Morning Lesson April 5, 2021
1. Rav’s Introduction: The whole of humanity and we as well as the whole of humanity, go through all kinds of different states and always when there is a change of states, coming out of some habit this causes instability, losing the stability that we had because a habit becomes second nature and if we come out of this habit and enter into a new state, even though we are not used to it. There is a state here where a person doesn't feel himself as safe. Where is he, who is he connected to, and what is influencing him, not certain what to do. We see this with little children that if they lose sight of the grown-ups immediately, they run back to the mother and they want to hide in her, to enter into her. This happens naturally and if they feel themselves as secure, they run around, yell and are happy but up to the point where they don't lose their root. Here also where we have different states, changing states in our lives, is how we behave like little children, it is the same with us. We don't quite know what to do and this influences us whether we are aware of it or not and it actually causes us to advance spiritually if we will behave correctly. But if we behave whichever way we feel like from within, then we simply lose our correct direction and return to beastliness instead of continuing to exist in our spiritual development we go back to the corporeal life which is the life of the beast.
The most important thing is that we will feel good, comfortable, and warm. Everything will be clear and we will be full and healthy, it becomes the most important and besides that we don't want to think about anything or talk about anything else. Because the whole of humanity has already gone through many changes, we need to see from history everything that happened from the great transitions in the state of society, in humanity from one state to another, we also need to see what states we are in and what great changes, essential changes and mostly rapid changes that we are going through learning how this influences us. The most important is what should be permanent, constant and what might change. There are people who cannot hold themselves toward the true eternal global goal and the most important goal is to hold themselves in the corporeal life in the same form. But if corporeal life also changes, then they lose their orientation and they don't know what to hold on to or what to do or what will happen. And here, we need to understand that the wisdom of Kabbalah is what gives us an anchor, a corporeal because whatever happens, you have to be connected to a group, the Creator since these things belong to the upper root which is eternal and whole and it doesn't matter what happens around you, already connected to the root and each moment and with every change you need to strengthen yourself more and more towards the 10 and towards the Creator who is in the 10. These are the constant forces of nature so that even if we lose them for sometimes, however specifically through these times we have to go back to them and realize that any change in times and states that we go through is only in order for us to hold even stronger, to hold on to the connection into the Creator as the one who is sustaining the connection.
In this way we will not lose anything, out of our existence neither the early one of this world nor the spiritual one in the upper spiritual world. This is what we have to learn, that it all depends and is related to the importance of the goal. The goal is to reach the Creator to have a grip on him so much that we adhere to him according to our degree of adhesion. We also discover him, turning to my ten and be in constant connection with him. This is how we will exist and connect the two worlds the corporeal one and the spiritual one ourselves in the 10 and the Creator inside of the 10 and here we need to realize that all of these states that become revealed, the pandemic and in general everything that we have, everything man has in his individual life and in the life of the group, in the world and in between the worlds. All of this comes to a man only so that he will scrutinize more and more his correct direction in life. The more he will be connected with the source of life and the purpose of life.
This is what I have to say and all of the rest we will go through it according to the excerpts and because of the pandemic and because we went through a special study on Passover, we need to strengthen a little bit more our connection with the root, with the Creator. Of course, through the connection between us and here in such states there are two inclinations in our society and in general in humanity. There are those who come closer to the revelation in searching for the Creator inside of the group, inside society and there are the opposites, who run into their cage and there they mostly want to connect like a baby to the mother and in there that one will have some salvation, some sources so that he will be secure, what will he be secure about this is unknown, this is what it feels like. A person is in a transition, going to go towards faith above reason and searching more for his connection with the 10 and with the Creator who is inside the 10 or he is going back to corporeality. So that whatever I have in my corporeal life as long as I live, that I can see I have a grip on it and have nothing more. Like a baby who is always holding on to his small beloved toy putting this toy in his mouth and then for certain that he can feel it, that they still have not developed senses but only the sense of taste as the foundation of life.
This is how they exist and the inclinations in all kinds of different forms for beginners and veterans, small ones, great ones we see in our society and it is worthwhile to watch this and to learn from it because we can advance a lot and also save many redundant actions. To reach the force of faith quicker, the force of bestowal and see that it specifically is dwelling in the world and not our small force of reception. This is why I chose specifically the topic which is not according to the process which we were in beforehand, but rather according to what is necessary for us today as it seems to me. This is increasing the importance of the goal because I am getting not one or two, but all kinds of appeals and letters, emails from men and women who are telling me that we, usually it's me, usually each one is riding on his own behalf, that I don't feel that I can keep going, that I have no force, no foundation that suddenly I am losing everything. These people do not understand, everything comes from the Creator and There is none else besides Him. If we feel in our existence at we are truly hanging in the air, called flying the kite, the tower flying in the air which is what the force of Bina, it's called in the Wisdom Kabbalah, the tower flying in the air that we are given such emotions in order for us to discover ourselves that we can do exist in the force of Bina, faith above reason that we in such a way can rise to the spiritual degree, the eternal degree where our eyes open up and there we can see how we are truly in the world of truth.
It is not that we retreat and go back to being a baby or go back to our playpen because there we can hold ourselves in a state of security, confidence, we need to relate our confidence more to the upper force to open up to it more and be dependent upon it not like the little children getting into their bed or going to their corner, there to see ourselves that this is a safer place. Not like the little animals but as people who together specifically in such cases and in this case, it happens deliberately where we are not confident, not secure and we don't know, we do not have a happy and secure mood, specifically for us to grip one another and together hold on to the upper force of faith, which is above us, to enter the house of the king. The Creator. Therefore, all of these things should be before us and we need to realize that it is possible to do it only by increasing the importance of the goal. We cannot run away from our situation, it is not worthwhile for us to shut our eyes even though we want to do so instinctively but rather only to embrace ourselves and everyone, feel we have a connection between us, and in that connection between us we search and locate the upper force which is giving us these states deliberately for this purpose. As we hold each other and Him, we can rise to the next spiritual degree. As we learn there is nothing harder than rising to this first spiritual degree before us and accordingly we will take this next step.
2. S. (02:40:23) You said there are tens closer to the Creator and others that are more distant. What does it mean when a 10 is coming closer to the revelation of the creator?
R. I think each one can answer this formal question for you. A 10 that is closer to the revelation of the Creator means it feels it depends on all of the friends and all of the friends depend upon the 10 and they have to hold on to one another, otherwise they will fall all together from the wagon as we call it. Meaning from the device or the vehicle in which they are advancing towards the goal, towards the Creator, if they feel that the connection between them is leading them more and more towards closeness to the Creator this means it is a correct 10.
S. We want to be in such a 10, what responsibilities do we have towards the greatness of a goal that we have to share with each other, does it have to be evident?
R. Yes, this is specifically if we emphasized each time the 10 on its own, that the most important is a connection inside of the 10 so we will not scatter our attention to the other tens causing confusion because nevertheless 10 and not 9 and not 10 and not 11. Ten is the foundation and we reach being as one 10 good all of us, all of humanity, all of the souls and this is why it is important for us that it will happen in a single 10. First of all, I care for my 10 and along with that the next stage, not after that stage, but rather along with it, but with lesser importance. I care about how all of the 10’s connect between them so that we will have such a form where we care that my 10 is in the middle and all of the other 10 that are around us. There is no equality yet but rather this is how I can organize it how it is given to us. In the meantime, how can I organize my environment correctly that as I feel myself being in the center of the 10 according to what Rabash writes, according to how I serve them I need to be greater than them and also to be the smallest among them. I nevertheless put myself in the center of the 10 in my actions as either a zero or as a 10. Likewise, I need to put not myself but my 10 among all of the 10’s also in the same form.
3. S. (18:59) The Corona pandemic is arranging in the world, it is practically disappearing and Israel after many people have been vaccinated. It seems that it is supposed to be the opposite because we are supposed to help the world become corrected. Here in Israel, we are starting to go berserk, running after shopping, the will to receive and everyone simply went out of their homes as if together. Why does the Creator do it this way? If my role is to correct the world, then he should have burdened us?
R. We have elections in Israel now but we have no elections regarding the Creator so what you're saying is irrelevant rather you need to see how you begin to understand better and better what the creator is doing with us not that it is that you are just criticizing him. How do I understand what he is doing, this should be the question? The question becomes different, I can understand the Creator only if I will cancel my ego and instead of my ego that I will acquire the quality of the bestowal and with the quality of bestowal I will understand Him. I want to understand the friend’s mind, his emotion, his states and then you can understand him, this is what it means to understand him. How can you understand the Creator? You have no quality of his, he is entirely bestowal and love, did you acquire these qualities? No, you cannot understand his actions, but you can just go with your eyes shut and say, he is right and I surrender, so stop your philosophies with your beastly mind that you can criticize him, what is this attitude, are you like little children?
S. I understand what you're saying and I accept it, happy understanding what I heard from you, for me it is like Torah from Mount Sinai.
R. I do understand you and I want to tell you, whatever awakens in a person, desires, thoughts, criticism about the Creator the world and everything, it is all in order for him to understand how much he has to change himself in order to accept the world in the right way. Anyone who is disqualifying through his own faults meaning I see the world with my corrupted vessels, do you understand? Meaning I am the one who is corrupted and by this I am corrupting the Creator in the world and everyone around me, it is me with my vessels whereas when we reach the spiritual vision it says, I saw an opposite world, and I begin to see everything correctly because in the form of bestowal I will see the world as whole, with love, connection and therefore we need to correct our own nature. As much as we disagree with the Creator on each and every step, it is because the Creator is increasing within us our sensitivity and then we see the world as even more corrupted and we seemingly run to correct ourselves and the relation between us and once again we see the world even more corrupted, because he is increasing our sensitivity to the will to receive and as much as the will to receive seems to us worse every time. This is for us to reach correction. The correct attitude towards reality is first of all, the correct attitude.
4. S. (24:24) You said preparation for the lesson is everything we have to do and increase the importance of the goal in the 10’s. What is the greatness of the goal, is it possible to analyze our situations in the 10 in order to see whether we have the importance and how at the end of the day can we evaluate? Did we reach the importance of the gold due to our actions inside the 10 or did we remain in the same state?
R. We were given an opportunity not to correct the world, but to correct the 10, which is like the correction of the entire vessel of Adam and we need to correct it. Forget about the whole world, whatever you want, it doesn't matter. You have before you a model, a template, you have your group. Make of it as much as you are capable and even beyond your ability a structure, a template, a system, a complete Partzuf which was before existing the shattering of the vessels, this is what we have to do, not more. Look what happens and how much we reached the states that are right next to us, and if we will try to do this in whatever is given to us, what is right here before us. We will understand the form of this small structure, this model and from this we will understand the entire structure of the world. The general world including all of the worlds of the Creator who is operating in it, of humanity who was also in it. We will be able to understand everything from the 10. Because when we delve into the 10 we will start to recognize that the whole world is there and all of the worlds. The Creator, us, everyone, is why we have no more than to search for the connection in the 10 and in the 10 to discover all of the forces of the lower and upper nature, all of them until the end of correction.
5. S. (27:08) It is very hard to keep the importance of the goal for the entire 10, what is the most significant difference between where only one person in the 10 feels the importance of the goal or the entire 10 feels it together?
R. We need to reach a state where whatever one fills in the 10 the entire 10 feels it. I am pressuring everyone to accept my view my perspective but rather as much as we can, each one of us increases the importance of the goal but I don't even have to talk about it but rather when I am connected with the friends, they feel that this is how it is for me. They also feel how much I am acting and how much I am truly working. Acting is also good because I want it to be this way, if I can’t, at least I want to and this also helps in spirituality because everything follows the desire. The most important is to act, more and more to act, each one towards the other in the importance of the goal in our connection. Do not to forget, by correcting the vessel of Adam that was broken, is the only thing we need.
6. S. (29:12) During Pesach we made Pharaoh, this negative force between us, very sharp and tangible but this other force the Creator, the positive force, it is still very uncertain and up in the air. How can we make it more tangible between us? What the Creator is, who this force is?
R. The Creator is the opposite of Pharaoh. He represents Pharaoh towards us, he doesn't represent himself. He is hidden and he says, come unto Pharaoh. I have hardened his heart and I am representing him to you in such a way. He says to Moses that you should go to him and Moses is afraid. The Creator says no we will go together, let's go. Later he says go to Pharaoh. We need to understand how much the Creator is playing with us through our ego, through our will to receive, our perception of reality, that is false and is all in order to teach us. Because we attained each and everything from its opposite and therefore, we have to get to know in such a way the truth from the lie. This is the entire difference between a grown-up and a little child who gets whatever he gets, what sweet for him he takes it, what he's afraid of he runs away from and a grown-up relates to things differently through his mind, through his experience he takes the whole perception of reality through it and then he makes up his mind how to relate to it and how to take the step forward, and it is important for us now. It is interesting that I get every day a few messages where people are telling me I don't know what to do, suddenly I feel that I don't know where I am, but nothing is clear to me, look at the world, look at the people who are living in it and what is clear to them where they are. It is as if this person who is now emailing me was taken out of a clear nice good state that he was in where he was in control of his life and everything was working fine, yet he had nothing but rather to the contrary the Creator is now awakening in him in the state that he is in with doubts and difficulties in order for him to want to accept an assent through connection with the friends with faith above reason he will get a hold of the first spiritual degree.
S. (32:49) Trying to get something from the Pharaoh and give the exact opposite to the friends is this what we're trying to achieve?
R. Precisely, we learn from Pharaoh. Pharaoh advances us so much so that we come out of Egypt, we come out of the Exile, from corporeality to spirituality and Pharaoh does all of this. This is why we need to understand this game of our ego, the evil inclination that it is a help made against one. The Creator says, I created help opposite me so that he will help me. I cannot be revealed to you otherwise you would already be in spirituality, you would simply get it not with your vessels but with mine. What would you get out of that? But rather that I want you to grow bit by bit gradually as we teach our children in order for them to understand things from the smallest state and then more and more with greater understanding and all of the advanced states up to the great states and would be able to control them, understanding their inner essence. This is how we will advance, therefore we need to understand that these two forces, the bad and the good is also the Creator, who is arranging them before us so that we would not run away from the bad but rather that we will work with it through the good force and in that way advance. Try to be in control of these two forces, hold on to the bad not running away from it, don't reject it but rather against it to position the good force, the Creator and see how these two forces, we can advance bit by bit and have a standing with both of them like standing on two feet.
7. S. (35:39) There is a sensation that is very intense and beautiful after this period of Pesach. There is a kind of an emptiness, a kind of vacuum. In our 10 all of the systems are in order, the meetings, the prayer, what can we do in the most effective way to feel this emptiness with the Romemut of the Creator?
R. We need to scrutinize what we are lacking is the force of connection and love. The Connection can come not from our side, from our side there can only be a deficiency for the lack of connection, the force of connection itself and the fulfillment of the connection comes from above and then we will have Partzuf between us. This Partzuf will be the template of the whole of reality, in this template we will be able to see the whole of reality, all of the worlds, ourselves in their center, everything, all of the souls helping us to exist and reach more and more into the center of reality. We need to see everything in this way but is all through more establishing the 10 and of course against that, we will receive rejections from connection, doubts and all kinds of other things, what the Kabbalists write about in their articles, there is nothing new here. You will begin to see from where all of the religions were born, the different faiths, philosophies, approaches to life, how much they were born out of this incorrect search for the essence of creation. That it is all out of incorrect connections between people that emerged in a primitive form thousands of years ago, all kinds of foundations and later on the religion, from the wisdom of Kabbalah when there was the decline of two religions and later on into all kinds of philosophies that are more modern.
S. Is this a point where we take more of the world on our shoulders, like more in our intention and feeling?
R. For us first of all now it is about revealing the Creator in the center of the 10 so that we will have the right foundation and to discover the force of bestowal, the force of connection and to advance. Let’s not think about the whole world or something else, but rather discover the upper force, the force of bestowal, the other force that exists in nature. so that our entire ego, the corporeal force exists only in order to aim us to the opposite force, the spiritual force, the force of bestowal and this is what we need to reach.
8. S. (40:16) There are many friends who have important roles in dissemination and organizing matters, but they don't participate in the 10s meetings. Sometimes they're absent from the lessons. What can we do in order to help these friends strengthen the connection inside the 10?
R. Don't pressure them. There are people who come closer to corrections through whatever is convenient for them, easy for them, closer to them according to their character. There are people who come and get into fixing our materials, translating, in our center. They do all kinds of fixing of all kinds of devices so each one sees himself in whatever way he can be connected with things that he knows how to do and this is how we see these people also in the groups. We need to give them this place, let's do it and bit by bit they will get deeper in, but in the meantime, they are doing correct and good work even though it may not be the most central one but through this they come closer. Each and every one of us inadvertently, nevertheless, catches himself in the states, where you understand it is a better feeling, more secure. But these are our egoistic natures and there's nothing that can be done about it. We are built to give each one time, even years, until a person, bit by bit through these engagements the wisdom of Kabbalah but in the peripheral manners not the central ones, nevertheless he gets an illumination from above and in that way he will advance. It will come and also, we shouldn't pressure anyone. A person is, they're taking part somehow and let it be. We just have to make certain that he won't start to drift away. We are also in such states where there isn't so much work to go away to of course one can go to corporeality getting into all kinds of problems or debt or things and bury himself there until the end of his life, this is true. But what can you do? We have to guard ourselves, if a person makes up his mind, we should respect it and let him go wherever he wants.
9. S. (43:46) In order to advance in the 10 correctly toward the correction, do we have to come, all the friends meeting, act equally? Or each time a different group of friends that is closer to us or advancing, and then there are those that are more distant?
R. Are you talking about the connection between the groups or in the 10?
S. In the 10.
R. In the 10, it's to be in the circle but of course everyone by their own character desires a personal situation in each and every given state has a different attitude towards others and this is something that we can't determine. We just have to take care of the general atmosphere.
10. S. (44:48) Yesterday after the meeting of the ten one of the friends decided he's leaving our circle and in addition to praying to the Creator that he will connect us and keep everyone in the circle what else can we do?
R. What is he claiming?
S. He is disappointed with the ten even though there was connection and he was taking part.
R. This is what he personally feels about the 10 or his general feeling about the entire path?
S. I would say the ten.
R. So the 10 has to think where is it okay and where is it not, I suppose maybe he is right so what can we do? Maybe after all of these discussions we come to a decision, we come to a conclusion that we can't change but in the meantime this is who we are and we can't do what he is demanding of us even though we would like to do it but his demand is exaggerated and also on our part in the way that he is approaching us with criticism, where we to come to him with such criticism that we need to see what Baal HaSulam advises us to do. What does Rabash say about the relations inside society? How are you supposed to relate to society and friends, this is the main thing but more important is does he have a desire to reach the purpose of life or does he simply want to flow with the currents of life as it is written.
S. He does have the importance of the goal.
R. How does he want to reach it?
S. That's the question, how to make him stay connected to us?
R. I'm not asking how to cause him not that you're supposed to do it but how does he think to reach the goal, if you are saying that he has the goal, how is it possible that he leaves the 10 and how does he think about reaching the goal he should give an account to himself whether he is interested all together I'm not understanding where is he and where are you. He has to know where he is or this is how he felt yesterday that the Creator let him feel, showed him how not in control of himself he is and that this is something that happens to everyone and that in that very moment that he wants to run away from everything like a baby that he wants to slip back into the womb. A few moments later the Creator no longer gives him that feeling but replaces it and again he goes out into the air of the world starting to see that he has no other way to advance. If he really follows the correct heart and mind then it is only by being in the 10 and realizing the system of Adam. Look at yourselves, you have no idea where you are and where he is. It is possible that description will help both you and him.
S. What can we do as what he said about his scrutiny is clear but what should we do?
R. Probably he so does not see that he can advance towards the spiritual goal among you while he is in your group, maybe this is what he thinks that you don't suit him for reaching the goal and this is why he is leaving you that maybe he wants to enter another 10 that he imagines that their things are better. That this will better advance him. There is a 10 like a chariot with horses and there is a 10 that is like a train and there is a 10 that is like an airplane or a missile, but if you think that you are more suited for some other 10 then you really have to show that that is how it is. If you really prepare yourself that way then you discover that your 10 is actually the one that suits you the best and that advancement depends upon you like with Rabbi Yossi Ben Kisma. This is the example that gives us. That everything depends not on man but on the measure to which he accepts and appreciates his environment. There is no good or bad environment as a bad environment is one that is against advancement but if it is in favor then it doesn't matter to what measure does it understand and disoriented, it is the Creator who was guiding them and in them.
11. S. (51:32) One time we learned that our goal is to discover the Creator in the 10 and another time we learn it is to give contentment to the Creator what is the difference between the two and what is the goal?
R. There is no difference this is the action and this is the result, the consequence to build the 10 in order to bestow to the Creator through it to give him contentment or to reveal him in the 10 according to the equivalence the form between in a 10 in the Creator is one in the same. It is the action and the results.
12. S. (52:19) In order to advance in our connection in the 10 do we need to understand the forces of nature, will we understand this in the presence of the friends or we understand it in a special revelation of how to work with it?
R. I can't understand the friends and how the forces of nature act on them. How can you have such abilities that you asked about these things? How can you see something like that as you don't have it? The only thing you have are several actions that you can perform on yourself, to receive or to give to the friends and through them to the Creator this is the only thing that you are capable of. Not that you are going to inquire now about the friends in the desires and the thoughts and their actions. This is completely incorrect.
13. S. (54:02) What to do if a person grows weaker and he cannot no longer advance on the path of the ego with the fuel that was moving in him in the first years?
R. Every time we have to change to understand the goal as more spiritual, ideal of bestowal giving, connection for it to every time seems to me as more related to spiritual qualities and by that surely on part of my ego, I grow weak and if I scrutinize this, criticize this with my intellect then I understand this actually brings me closer to the Creator so this is how I advance. I always have this scrutiny, criticism, calculation from both sides of how distant it is from my ego, from my gut and closer to the Creator, between Malchut and Bina.
S. It seemingly turns out that my belly is full. There is no fulfilment meaning there is no fulfilment in the ego once we truly start to walk on the path.
R. Fulfillment for the ego on the way, no.
S. What is the fulfillment?
R. That I am closer to the qualities of the Creator that I am closer to the Creator's qualities. That only in this way can I advance.
S. Where do you get the qualities of the Creator?
R. Fuel from the environment.
S. What is the fuel that should be given?
R. Importance to rise above the ego is now our first degree to tear ourselves to disconnect ourselves from this world and to cleave ourselves into the spiritual world. We can't do it but we need to somehow participate in this action that is coming to us from the upper light, from the Creator as he helps us, some more and some less to be free of our will to receive. This is something that happens for several years and is the greatest and most important degree, worst, to disconnect from the will to receive and to attribute yourself to the will to bestow, to associate yourself with it on the very first degree. Later we will reach more rapid states and easier ones.
S. So in this process of disconnection seemingly on one hand you feel that you are becoming less and less purposeful?
R. You are given an opportunity here to strengthen the goal not that you're becoming purposeful because who and what are you? It all depends upon the illumination that you have upon you accordingly you determine whether I'm connected or not and if you are less related to the goals and now you are given the opportunity to connect more precisely through your effort.
S. Clear so what does it mean to make the goal stronger?
R. To strengthen the goal means in the connection between the friends that if you do not reach the stage where you are lost without society then you still have no recognition of evil then and that the true recognition of evil is that without society, without a society I immediately fall from my entire connection to spirituality with the Creator, but I have to hold them inside the heart, inside my belly here inside and if I don't hold them inside then I have no foundation. I have no point of contact with spirituality.
S. This is very conspicuous that out of the 10 you can get fuel and forces and that from them the fulfillment comes from them, but I don't know how to extract this fuel, I don't imagine to be influenced by them.
R. You are not subjected enough to them.
S. I don't know what to do about that.
R. What do you do? To try and feel how dependent upon them you really are it also depends upon the extent to which you think about it, you scrutinize You know that without the society I am nothing that I have no vessel because my vessel is in society, in you and if I disconnect from society, I become a philosopher not a Kabbalist because I have no vessel, as simple as that. Then what follows is how important society really is, that each and every day I have to raise the importance of the environment in me again and again.
S. When a person is hanging in the air how do you move forward?
R. For better or for worse?
S. He doesn't have any good or bad it's obviously bad it's not connected he's not going forward he wants to go back to his cave, to retreat so how does he advance in such a state where the 10 doesn't shine because you're saying to subjugate yourself before society and become immersed there but it doesn't tempt him?
R. We are in the corporeal world in the mechanical world where I can always go into the 10 either physically or virtually through different gadgets connected with them to get an impression from them to open the archive that I can read and listen to some lesson, to awaken myself.
S. Emotionally the person feels empty inside.
R. Through that I will fulfil myself as I have to escape to society, to enter it like a baby enters his mom that he runs to his mom and for him that is everything like the baby comes to the mother as we have nothing else.
