Baal HaSulam - Peace in the World (In the Absence of the Ability to Establish.)

29. R. (03:18) Besides truth we don't need anything. There is one law that we observe that, if you're in that, you're alive if you're not in that you are dead but you have no way to shift from being dead to being alive, there is no transition, no place for corrections, no place for approaching the truth. This is why you have all kinds of results besides the truth; mercy, justice, peace hat exists because you have no choice if they exist because precisely through them, we can shift from negating the truth to observing the truth.

30. S. (05:49) According to the Creator's law of truth we would let the weak and sick die and that is how it is, that is the truth but we have to seek out the truth also, so why does the Creator give us mercy, truth, justice and peace?

R. No, no, so that we won't let someone weak die, and we can move the minus to the plus, it will be something in between, some connection, some passage or transition and therefore these are called the primordial stages, mercy, peace. There is nothing in nature like this except these qualities of mercy, righteousness and peace, are so that we will be able to move from our states which are the opposite of the truth to the truth because otherwise we also would not exist. How can we exist in an opposite state from the truth as there is only the Creator. That is the root of all of life and whoever is in it is, and whoever in not, is not. There is nothing in between here, nothing between the Creator and being like the Creator, or not being like the Creator. There is no ladder of states, there is no coming closer or distancing but simply either yes or no.

This is the way that nature has to operate. But in order for there to be a possibility for a creature to exist and for a creature being something that is outside the Creator, so how can he exist if there is only the quality of truth, the Creator? We need to build the creature in an opposite manner to the Creator completely so will he take place or exist or not and let him exist in a way that is opposite to the Creator and to give this creature the possibilities to come closer to the Creator. Not just like that to come closer but to give him the possibility to examine the extent in which he is opposite and how this opposite place from the Creator is not good and not that it's not good for him, to the creature himself. Rather from all kinds of higher values to him where he will start to appreciate the Creator as a good who does good and is complete, loving and bestowing. For him to be able to absorb these qualities of the Creator and appreciate them in such a way, then he will truly come closer to the Creator through these getting forces to sort himself in such a way. Not just in thought but also in desire, which is already in practicality, in potential.

Meaning that there is a special process here outside of the Creator, someone who is called the created being or a creature in order to come closer to the Creator and even though he is a creature he will be able to receive the qualities of the Creator to be like him. This is truly a very special state that we have in creation, that the person has. Therefore, it is how he explains this to us upon the 4 measures of mercy, truth, justice, and peace where other than truth, which is the quality of the Creator, includes everything and this is why it is called truth. In Hebrew, the word Emet Aleph Mem and Tav, Aleph is the first letter of the Alphabet and Tav is the last with Mem in the middle symbolizing the quality of Bina. This is the quality of the Creator from the beginning to the end. If we need to establish other than the Creator someone who is called the creature, the created being then we need to develop him, we need to give him all of the qualities of the Creator in a gradual manner to the extent in which He is wanting to absorb and receive, to work in them, to resemble the Creator. This is great work and this is what we learned all together in the wisdom of Kabbalah.

31. S. (11:28) The quality of truth is a spiritual quality and we see that humanity is incapable even a little bit to understand its quality, everyone defines and understands it according to themselves. How can humanity without the wisdom of Kabbalah grasp that there are other forms of criteria that they can hope to attain?

R. That is of course through our explanation but prior through our explanation humanity must want to understand what world they live in and what form of correction they need to take upon themselves in order to come closer to the truth. Therefore, we will have to work here, but the main thing in all of our work will come from suffering as we need to constantly engage in dissemination and in accordance with the suffering that people feel, to the extent to which they are not in truth but in falsehood. Accordingly, they will receive our understanding, and want to know and understand, receive and this is how we will advance.

32. S. (13:18) Can we attain the quality of truth without first love and with love we discover we don’t have any?

R. To attain the quality of truth we need to attain all of the qualities that precede it, all of the previous qualities from hatred to love, from falsehood to truth, everything. Meaning truth includes everything like I said Aleph Mem Tav, is all of the letters entering this word of truth and we need to attain them.

33. S. (14:27) Why does Baal HaSulam place the quality of truth at the top?

R. I don't understand what you are saying.

S. The quality of truth is based on that a person invests effort and is supposed to receive something accordingly.

R. Yes.

S. So why actually do we assume that a person can receive not according to the effort invested?

R. That takes place because we are all intermingled with each other, with the shattering when we were all connected prior to the shattering, after when we dispersed with each other we also entered each and every one therefore each is included in each and everyone. This is why there is a problem with everyone to raise ourselves into correction. But with that as we each correct ourselves with that, we correct the whole world and understand and feel everyone that way. If we were not so connected to one another we wouldn't even have a complaint to one another of what is going on.

34. S. (16:37) Yesterday you said in humanity that people consider what is bad for them as false and what is good for them as truth.

R. Yes, that is how they accept it.

S. In such a state how can we bring them this method as truth if it is supposed to their nature, their egoistic nature?

R. There is no problem because they will want to know the truth because without acquiring the truth, they will see themselves as simply going to die, going to die. There is no choice, either we will understand the truth and live according to the laws of truth or that we say, my death is better than my life.

35. S. (18:02) What are those forces of destruction and building?

R. Those bad forces that we see around us, let's say like the pandemic, like cold waves and heat waves, fires and other natural disasters that we see in the world, that we will see, eventually it is draining us that we are not capable of doing anything. It is nature that is simply not letting us have a moment to rest from its pressures and it's blows upon us. This is how we will feel more and more until we begin to understand what is worthwhile for us to look over in our life, what is the main thing and what is not. In this way we will advance to the truth and the truth is also through mercy, through truth, peace and justice is how we come to the form of truth gradually. Gradually in a very special state, the Kabbalists dream about the state where we are now living, that they wanted so badly to see that the forces of nature are beginning to pressure all of humanity and to make out of it like a dough, like a shape.

36. S. (20:20) Baal HaSulam says that you can divide humanity into constructors & deconstructions. What does this mean?

R. That is something we are yet to see.

S. We in Bnei Baruch are the constructors?

R. I think it is the other way around, we will see.

S. Why will we see?

R. So you will see.
