The Conditions for Connection in the Ten- Selected Excerpts from the Sources
1. R. (00:16) Yes, we have a collection of excerpts from articles of Baal HaSulam and Rabash about the conditions of connection in the ten. If we understand, we’ve learned already, we may not understand or feel so much but still we hear that all of our corrections are in the connection between us. And the more we advance the more we feel that the connection is the solution; everything stems from the breaking of the vessel of Adam Harishon which disappeared and lost the inner power, the inner force that connected every one together as one man and one body. And now we need to try to reconnect, so out of this we have the topic of the Purpose Of The Society

2. R. (02:50) Yes. It seems like simple words that we've heard many times but still, we need to be in such an emotional state where we are in an environment where we feel its internality, that all of it is not revealed just like that, there is no posts on the walls, we don't have many songs or outcries where we tell everyone what we want. It is only that we become more and more Incorporated in that special opportunity that is given to a chosen few in the world out of billions of people. So, we come to a state that the Creator is between us, that He wants to connect us in order to settle between us, to settle Himself between us, to fill us. This is why we need to think more and more about how we adapt ourselves and how we adjust ourselves and how we become suitable for that form, which the Creator expects from us. So we will finally connect and settle in with each other in such a way that He as one force can fill us, and in this way we will come to “He is one and His name one” so the connection between us and the Creator will be congruent, matching as one.
3. S. (05:30) How do we keep this situation, what is the state between the pride and the lowliness where it says that on the one hand we need to be in pride and the other lowliness what is this middle line?
R. We need to try to connect between us and in order to be connected with the friends I need to bow before them, to connect to them, to tend to them, and this is how we help each other. We can build a society where even though it consists of many desires that are broken, broken meaning they are disconnected; and no one understands the other, but we can perform such actions where the power of the Creator that we will draw will govern us, and be in us and connect us into One. Then, accordingly we will also feel the Creator as One. There is nothing here that is special except that; this action of connecting egoistic forces into one desire. Only the Creator knows how, we can only ask for it.
S. How are we guarded from pride?
R. From pride? What's to be proud about?
S. That's what he says that we should have pride that the Creator gives us the ability.
R. When you feel that the Creator is giving you something you will be proud. For now, it's not the same pride, it is something that we don't have for the time being; such disturbances, such obstructions. We have other obstructions but we will talk about them.

(10:14) So it turns out that the purpose of society is to connect between people who have a purpose, to scrutinize between them the goal as much as possible so it becomes clearer what they want to achieve? and what they need to achieve is only one thing; the revelation of the upper Force, we have no other problems. None. And if we need to come to know It, the upper Force, is possible only if we rise above our egos. This depends on how much we rise above our egos. Here there is the matter of degrees. We need to come to a connection between us because what we are building a vessel that must be One. Even though we are separate pieces and more than being separate pieces, we reject each other with our egos. We reject. So we first have to come closer to each other, feel that it is for our sake to be connected; and how do we come closer, how do we adhere to each other, how do we acquire such a form in the connection that will be suitable, will be matching the state where the Creator fills us? This is basically the method of our correction: Turning to the Creator, receiving from Him examples how we should connect, and trying to connect ourselves according to these examples. So the rule is “Love your friend is yourself” but there are many details to how we do this.

5. S. (14:22) Where it says in the excerpt that about hatred of self, I wanted to ask how important is hatred of self to reach love of others?
R. It is one corresponding to the other to the extent that one can hate one's own egoistic nature; to that extent he can come closer to his friends with love of friends.
S. If a person is constantly hating himself, his will to receive, how can he check that he really loves the friends?
R. I don't think a person can always be in hatred of self. The nature of creation, of the creature is designed in such a way that it will not allow it. But at times he will be allowed to see it as a prize. What an egoist he is, how distant he is from others, how he repels others? this we should receive as a prize, because it straightens us out, straight to the purpose of creation.
S. Can it be said that there are only two qualities in a person, a will to receive and the quality of bestowal?
R. Yes, of course. The will to receive the creator has created in the creatures, and the desire to bestow, that exists in the Creator. This is how it's revealed towards us. And when the Creator takes care of the creatures He already does it in such a way that comes from the desire to receive and the will to bestow. So that the creatures are able to learn from these two forms of creation and choose in whichever way they wish to exist. Then we see that the Creator is really supporting the will to receive.
6. S. (17:33) It seems like the laws are clear, we study them, it seems like the whole world understands the laws already but it's not clear what movement we should make out of the swamp out of this trash. It says if we are imprisoned in the laws of nature so you don't know what's moved to advance towards the Creator?
R. Connection. Connection.
S. That's another problem. I'll tell you why it's a problem. It is said that to eat an elephant you have to eat them in small pieces and connection, Is it like an elephant that you don't know how to eat or how to start moving towards it?
R. It comes over a long period of time. I don't have anything else to say. times pass over a person's, different states, until he begins to feel what is belonging to connection and I don't have anything else to add.
S. Is there an entry point into connection if you forget what this connection is, so what do you begin?
R. The fact that a person feels, over a long period of time, based on his bitter experience that he is incapable of coming to connection, that there is only a very small gain that the Creator as if giving him a chance to connect with the friends, with others and that all of it depends on the ego of a person and the ego of a person draws a clear line; from moment to moment, how much a person is not interested in connection, and is interested only according to the time and conditions where he can profit, benefit, according to the will to receive. This is why we don't have nothing to do, we just need to try to come closer to one another according to the method and the method is simple: To attract the light that reforms. We are incapable, the upper light, the force of the Creator is capable. Only this can help us. How do we invite, how do we attract the light that reforms? Work in the heart, prayer. That we come to a state where we are certain that we cannot succeed however many times we have tried. We have to undergo many trials in order to come to the state where we are incapable. Then, try to pull all of these suggestions into prayer, and the Creator will answer.
7. S. (22:35) If we get from the Creator the prize of self-hate, what is the right thing to do with it in order to advance?
R. if I know that I hate everyone?
S. Myself. If I get the prize as you said before I get the prize from the Creator so that part of the time I hate myself, what can I do with it in order to advance?
R. I have to check what the reason is. The reason is likely because I am in the will to receive for myself and I reveal that this is the evil, this is why I hate myself, and it's already progress.
8. S. (22:42) How do we connect so that each friend receives the powers of the other friends?
R. How? As much as we depict to ourselves correctly the goal; the connection we have to reveal between us in order to reach the goal accordingly we will advance, progress.
S. Does it mean we have to work with envy, lust and honor?
R. This is already outside of the basic deficiency. But in essence yes. Envy lust and honor bring a person out of this world.
S. Do these qualities take me out of this world and bring me to the friends?
R. Yes. I have to check all of my connections and all of my relationships with the friends because all in all this is what brings me closer to my relationship with the Creator. Only in such a way do we come closer to the Creator until we are included in the thought of creation.
9. S. (26:31) What is the difference between the shame I get from the friends caring about me and I can't, and hating myself?
R. Hatred of self is the result, where it appears that not successful in something. And hatred of self can be from the will to bestow and from the will to receive. Meaning I lost on the stock market then I also hate myself, why am I not successful? So there are two directions to it.
The real hatred of self, is that I need to come to a state where I am connected to the friends “as one man in one heart”. This is the final stage of the correction of reality. Correction of the world. And after I arrive at a certain degree of correction I check myself and I see that I don't have, let's say, self-love, I don't have self hatred, I don't have hatred for others, love of others, I need to check myself where am I? Then according to this, we arrive at our corrections on the way.
S. In other words, the lower I am before the forces of the friends, only in this way can I acquire the form of progress advancing?
R. Yes. Without aiming myself towards the friends in the correct way, I cannot be aimed correctly towards the Creator.
10. S. (28:49) Should I include the will to receive in order to feel a taste of connection?
R. Flavor we feel only in the will to receive.
S. Does it help connection?
R. Yes, depending on the intention, it depends on many factors, but yes.
11. S. (29:40) Is there a state between Moses and Pharaoh, is there a degree between Moses and Pharaoh?
R. In between Moses and Pharaoh? No. We have these two states and we need to understand that one cannot exist without the other.
S. If I am not in love and connection with the friends I have no desire to bestow, doesn't that mean that I fell into my ego?
R. Yes certainly, the moment a person does not advance in bestowel he instantly falls into reception.
S. How can we live in this awareness all the time and continue this work all the time?
R. How can we live in this? Only with the support from the friends. They can build around us such an environment of importance, of bestowal, of connection, of coming closer to the Creator, that we won't be able to leave it. A person all in all is an outcome of the environment, and very quickly we can reach the adherence to the Creator.
12. S. (31:48) Envy, lust and honor are the opposite side of the request I want to rely on, so will my request be correct?
R. Let's say for now, then we'll need to understand the correct form for using all of these negatives, as if negative traits.
S. Should we observe in the Ten who I'm jealous of?
R. No, no, we don't deal in psychology.
13. S. (34:31) How do we divide inner work and outer work correctly so we don't cross borders of personal life ?
R. We need to have conversations with more and more of the friends, annul myself in order to learn from them and try to see how I advance specifically in that, that I diminish myself towards my friends and gradually it will form a correct vision of reality for me.
14. S. (35:48) They have 50 women in the Ten, 25 are active. Should they increase their efforts or what's better quality or quantity?
R. Quantity times quality and it's not correct that you are concerned over quality as if this is spirituality, this is how people think, but quantity is very important as well. Especially in the beginning of the path.
S. These feelings in connection are hard work, when we are 20 it's even more so it's a question that's troubling the whole Ten?
R. I don't think this is the problem, I don't think this is the problem. We need to simply annul each self towards the Ten. Then everything is arranged in a beautiful way. Try to give a good example. that at the end of the day you can make a list, in what did you anal towards the Ten, towards the friends. and in this way each and everyone.
15. S. (38:24) Without the bad and the good, all the feelings disappear?
R. You're right to disappear.
S. I feel like it's a lie. What do we need to do in order to rise above beyond bad and good and rise above ourselves, only towards our goal?
R. What's the question?
S. How do we balance ourselves between bad and good towards the goal?
R. How to balance ourselves? I don't know either, I don't think there is an answer. we simply have to every moment ,every single moment check ourselves, how do we arrive to good, that good is called love, connection, and in this way we will gradually arrive, because eah millimeter this one step is not something that we can see.
16. S. (40:45) We have to come out of our will to receive and through hatred of self and the word hatred is really like a powerful force, this feeling, do we need to live constantly in powerful feelings and be in this movement?
R. No, we have to hate our ego that thinks for our benefit and for the harm of others. But if I don't have a negative relation towards others then I don't need to feel anything bad. This is how it is. I don't need to prepare myself to always have a negative feeling, sensation.
S. The other part is, to succeed in our work we need to annul ourselves all the time before love of others and being bestowal?
R. All the time I wouldn't say but I have to always check how to walk along the way together with everyone.
S. We shouldn't be afraid that all these feelings are so strong? They can be strong right?
R. No, no, we don't need to be in fear at all. We need to be balanced amongst each other in support of our friends, to support them. and in this way we attain the golden road so to speak.
S. We feel so powerful from time to time and of course the fear comes.
R. Yes, well.
