Ibur [Impregnation] and Yenika [Nursing], #12

1. R. (00:28) That is the topic we are in and we can’t let it go because until we achieve it, it is something that is necessary for us so let us continue. This is what we have to keep coming back to. I'm asking you to read these excerpts during the day whenever you have even just a few minutes. Some excerpts from this collection of excerpts, please read them and keep renewing it.

Excerpt 12 (01:06) Letter 65 Twice

2. R. (04:25) There is a term that I always lose during the work called that all his desires will be for the Creator and not for his own sake. What does this mean?

R. When you think only about him and not about yourself as if you disappear and what is for the benefit of the Creator, this is what you do. That’s it.

S. What disappears? I don't know what the Creator, what he wants?

R. This is what you need to study. If not the Creator, then the 10, very simple. Work only on that.

3. S. (05:12) What does it mean for us to work for the glory of the heavens?

R. The glory of heaven is when we raise the greatness of the Creator above everything else that is important that we can imagine. That’s it. I am the first, I am the last and in between the first and last, I am everywhere and there is nothing besides me. This is called the glory of heaven that’s at least in potential. Afterwards in terms of the essence that he is the good who does good to the good and to the bad, there are many discernments in this. All of this is called the glory of Heaven.

4. S. (06:12) (no translation from Russia)

R. Whatever is for the sake of the Creator for the sake of the unity of the Creator, the uniqueness of the Creator in the world, this is what I prefer. This is called getting closer to the truth. That’s it. We are not talking about our corporeal life because that could confuse us. We are talking only about how we relate to the group and to spiritual matters. I always have to prefer the Creator to be the upper one who is good that does good, and there is none else besides him, and he fills all of reality, all of those things I want to constantly be above me as the most important things. Because it’s really so. We haven't discovered it but we are on the way to discovering it.

5. S. (07:57) We are always supposedly fighting for our desires to be for the Creator. And every time we come closer more desires come. So how can we really get that complete decision to devote all of our desires only for the Creator?

R. As much as we can connect among us in every single state and decide that we really want to work together to bestow upon the Creator, this is the truth. Are there other degrees, higher ones? Of course, more will be revealed, so what? Whenever we are rewarded with it, they'll be revealed, but first they will be revealed as disturbances and we will have to unite above them and again turn to the Creator.

S. So that decision is collective of the whole 10?

R. It can be for the 10 on one hand because we are not constantly connected, but ideally, we want to at least once a day or twice a day talk among us about how we want to connect. It's clear to us but still we want to remind each other that we need to be connected in practice in our desires and thoughts between us and the Creator. This is our vessel.

6. S. (10:03) What does it mean to give to the Creator?

R. What does it mean to give to the Creator? It is written about it if you’re right what will you give him. What can I give to the Creator as he doesn't need anything. The Creator can receive from us a good relation to the extent that we agree with his relation to us. What he wants from us is connection, incorporation and adhesion with him. If we are on the way toward it, it is regarded as bringing him contentment.

S. (no translation)

R. Of course, pray and ask.

7. S. (11:11) Why is it called a complete prayer? Does that mean praying to change the intention in order to bestow?

R. Yes, a complete prayer, there are many conditions for it, but at least it should be a prayer to change the intention to become in order to bestow.

8. S. (11:44) What does it mean to ask the Creator to give a desire to relinquish everything?

R. To ask the Creator not to erase desires and qualities in a person but only that the Creator will be higher than anything in my eyes. And then precisely by feeling this way, that I have this ladder where the Creator is the highest, and everything else is lower, then by the rest of qualities and discernments and incidents I can bring contentment to the Creator. I can bestow upon him. I have to build in me this ladder where the Creator is the top, the crown, above everyone and everything.

9. S. (13:01) What connection should we have between us in the 10 in order to feel what the creator wants and thinks?

R. We are learning together the same material and we are all pretty much incorporated in the same intention and the same states, we just have to be more connected to one another, each one should understand that he must include everyone within him, all of the friends and raise them all together to the Creator and he is responsible for the mutual guarantee and likewise each one in the 10 and this way we will very quickly come to connection between us and the Creator until the end of correction.

10. S. (14:25) What connection should we have between us in the ten in order to feel what the friends want and think?

R. We’re learning together the same material and we’re all pretty much incorporated in the same intention, the same states. We just have to be more connected to one another. Each one should understand that he must include everyone within him, all the friends, and raise them all together to the Creator. He is responsible for it, for Arvut, for mutual responsibility. And likewise, each one in the ten. In this way we will very quickly come to connection between us and with the Creator. And that’s until the end of correction.

Excerpt 13 RABASH, Article No. 31 (1986), "Concerning Yenika [Nursing] and Ibur [Impregnation]"

(14:32) Twice

11. S. (15:44) Early in the lesson you said that with due time in the work the importance gets bigger to serve the friends more than the Creator. How can we connect it that serving the King is actually serving the friends?

R. Initially we yearn for the Creator in all kinds of ways, egoistic or otherwise seemingly in order to bestow, but it is all because we hang our success on him. When a person advances towards the restriction, he doesn't care about his own personal success, and he begins to shift more and more to the side of bestowal; he hasn't quite achieved bestowal yet but he already begins to taste what is bestowal. Accordingly, he comes to states where the friends become important to him, and here is the point. Who is more important, the person, or the friends, or the Creator? And then it turns out that if a person truly yearns for bestowal, then he doesn't yearn for the Creator. Certainly not for himself, but for the friends. Because he sees this as the right address for his bestowal. And that’s how he advances, that’s how he becomes concerned with connection. Connection becomes to him as the mandatory, only, important thing. And he goes through such states, they promote him tremendously. We should go through these states and feel them as thoroughly as possible and within these states, inside the group, not outside of it but inside the group, which he determines as the main thing, as Rabash writes, that there is nothing but the friends. Within that group there he finds himself and the Creator. Then he begins to establish, to position things correctly. Everything falls into place, where the group is the atmosphere, the field that the Lord has blessed. There he finds everything. Nothing comes out beyond the boundaries of the group, which is the Shechina, divinity.

12. S. (19:08) What does it mean to appreciate a small service in spirituality?

R. To the extent that I love those who are in front of me, the group or the Creator, accordingly I yearn to add as much as I can I bestow upon him and I look by what. That’s it, just like a baby. If you can add a little more, we add, add a little more. It all depends on how much you appreciate it in our eyes.

S. Why is it a small service if it's as important and as big in my eyes?

R. Yes but the service itself what can it be? You may be doing great things, for you it’s a great thing, but basically it is a small service.

S. Then he says that I have to increase it even more to keep increasing it until we reach a place where you can't appreciate his greatness.

R. Yes if you do it for the Creator, then it all depends on how much you exalt your relation to the Creator. And then you come to a state where you can complete your whole correction here. Because then you need to exalt the 10 and then exalt the Creator and the relation between them. And how you take the strength and energy from the 10, the power from the 10, and the inspiration from the 10 and shift it to the Creator. And then Israel, the Torah and the Creator become one. Everything is together.

Excerpt 14 (21:20) RABA SH, Article No. 31 (1986), "Concerning Yenika [Nursing] and Ibur [Impregnation]"

13. R. (22:37) What wholeness can we give in a state where he feels that he is suffering? There really is suffering. We know that an embryo, the fetus goes through very difficult states. It’s not paradise. The womb is very close to the grave. It is very complicated, not a simple state. We also see with ourselves when we want to enter the spiritual womb and our will to receive feels it as a grave that it is being killed and buried in. That’s the way it is. We have to see both to the depicting force which depends on the level of our inspiration and closeness to the group, so we will grow everyone together, and the detaining force so there is no spoiling, no corruption; when we suddenly feel that it is as if we are going into a world of darkness instead of an illuminated world. In these times when we develop, we are preparing ourselves for the spiritual light instead of the corporeal light. And we must develop a deficiency specifically for the spiritual light, for the light of bestowal. This is why we go through the nine months of pregnancy until in each and every quality we establish a deficiency for the light, for the spiritual light, for the light of bestowal. That this is what I want. I want to live in the quality of bestowal. I want to develop the quality of bestowal. And I want the deficiency for bestowal to constantly live in me, just as now I want to live in my life, to breathe, to see, to feel, all those things. This is what I need during the months of pregnancy in the mother's womb. I need to develop my deficiencies for the world of bestowal. Where when I shift through the mother's womb, I shift from this world through the mother's uterus into the spiritual world. In other words, I have to switch in me, to change in me many states, qualities, discernments, values and then I will be ready for birth.

Excerpt 14 reads again (26:15)

14. R. It sustains it and doesn't let it become spoiled in the state that it already has.

Reader continues: “the second is the detaining force to prevent miscarriage….”

15. R. (27:46) In other words he sees more and more that the closer that he comes to birth the qualities that he must acquire are opposite from him, how can he stand them, how can he accept them, he doesn't want them and he is still with a seemingly egoistic disposition so he has to take upon himself new forms. This is what he is saying that we need the strength to hang on when he feels deficiency. I don't want to, I can't accept these qualities of bestowing upon myself because the deficiency means that it pains me that I'm still incomplete but on one hand he sees that these things need to happen but that I myself with my very soul, I don't want them. It is known that it is hard to tolerate suffering, if he sees no end to the suffering then he escapes the campaign and it follows that we must give him a wholeness so that he can hold on and not escape the war of the inclination. He receives everything from above and then he goes to all of these states that there are many states in this, where we have to maintain a person. He will first forcefully and coercively and then willingly advance towards a state where he acquires the ability to go out to the illuminated world, meaning to be born.

16. S. (29:54) Where it says we must give him completeness, is this the group work and also what is completeness is this an emotion?

R. It is the work of the group because we are already born in a mutual force, no one can disconnect from the other because when you disconnect, everything disconnects so then we need to understand that from there we are as one vessel.

17. S. (30:44) What keeps our mood in joy when we suffer as we enter conception?

R. Of course the greatness of the goal, the Creator, the group and the teacher that we can bring them against the state where we suffer in. This suffering is subjective as it is individual, if you start seeing it from the other side so it is not suffering, but that it is coming closer to the force of bestowing, to the Creator that for now you can't stand it of course. So, it is very nice that I am coming closer to the Creator, the fact that I can't stand it, that is the truth as it is a sign that I am coming close in the right way.

18. S. (31:59) Are the sufferings that he feels only emotional sufferings or do corporeal sufferings lead to these discernments?

R. No, in a case like you are presenting no.

19. S. (33:27) Regarding the depicting of the detaining force, the depicting force is a form within a form meaning he gives the inclination to bestow but at the same time his ego awakens. Previously I thought the detaining force was what inhibits that as well but according to what we read it is a force that helps us not escape from the campaign. Can you explain this?

R. No because these things we will still have to study during the conception in part nine of TES. We can't just study it like this, no, for now hold yourself.

20. S. (34:31) You said that during the impregnation there is suffering and there is something internal that makes you agree with the suffering?

R. It all depends upon importance. Of course, look at a woman when she gives birth and there are problems and pain, burdening, but you gave birth, she has a child and now she wants another one. If you weigh how much she has to go through with all the trouble and suffering, it doesn't matter, she wants another one. When we men look at what a woman goes through it seems to us well, once it happened by mistake but to do it for the second time? But you see this is still that there is a force that pushes us forward and we still prefer to keep going and this is how it is in spirituality. We will go, don't worry as it will happen.
