1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:13) Yes, we continue with the same topic 'Exile from Egypt' and we are advancing, we are moving ahead. I hope that until this holiday, the week of Passover and what we will have following it, we will go according to the stages of the vessel that is developing and correcting itself until we reach the great corrections that we will feel them inside of us, in the connection between us. No one feels within himself the stages of advancement in Coming closer to the Creator but only between a man and his friend. Pay attention to that and don't forget it and develop that place. That place between one and the other is called the 'field that the Lord has blessed', that it could be that all in all there is only grass there, are some weed nothing else besides that and maybe great fruit will grow their that everyone can enjoy, it all depends how much we establish the right relation between us. So in the meantime let's continue please.
Reading Excerpt #28. (01:54 ) “It is impossible to emerge from exile..”
2. R. (02:50) Meaning in each and every state we should think only how to rise from it since nevertheless it is called exile when we are outside in order to bestow the connection between us. and with the Creator and each and every moment we have to depict ourselves that we are coming out of Egypt at this moment. Coming out of the disconnection between us. This is how we get closer another step and another step and another step through these stages to the complete redemption.
Reading Excerpt #29. (03:45 ) “It is written, remember that you were a slave in Egypt..”
3. R. (04:45) That is we should first depict to ourselves the states that we are in that is called exile. Exile meaning outside of the desire to bestow of the connection with others of adhesion with the Creator, of the feeling of the true reality, eternity, wholeness that we don't have all of these things inside of us but only the feeling of the beastly life is what fills us and what passifies us and silencers us and this is how we live as much as we live. That's it, and after that there is no continuation. This is why as it is written, 'you shall see your world in your life'. If you're going to attain your world, the true spiritual world, then you should attain it and you should have seen it in your life and if not then you are a beast. This is why we have to put all of our forces in order to awaken ourselves to the spiritual goal that we have to achieve it and truly see ourselves today that we are in exile from spirituality and we are drawn to redemption.
4. S. (06:29) You said that we are coming out from separation to connection. What does it mean that we are coming out of the separation?
R. That we come out of the exile to redemption. Exile is when we are far away from each other and in general we are not even connected to each other you might say, sometimes we are even in conflict, in collision with each other, in our ego, in our pride and we see that in the world how all the nations, all the countries, that's how they are in collisions between them and we need to realize that the exodus from the exile is apparently in that we start to connect to between us in heart and soul as one. Then to that extent we come out of the exile and we begin to build the connection between us and this is called, this attainment is called redemption that to the extent of the connection between us we will discover the Creator that he is hiding between us and then according to how much we will be tied to each other all the people in the world all the friends we will feel that the creator is becoming revealed and in which forms,in which degrees, in which stages. This is how we already begin to step on the degrees towards correction.
S. The group of Kabbalists, did they come out and did they discover that they were coming out of the shattering in truth and did they reveal that we were separated and we are connected?
R. The group should discover that they are in exile, that they are not connected, that they have between them truly a great gap in their perception, in their thinking, in the way that they accept reality in thinking about the future. Later on they begin more and more to get closer and to understand that it is impossible to exist in such a way. Rather they begin to feel that it is necessary, it is necessary to advance, it is simply a must. Then they begin with that inclination to also feel the concept of the Creator, the concept of the Creator is awakening between them.
S. This exit has to be by rising above corporeality because you said before that what we feel today is only the beastly life, this animal life the earthly concerns. Do we have to feel that we are rising above this level?
R. Ye, we have to rise above corporeality because it doesn't become 100-percent important for us like before, when we were still immersed in it. Rather we begin to understand that attaining our existence, our eternal and whole existence doesn't even depend on matter but rather we live like I don't know how to tell you that. but in between the stars, the planets. This is the state that we are drawn to.
5. S. (11:20) Every friend feels pain from the exile and when we gather in a congress or in Yeshivat Haverim, the joy of us being together is so great that this deficiency, this pain disappears. Instead of multiplying itself through the friends and through the gathering it disappears. How do we somehow overcome it?
R. We shouldn't be drawn to suffering and unpleasant feelings. We should be drawn to connection and whatever comes out of our connection, joy and a good feeling etc. This actually is what is required of us, what is demanded of us is to reach the end of correction. There it is all joy, happiness, eternal unlimited connection. This is how we should see ourselves. Each and every degree that we obtain in spirituality should be more and more powerful in the joy in the connection, in the good feeling. this is how it is.
6. S. (12:56) You said that if we do not exert ourselves we will remain in this basically life, when we exert during and meetings, our gatherings we feel that we are doing a good job but what are we lacking in order to start believing that's what is actually happening to us and the way things are happen to us, this will bring us straight to the goal. Meaning what's happening to us in our corporeal lives. Everything that is happening is the creator leading us but we remain sort of hypnotized by this thing. What are we lacking to understand that the creator is leading us?
R. We need to be more connected to each other and then we will have between us such a common feeling that we are going towards the revelation of the Creator. This is how it will be revealed between us, as a thought, as a desire, as a depiction that we will be able to give ourselves.
7. S. (14:25) You said we need to say that we are in exile to realize that we are in exile for salvation?
R. Yes, if we want to come out of exile we will start to feel how much there are forces, inclinations and inner qualities. They all exist inside of us inside it each and every one of us that do not allow us to come out of ourselves and get closer to others. This is actually the force of the pharaoh that he doesn't let us connect. He says go and work. It's one of you according to his desire. According to him he understands it and this is the work of Egypt. We will have to somehow put together forces in order to exit, to come out and see that we are not capable of finding these forces anywhere but only that we cry out and the children of Israel sighed from the work. This is how we will run away from Egypt from the rule of our ago, from the rule of pharaoh.
8. S. (16:16) Is the exit from Egypt like waking up and we feel joy and the connections?
R. Yes, the exodus from Egypt is already a feeling that we have away that we know what we should reach, what qualities we should acquire and how we should appear on the next degree outside of Egypt. That there is no worse state than remaining in order to receive, meaning in Egypt.
S. How do we hold onto the stage?
R. Only together, there is no other answer here, there is no other answer. The Creator helps us to the extent that we want to connect and to come out.
S. Can we pray that the friends feel, and attain this feeling?
R. Certainly we have to, it's not that we just can, it's that we have to.
9. S. (17:57) How can a person check each time that is truly in connection?
R. He tries to put together each time a greater and greater connection that is more true, more tight then he sees how much he is not yet in that and he prays that the Creator will arrange this collection for him.
S. What do you do against the ego that doesn't let you check sometimes truly that there is a true connection on an egoistic connection?
R. Prayer, we have nothing else to do but only to pray to the Creator.
10. S. (18:45) The exodus from Egypt is a state that is built with our desire to connect above all the states we live each and every moment, is it so?
R. What is the question?
S. Is the exodus from Egypt created from our desire to connect? Above each and every state that we live in now consider a state of exile?
R. Yes
S. Do we construct the state of exile above any that we experience each moment since all the current states are states of lack of connection?
R. Correct, that's right. This is how we came out of Egypt, when we went to come out of the present state and reach a state where we are more connected. We have no other milestones or landmarks, how do we take a step forward from the present state to the next date and from the next state that is even further ahead and further ahead but only according to the increasing connection between us. This is what we need, meaning if today I am with my friends in a certain specific state, in the connection between us, in our heart and soul, in our thoughts, in our agreement, in all kinds of things that I plan for the next step, for tomorrow. What state should it already be? How much can I be connected to them on the next step and a step further and a step further because the end of correction is when we connect in heart and soul completely, absolutely, so that nothing remains in us that is distancing us even one millimeter one from the other.
11. S. (21:18) In what way does our environment influence, in myTen our perception of reality?
R. The fact that my Ten is internally coming closer to each other by that we also influence all of the other Tens because we exist in a single system, in a single motor that is working with all of its parts and then for sure even if one Ten becomes more solidified, more together than this Ten operates on all of the other Tens on the entire structure of Adam Ha Rishon, although it is broken more and more towards connection, solidifying.
12. S. (22:45) What does it mean that the holy Torah is eternal and is used in each and every generation?
R. Because the Torah is the general law of the world and this law operates on the whole of reality as it is written, He gave the law and it cannot be breached. We have to reach knowing this law from the opposite state and in that way to join it and become incorporated in it and from that when we learned it from something and its opposite, meaning we can truly say that we are the unique elements the unique created beings because we know creation from one end to the other end.
S. Do we feel the exile today more than other previous generations?
R. Yes, certainly the more we advance, our attainment is greater.
13. S. (24:19) That state where we come to pray, how can the friends influence me and how can I influence the friends so together at that point we will be able to cry out to the Creator and come out of Egypt?
R. I don't understand
S. How can the friends awaken me so that I will be able to influence them so all of us together will be able to come out of Egypt?
R. Mainly through the example that they give you, through an example.
14. S. (25:14) In excerpt 29 the slave says, 'I love my master'. when we perform a certain sin, is this the meaning of a sin I love my master?
R. In each and everything that we carry out until we leave Egypt until we leave our ego, we love our ego and we carry out all of its commands. This is what it means by the slaves saying I love my master and I am willing to do everything.
15. S. (26:06) I would like to be more precise. You describe the process for planning the next state in the connection with the Ten. How to do it correctly, you said that it is possible to plan at the next degree?
R. I no longer remember what I talked about and what it was related to but the fact that I plan my next step is based on where I am now, towards greater incorporation,I plan my future state.
S. I work in the Ten is truly following a certain routine and certain schedule. We have a certain number of zoom meetings. We are not thinking that tomorrow we will reach another degree and we will be even more connected. Rather, we simply advanced according to our routine. These processes can we somehow plan our next degree in our development?
R. When a child is born we just make sure to give it food and drink, wash it, put it to sleep and it is all according to the clock, as much as possible. Then it grows and the more it grows we fill up its life with all kinds of other things that are not so much related to time but rather more and more internal filling. It's the same with us, so for the time being you are out in such initial states.
16. S. (28:24) In the last line in item 29 it says that the Kli,the vessel that can receive the light, is the suffering that we suffer. That is the vessel that can receive the light if I understand correctly that now we are learning how to receive everything that comes to us as the left side and the right side of the Creator and to rise above everything and to be enjoyed?
R. No, it's not all so smooth and all left and right we have to learn these things.
17. S. (29:21) Sometimes the Creator gives the person a feeling of closeness to a friend. You feel him in your heart to such an extent, you say well how can it be? Then he takes it away and you try and you fail. This feeling and the pain is this exile?
R. I can't say if this is exile or not. Exile altogether is disconnection from the Creator and the means for it is coming closer between the friends and so according to that you should decide where you are.
S. But the person goes through many disconnections throughout the day. What separates various disconnections from the actual feeling of exile?
R. The feeling of the person does he feel that is truly in exile, that he was thrown away from spirituality, that he has nothing that pertains to connection and love and spirituality, in short.
S. When a person doesn't feel himself that he is in spirituality this quality of bestowal so how can I make a distinction?
R. He should depict himself. What does it mean to be together with the friends, to be close to them, connected with them as one man in one heart he should depict it to himself.
Reading Excerpt #30. (31:02) “The Klipa of Egypt, is a general Klipa..” twice.
18. S. (32:44) How will we reach this stage of salvation from this exile together?
R. We now depict ourselves as searching where we are?. Clearly, we are not in redemption. I'll be in exile. Let's measure it, let's check what state we are in? Exile or redemption is the difference between disconnection between us and connection between us. That in the disconnection between us we don't feel the spiritual world and the Creator, He is then concealed and hidden in the connection between us. We feel ourselves as connected together as one man in one heart in a single desire and the Creator is then revealed inside our desire. This is called redemption. Then the Creator shines in our vessel, in our collective heart and this is considered that the light of endless is revealed in the vessel of all of the souls. This is what we have to reach, meaning everything exists inside of us and everything depends on the degree of connection between us. Let's hope that we will reach that and we are learning together by what means we can bring closer our emotions, our hearts so that we will feel all of our emotions in a single emotion, in single heart and then we will feel each one of us, instead of the individual feeling of the Creator, we will reach a general collective feeling of the Creator. This will be called complete redemption that we are all connected between us and also with the Creator. This is how it is.
19. S. (35:37) Are we under the rule of Egypt or are we in exile?
R. The exile.we have many degrees from the smallest degree where we don't even recognize that we are in exile but rather that simply like little children in our world that are unaware of where they are but rather they just engage with themselves. Up to a state where they begin to grow and get to know where they are and by what they can benefit their situation and get closer between them and build something. This is how they enter the world and they want to improve it, to change it. It is the same for us in the spiritual attainment that we, according to the recommendation of the Kabbalists, begin to get closer between us and to discover between us new states, new degrees. According to that, we feel that there is some special force there that is uniting us that we have to discover it, to find it. In that way we advance until we all reach a connection and this hidden force becomes revealed fully in us. This is called redemption instead of exile because we have discovered the Creator in the connection between us.
20. S. (37:57) Do we bring our desire for connection or we don't know what is connection but we wish to connect and we asked him to connect to us in the desire?
R. Yes, we gradually bring forth our desire for connection. We discover in this desire that any other way would be. There is no way out and we have to connect between us in order to find the upper force, who is managing us.
S. The question comes because sometimes we seemingly build a connection between us and present it to him but it sounds like we have to build a deficiency, a desire for connection between us and then present that deficiency?
R. We need to feel this deficiency. Yes, we are usually going left and right, left and right. From the left we develop the deficiency, a desire and on the right a little bit of attainment relative to this desire this is how we advance on both legs.
21. S. (39:29) Each one has his own unique way to feel the connection. Some feel it's physically and some are virtually. What's required of me to say that today I have pushed the friends from the bottom of my heart?
R. It seems to us that each one has a different way but it is actually one for everyone. We have to reach a state where we will prove to ourselves that only in the connection between us, we discover we feel we increase the spiritual world, our eternal life. We rise from the degree of the beast that lives for so many years and then it dies and rots to the degree of Adam, human when we discover our soul which is eternal and in it we begin to feel the whole of reality.
S. Where do we feel the pain from the exile?
R. The pain from the exile is felt in our will to receive because we were born with a point in the heart which is the beginning of our spiritual vessel. In it we feel that we are in exile, that the vessel is empty, that what should come and fill it is outside of it, this is called exile.
22. S. (41:44) The fact that they are crying. What is this cry? Are they crying because they are missing a pleasure in the connection or they feel that they cannot connect?
R. We first of all cry because we cannot achieve something, it is far away from in order to bestow and then we begin more and more to detect ourselves, how much we are demanding in a corporeal, egoistic manner and we gradually replace our egoistic desire with in order to bestow and then again it comes to us by working between the friends. This is why we bestow to each other, if to begin with we were not built in such a way that we were connected, we wouldn't ever feel that we need it, for them that we have to connect each other and in general, our whole goal is from one end to the other.
We can only feel it in the connection between us which becomes revealed more and more which is why the Creator arranged it for us to begin with, in a form that we were whole and connected and then he broke this connection and so then we attain the deficiency in the connection between us and we are drawn to correct it. The Creator is truly carrying us to the end of correction, bit by bit, through all of the 6,000 degrees, otherwise we wouldn't be able to come close to it because we don't feel in that any success, any benefit in our egoistic vessels.
S. They come to a feeling that even if they don't want the connection it is still necessary for them?
R. No, but each time in each and every state we reach a decision that unfortunately I can advance only through connection. I don't want it but I discover that there is no choice. This is how I come back to the right track. I start from the left side and then I reach the right side and from that to the middle line.
23. S. (45:25) Talking about this walking on the ladder towards redemption, starting right, left right, left, right, left, so we are going up the ladder and you describe just now that we have many degrees and this has to do with those four phases: can you say that every step has four phases or does the ladder, how is this ladder built?
R. We will learn that along the way, ourselves, that we have to work on the 620 or 613 actions and operations and rise over all the different four parts, still, vegetative and speaking until we reach complete adhesion with the Creator; we will get there soon.
S. But these four phases that you talked about yesterday on the ladder, so what are these four phases, can you explain that?
R. Well, certainly as we rise on the ladder each time, we rise from degree to degree, on the left leg and the right leg, left leg, right leg. We discover the deficiency and the lack, we perform actions in order to overcome the lack and then we rise above this lack and in that way we build a Partzuf and we have coarseness, restriction, screen and reflected light, and in this way we rise to the next degree and these are our ascents, we will soon start to do this practically.
24. S. (47:43) In the talks between us we talked about Passover and the friends are describing the exile in the feeling and the difficulty to come out of it and it touches the heart.
R. [Missing translation…] And this is our work. We are truly in the beginning of the way, we haven't yet entered it and we're not yet learning about Egypt and all of our corrections, our in memory of the exodus from Egypt; everything is still ahead of us.
S. I also wanted to ask about prayer from the connection, a prayer by the friend. When we hear a prayer from a friend who expresses something that touches the heart: what can a prayer for the friend do?
R. You have to make him stronger both by talking to him and also through an inner prayer, each one of us together and all of us together.
S. What does a true prayer look like to help a friend?
R. Simply to connect in one heart and from it to turn to the Creator, try to do that, it is very beneficial, even if it's seemingly acting or playing, later on it will be felt more, it will become more serious until you truly feel that you have a single vessel, as single heart and you will turn to a single Creator.
25. S. (50:10) What request should we focus on as a ten, so that the Creator will help us out of exile as all friends?
R. That we first, of all must be together, as it is written, ‘from the love of people, to the love of the Creator.’ First of all it's the connection between us and the connection between us also includes the scrutiny of what we are, and who we are, and what state we are in, and what state we should reach, and to whom we turn and so on. And what does it mean, ‘each one shall help his friend?’ And then bit by bit, we actually reach a state where from our broken system in which we depict ourselves, that we are there, we reach a more corrected system between us in which we are connected and the Creator is in our center, and this is the essence of the correction.
26. S. (51:37) What's the difference between the king and the slave in Egypt according to the desire of the Creator? What's the difference between the desire of the slave for the Creator and the desire of the king for the Creator?
R. With the King it's obvious that he can manage things. In a slave means that he cannot manage things on his own but he is following the commandments of his nature and whatever his nature tells him, this is what he does and this is called, ‘that you are as slaves in the land of Egypt,’ that you are under the rule of your egoistic will to receive only.
27. S. (52:30) Is it correct to pray in order to feel the exile or is it forbidden?
R. Why not, we want to feel our correct true state, what is the state that we are truly in and therefore, we ask of the Creator that He will shine for us with His light and we will see who we are, and what we are, and where we are. Yes, it is true we can ask for that.
28. S. (53:40) Can we say that the attraction for spirituality is like the memory that exists in us for a state of connection is something we cannot feel in our egoistic vessels and we cannot remember it but that memory exists?
R. Let's say it's true, keep going with that on your own and it will be fine, you should continue and check.
29. S. (54:19) You just said, you gave advice to raise a prayer so the Creator would show us our true state, and before that you told us to discuss in the ten and see if we are in exile. What's the right way to do this scrutiny: to scrutinize if we are in the exile or not?
R. Ask the Creator that He will show us our correct state, that He will show us our true present state that is correct. To ask that He will deliver us from that state after we will feel it, after we understand and feel what state that too was good, meaning we have to work with it, we have to work with all of that. And don't you worry about, are you asking correctly or not, it doesn't matter at all, He will correct it, He will fix it, He will correct it, and He will show it to us and He will give us additional states and what to ask for and how to ask, so the most important is to ask but together, together. This should be the key word.
S. In order to reach it together?
R. This is something you can scrutinize.
S. We are preparing for Passover and we heard that there are special lights that can advance us. Maybe it could be beneficial once or twice a week to hold a workshop in the ten: are we in exile or not?
R. Yes, you can do it even every day. Who stands in your way? I cannot dictate to you what to do. I explained to you the general flow of the correction of man up to the end of corrections until we reach that and you should try somehow to realize it, to actualize it.
Reading Excerpt #31. (01:00:00) "The Klipa, the Klipa of Egypt …”
30. R. (01:01:30) Meaning, it's a shell that grips and holds on to the person and allows him to think and perform actions only for his own benefit and truly with zero for the benefit of someone or something outside of the person or himself this is called the shell of Egypt.
Reading Excerpt #32 (01:02:07) Our sages said, “Anyone who constrains Israel becomes..” twice.
31. R. (01:03:24) This means that all the thoughts, intentions, desires and actions are all oneself, it is called Egypt, and anything outside of that or others, or the Creator, outside of the person this is already outside of Egypt and it's called Israel.
32. S. (01:04:00) Is the suffering and torments that you talk about here in the excerpt in Egypt, are they divided equally among us? It seems that some are suffering more and some are suffering less and it feels unjustified. Is it divided equally or does each one suffer differently and there is some injustice, some inequality?
R. None of us is equal to the other. We are very different from each other, even though we are similar to each other in our structure but inside the structure each one of us is very different from the other. Therefore, we cannot compare between us, and also we don't need to compare between us, we need to connect and reach a general equivalence between us and the Creator, that's one thing.
Second, is that we need to reach such connection where we will become, ‘as one man, in one heart,’ that our actions will be entirely similar to the Creator’s actions. And by that we, as it is said, ‘ from your actions we know You,’ that by that we will attain Him and discover Him and in that we will continue until we will truly be equal to Him, as it is written, ‘return to the Lord, your God.’ And therefore, even though none of us is similar to the other and not equal to the other in our thoughts or desires or actions, in our corrections, however we complete each other and this is how we attain our final and inclusive wholeness.
33. S. (01:06:25) You said earlier, that first we need to learn what it means to be in exile so I don't think that whatever I'm lacking now is the exile, rather what is truly considered exile for the Creator and for people who are climbing the ladder. So, what is truly exile for the Creator?
R. Exile for the Creator means that we are disconnected from Him, and according to our state we are not getting closer to Him, this is called exile, or that as we say about the Creator, that the Creator Himself goes out to exile together with the people of Israel. Meaning, that we are in the vessels of reception and in those vessels we cannot feel the connection between us and that special force that is joining us together who is the Creator, so it turns out that the Creator is also in exile in the people of Israel because they're not connected.
34. S. (01:08:15) To feel shame for that state is that a good beginning?
R. It doesn't matter whatever you feel, that's what you feel, it's as if you feel shame about something.
35. S. (01:08:37) It is said that there was pain and suffering under the rule of Egypt. Why can't we go to the Creator in an unhappy way, so how can we work happily in this state? That is, how do we turn to the Creator by suffering so that he can help us?
R. When we are in the exile, we feel the exile but we also feel how much discovering the exile is necessary, that it in itself pushes us to redemption. And therefore, even though we have suffering here from our work in harsh labor, that we have to be under the press of the development, under the will to receive on the one hand. On the other hand, we also realize that it's impossible without that. Just as now we are in a certain state where no one is really happy and no one has anything in their hands that they've attained and they don't have any feeling or understanding of the upper world, however with that we nevertheless, are happy to some extent that we are on the way and that from one day to the next we are advancing and we can also feel it according to the materials and according to the topics that we are going through.
I remember how I wrote my diary, what we are going through, what we learned, what exactly we asked and back then we didn't have computers like now, and I was writing and writing and writing all the time, and it filled me greatly. I could see how from one day to the next we were following a certain plan and also later on, I talked with the Rabash, when I was with him one on one, what is this plan, so he added a little bit but not much, but nevertheless, he would give me a few more points and from that I truly felt that I have light ahead of me and how do we advance, and how do we sort things out, and what things do we need to develop within a person, and how do we open up our heart, our soul more and more in both directions: in the will to receive and also in the will to bestow. And bit by bit, this method would open and close, open and close to something and its opposite, as Baal HaSulam writes, that this is how we attain each and everything.
S. Will we be happy by suffering, purposely, fully?
R. Of course, yes. If they are purposeful, that is sufferings are worthwhile for me and I am happy about that.
36. S. (01:12:50) You gave us advice to hold an internal exercise to unite the friends in my heart, if this is an internal action where I truly awaken the friends in my ten to a certain common prayer, meaning the question is: is there any qualitative change in those feelings, and it depends on the force of our Masach or is it some quantitative action?
R. No, there's no such thing as a quantitative action. All of our actions are always qualitative.
S. Still when I manage to connect with one friend or two or three it feels totally different?
R. These are egoistic actions for the time being, if it's not together with the ten then these are still egoistic actions.
S. Does it always have to be the ten?
R. Yes.
37. S. (01:14:35) Where does the point of the freedom of choice start that we can give contentment to the Creator?
R. Not yet, we're going to come to that, freedom of choice has to have a system that has many forces that are in balance and in the center of all the forces comes a state where we are in free choice, we will learn about that.
38. S. (01:15:20) In what we read I don't understand what the expression is that whoever chases Israel becomes the Rosh, does this mean that the exile becomes Israel as the Rosh?
R. We're going to still cover that but all in all, it's the right discernment and the right direction.
39. S. (01:16:00) What do you, as the upper one, mean in the word ten, is that a structure of Adam HaRishon or what does that mean?
R. An action within the ten, I mean the minimal, spiritual state of egoistic desires that they can annul themselves in minimal form in order to exist together and be directed to the Creator.
40. S. (01:16:53) I depict to myself that I want to feel the desire of the friend to be in the same wave with his thoughts and through love I raise MAN to the Creator for him, once I've completely become synchronized between me and the friend we ask for correction and concern from the Creator?
R. Probably correct but it's always the person who's asking the question should be the one with the question.
41. S. (01:18:01) Is the expression that we always read about that the sons of Israel's sighed from the work and the Creator heard them, it's not written that Israel turned to the Creator but they cried from not being able to receive, so what does that expression of the cry how should it be that the Creator really hears it?
R. No, it says as follows, and sighed the sons of Israel in the work and they raised it to the Creator and he heard them and so on meaning that they cried to the Creator, and their voices reached the Creator and the Creator heard them, and turned to them.
S. Meaning, in this cry there was a plea to the Creator?
R. Who else would you cry for?
S. It's written that they didn't want to work in self-reception?
R. Yes, and this is why they cried out, meaning it was such a large desire to disconnect from the ego, not to work in it but they couldn't do it themselves that they cried out to the Creator demanding that he releases them from the egoism.
S. We've been saying how every friend finds himself in the lack of his desire, meaning every person discovers himself in his own ego and wants to relinquish his ego. But here in the sentence we read it's written that the cry has to be mutual, does this mean that we have to scrutinize between us what the lack of desire to work in self reception is?
R. I don't understand, this is clarified by us in each degree, we clarify the inability or unwillingness to work in bestowal and in this it determines the rise in the degrees.
S. Let's say with me, I discover myself with a lack of my desire, a friend discovers the lack of his desire: so we have to agree on those lacks of desires?
R. No, you don't have to, later, gradually we will come to their unification and we will understand one another.
42. S. (01:21:23) In order to learn from your experience you said that you used to keep a diary or a schedule, so you used to write questions during the day and come to the lesson with them?
R. Yes, I would also do that but more than that I asked the teacher in private. I spent many hours with him daily, so I had enough time to ask him and he would answer. Sometimes I would write them down, these things in a notebook and sometimes I wouldn't, it was also during a trip or during a drive and he would sit next to me, so there wasn't a lack.
S. Do you recommend that we keep a diary?
R. I recommend today you have each and every lesson that you press a button and you have before you all the lessons and you can choose the lesson and go over it, I didn't have that option. So, I cannot recommend what to do, but what would help me is that I would arrange all the lessons in such a way that each day I would know how we advance and how we progress, and I had a certain roadway or path ahead of me so that it wasn't just another lesson and another lesson but each lesson was a step forward, even if I didn't know what would be the next lesson but after we go through it, or finish it, then as we finish the lesson I would want to know in what way did we advance in comparison to the previous lesson. I would really demand of myself and also asked sometimes of Rabash, what is happening here and why this topic and why that topic and how are they connected to what we studied earlier and so on.
So I had a certain flow of topics and in this way I would understand his approach, his tendency but at least little by little, in small parts as if you're going on a very, very long way, with many descents and ascents, in deviations and how do you know you are on the path and what does each turn need to add to you and I would really want to know the general plan: how do you bring a person from the zero that the Creator has created him until G’Mar Tikkun, on each and every step, on each and every degree, in the order of degrees, the necessity of each and every degree in each and every level and this was very important.
S. That's really what a friend in the ten recommended: that as a ten, every day scrutinize what we went through and measure towards the goal whether we came closer or not.
R. Very important, very important, do it, it is worthwhile to dedicate effort to it. I am built in such a way that if I don't know the general plan of why everything exists, I cannot just study, just study this is a piece and this is a piece, if there is no connection between them, and that was the same in School and in University, what is the purpose to study a certain theorem, a certain formula or something. If I don't know what it can belong to or where it is coming from or what is the necessity in it and so on, it was very difficult. Meaning, not the topic itself is a challenge, but the challenge is where it's coming from or where it's born from and why do we need, this is important. And if I already know that, then there is an approach and a tendency and then I can study. So here we are learning the purpose of creation. It's very important for us to know the general picture and the place of each and everything and how do we approach to the general map because all of this is the knowledge of the Creator at the end of the way.
43. S. (01:28:24) Thanks for giving us that excellent description of how to connect all the different teachings, so that's what I wanted to ask, ‘the children of Israel cried from the work,’ is that an expression of faith, did they get to the point where they despaired of their own strength and they recognized that there is no other force that would get them there and is that faith above reason?
R. Yes, this is a lack of faith above reason and certainly we need to arrive at that, if we do not arrive at such a deficiency we will not really have a deficiency in the Creator.
S. That is, one should be constantly praying for faith in the ten, so that even if a friend is in a descent we can express our prayer and faith that the friend will eventually be part of that prayer to get them out of the exile?
R. Of course we need to guard the health and the wholeness of the ten all the time as much as possible according to our degree.
S. When we come to Pesach, if we all come with this one single intention to get to a place where our faith is so strong and we want to come out of exile and we want to come out as one single force and be a global representation of the Creator, if we come with that one single force, can we do it?
R. Certainly you need to try and rise above the ego that is conquering each and everyone within their own framework and rise above that sensation and that feeling and connect together, above time, space, motion and really in a spiritual way and for this you don't need to travel anywhere or do any physical actions but only actions in the desire; do this and be successful.
44. S. (01:31:43) Is there a task before me to feel the deficiencies of the ten to such an extent that I will feel beyond the desires the yearning for the Creator, or is it like a general cry out: is that what we're reading about, or still do we need to create this cry between us?
R. Both ways, try.
45. S. (01:32:35) What happens to my spirituality, my question: this process of Pesach if I don't put my part in the ten, if I don't take care of the ten?
R. Your question is not included in the general system of Adam and it's not acting in it; it's very simple.
46. S. (01:33:21) I wanted to ask for advice: I feel that after the first hour of the lesson my concentration falls and I start to have distractions. Can you give us advice on how to keep concentration and not to fall into distractions please?
R. This is why we probably need to move to a new topic.

Connecting the World in the Last Generation - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #8
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HOnMWioE_4GaUoBtCwvQkTrld4NpvfKRRM2LOl3AbkI/edit
Reading excerpt number 8 “It is best for us to agree..”
1. R. (00:52) What does he want to say to us? That there is nothing other than the system of Nature that is called Elokim, there's nothing other than that and we need to relate to it in such a way to everything surrounds us, wherever we may be and whatever we influence and whatever influences us, that we are in an integral part in that same system that is called Nature or Elokim, and this is why when we say Ha ……… his name is one, we mean to say that other than the system that we are in there is nothing else only one force that is acting according to what we receive, we understand that the desire of this force is to bring us to unification with Him, only not in an obligatory way, forcefully, but through awareness, the recognition of the good, as much as we understand and sense and feel Him accept Him as the good that does good to that degree we are able to come closer to Him, connect with Him, cleave to Him, adhere to Him and we come back to Him to Nature.
2. S. (02:33) He said that we should accept the words of the Kabbalist that nature and God are the same numerical value. I wanted to say that it's not really working for us. We are working for so many hours and so many days and we're killing ourselves on this, there are people that are….
R. Don't bring complaints to me because here it's wisdom it's a science the laws of nature. I you are told that you connect this and that you will get an explosion, then don't be surprised by this and don't complain about this, that there will be an explosion. The same here you are told that there are such a such laws you can use it this way or that way and this is it. What do you come to me with a complaint?
S. We are doing so many things for so many years, many years, why doesn't it work for us this connection?
R. I don't know. I know that humanity is in its development thousands of years, so what ,and we are also part of this development.
S. Can you explain why it takes so long to develop to reach connection?
R. You cannot come to Nature with a claim. How do you not understand that in this you're only pointing to your own lack of understanding, that not in the correct understanding and approach to the system of nature, you don't understand it you don’t feel it, you don't attain it in anything you only come and say I don't want it, I don't love, like a little baby.
S. So you're saying I'm not activating the brain, right? Stupid, but what's the right approach to reach connection? Because everybody understands that if he annuls toward the friend or the ten, so you can reach it, annul before someone…
R. Opposite that you have a nature the opposite force that is called ego that doesn't allow you to do that because otherwise if it wasn't so then there would be no value in you transitioning to connection, there would be no value here because you're overcoming the rejection your connection is receiving a value in this forces, degrees, and then out of this you already begin to…
S. What's in our ego that's so hard to overcome? Why is it so hard to overcome it? What's the reason?
R. Because you don't want to overcome it in the correct way together with the friends and the Creator.
S. What is the right form that you're speaking about? I want it,I can’t do it, why?
R. I have nothing to explain more to you, my forces are done.
S. For years it's so hard to overcome the ego.
R. You can continue whatever you want but I told you I have no more strength to hear you.
S. You have no more strength to hear me why?
R. Because I've heard you a thousand times and you don't hear me.
S. I hear you. As you said you sat next to the Rabash for years and it helped you advance, so what other things can you tell us to also advance? We don't have these things to stand next to you personally, how else can I advance?
R. What the mind doesn't do time does.
3.S. (07:38) I want to continue what you said that when you reach a point that you understand the ego is in control 100% and you understand that in order to overcome it you need through the group to turn to the Creator, and you know you're dependent on the Creator 100% but you don't get the answer, and it's just helplessness. Then what do you do?
R. Whatever isn't done by the brain is done by time. Every moment joins another and it's built and built and built a vessel that is able to receive the revelation of the Creator.
S. You're saying that time will do its thing but the time is just from you going through states but eventually you're still dependent on the Creator to give you the ability to learn how to deal with your ego because you understand that you are all ego, just ego 100% in control of you, I don't see people I see egos.
R. You think the Creator doesn't understand that?
S Of course.
R So why are you telling me that?
S I'm saying it because I'm trying to find the formula how to deal with the ego and be above it that eventually I understand that only the Creator can give me these forces and as much as I ask Him I don't reach the point of that big cry but I'm constantly in this 24/7.
R. Okay let's not waste time. You and your friend can organize a party against us or something like that and then it will be more fun.
4. S. (10:00) I want to voice a different opinion from the friend. I feel that we have way more discernments and that…
R. Lady, we are not here in a discussion in the parliament. If you have a question ask.
S. Is the discernment between ego or between good and bad? Does it become more clear?
R. Yes.
5. S. (10:38) We have a doubt in the ten if we understand the text. The Kbbalists use Elohim for the Creator so what about all of the other 72 names?
R. We have yet to study all the 72 names. When the time comes we will study.
6. S. (11:20) During the descent I think of myself and ask of the Creator to help me. It is difficult to ask for the ten, what do I do?
R. We think of the ten as much as I am independent on the ten, as much as I depend on the ten because me myself I don't count, I am not absorbed in any system, I'm not registered in any plan of nature but as much as I am in a ten and in somewhat in that ten I can determine the direction. That's the only way I count, as much as I push the ten towards correction.
7. S. (12:30) Do we always have to think that our common goal is the final correction.?
R. Yes, that is what we need to remember. That hour Mutual goal is the end of correction, that we are all united as one and the Creator shines on us as one. that is the end of corrections, that is the state we have to yearn towards.
8. S. (13:18) Creator is all the time bestowing and giving everything to us and we are just receiving all the time, and the question is when we reach this on Passover this barrier, this machsom (screen), we should start to bestow and the question is to whom? Because is there somebody to receive?
R. The Creator. The Creator. He receives everything we do negative, positive in all directions.
9. S. (14:50) In nature the fruit cannot do anything in order to ripen faster. We in our hands we also don't have much to do in order to reach it faster and everything depends on the Creator. Is it enough for us to be satisfied that at the end of the process we are going to be a ripe fruit?
R. It's written, at the end of 6,000 years we must reach the purpose of creation.
S. we cannot change our reality only in order to receive it, and in receiving it…
R. We can hasten the times.
S. In our sensation?
R. It's all in a sensation.
Excerpt # 9 Nature, like a skillful judge, punishes us according to our development…
10. R. (17:59) Clear? What he writes, we will still need to keep the laws of nature to the extent that is demanded of us and there is nowhere to run from this, clear?
S. What's isn't clear? That he says nature will defeat us and we will be obligated.
R. Yes. Nature will defeat us. It will press on us from all directions in a way that there will be nowhere to run to, but to keep all laws of nature in a complete way.
S. Nature will obligate us to do it or to ask for it.
R.. What to ask for? Who's asking? Nature is putting us into such corners that from them we can only come out through keeping the laws of nature.
S. Why not obligate us already right now?
R. No. We need to scrutinize exactly what our attitude is. We want it or not and also if we want it or not we still are under that press of development. Still we need to be partners in this.
11. S. (19:32) Why as much we advance, as much as we develop the Commandment of bestowing to the other becomes more serious?
R. Right, because we're going through a gradual development towards the correction of everyone together as one man with one heart. So, we need to develop more and more towards connection between us as one system. And that's why and according to that, our suffering, the states we go through, will become more and more general, collective. That previous generations didn't speak about it and in our generation everybody is already talking about being connected, all kinds of parties and groups and connections and..
S. Yes, but there's something irrational here as much as the ego develops will grow the system of mine is mine and is what's yours is yours.
R That's in order to scrutinize and to discover that we can’t keep that law, what's mine is mine, what's yours is yours. We can't keep these things. As much as it seems to us that it's a good thing and we develop and we can also support it with technology and.. no we won't be able to. Eventually we all depend on one another, really dependent.
12. S. (21:23) Sometimes old friends bigger than me exit from the path. I fear that it can also happen to me. How can I work with it?
R. It's not from wisdom, what do they have that they're tossing this away? That's what Baal HaSulam writes about, that many people enter and walk the path and fell off and left. And what, what from that nothing. Then they went into the grave without any memory of them. So, we don't want to be like that. We want to organize our vessels before we die as animals. By that we will get our part in the eternal spiritual world and that's how we continue with adhesion between us and the Creator.
Excerpt #10 I have already said that there are two ways to discover the completeness..
13. S. (24:20) How can we know what nature demands of us for the benefit of society?
R. We read about it, we read what the Sages tell us. That they already attained it, they already received it and they're passing it to us. That except for connection we don't need anything, only connection. What are we waiting for, an angel to come from above and teach us? No. Through the Sages, they give us the whole method.
14. S. (25:38) This excerpt shows us some general picture, or I can for example imagine all of my friends in the 10 with all of their qualities and the laws of nature?
R. You can.
15. S. (26:11) It is written that as much as we developed will come. What we see is that as we develop it's easier for us to get our necessities. Is it talking about suffering that we need to transition to spiritual suffering?
R. Yes. All of our suffering has to be suffering of love, you are right.
S. Meaning here Baal HaSulam doesn't write about the external necessities of the societies but the internal ones?
R. Yes.
16. S. (27:10) The revelation of the general Creator in the group, what is the state or action in relation to the entire Bnei Baruch and the entire world?
R. I'll tell you, it's revealing the Creator in general. Our mutual Creator in the 10 is a revelation of the hearts, that they all connect together and discover that they are similar, equal, identical, everyone towards everyone. And this general unity of all the hearts that is revealed, that's what gives the feeling of the Creator. That's why, there is no Creator. There is a general, mutual feeling of all hearts together in one heart. It's a very special feeling, such that it completely fills everything. That is the state we have to get to, there's nothing better than that.
S. Through this state then what?
R. Next, we don't ask about. I said there's nothing better than this state and you're jumping with a question. The main thing is to ask.
17. S. (28:58) When the sages tell us that whatever isn't done by the mind is done by time, it talks about that a person drops off the path of hastening and that he needs to aim himself and wait for some states to pass by and he's still on the path of hastening and he needs to clarify something to understand?
R. You're right, you're right. A certain amount of states have to go through until a person understands and that he only understands what he went through and what he is supposed to feel.
18. S. (29:58) It's written in the excerpt that if Humanity wants to survive through the ruin, it needs to reach a state that everyone works for their necessity and the rest is for the benefit of others. It doesn't seem that we are quite there yet, so what chances do we have to survive?
R. Humanity has no chance. There is a plan of creation and humanity according to that plan needs to go from one end to the other. That's why we don't ask about chances, these are those. Baal HaSulam writes there's only a few possibilities on how to reach the end of correction, either the hastening the time or in its own time or in a good way or in a very very not good way, but eventually we will get there. We still will. That's what's before us.
S. We know that but humanity that isn't even aware?
R. Humanity isn't aware. They don't want to be aware, so what do you want from them? You have to do what you're supposed to do, you have to scatter knowledge in humanity as much as they are able to absorb and keep going. Okay?
19. S. (31:47) In relation to the matter of the path of hastening and the path of Torah and the path of suffering I will ask. It is written that a person learns wherever his heart is. So, if he follows his heart he needs to invest in this study? For example, I can listen to your test lessons all the time where you talk about the worlds, I connect to this study and I feel this is where my heart is. This I do on my own and the morning lessons when we're here and study something else. Is this also okay?
R. That's also good, that's also good. By studying TES you're learning things that you completely don't attain, but you are depicting to yourself in your mind, that's it, just as anything which is abstract. But, what we are learning we want to awaken certain feelings, certain sensations, and that's something different meaning we are really developing the organs of our soul.
S. There's a natural direction of the heart, like I am a programmer. My brain works with numbers, I'm excited by numbers. And also my study with TES, I get excited from this study and again naturally I'm attracted to the study. I think from this also I can develop feelings. This is what I feel.
R. Keep going, keep going and we'll talk in a little while from now.
20. S. (34:22) Baal HaSulam writes about if we don't move then bombs will do their thing and in this way nature will force us to move. The question is how does our connection in the 10 relate to the fact that bombs will stop dropping?
R. Pray for it, ask for it but together, together. And you will see as much as it can really affect the bombs and we are with you. We will also pray.
S. There's a question, it's been there for a while inside. Before these bombs dropped on our head here and we often hear these explosions, before all of this started happening we knew that somewhere in the world there were wars where people suffer, but it wasn't our problem. It wasn't close to us. There was no sensation that such a large problem that needs to be acted against and even now that all of this is happening, I feel in myself that I'm getting lazy in the work. All of these horrific things that are happening, you start getting used to it. How do I feel this huge problem that Baal HaSulam writes about? How do I feel that as if all of these things are already happening right now, how can I get closer to it?
R. I don't know what to say. I was here in Israel in the 90s when Saddam Hussein’s rockets fell here, and also I felt the same thing. There were missiles exploding next to my house, a few hundred yards from my house ballistic missiles fell. I felt it all, what can I advise? Only to pray together that it will all go by and people will understand that peace is very important because with war nothing can be attained; we see it throughout all of history.
Excerpt # 11 We must thoroughly know the proportional value between the individual and collective.
21. S. (41:18) Pray for the laws of nature to act?
R. Yes, of course. Sure, the main thing is not to just sit in laziness.
22. S. (42:00) You just explained that we need to pray for all of this to go away, but during the world prayers we are more grateful for the Creator and asking for our Unity with the understanding that the relation to what is happening is different. It is different from what is happening in the Ukrainian vessel and the Russian ten’s. It is for obvious reasons. Is it right to ask for unity and rise above everything on the corporeal level to rise on a higher level? I'm asking that all of this will pass through the unity of the world vessel in a single ten?
R. I agree with you that's right. You have to ask for peace for the whole world.
23. S. (43:27) The friends are concerned about the State of Israel, can I ask?
R. I can't answer because I have no business in that. Well, try.
S. The friends are very concerned. They see that the state is very tight and they're asking if they should do room hall duties in order for unity?
R. Pray for connection, general connection that's always good for sure. We also have here and there excerpts by Baal HaSulam that he says, if we won't reach, we won't build our nation so we are going to scatter again and leave this place and we won't have any way to exist together. So, we are in a very critical State, either to here or to there. It all depends on as much as the nation understands that its connection has to be above all contradictions.
S. Other than the constant dissemination and the prayer of the friends, is there anything else that we can take and pass the positive force from the lesson to this reality to open something inside of us for it to pass better?
R. I can say, I don't belong to dissemination and not to anything. I'm explaining what is written according to what I understand about Baal HaSulam and Rabash, that connection is the key for success. No more than that.
24. S. (45:32) Does each wheel need to reach the awareness of its own individuality in order to fully serve?
R. Yes every cogwheel, every person in this world, has to eventually attain the Creator at the fullest as a result of his own vessel.
25. S. (46:25) After the Congress you recommended that we choose a 10 or two that can be close to us and for us to be connected throughout the whole organization. So what do you think about watching the lesson with another 10 or rotating tens? Will it add to our discernment or can it harm and you do not recommend?
R. It's hard to say. It's not written anywhere that we should do that, better to just sustain the 10 in the way the 10 is supposed to be. Connect between us as much as possible and with other tens, during the Congress. Soon we're going to have a Congress, in about a month, and then we will feel, decide about it, maybe before the Congress you'll have all kinds of suggestions on what we should do. So write to the people taking care of it and we will do it.

Passover - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #28
Passover - Main page for all chapters
R. Yes, we have to rise above corporeality because it doesn't become 100-percent important for us like before, when we were still immersed in it.
R. Yes.
R. The fact that my Ten is internally coming closer to each other by that we also influence all of the other Tens because we exist in a single system, in a single motor that is working with all of its parts and then for sure even if one Ten becomes more solidified, more together than this Ten operates on all of the other Tens on the entire structure of Adam HaRishon, although it is broken more and more towards connection, solidifying.
R. I don't understand.
