Passover - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #67

1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:19) Yes this is truly interesting. What does it mean that Pharoah drew closer? How can it be that the will to receive the Creator created in us that is completely for oneself all of a sudden we are talking about it as the force through which we do come closer to love and bestowal, connect and all the good things. How can it be the force of evil operating as the force of good, there is no other example of such in our lives, let’s check and see, but who would have thought that specifically through the Pharaoh we can get closer to correction.

That we could be against the Pharaoh and here we really see how that force which The Creator created as our ego which is the symbol of all forces. So much so that they wanted to make out of their bodies as we see it in Egypt in all of their graves how they cared for the eternal body and that the ego was actually so big that they wanted to keep it forever like the Creator. In the end, it is the one that sacrifices itself and brings itself closer to the Creator and becomes adhered to the Creator and goes with Him and does not let go of Him but goes with Him and this is the correction of the world which we need to manage. Here we need to learn a few very serious things in regards to our role and also here in this world and an eternal role. Everything is what we are going to learn now, so what does it mean that Pharaoh drew closer.

Reading Excerpt #67 Zohar For All (03:12) “Pharaoh brought Closer...”

2. R. (04:29) This means that by them seeing Pharaoh the ego was so big that they had no chance to get out of it to that extent that they wanted to escape and they were not capable, Pharaoh has many forces and they have nothing, those who wanted to exit from under the control of the Pharaoh from Egypt. It turns out that besides the outcry, they have nothing else to do and this is where Pharaoh is showing them how strong he is and how he can catch them and do whatever he wants with them. Through this, he is basically leaves them no opening, instead only to scream to the Creator, to cry out to the Creator and that is why it is Pharaoh who drew closer. Pharaoh brought the people of Israel closer to the Creator because there was nowhere else to run to. We need to understand that our development has to lead us to a state where we have nowhere to run to, and then we turn to that one single force we see that only it controls all of reality and we ask help from Him and then He, on his behalf is doing all the things so that we can come to such a state which we will cry out for help.

3. S. (06:16) He is highlighting he is brought closer not came closer and it sounds like sacrifice in a very specific context. Why does it say brought closer and not came closer?

R. Because he is causing it but he's not doing it in the clear manner, everything is kind of like behind the scenes.

S. It sounds like sacrifice opposed to being brought closer?

R. Sacrifices also by means of coming closer by a sacrifice one comes closer to the Creator.

S. Sacrifice includes death and bringing closer does not have the manner of death?

R. This is not the main thing and this is also relative, a sacrifice can be not only through death. Although when we are talking about it we are talking about the desire to receive that dies, that the person wants the desire to receive to die, and for him it is a sacrifice through which he can come closer through this action.

S. Ultimately, it is highlighting this word and not the other, this is why I'm asking?

R. I do not understand, do not philosophy here and speak clearly, I don’t understand what you are saying.

S. I simply related to this because he is choosing this word specifically and not the other word?

R. Yes and Pharaoh drew closer, he is sacrificing and he did not say he came closer.

S. Sounds like a negative action to bring closer is positive and to sacrifice is negative?

R. I do not know, I prefer for us to go through these materials and enter the spirit in them and then we will understand more what they are talking about.

4. S. (08:51) This level of fear that Israel were terrified, what is the nature of this fear is it egoistic fear? They are afraid to escape for personal reasons or is it more fear of not bringing contentment to the Creator? What is the nature of this fear?

R. Yes it speaks of them being remaining in the will to receive in order to receive because they see it as death as the will to receive which dominates them is called the dominion of Pharaoh and they must exit this, they cannot tolerate anymore the control of the ego upon themselves. Hence they, just as the people of Israel sighed from the work, here they had an outcry, and when will they cry? Until their outcry reaches Pharaoh. If so, in what way do they come to this work? Because they see that the waves are gushing in front of them they want to drown them and that they will die either from the waves or from stones that are being shot at them from behind and the weaponry of Pharaoh’s army and this is how they come to the correct outcry and then Pharaoh brought closer meaning Pharaoh actually works with them he is the Creator’s servant and does everything in order to bring Israel closer to repentance where they would want the quality of bestowal to control them.

5. S. (11:24) During this stage we are not yet raging war with Pharaoh, right?

R. No, we don’t enter into the war whatsoever we just need to scrutinize what the war is. The Creator enters the war.

S. What are we doing? Why are we running away?

R. Because we do not have the strength to deal with the Pharaoh to handle him. Pharaoh is our ego and if our ego is revealed in us with all of its might the way the Creator created it we are not capable of handling it, of dealing with it, we are not capable, and then it turns out that all-in- all we only want the Creator to battle with him, correct him, and take him, and we do not because we do not have any forces for correction.

6. S. (12:52) Pharaoh relative to us, relative to the group and the ten, he hasn't always been our enemy. When we first came down to Egypt and we are seemingly the good side then we change our attitude towards him. How to define him correctly in the work?

R. To find the Pharaoh correctly in our work is to see him as the force of the Creator which works exactly as it should to guide us to the final correction. We cannot move on one foot only on two feet that are opposite one another, therefore we need Pharaoh as well.

S. We simply advance each time toward our connection, even now in the lesson I try to think about the friends and somehow aim in that direction. Do I need in each and every moment except for what I am doing to find the Pharaoh, to find what is preventing the connection, or I'm simply aiming at the correction and that's it?

R. You aim yourself towards the connection but with that you also feel the force of resistance against the connection. That force is called Pharaoh but in such a way that force helps you, it shows you where more you can be corrected and increase the force of connection.

7. S. (15:02) What is the difference between the two fears? One is pushing us from behind, the Pharaoh’s army and his arrows and the fear from the waves ahead of us. What’s the difference?

R. That we’re yet to learn, all the different kinds of fear, kinds of disturbances, that’s later. According to medicine, according to psychology, we have somewhere around 900 different forms of fear, different fears, so it is not so important. We will learn that or at least something of it.

8. S. (16:12) Can we say that the weapons in the hands of the Pharaoh are the pleasures for the desire to receive?

R. No, I am asking you to learn what we are reading, you do not need more than that, you already start to disperse in all kinds of directions that will just take us to the incorrect understanding and confusion.

9. S. (17:04) At the beginning of the lesson, I heard that we should not let go of the Creator. How to do that?

R. When we constantly leave the intention in us that there is a single force governing everything. That there is None Else Besides Him.

S. We try but we, ourselves, cannot do this?

R. We try by holding on to this thought and by asking the Creator to not confuse us, to give us a clearer feeling that He is there and that He is the only one governs reality.

S. Through the connection and with the friends as Rav said to integrate and incorporate?

R. Yes, it is integration and incorporation.

Excerpt # 68. (18:22) “The serpent bows its head...” Twice.

10. S. (20:43) Each time it is not clear enough from that excerpt, how to overcome ourselves to yearn for connection so that the Pharaoh will not take it away from you because we always begin to think well done and how I accomplished everything. How to do this so that the Pharaoh will not take all the results of the work for himself?

R. We need to be in connection with the friends and they are going to help you. Anyway such thoughts will come to you only that the friends will be able to come and help in that connected desire to connect. They can nullify and cancel your egoistic desire that the Creator awakens in you on purpose. They will all think that you are connecting and that you are going to work on the general connection in the group and therefore you will place yourselves against the disturbances that the Creator is bringing you, the disturbances called Pharaoh.

S. What are those parts in the work, he starts from the head and strikes with the tail, what are those parts?

R. We are going to learn that later and not all at once, it is the beginning and the end of the work, each time starts with the head and complete end with the tail.

S. You say that it is on every degree on the work?

R. Yes, it needs to be on every degree and you will see it and it will all be revealed.

11. S. (22:56) I am not entirely clear how we can come to fear if his intention is different?

R. For the time being, it is not written about it here, so please do not jump because a person is making efforts and that gradually the result of that the force of faith comes to him.

12. S. (23:43) What is the main force that is missing in the ten in order to have Pharaoh to bring the true cry to the Creator?

R. This is where the ten to begin with, actually wants to come to that and begins to work. Participates in the lessons and the gatherings as Rabash writes in all the things. As a result of that, they come to a state in which they start to see the corruption along the way. Through the corrections on those corruption's they advance. On the path we can correct only by discovering the corruptions and we correct them.

13. S. (24:52) The work of the snake that is the head is on the same level as a plea to the upper one, only on his own level. Because every time he aims in order to bestow it becomes in order to receive, is this correct?

R. Yes.

14. S. (25:29) The Klipa knows that there is no way to receive abundance only through holiness, how do you sanctify each action?

R. How to sanctify by overcoming through the connection between us. First of all why do we do all of this, why is it done. It is done in order to push us towards connection, so we need to try and connect and to find in our connection forces with which we can each time to make a step forward, this is our work.

S. Each time we come to the ten it is a step from where we begin and act in holiness?

R. Yes, of course.

15. S. (26:40) What helps the person to go from identifying with the Pharaoh to justify the Creator and condemning himself sentencing himself, because I see that the person has the forces inside to identify this problem to do it. What helps a person justify the Creator and feel that he is the wicked one?

R. To begin with a person hears, reads and learns that connection is a necessary thing, that whoever is drawn to connection is called righteous. The one who is bothering the connection is called wicked, so a person's entire problem is from those definitions and to define them in practice in his life everyday. This is what he does through the society and study.

S. We help each other through examples because it is a very important power, because if I come directly to a friend and point to a problem then typically it is only pushing the friend away because there is no preparation for it. On the other hand an example that we give is not in equivalence of form with the ten sometimes. Meaning if a person gives an example he can receive pride and somehow move away from the ten. How to give an example but not remain in the ten and advance it and not according to yourself?

R. This is all our work in which we want to connect everybody to the ten and to come closer to each other because no one can make one step forward without help without support without the others and that is our correction our path.

S. Maybe I don’t understand the question from the other side. Based on the first question, how can a person take upon himself the good example when he himself feels like it is hard for him to do it, he identifies with his Pharaoh with the will to receive. How can he get an example correctly, he after all rejects all the examples?

R. I still don't really understand, a person here needs to work in order to bestow, yet he has very strong records of this because he has a point in the heart. He comes to the Wisdom of Kabbalah and is incorporated in the group which is all actually agreeing to the fact that we need to come to mutual bestowal, mutual connection and by that we equalize and come closer to the Creator.

S. We need to compress into each other as it happens in the ten, we begin to be influenced by and feel pressure from each other. This pressure, if we have no preparation in ourselves, only pushes us apart and won't let us connect. We are not able to rise above this pressure to something good, it is still pushing us outside?

R. It could be maybe in the beginning, but nevertheless it ends and a person understands that. Without the influence of the society he cannot advance, so he has nowhere else to run to.

16. S. (31:27) I would like to ask her two things. The Klipa is highly intelligent so I'm saying to myself that I cannot get into arguments with her and I keep going. If this happens are you right or do I go faith above reason?

R. Yes.

S. The other thing is that all the states in the group are like preparation, like cement, so the states states and when we build something with cement we want the water to evaporate but without the water we can’t create the cement. Can I hold onto this perception that the Creator is the one who takes out the water but the states, the good and the bad, are simply a place for this salad, for this cement?

R. Let it be like that for the time being.

17. S. (32:35) What kind of influence does the person have in Egypt if the Klipa steals everything from him?

R. Do you think that the Klipa is against us, Pharaoh is against us, all these forces that are influencing the tens and hundreds and thousands that they are against us, but they are not against us, so that we would find the true reality of ours in the center of creation. For us to be able to observe all the forces that are in the system of creation in us and everything as it is written, The Creator created everything for our sake, meaning for the good and connection and for the final correction. This is why we say that this is not, and I hate, this I don't want, that is only for the time being. The time will come when the worse and most harmful forces will awaken and we nevertheless invert them.

S. We are saying that we will learn how to use the Klipa, the shell?

R. Of course, what does it mean to receive in order to bestow, that I am using the force of reception which to begin with is a Klipa which I was prohibited to use. Now because I acquired the level of mercy then I can also use that will to receive that was in order to receive but now it is corrected in order to bestow.

18. S. (34:42) How can we prevent the snake from taking advantage of our spiritual path, should we imagine we are in adhesion with the Creator above what the snake is doing?

R. Try to do all kinds of circles just like the serpent and you will see by what you are advancing, what questions, what difficulties you are solving by this attitude or another. The main thing is not to sit idle.

19. S. (36:00) Is there a choice when the snake is trying to overcome me and disagrees with it? Is it the only choice in the environment and praying to the Creator and this is our path? Where is this place where I disagree with the ego overtaking me and I fight with the ego overtaking me, where is it?

R. Where is this? It is inside of a person.

S. He can detect he is falling into the ego, he's falling into the ego and he doesn't want to agree with it. We know that the path that we choose is the environment and the lessons and you, and the sources and everything. Where is that place where he let Pharaoh take over or not? Does he have a choice because he said Pharaoh controls a person completely, but you have a path of choice, a prayer to the Creator. Where is he making that switch, when I'm saying that I'm praying to the Creator, and I don't know if I explained myself well.

R. The problem is that you have a lot of words to say and that is even worse that way.

20. S. (37:27) When we get to the degree of reception for ourselves it feels like that I want to stay there and I want to hold onto this and I know I want to get out and I want to stay there and hold on, what can I do to get out?

R. Adhere to the friends and there search for a solution in the connection with them, this is what I recommend. Also to the previous lady who was asking again from the center. If you do not know what to do, if you do not know what the answer is, adhere to the center of the ten and there you will find the answer or at least for sure you will make a step forward correctly.

21. S. (38:41) Still not clear, how can a person use the Klipa, let's say that there is a rejection from connection, how can the person use this in order to connect?

R. Yes, there is rejection from connection and a person does not know what to do. Prayer, pray with the friends.

S. Instead he's using his Klipa to turn to the Creator for help?

R. He uses the rejection from connection but goes to the friends and therefore we are made of body and soul and therefore, he needs to move to the friends to adhere together with them as much as possible and to pray together with them that the Creator would raise them above the disturbances they are feeling.

S. And there this is using the Klipa?

R. I don't think it is worthwhile to say so, but even if you were to use the Klipa, it would help him; so why not. Before we eat the fruit, we have to peel the shell first.

S. Does it mean that a person comes to connection with the friends and he's peeling himself, peeling off layers from himself?

R. The fact that I am coming with the friends and I'm willing to remove from myself all the egoistic desires towards them, this is called that I am peeling myself relative to them.

Reading Excerpt #69 (40:49) “This Is The Meaning of Pharaoh Bringing...”

22. R. (41:47) This means that the Pharaoh is working in such a way as if he was the worst that exists in reality. But by him playing such a role, he brings the person closer to the Creator. Hence we have help against him, which is either called the evil inclination or Pharaoh. As it is written, and Pharaoh brought forth closer.

23. S. (42:28) Does it speak about the Pharaoh as the will for spirituality in order to receive?

R. Yes, of course. Pharaoh wants to receive, in order to receive, the revelation of the Creator to him.

S. He is the one who is pushing us to Him?

R. In another way, yes. He also helps us come to the Creator.

S. The desire to swallow everything, to know everything?

R. Yes, in the end we come to the revelation of the Creator. Let's continue.

Reading Excerpt #70 Baal HaSulam (43:24) "If one extends some illumination…"

24. R. (44:55) This means that at first, the Sitra Achra does not let the person come closer to holiness. Whereas later, when he does come closer to Kedusha (sanctity), the Sitra Achra swallows all the achievements of the person. And all the exertions of the person, until the person does not come to the complete measure. And when he comes to the complete measure, then the Sitra Achra gives him back everything that she kept with her, in her from all the achievements of the person. Meaning it is a help against him, look at what she does. In the extent that which she can do. And hear this also to understand that if not for the Sitra Achra, who would protect for us what we here and there used to benefit in order to bestow? Who would protect that? It is all the Sitra Achra that tells us this. We are not allowed to say about creation that there is something redundant in it, that there is some disturbance. Rather, just learn how to use every force correctly.

25. S. (46:45) We read this excerpt yesterday in the ten, and we started discussing what is the difference between the Sitra Achra and the Pharaoh and we could not come to a conclusion. Are they two parts of the same thing? Are they parts from two different elements?

R. No, we have the ego and this ego is connected. It is divided into many smaller parts and we correct it gradually from in order to receive to in order to bestow. And this is with the intention from in order to receive to in order to bestow. This is what we do.

S. So how is the Pharaoh different than the Sitra Achra?

R. It's not different. Simply the Pharaoh is the general definition, a general force, the center. And the Sitra Achra in general has many individual forces which are revealed and expressed in this way and they operate upon the desire to receive, meaning against the Creator.

26. S. (48:18) So that state that is behind us, the Pharaoh, before us the stormy sea, that is the same state, that the full measure was reached and the Sitra Achra is willing to return everything he took?

R. Yes, and in essence this is the most critical point called the song on the sea when they began to pray to the Creator and to cry out. This is the song of the sea where they praised the Creator thank you for saving us, etc.

27. S. (49:25) We have a question, full measure of the efforts in the ten. What does it mean? Do we feel it together or each feel it separately?

R. The complete measure of exertion in the 10 is the final action before the final correction. If that's what you want.

S. No translation.

R. Everybody together, each action in the 10, if it is not together, it is not an action. It is 0. Meaning it is not 0 of course because that also can bring us to disappointment and the recognition of what we need to do.

28. S. (50:28) You are speaking about the Klipa and the Pharaoh with such admiration. And the Pharaoh is ruling over the person experiences the feelings of fear and shame for this authority. You said that we need to use correctly the power of the Klipa. How to do this correctly?

R. In parallel, when we are using the Good and the qualities in us, that is how we also need to prolong the out of bad and part of good and see how they help us.

S. The fact that Pharaoh takes over the person constantly, how does it help the person?

R. Because our ego is still strong and it is always overcoming us.

S. Meaning forget to feel rejection from it?

R. Yes, exactly it is growing hatred and rejection in us until we start crying out and demanding for this Creator to be replaced for us or we simply run away from Him.

S. When he bows his head, the snake, how can you hold the hands of the friends and not fall under the authority of Pharaoh?

R. How to do this? From your feelings. Otherwise, you will not be able to go on.

29. S. (52:38) What does it mean to know how to properly control the forces of the Sitra Achra (the other side)?

R. To control the forces of fear is when the person is afraid, the question is, what is he afraid of? Our ego is always afraid of something. What does it mean so the thing that should be the highest needs to be the question. The question of whether I am really one that brings pleasure to the Creator or not in my existence. A person needs to constantly aspire to answer that question.

30. S. (53:44) Tell us please, on whom does it depend the speed with which to measure is filled the Creator, or the person?

R. The measure of effort.

S. Yes, it depends on the person?

R. Yes, it depends on the person.

31. S. (54:23) What is the difference between grabbing the snake by the tail and grabbing it by the head?

R. We are going to learn that. You do not need to jump.

32. S. (54:45) Where do we get the quality that draws the light?

R. Our ego draws the light because they are opposite and contradicting.

S. What is the difference between lights because the ego or the Sitra Achra also take everything?

R. It’s taking everything it is not important, it is first drawing it and then suppress it and giving it back.

S. Who is it done by, the ego?

R. Yes.

S. What is the true light that we should draw?

R. The light that we receive in the desires to bestow in us, in our intention to bestow and Ohr Hozer or reflected light.

S. This is something different that I still cannot feel?

R. Yes this is in the quality of bestowal that is coming out of us.

S. What is the meaning of pulling the light in my ego?

R. That you will receive in order to bestow and by that you will be similar to the Creator.

S. How does it happen? Does it depend on the frequency and quality of a certain action?

R. It depends on the frequency of the intention.

33. S. (56:33) You spoke about control. The question is, what kind of control do we need to have in our hands? The Creator controls everything, what can we control?

R. We can control our appeal, our address, to the Creator and our attitude to the friends. According to the same verse from 'the love of the created beings to the love of the Creator’. Meaning, what we can do is to bestow the friends in the Ten and with them together to the Creator. Altogether, this is the path that we can bestow with, and showing ourselves to activate, to hold on to, only in such a way. From me to the friends, and with the friends together to the Creator.

34. S. (57:50) I wish everyone fruitful work. You initially said that he is waging war with the Creator? Does the war end when the Creator answers Pharaohs questions?

R. Not necessarily so. But he knows what to do with Pharaoh. Therefore it is written, “Come onto Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart.”

Excerpt #71 (58:45:) “All that the Sitra Achra received..”

35. R. (01:00:37) It means the Sitra Achra is working like a storage where it receives each time from us some achievements of ours, small spiritual achievements and she holds onto them with her. That is called "in the sea of the Sitra Achra", and eventually when we complete the corrections she gives everything back to us and says take this to Ten. We receive all the vessels with all the lights and we do come to the end of correction. Meaning look at what the other side is built in a way and that without it you cannot reach the final correction. Until the final correction it actually grows all the time and we inflate it by constantly receiving in order to bestow. This remains in the vessels of reception in the Sitra Achra". We will learn this thing. It's very interesting and very confusing, it confuses many people, it is this way that we will eventually be able to take from Him. This can be done into parts and pieces and then we can receive it all together at once.

36. S. (01:02:24) When the light fills the vessel it leaves an impression and then the light departs and leaves an empty space. Is it through this motion of filling an emptiness of the vessel that we are able to build a deficiency?

R. Correct everything happens in the vessel. The vessel is emptied, the vessel is filled we feel the emptied place, we feel the parts that come closer and this is how we go slowly slowly slowly advancing towards corrections to fillings.

37. S. (01:03:18) All our senses have a filter on top of them, the filter of the ego. I feel like everything I see includes the ego. Do we have a point for which I can look at things outside of the ego?

R. You can't look outside of the ego, you don't have vessels of bestowal for the time being.

S. How do we grow a place that is outside the ego?

R. That's when you yearn to work with the friends, with the friends. Where you're drawn to connect study to work and to perform certain actions so all these things already have something a bestowal, of connection above the ego and with that you are already beginning to raise the vessels of holiness, a very small measure at this point but it nevertheless happens.

S. We work with the friends, we do what we can in our time, I am sure we can do more, but is there a way to increase it so it won't take so long?

R. Try to love the friends more.

S. Love what in them?

R. What does it mean to love them? Do I need to explain that to you?

S.What do I need to love in them exactly?

R. I don't have what to say, you have children, you love them?

S. Clear, of course.

R. Of course it should be clear like that towards the friends.

S. It's a problem. I wish it was not a problem. I wish I could feel belonging and responsibility towards them.

R. With friends, talk about them, and pray to the Creator. This is how you will invest forces in this and you will receive the force of love of connection, and then in the force of connection, you will start to feel you will start to feel the Creator, in a limited manner or more great more true way as much as you will have a desire for the closest of the friends and that you will also have the desire for the Creator altruistically not egotistically, try.

38. S. (01:06:43) All the states we go through, the congresses and holidays, there are these state where we aid our the entire concept of the full measure of exertion has to be filled is not really clear.

R. You want a concept that will be clarified later.

S. No, I want to understand what is the full measure of exertion? We learn that exertion is the reward we have to exert all the time and you have to go on small bits and you have to look everywhere to exert what we need exactly.

R. The desire to receive to bestow to the Creator has to be filled.

S. I didn't understand.

R. That you have the desire to receive and you want to invert it in order to bestow it to the Creator where it is filled to the extent in which you can feel the Creator.

S. We exert for that and those vessels and for the need for the help for the Creator and so on and so forth. What should we fill and then we stop? I don't understand how we suddenly receive this deposit from the Sitra Achra. What does it mean?

R. You had the desire inside the desire to receive some sort of filling and you're growing and in that desire according to the plan of creation began to change, it wants to receive more and it is not given to do so. Then he explains that beyond that you can only receive in those vessels and in order to bestow. We need to turn this into the intention in order to bestow the  desire. and this is what we engage in. Therefore our wisdom is called the wisdom of reception, Kabbalah.

S. It's obligated to exert and for the exertion to grow more to the end of correction.

R. The desire to receive grows.

S. The exertion only grows and intensifies.

R. Yes.

S. What exactly has to be filled?

R. The desire to receive, when you want to fill in place of yourself the Creator or friends it needs to be filled.  There is a border with you of the extent in which you can receive yourself. Let's say the bottle with the pacifier, now you're being told that's it now you want to receive more and you will receive under the condition that you pass this on to the friends and that's where you receive from together and you want to fill them not just from someone taking from you with force, so you need to correct yourself and to come to a state in which you give them and receive together with them in one vessel, in such a way you are given to fill your new vessel your common vessel.

S.The point of inversion is when the measure of the individual lens and becomes the collective labor?

R. Yes.

39. S. (01:10:42) You told someone you control the plea to the Creator, what does this mean?

R. It means it depends on us to turn to the Creator or not.

S. Is it up to us to turn to the Creator or not?

R. Yes, that depends on us.

S. We spoke about the ego, the go within and the ego.  How can you hate the ego from within the ego? How is it possible?

R. There was that example where there's a clash between the desires. We need to choose what's more important.

40. S. (01:11:46) All the states we go through, congresses and the holidays, there's always these states where we aid ourselves to the force of Rav in order to advance and continue forward. How can we become independent and use this force correctly? Even when we do a scrutiny between us in the ten, in order to be convinced that the state, that everything was corrected and we suddenly hear that the states we are going through correction in the coming lessons. In the morning we sit down and realize that yes, we have gone through the state and there's a scrutiny with the Rav in the lesson. How do we understand we go through the correction but we still aid ourselves with your power of faith. What is the power of faith in the ten that will let us know that we've been through that state and continue forward in the correction?

R. It's actually not very simple to explain this to tell you the truth, but the faith of his teacher we need to learn just as we read more than once. What the faith of his teacher is, what is the measure we do this by? It's a special force that the Creator gives if we try to be adhered through friends, and after that the Creator. It is all from the love of the created beings to the love of the Creator, from the individual from the general to the individuals so we cannot talk about the group yet about our general, that’s another degree.

41. S. (01:14:36) You said that there is the small vessel that we fill and now we have two meals and there's a friend who says that he doesn't feel that at the meal that there's this inner force there, that Passover will have 24 meals and he doesn't feel the force of the meal. How can we work with this state?

R. I cannot help you, you explain it to him. There’s a place in where it's written about the meals and how important they are. As much as it's worth for a person to be with friends; I have nothing to say about it. I'm limited in this, this is something that the friends have to explain between them.

S. We as the world Kli, can we take the meal and turn it into the state that we talked about?

R. Whichever way you understood but yes, try it.

42. S. (01:16:01) If the person cannot hold the illumination in his vessels, what are the signs that he can point to that he does have an illumination?

R. A person gets an illumination as surrounding light. If he prepared his vessel for inner light so he can get a partial part of the surrounding light as internal light and that remains, then he can work with the vessel and also with the light and that's it. That's how it works.

43. S. (01:16:56) The conscious awareness that we work for an integrated system does that come when we pray for the friends? Is that our food, our nutrition?

R. I don't understand?

S. The conscious awareness or attainment that we work for in an integrated system, do we attain that through prayer for the friends, when we pray for the friends?

R. Yes of course, otherwise what integral system could be revealed, for sure.

44. S. (01:17:53) When we in the ten try to connect and we feel the deficiency of the quality of bestowal we reveal another measure of the vessel and then we can turn to the Creator to correct that Pharaoh, that vessel. And then we see we're happy that we connected and we are this one whole and then we can receive from that, from this pleasure and the vessel, we feel that we don't have the quality of bestowal and we're separated and that's called that Pharaoh took what we worked for?

R. Yes, you are right.

45. S. (01:18:50) Let's say I don't see anything good, in the beginning it comes it becomes expressed as  complaints towards myself, towards the Creator, towards the world and then I see that it's all snakes, it's a big snake pit and you can't escape from it and wherever you close your eyes you still have those same snakes everywhere. And you realize that you cannot come to the Creator with such filth, and you say with this filth we can't come with this quality to the Creator and so what do I want to ask: is it necessary to go through all these states in order to understand that we need to pray to the Creator for those corrections, why is it not possible to do that directly?

R. Because then you will not see it as something of your own.

S. What if I look at my friends, I don't want them to go through these tough states but I want them always to be in contact with the Creator?

R. Take it upon yourself, pray instead of them, work for them and do everything for them instead, and whatever they will have to do is incorporate in you, the corrected you.

S. How does that work?

R. My dear you have to learn how to do it.

46. S. (01:20:45) I heard you say in relation to Pharaoh that it is a help against the Creator if we use it for the sake of bestowal, we see that mainly in dissemination but how can I use my ego for the sake of bestowal?

R. I don't see such an instrument that can grab Pharaoh and then we'll use him whichever way we want. First of all we need the ten, gather in the ten and then we will talk about it.

47. S. (01:21:43) How can we be certain that all the friends will see the true point of connection?

R. You have to make efforts.

48. S. (01:22:06) In the excerpt we just read this idea of the deposit and the corrections: where is this cry and what should we direct ourselves to in order to reach this cry?

R. I didn't understand you.

S. In all of this process of deposit and corrections that it's written in the excerpt 72 he says we need to reach a cry. How can we aim ourselves correctly in order to reach the precise cry that we need to reach?

R. The precise cry is that we want to reach connection between us and through that connect to the Creator, that is where we feel the cry, ‘ And then the sons of Israel sighed from the work.’

Reading Excerpt #72. (01:23:35) “Since the Sitra Achra provides..”

Reading Excerpt #73. (01:25:56) “Parable that said about two friends..”

49. S. (01:27:36) What does he mean that after the 49th gate the Creator will give us our money?

R. There is no more than the 50th gate so if we went through 49 gates, that's it, we have reached the complete correction.

S. It's not so clear for me why he uses the strong language like we have to lose something and then overcome all of it. It's not clear for me.

R. What can I say, our whole path is to receive a bit and lose it, receive some more and lose it. And by that it's not that it's important for us to receive or lose but by this process, we get the correct attitude towards receiving and bestowing. That's why even if I receive a whole world for me it has to be no more important than receiving some bit like a penny, but I get it from the Creator and that whole entire world if I get not from the Creator, so it doesn't awaken any feeling of reception in me. There's a lot of things that we still have to learn about our nature, human nature because that's what the wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us, as much as we can be receivers and bestowers in the correct way, according not to the nature of the Creator created in us but to higher values.

50. S. (01:30:25) How in the ten do we establish and how can we help the friends to establish that with efforts for the ten, for the environment with the intensity we put in, it will influence us so we can feel the Creator?

R. That is something we will learn in the next topic, the one who held Pharaoh's heart, that the Creator on purpose is holding our ego and that it will not be weak but strong and the stronger it is in order for us to reach a state that we are in front of a wall and there's no one to talk to and no one to turn to what can you do, and here we break, that's why it's already going to be in the next lesson: he who hardened his heart, Pharaoh.
