearing them?

R. You need to do both this and that to speak but also sometimes to just read on your own

31. S. (01:03:09) There are moments in which I hate myself and then I discover, where I discover this hate I can immediately cover it and go back to a better state, is this a state where Pharaoh becomes our desires before we are able to bestow, and if yes how can I create a state where all the time through these opposites we are able to approach the Creator?

R. I connect more with the friends and I depict to myself more what corrections mean at the one end of correction and I see how much the adhesion between us truly brings us, just like wearing in an airplane and you're flying to that point of the end of correction. This is how I continue.

32. S. (01:04:33 ) How can we keep our desire to bestow alive to feel the Moses quality?

How can we maintain our desire to bestow in life and maintain our desire in life, in order to  feel the quality of Moses?

R. All the time to be concerned about increasing the desire to bestow. This is very easy in a group each time, eac time, I need to check how much I feel myself as closer to the friends.

Reading subheading (01:05:23) 148 “why was Moses called. .”

33. R. (01:06:05) This means that these questions of what and who, and what is this work that you do, and who is the creator that I should obey? This is called the 'evil waters of the Nile' where our ego absorbs it and by this it allows it to blossom. Whereas if a person doesn't use these questions of what and who in such an egoistic manner, so that he can already come out of the Nile, come out of this water and eventually run away from Egypt. This is why Moshe, Moses, is called Moses because he was pulled out specifically by the daughter of pharaoh Bhatia (Bat, Yud, K) meaning the daughter of the Creator. She pulled him out from the what and who of these questions so that he stopped asking these questions and that he wanted to advance. This is how Moses grew up with her, she gave him education and upbringing, she educated him, and took care of him. This is why Moses on the one hand is called Pharaoh's son or Pharaoh's grandson actually, Batia is Pharaoh's daughter, This is how he grew up at Pharaoh's house, meaning he perceived everything there is inside of the great original egoistic desire, he received all of it from Pharaoh and those people that Pharaoh commanded to educate and take care of Moses.

34. S. (01:08:32) What does a person have in advance to the daughter of Pharaoh to pull him out and to raise him?

R. It's the root of the Soul, that Soul Called Moses. This is how he grew up and this is how he absorbed the wisdom of the world, the wisdom of the egoistic nature. and the wisdom of the altruistic nature. The two forms of nature were in his hands and he was able to work both of them.

S. Each one of us has this root of the soul that allows us to be in the quality of Moses? Each and everyone?

R. Moses in general lives in each and everyone, in all the dwellers of the world as it is written

35. S. (01:09:49) I want to clarify the question of how will I identify inside of me the quality of the conception of the Hebrew women that I will be able to save the boy from being cast into the Nile?

R. You will begin to see it according to your desires, whether a desire awakens in you, a desire of Moses and this is how you will advance it's all according to the inner sense.

36. S. (01:10:34) The point of Moses on one hand is the highest point and the point of connection with the Creator on the other hand it has to do with Pharaoh, it's connected to Pharaoh that contracept extreme quality has to be maintained

R. Yes, in order to reach the state of the Messiah, he has to be in the greatest will to receive. the lowest and the most corrupted desire and to learn the entire wisdom of Pharaoh, until he reaches a state where he absorbs all of the wisdom of Israel but he rises together with all of them. with both of them.

S. You said that he didn't have questions of who and what, how can it be that he's so connected to pharaoh and not use these questions?

R. When did I say that?

S. We read it in the article and it says that these are known questions, and who is the teacher that I should listen to? How can you not use these questions?

R. That will be later, that Moses will stand opposite Pharaoh. Wait for that.

37. S. (01:12:37) Is it true and correct that the point of Moses in each and every one of us is what's valuable about us?What's equal?

R. In each one of us is the point of Moses, according to the nature of this person this point becomes clear it pulls a person to correction.

S. Could you say that this Moses, if we combine all the points of Moses between us it will be the center of the Ten?

R. Forget about that.

S. Don't go there?

R. I can't stand it when there's all these things that we don't know about them and we already start to begin this some kind of high palaces, or holes, no forget about it. Whatever we know, that's what we know, we should have whatever few points we have, and as for the entire structure it will become clear later it will be clarified later.

38. S. (01:14:00) What is the The River Nile?

R. The River Nile is a place where we receive vitality, life. It comes from the Creator, to the will to receive called Egypt, and he has to give Egypt this force so that Egypt will live, so that they will be able to fill themselves with the upper force and to give something to the will receive otherwise the will to receive will not exist. The shell also exists because sanctity revives it, it exists for the purpose of the final correction, and so the Nile is truly a holy river, in that because it has the upper force in it that revives Egypt. This is true only until while the people of Israel were in Egypt once they left Egypt it all started to deteriorate.

39. S. (01:15:31) If the point of Moses in a person is the point in the heart then what is the quality of Bhatia that pulls him out of the river?

R. That's the upper force that in the will to receive gives the will to receive an opportunity to grow, that's it.

S. Why is it a female? Why in the Torah does it say female?

R. She gives him milk and helps him grow and cultivates him. The woman is engaged in growing up the girls and the boys.

S. Can I say this is a quality of Hesed?

R. I don't like studying it this way, I like to study what's written and that's enough and to go out to philosophy or something else, it's best not to.

40. S. (01:17:09) I want to ask about the connection between our work with the sources, in what way and what form does a person need to search within himself and identify all the discernments that we study?

R. We're now learning the sources in a very very abbreviated way, tight and close to us, in order to understand the whole process humanity has to go through from the beginning of creation until it's end, and when this process will be clear to us, for all of us, we'll be also able to seemingly awaken all of the questions and also to answer all of them and all the answers for them, we will be able to expand our relation to the story and to see how in it the secrets, hints, etc. In the meantime, we've got Passover and that's the main thing coming out of exile is the closest state for us on the path all the rest will come later.

S. What type of question does a person need to awaken in himself and in the lesson to the Rav

and to everyone, to discern and scrutinize the excerpts in the right way?

R. What type of questions? I can't even say this way what type of questions the type of questions, by which I rise above my own will to receive in order to receive.

S. When you suggested to us to chew on them, to go over them more to awaken the internality, how do I do it so I don't get confused?

R. I want to feel at the end of the answer a scrutiny, how can I come out through the question and answer, from the state of exile to the state of redemption Geula.

41. S. (01:20:01) To continue the friend about discerning the excerpts in the 10 sometimes we read them and no questions come up they don't come up in the Ten, so should we read it over and over again until there's a question or go over another excerpt?

R. Yes, no no, you should read it a few times, you should read it several times as it's written to the source, and one is the translation. This means that we need to repeat the sources several times and only then we may think about it and know somehow it's really important. The better you know the source, that's why they didn't have books in the past. A person, one person, let's say the teacher, everyone would listen. Why should everyone have a book? Today is with the computer and the database and Etc, there is no such a thing.

If a person used to desire learning, he had to know it by heart. This is why, this is how you learned, you remember it by heart and this is the meaning of studying Torah. The first step is to know it by heart. This is why children used to sit and learn the words by heart. My son when he was a child, he used to learn in Jerusalem and the Yeshiva. There, they used to learn it all by heart, according to the method of Ramchal. They learned it all by heart, everything. Each and every word in the Torah they had to memorize. Meaning if someone said one word, the next kid could continue it and the third kid, Etc and they would really photocopy in their brain the whole Torah. It is essential. I would say it's beyond essential because in our brain we don't yet know the connection between the Torah and the brain and the more the brain absorbs the Torah, wanting to remember it in Hebrew. To what extent, by that it arranges all its cells in the right way, we'll talk about that one day

42. S. (01: 23:12) We spoke about it many times and what I understood is we are not here to remember things by heart, to absorb them and feelings and sensations and take them into the Ten, to discern and chew on it and execute what is written there, and what we call those who memorize everything by heart, Jerusalem Kabbalist that know everything by heart but have no approach towards the truth. so I'm a little confused if we need to?

R. You're not a little bit confused, you're more than a little. The fact that we talked about learning things by heart when there's no continuing, after that. Here we learn what comes next, we learn the internality of things so it'll be easier if everything is in your box in your head and then you can work with it. That's the difference, so your confusion is pretty serious. It's not a little confusion.

43. S. (01: 24:42) It seems like everyone of us are in some darkness or confusion. How can we advance in the darkness with the Ten,so that we can advance together?

R. Our goal is one. TThat is why it is not such a problem that we have many questions. There is no problem that we are confused. Ultimately, we all have to reach one goal and there we will connect.

44. S. (01:25:45) What is Egypt for Bnei Baruch?

R. Egypt for Bnei Baruch is our great will to receive, that separates us, not letting each of us connect this feeling that we feel that each of us exist in and of himself and we don't have mutual feeling that we want to reveal the Creator, that is called Egypt this feeling How should I say it? It's a feeling of vacant space between us, empty and something that there's nothing that connects us, that is called Egypt.

45. S. (01:26:57 Is it possible to influence so that a boy to be born with a quality of Moses, Moshe and if so how?

R. No, it all depends on the upper plan, but what for? Nonetheless we all reach the degree of Moses, everyone reaches the degree of Moshe and everyone reaches the end of correction and connection, and adhesion in the Creator with all the 625 degrees.

46. S. (01: 28:13) The Creator plays with our desires, how can we relate to them in a positive way so that it reveals itself before the Pharaoh?

R. The Creator plays with our deficiencies and we need to relate to them in a positive way because specifically through this game with our corrupt desires, we can discover Pharaoh and discover the Creator. When Pharaoh and the Creator are basically the same force, only in a positive or negative way. This is how we would advance towards the purpose of creation, where all of us, both the good and the bad will all unite together, to the purpose of the revelation of the Creator to all the created beings.

47. S. (01:29:26) I'm confused with the depiction that you described that Moses was brought out from the Nile by Bhatia and then you're saying that the Nile is like holy water from the Creator, so I was left a little confused and I don't understand how the two connect?

R. I can't explain anymore to you, but rather you need to read the book The Torah it's written there in simple language that the daughter of Pharaoh Bhatia went out to take a walk by the Nile and she saw in the Nile a big leaf or not even a leaf it was like a basket. In this basket she saw a child lying down so she gave an order to the people by her side, who were around her to get him out of the water this child, and she took him to her palace and she started taking care of him and spoiling him ,and later teaching him. He was a few days old, she took care of him and as he grew up he became a young fellow and he was treated like the king's grandson of Pharaoh and he was well known and great and important among the Egyptians. This is how he grew up this means that he knew all the wisdom of the Egyptians he was taught. etc.

48. S. (01:32:20) How to increase sensitivity towards the friends through the discernments we're going through in the lesson?

R. Think about that all the time, think how important it is to be sensitive to friends and how much I am not sensitive enough, dry.

49. S. (01:32:59) Moses receives a period of Education in the home of Bhatia, in the home of pharaoh. What is that period of upbringing of education in the home of  Bhatia, in the home of Pharaoh and what did he receive?

R. They taught him all the wisdom of the Egyptians. Meaning everything that a person should know in order to fulfill his ego  in various ways and possibilities, that is called the Egyptians wisdom and Moses knew about that and this is how he grew up. That's it. Until he grew up and when he was older the root of the Hebrews, his own nation, arose and then he killed the Egyptians. Later, we'll find out what happens but you should read the Torah. It's a book that I'm certain every language has in many places, libraries read it . Read this, read it at least once this book is something without it I don't think a person can say he's an educated, respected person.

50. S. (01:35:46) Can I relate to the Nile as the flow of life that a person is always in the flow of life in the will to receive?

R. The will to receive, yes, you can say it's the will to receive. He''s in the will to receive.

51. S. (01:35:11) I can't increase my will to receive so how can I receive a big desire to such an extent that it will awaken the quality of Moses in me?

R. Through society, by the connection with your friends.

52. S. (01:35:58) I wanted to ask again, you said earlier that an empty room between us is the empty place between us is, that it's called Egypt. What connection us in the Ten is our desire, for adherence to the Creator for bestowal, to be similar to the Creator and when we sit with the friends and we awake in one another for the importance of the goal, we answer a workshop, we read together, we come to a state, where we all are awake and then where are we?

R. Still uplifted but not beyond that you have to extend that and continue that more and more.

S. How do we make this connection really qualitative?

R. Try to demand to have a tendency in your heart to connect all the hearts of your friends.

S. I meant that I can't see inside the heart of a friend, I can see her awakening?

R. Okay, that's enough, that's enough. Rise in your awakening according to her awakening and you will connect these two awakenings into one joint awakening and that's enough for you to rise to the next degree towards the Creator.

S. What place is it in if it's not Egypt?

R. You'll discover that. It's called better than two, then one.

53. S. (01:38:18) The Nile River is a very important place for us what's…

R. That all depends on a person in what way a person accepts what he gets from the Creator.

54. S. (01:38:25) What I do spiritual work the will to receive is revealed in me and even those the will to receive can I say that qualitatively it is aligned and aimed towards the Creator?

R. We talked about it all lesson long. I'm sorry but I don't have the strength to explain it anymore.

55. S. (01:39:36) How can we use the force of Pharaoh to increase the force of Moses in us?

R. Try to place the force of Moses against Pharaoh, we'll learn that it's just the beginning of the subject.
