Have We Learned the Main Lesson from the Coronavirus?

31. 5. 2021
As we know the coronavirus pandemic is still raging in certain places around the world, and there is talk about its return everywhere. In Israel, all the restrictions have been lifted, although we can’t say we got rid of the coronavirus. We just did what we did. There is a joke on the Internet: Look at how the world is stuck. Everyone's still in the coronavirus, and the Israelis, they're already four disasters ahead of everyone. The mass casualty tragedy in Meron, the collapse in Giv'at Ze'ev, the operation in Gaza, riots all around Israel. The coronavirus is last year's news. The feeling is that what happened last month is now ancient history. We have this ‘enter, delete’ button in Israel. We push it, forget everything and go forward. There's an advantage to that. If we were stuck every time in the past troubles, where would we be today? On the other hand, there are none as wise as the experienced and we don't really want to get all these experiences. We only want to go forward. What does a Kabbalist think? What lesson should we learn from the past? Answer by kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman: It's something that we're not doing at all because we're not scrutinizing how much our behavior is leading us toward failure. I thought that we would be able to draw some kind of conclusion from the coronavirus, because one way or another, all of mankind’s problems come from our ego. The main lesson of the coronavirus was that the relations between us influence what goes on in nature. Our human ego is the nature that we're using in order to destroy each other. It influences everything from the highest level of nature. There are still vegetative, animate and human levels. We influence all of the forms of nature and, therefore, all of nature will become corrupted. Look at what goes on with global warming: volcanoes that are erupting everywhere, the oceans and what goes on with them. These are things that we don't really pay attention to. Can we influence them? Yes, but only through our connection. All of the bad things that can appear in reality are a direct result of the use of our ego.
