Perception of Reality - Selected Excerpts from the Sources

1. Rav’s Introduction: Yes, this is a very very important topic everybody is curious about even those who do not belong to the wisdom. They all ask, you can even see that little children have the same question, in what world am I living in, what is happening to the world, I want to explore it, to feel it, understand it, the reality that I exist in. This is natural because we are living in it, however this is not enough that we want to feel we want to understand. We want to unite with the reality we exist in. Instead we need to understand that the perception of reality is divided into what is revealed and what is concealed. What is revealed to us in our senses which we are born with and which we develop, this is the smallest desire to receive and even it is not enough. Throughout life we develop, there is the desire to receive that is growing naturally and in that also there are many more degrees and possibilities to make it greater. However it is clear that according to the magnitude of the desire to receive this is how we perceive reality.

Here our desire to receive is actually good. This is the difference between the still, vegetative, animate and people that the more the desire to receive of each degree out of those degrees is greater, so that the created being that exist in it receives and understands and feels the reality in which it lives and the it reaches development, the development which is called Adam, man or speaking and then he begins to feel that he is standing opposite to something that he is no longer able to grasp in his vessels, in his vessels of perception. Understanding is something that is secondary in its importance. It awakens only in order to explain our sensations. Sensing, feeling is our great problem because here we have to prepare our vessels. What is received in those vessels in the desire to receive this is how we will feel in what reality we exist in.

This is also clear to us out of our existence in this world. That the greater the desire to receive the more we understand and perceive and feel and our growing and therefore we always also care about our children, how to develop them and how to bring to them all kinds of things that causes development for them. We are constantly concerned for the next generation how developed it will be so it will not be closed into its desire to receive but most importantly through what can I develop the desire so it would be greater, broader so that it will want more and then whatever enters into the desire to receive, whatever is included in it, whatever the desire to receive feels, it is concerned that it is discovering reality.

Beyond that there is the research of that reality, however they cannot see let's say if we do not have the sense of sight for example then what's good, we do. Then it is impossible to explain to that person what sight is. And it is the same with the other senses as well and this is why we will read something about the perception reality, of physical reality and spiritual reality and we will understand what the relation between the physical perception and spiritual perception is and how we can develop our perception because indeed this is the first drive that we get and this is what brings us to the wisdom. It is the same reason for which many people come to the wisdom in our time because the desire to receive is developing and it requests from us to feel, to understand, to discover the world we live in.

There are different periods in this, periods in which we develop the vessels for the perception of reality. There are periods when we are drawn more to discover reality out of ourselves, and this is how we see this also if we look at history of mankind then we can discover something very special that there is a period of time when the vessels develop and there is a time when we later on learn what it is that we perceive in these vessels and how we can improve and change them. Without doubt first we need to feel how much we do not understand, we are not aware, we do not feel that we have some inside of us in our perception that we do not know what it is. Then we begin to develop vessels or tools for it like geometry, mathematics and all kinds of technical sciences like physics, chemistry, biology and then we begin to progress towards understanding what it is that we perceive but first of all there has to be some problem with our senses that something is there but it is not understood and it is attracting us but where and how we do not know. This already induces scientific development so there are these two periods of time; the emotional perception and we do not know what it is but there is a question and the later on the intellectual development, to understand what we feel or what we should feel these two periods of time actually exist in the development of mankind.

We will talk about it but at the moment let's go to the writings and see what they write in truth about all of these things. Some are understood, we can understand them from our life, some of them we will talk about and develop them and see. The most important is to reach the development of a deficiency for the spiritual perception. There is a beginning for the spiritual perception when something is revealed in us which is called the point in the heart, a deficiency for the recognition of the upper world, the next degree above us that exist truly in contact with our perception however we do not truly feel this we do not identify it, we do not recognize it instead only in such a form, that how shall I put it more correctly, that it is not on the degree of coarseness in our senses but only as contact from afar. Then we need to bring to it our qualities so that they would be ready for the actual perception of that spiritual degree that we have ahead of us in front of. This is why we connect in the group according to the recommendation of the Kabbalists and build the vessel for spiritual perception.

It is impossible that this perception will come to us in the vessels that we have now. We have to prepare new vessels for every new degree has to have its own perception. And the difference between the degrees is that the degrees of still, vegetative and animate when we are in the perception of this world, we can discover them through our five physical senses sight, hearing, tasting, smelling and touch and the spiritual degree not anymore. We have to add to it additional vessels and this is already a vessel which works in bestowal in addition to the vessel which works in the quality of reception. One does not cancel the other but we build one on the top of the other, above the other and this is how we come closer and enter the perception of the upper world.

We can talk a lot about it but we have something before us and we have more to say about it later but what I do want is that today specifically during this lesson about perception of reality that we have more workshops because it is very important. As much as we connect between us and talk between us, we pass the mind and emotion from one to the other and by this specifically we build the correct vessel for enlarging our perception of reality, so let's start reading.

2. R. This means that everything is incorporated in man. Everything was given to man, everything is only for man. Actually the reality in which we exist, all of it is organized and directed in such a way that it will develop us into a state where we will be able to understand and feel reality, all of it. This is how we can progress this way.

3. S. (15:57) Even though everything was made for man, what is the role of the friends here, seemingly outside of the person?

R. Adam means the ten, not a single individual. As an individual we cannot attain anything but only when the person above his selfish ego about his desire tries to connect with others and along with connecting with others, he discovers that he is not capable of doing that. The Creator made it like that, he prepared this deliberately, purposefully so we would also need him. Then according to our urgency the Creator arranges the ten in such a way that we ask from him, we request from him that he will connect us, make the connection between us into a complete vessel. That vessel can be as it says that the minimum of many is two or it can be ten. In truth it could be even million it does not matter. Later on they will come and join and mix and mingle and incorporate in the vessel of Adam but it is impossible that a single person will rise above the degrees of still, vegetative and animate to the degree of speaking, meaning to be similar to the Creator if he does not connect to others. Specifically on the animal degree, that animal degree which is going towards connecting with others it is called Adam which means that any one of us, no, but only all of us together from the group and onward we will be called Adam.

S. (18:36) But each one in the ten gets this ten and perceives the ten in his own way.

R. Specifically above all the differences and contrast in our perception, in our feeling in all kinds of qualities, if we want to be in connection with all the differences that we have between us and all with all the disturbances we have, as it says love covers all crimes. If we nevertheless want to connect above these changes if we take these changes inside our connection then through these connections, we achieve both the Aviut, coarseness the contradictions between us and also when the dress it into our connection this is how we end up with both the resistance between us and also the connection between us together. This is considered that the power of the vessels that we prepare for the reception of the Creator. And in the gap between these two contrasting parts which is the coarseness and the refinement we begin to understand and feel the Creator; these are two conditions, the coarseness and refinement we begin to understand, to feel the Creator. These are two conditions, the coarseness and refinement and the tension between them, the contrast between them, this is actually what we need in order to discover the Creator. All of the degrees from 0 to 125 degrees, we discover them only according to how much we operate to increase the coarseness meaning the contradiction between connection and separation and in the gap between then we measure our vessel for the spiritual perception, for the construction of the Creator as he says you have made me. How can we depict the Creator? Specifically in between these two contradictions, the two opposites.

4. S. (21:28) What does this sentence mean, that the Creator formed men with a full name?

R. with a full name meaning the desire to receive that the Creator created in a way that there is nothing that you can add to it. The desire to receive is ready for its role. It can take on a form from which the created being that exists in the desire to receive can get to know the Creator. He will be able to attach to him and resemble him truly. This is called with a full name which means that he gave the desire to receive all the qualities and all the possibilities so that men would reach the degree of godliness. Is there anything about this? It seems that there might be but the goal that we need to reach is to be the collective Adam.

5. S. (22:50) A moment ago you talked about the gap between the coarseness that is made by our constant search for connection and the connection itself. This is why to the extent that we exert in the work of connection we also discover the mechanism the Creator uses in order to be revealed, this condition that we call, is this the condition that we call the 125 degrees?

R. Yes on each and every degree we try to make a certain partial balance between the coarseness and the refinement or in other words in which degree of our desire to receive we can resemble the desire to bestow. Then the Creator is revealed in the desire to bestow that we build out of the desire to receive as it says you have made me. What does it mean to make the Creator? We arrange the desire to receive in such a way that it seems as if it was bestowing and, in this form, they call it Boreh, Creator, come and see. And in this form, we discover him, just like we discover all the phenomena even on the level of the physical world. We do not discover nature itself, we discover certain phenomena in those instruments, in those conditions, in those incidents that we established and out of that we get a certain impression from nature, from the environment. This is how we do this therefore it says you have made me because we all-in-all get an impression from reality, the general reality only according to our vessels, according to how much we build these vessels which are called the ten Sefirot and we research them we feel phenomena in them. What we feel in the ten Sefirot is called the Creator. This is why without us connecting, we do not have that skeleton in which we can feel the upper force.

S. (26:14) What I want to understand better is our mistake about the selfish ego makes us do that we all revalue the negative feelings and that doesn’t let us progress but it to the extent I decide to connect to the friends I start to understand the whole plan of the Creator or the reason for which he invented coarseness and all the conditions that we can solve this together and do this revelation this great thing by the Creator, is this correct?

R. Yes you can think so.

6. S. (27:10) According to what he writes here, he writes that the upper world which is the desire to bestow and the lower world which is the desire to receive. So what new reality is there? It seems to be a collision.

R. Outside of men there is no collision. We have this world and that world and between them some collision, it all happens inside of us. Outside of us there is nothing. Everything exists inside the desire to receive to the extent your desire to receive develops, you begin to discover that you are living in a certain reality which is now broader and larger. Seemingly it develops, it is becoming revealed but it is not that something it is revealed rather from within you start to discover reality in a more broad manor in a way that it is, well it is more broad.

S. (28:26) So basically what is the role of the friends? To connect the two worlds?

R. I am just talking about the person that is in this world. This is how out of the desire to receive that grows in us, this is how we discover this world on the face of the Earth and the little bit higher than Earth, in the stars and all kinds of things we discover it according to our desire to receive that opens up. What does it mean, our history, all the development, evolution. It is through our internal desire to receive we begin to discover inside this desire new phenomena and we call this phenomenon the planet Earth and the nearby universe and the galaxies and more and more but this all refers to the desire to receive, our desire receive that develops it expanse and according to that we discover what is inside the desire to receive inside the physical desire to receive. There are people in whom there is a deficiency, a lack is revealed, to discover, to feel whatever exists outside of the physical desire to receive.

S. (30:01) So the wisdom of Kabbalah should bring us a new reality.

R. Of course. What exists outside of the desire to receive with which we are born and we develop.

S. (30:14) So what is this new reality?

R. This is what exists besides what we receive inside the desire to receive which we are born in and develop and this reality is called the upper reality, the upper world and this is how we discover something else but it is on the condition that we can develop and there expands and elevate higher. That through the upper force we need to cause a development of a seemingly additional sense sometimes called the sixth sense which is the quality of bestowal.

S. (31:10) And this only happened in the connection between the friends?

R. It is happening only to develop or establish it. It is possible only by coming out of the desire to receive and this happens through connection with others.

7. S. (31:37) What does it mean that all the worlds are inside and included in man?

R. There is nothing else besides our system of the will to receive, there is nothing. There is the upper light, The Creator who fills the whole reality and that reality is also only the Creator, only the force of bestowal. We inside this force of bestowal, we exist as a will to receive which that force of bestowal has created and our whole work is to connect in a special way the force of reception with the force of bestowal. Then through changes in the force of reception which was given to us we will start to research the force of bestowal, to get closer to it, to connect to it and so on, this is our work that we have ahead of us; and this is our opportunity through changes in the force of a reception to get to know the force of bestowal which is the Creator

8. S. (33:14) What do we need to obtain from each other to obtain the true perception?

R. We need to learn through the connections between us how much there is a will to receive inside each person and how much it is possible to rise above that will to receive to the will to bestow; and how much it is possible to be above, each one above himself towards the others in the will to receive in the form of bestowal, in the inclination to bestow. Then according to how much we try in such a way to build such relations in such a form we will start to get to know reality that includes two parts, the force of reception and the force of bestowal. That's it, there is no more than that besides these two forces, there is nothing else in reality. The whole of reality includes only the Creator and created being the two of them opposites. The Creator is the will to bestow and the created being is the will to receive, so how can the created being get to know the Creator? By taking on the qualities of the Creator, the qualities of bestowal which he composes on top of the qualities of reception and accordingly we attain the Creator

9. S. (35:20) Why are the corporeal senses giving us the illusion as if there is something outside of ourselves and what is the correction for this illusion?

R. Our corporeal senses give us a feeling of the levels of the still, vegetative and animate, and on each and every degree we have a few sub-degrees. The still already starts to yearn to become vegetative. It is explained in the study of the Ten Sefirot part 3. In the inner observation there is a transition there, between the still and the vegetative which is the coral, and there is a transition between the vegetative and animate which is called the dog of the field, and there is a degree between the animate and speaking which is the ape, the monkey. Meaning the highest degree in each place also includes in it a part of the degree above it. Where does this come from? Because to begin with the Creator created the whole reality from the highest degree, from his degree, from the light and the light cascaded down building all the vessels and creating them in a way that all the vessels are interconnected like a ladder, and in the descent when there is a decline of all the degrees as we learn from Galgalta and so on. So if in Galgalta we have Dalet/Dalet the record of 4/4, so in AB we have Dalet/Gimel, 4/3 and so on. So the lower degree has its own quality. Let's say that in AB it has 3 which is AB but it also has a record from degree 4, from Galgalta. So in the development from below upward, from this world up to the world of Ein Sof in each and every degree we also have records of Hitlabshut, clothing and those records of clothing they help each degree connect and rise to the degree above it.

S. What do the degrees of the still, vegetative and animate add for us in the perception of the Creator if the vessel for the perception of the Creator is the 10?

R. We are incorporated in these degrees: still vegetative and animate, and if we did not have these degrees, we couldn’t reach the possibility to feel and discover the degree of speaking the degree of the Creator. This is why we have to work in the connection between us in the group and only this way do we reach that system in which we can discover what we call the Creator, come and see.

10. S. (39:36) He writes here that the lord God formed man with a full name. What is the full name?

R. Full name means everything the Creator wants the created being to discover in the future he has already put it into the will to receive of the created being. So if the created being will develop his will to receive to become in order to bestow then he can discover the Creator within him, on his flesh it’s called. This means that He created him with a full name. By the upper light He created all the qualities in the created being. So if the created being collects these qualities and correctly directs them to attain the Creator, he builds inside him the image of the Creator. That’s why it is called come and see.

11. S. (40:55) Why is this phenomenon that we discover standing as a wall between us?

R. So we would rise above it and for us to overcome them, to unite them to take them into account. And then specifically by them being opposite to the correct perception of reality, to the revelation of the Creator, specifically when we rise above them, from them we build the parts of the perception of reality and then we discover reality this way from negative to positive. Each and every perception in the feeling, in the understanding includes in it two parts, the negative and the positive part which connect and in the stitch of the connection between them we start attaining perfection. Attaining the perfection in all degrees from below upward is our work.

12. S. (42:25) What can we learn about the spiritual work by the fact that all the upper and lower words are incorporated in man?

R. That what we discover we will discover out of our vessels. What a person can discover in the vessel with which he is born is the degrees of still vegetative and animate. And the person who is born develops in a regular environment which is the animate level. We build houses just like any other animal, any other creature. They build dwellings for themselves and we do many things that are being used in different forms. This is not considered special or more developed, it is more sophisticated, but we are not special. In essence we are animals and you can see it every day more and more how much we are willing to settle for the animate level whereas the speaking level is called the degree of Adam from the word Domeh, resembling the Creator. And this is why we have here great work to resemble the Creator, and to the extent we can resemble Him to that extent we can understand what being in the speaking level means. How we can reach a higher state than the animate degree.

13. S. (44:50) Are the records a spiritual vessel of perception?

R. Records are data, they themselves have no independence. It’s data from states that were in the will to receive or may be revealed in the will to receive, that's all.

S. So what are spiritual vessels?

R. A desire that takes upon itself additional corrections. And by these corrections, they are called restriction, screen and reflected light, by them they can resemble the will to bestow. To the extent that he acquires the will to bestow he becomes a vessel of perception for the upper light according to the equivalence of form with the upper light. The upper light is entirely bestowal, this is the nature of the Creator, and if we discover if we establish in ourselves the quality of bestowal then by that we come to a similarity to the upper light, and then we discover it in us.

14. S. (46:43) Corporeal sight is processed by the brain, so what is the spiritual brain through which we see spiritual reality?

R. The spiritual brain is a system of communication, a special connection between the desires to receive, different ones. And this system has to organize the desires, the different desires to receive in a way that they will be a figure of the will to bestow. This is what we call Adam, the one who resembles the Creator. These desires to receive, I repeat it again, these desire to receive that can connect between themselves in a way that they support and help each other above themselves, above their will to receive; if they still nonetheless support each other somehow, this seems to be impossible, but they are asking the upper force the Creator to connect them. And specifically the connection between these egoistic desires to receive will bring this mechanism to a state that this desire becomes to bestow, it resembles the Creator.

S. The broad perception in reality seems to be that the Earth became small, it is a global village and there are infinite galaxies. So how does that translate to spiritual perception, how does it bring us closer to spiritual perception?

R. I do not think it brings us closer to spiritual perception more than discovering that there are different shapes in the different parts of reality. And just as we are learning this whole reality is only inside us. As we see the internality of what is inside of us to what extent we are very big and complex in our will to receive, nothing more than that. The truth is that as much as we try to discover the universe, we will discover how empty it is having no internal high content.

15. S. (50:16) Is there a record of the 10?

R. Of course there is. When we connect, we become one body, that’s called “as one man in one heart.” Then we have records, we have degrees, everything is already done in mutual association between us, this is how we will advance. Of course the 10 becomes one concept.

S. So different degrees of annulment in the 10, these are different degrees of the records?

R. Yes of course. Then a different kind of providence will be revealed in us by the Creator, not in respect to each and every one but to the 10. This is to the extent we connect together and we have a desire, a screen, reflected light, all kinds of actions that we’ll want to do together. And by this we start discovering the Creator before us.

16. S. (51:46) It says that all the words upper and lower are all incorporated in man. So every person has his own upper and lower worlds or are they common to everyone?

R. In the meantime I cannot explain this because it depends on the feeling and we don’t yet have this feeling of what the upper worlds and the lower worlds are, but we will discover more and more the connection between us and then we will understand more what this connection between us is and define the upper and lower worlds. It all depends on the connection between us.

S. What is special about our investigation through the 10 that is different from all the great scientists researching nature?

R. We research everything that is revealed out of the connection between us. What is revealed from the connection between us is called spirituality whereas scientists each and every one of them researches not with respect to the will to receive and what is in it, the will to bestow, but with respect to all kinds of phenomena they can identify as a result of the will to receive or the will to bestow that exists in a certain object. And then it turns out that they are not researching anything that is part of the will to receive or the phenomena between them. Meaning they don’t touch the wisdom of Kabbalah because they have no basis, no foundation to touch these discernments.

17. S. (53:55) You explained the records of clothing that is in every Partzuf from below upwards. When in a person, the point in the heart awakens, can we call this a record of clothing?

R. Of course what is pulling us up is records of clothing.

S. And this point in the heart can we call it an intermediate degree just like the monkey between the animate and the human?

R. Yes, the intermediate state is what exists between the two degrees and this state pulls us because the upper degree is something we cannot understand, but the intermediate state yes, because there is something of us in it.

S. And as we advance on that point of degree disappears?

R. What really comes instead of that is the higher degree in practice, in feeling. This is how we climb on the ladder.

18. S. (55:10) They say that the corporeal brain of the person only utilizes 3% of its capability. Does that mean anything to us or is it unrelated?

R. I do not know how much percentage, I am told different numbers but certainly we have a very high potential both in our senses and in our intellect that we can activate. And we will activate them in our spiritual work. Certainly everything that is in us is ready for the spiritual work, it is prepared for the spiritual work.

19. S. (55:57) The connection between us creates a vessel for the revelation of the Creator. When we build this vessel of bestowal by that we discover the Creator inside of this vessel? In the connection between the friends in our heart and mind?

R. Yes this is correct. The Creator is the result of the connection between us. This is why it is called come and see. As much as we can connect in mutual bestowal one to the other, the mutual bestowal we discover between us is called the Creator, come and see.

20. S. (57:38) In one of the writings it says that we do not feel reality where there is no vacant place of Him, but because we do not have a suitable device for perception. Is the 10 that device for perception where we can feel that no place is vacant of Him?

R. The 10 is a perception machine for spiritual phenomena because the 10 starts when we rise, each of us from our own personal ego, and we are incorporated in the others, in the friends. And to that extent we acquire the quality of bestowal. In the quality of bestowal what is revealed is the Creator according to equivalence of form. To the extent we hate each other and we reject each other in a way that we cannot stand each other and along with this above this we try to connect, and inside we want to kill each other as the Zohar says about the students of a Rabbi Shimon who wanted to kill each other, and along with that they try to connect in a nice, good way with each other. And this is clear to them that they hate each other and along with that it is clear to them that this is how it should be and they have to connect to each other. That there are two degrees, hatred and love. This is called love covers all crimes and only in this relation like a sandwich do we build the condition to reveal the Creator.

The Creator is revealed between the layer of hatred and the layer of love, the Creator is revealed between the two. In the hatred between them we discover the coarseness and the restriction and the screen and the reflected light and then we establish the degree above the two as we try to hold them together, and the Creator is revealed in these two things, come and see. There is hatred here and there is love, and the concept of the Creator is revealed of these two because both love and hatred are in us but when we arrange them in a way that with every hatred you have a cover of love so out of these two together the concept of the Creator, come and see is revealed. And only in this way do we reveal Him and this is why you cannot attain the Creator without revelation of hatred, and you cannot attain the Creator without revealing the Love, and everything has to be there together. The Creator is the result of the two.

21. S. (01:01:25) When the 10 will be complete each one of the parts will feel reality in the same way?

R. No, nonetheless, each one has his own vessel but all in all it will connect in this concept of the 10. Just as now we are in something. To a certain extent we attain the world and the more we connect between us still each and every one will have something of his own. But in spirituality as we connect and we attain something special then we nonetheless attain the extent of the connection between us. The connection between us, the coarseness, the restriction, mutual bestowal and then the Creator that is revealed is revealed as what is common along with each one discovering Him according to his qualities. Just as we see the general reality but each one perceives it in his personal way.

22. S. (01:02:47) Can we say that actually in the 10 a common sense is created?

R. Of course, a common sense, yes, and common sense is basically the Creator. B one for all.

23. S. (01:03:11) How do we prepare ourselves for that so we can feel and the Creator and attain the reality you described?

R. It is according to what we say that we have to make concessions to each other and love covers all crimes. By this we build the condition for the revelation of the Creator. At least to start to do that to some extent, and you will see how it works. It is there in the impression, in the excitement. Let's make an effort now and you will see that it comes to us, our vessels of perception. It is all under the condition that we restrict our desires. We don't restrict them from perception, we restrict them from the will to receive and we want to open them, all of them, we want to open our heart, so to speak.

24. S. (01:04:26) We already have a system of records that is prepared and ready for the new perception?

R. Yes, from here till Ein Sof. What we are learning in the TES and the preface to the wisdom of Kabbalah, we learn how the upper light creates the vessel bringing it down from below upwards, up to this world and later we learn how we from this world by connecting the broken vessels, how to connect them more and more so we rise to Ein Sof. So from below upward everything is done in the shattering of the spiritual process that was made from above downwards. We are all broken and what is left for us is how we raise ourselves, how we elevate ourselves from below upwards. All of these degrees already exist in the descent from above downwards and all we need to do is to climb them, and that is only possible by the ever-growing connection between us in the 10s. For men and the women, it is the same method.

25. S. (01:06:14) Why is reality built in such a way that it feels like it exists on its own, unrelated to me?

R. That is the result of the force of the shattering in us, a result of the force of the shattering. This way we feel that there is no connection between us, that I can live alone. There are people who want to have a small island, not wanting to see anyone. That is a result of the shattering and bit by bit it is pushing us to come closer to each other.

26. S. (01:07:08) How to bring the entire 10 to bestowal, to rise above the indifference of the friends and cover it with love?

R. I have no advice here about this except for awakening each other. Don't be ashamed or don't restrict yourselves, put pressure on all of the friends to be more and more in connection rather than paying attention to their response. I have to do my share. I'm not saying about myself that I am the example, but you see that every day I try to appear before you and to learn more and teach more and speak more, and it has been this way for years and years.

27. S. (01:08:16) How do we develop in the group a deficiency for the fact that our perception is incomplete in order to reach a more complete perception?

R. That is specifically when I tell the friend that I need him, that I am in the uncorrected desire and without him I can't correct my desire to be connected to aim at the Creator in the right way. This is how I even awaken the friend, by showing him what's going on with me. Without you I can't correct myself, so where are you, help me.

28. S. (01:09:00) Is it better to pressure others quietly through example or to truly demand from them?

R. Both, I can't say how but certainly demanding and putting pressure is something that we need out of love, not out of demanding forcefully.

29. S. (01:09:42) If the friends don't succeed in making concessions to each other and they are asking for the Creator but nothing moves or changes, to whom can we turn for help, other 10’s?

R. No, turning to other 10’s is not something to do. You can turn to them if you decide together in your 10 that you want and need help, but just one person from the 10 turning to a different 10, no.

30. S. (01:10:27) We constantly hear about the shattering and you are telling us that the hatred is about to be revealed, but when it happens in practice...

R. Those are the letters that I get, I get such complaints that more hatred is being revealed. Later it is gone a bit and then again hatred appears, and we learn about this, that this is the way that it should be. Still when it comes, a person is amazed. How can I study for so long and suddenly hatred appears? We don't understand that hatred when it appears is the revelation of the left line of the ladder, and we have to advance this way, and then love covers all crimes. This is how I climb. And we forget about this because we learn it intellectually, but when it comes to the emotion a person loses his intellect, he doesn't hear and doesn't know, and this is the way it should be. If you are greater than your friend your inclination is greater.

S. Every time it happens, we fall into it, so how can we cope with it?

R. Everyone, the whole group falls into this?

S. I guess so. How can we get used to accepting this process in a nice, happy way? Every time we simply fall into the shattering.

R. This comes by studying, by turning to other groups, and each one should help his friend as this is the way it should be. Also in the group you have to have people in charge that organize these things. We have to prepare the material in advance where BHS and Rabash talk about these states, and such states will come that you won't find any justification for, no justification. I tell you that this is something that is unbelievable, how can it be? Look what state we are coming to, but the students of Rabbi Shimon wanted to kill each other, do you understand? To kill! We don't have this, there is a little bit of hatred, but for them in the high degree they were in, they wanted to kill each other. It is no joke, that is the feeling that a person has, how he holds himself, and he goes through this state. He is pulling and pulling the upper light through the 10 so he comes to a state that instead, out of that, through this study, and the effort, and the connection between the friends, within a few hours he reaches love. 31. S. (01:13:55) Can we say the perception of reality changes also through ascents and descents?

32. S. (01:14:35) If there is the opposite state that we make many efforts but there is no hatred there is no feeling at all, what should we do?

R. This is a sign that you are not working. The group when it works it feels hatred love, hatred love, and the faster these states interchange and as much as the whole group goes through these states together, we feel hatred and love, darkness and light. Then here we can measure the pace of our spiritual advancement.

33. S. (01:15:21) When you say to connect nice and good you are speaking about Rabash principles?

R. Yes of course, are there different principles? I haven't seen any other spiritual principles organized this way the way Rabash organized them. Maybe they seem to us as primitive, small or not important. It seems this way to us because we don't understand and we don't feel the depth of the discernments we will discover in them.

34. S. (01:16:13) When we connect, what good are we awakening in the system and what bad are we awakening when we don't connect?

R. When we connect, we awaken all the forces of nature, both in favor and against because we want to reach a state of correction, of connection of Adam HaRishon, and by that we awaken all the forces. The main thing is to be drawn towards connection and discover in the connection, discover both coarseness and purity.

S. will we ever reach a state where we only awaken the good?

R. It is impossible to discover good without bad. Until the final correction we are going to have the good and the bad weighed equally against each other. And in the last degree where all the bad becomes good, I can also in the meantime imagine it in a way that the evil becomes revealed and on top of that revelation of evil we discover the good. It is impossible that the good will appear not out of the bad, or not on top of the bad, otherwise we won't distinguish anything good, we don’t understand that without darkness we can't see light. In the final correction one will stand against the other. There will be more discernments that I don't know that I haven't gotten to yet, but we will discover it together

35. S. (01:18:46) Should the hatred be revealed to each friend in the 10 or the whole 10 together?

R. The hatred should become revealed to each and every one and more or less to everyone as well.

36. S. (01:19:02) What determines which attitude we are going to have towards hatred or descents, what is the time on the path? Is there a difference between men and women?

R. There is a difference between men and women, I don't think it happens spiritually but only corporeally. When we rise above such discernments as I am hearing now there are different states of hatred and rejection between the women, much more than between the men. I hope they will be able to rise above that and understand that it is all games played by the Creator giving them those games. It is said that thanks to righteous women we come out of Egypt, so specifically if they will lead the Exodus from Egypt. The will to receive is drawn to go out first and in that respect the women are leading. So I truly hope that we will come out this way.

S. What is the point that determines the attitude will be right toward the hatred being revealed?

R. The attitude to the hatred that unfolds is that we will relate the bad to the Creator as well, until we kiss the stick. And in such a way we come out of Egypt, out of the bad, out of the ego, when we recognize that the feud happens by the Creator, that He makes it happen between us in order for us to rise above all of the feuds and tie ourselves together.

37. S. (01:21:22) Can the experience from the past help us?

R. No, past experience almost can't help because it is like in this life, in our life what do we really learn from the past?

38. S. (01:21:38) In prayer from one 10 to another 10 in such a state how can we do it correctly?

R. Hearing from another 10 that they are in a difficult state even without getting into it and communicating with them, it is good for us to pray for the friends, however we imagine their state. It is a good thing and very helpful and brings a lot of corrections.

39. WSQ: R. (01:25:48) One question, what each of the groups thinks that we should discuss in regard to perception of reality, connection between us. Perception of reality is a result of the connection so if we're speaking about a workshop, what workshop do they prefer on what topic? Every 10 Discuss what question we would like to discuss.

40. R. (01:30:40) Now I'm asking each 10 in whatever order, to say the question they think is important and we will hear it through the translation.

41. S. (01:31:32) Can the 10 have only one perception of reality?

R. No, of course not, but still there is something precious that they clarify that this is what’s most important for them.

42. S. (01:32:10) What does it mean to change the perception of reality?

R. To change perception of reality means to raise the Creator as the cause of all of reality, the higher level for us.

43. S. (01:32:40) What can I do in order for the whole 10 to attain that extra reality?

R. You have to be closer to the 10 and understand its question and then be incorporated with the answer as well. And if not, then ask them, what are you asking, and how to understand the answer as well. Ask, ask and don't be afraid or ashamed. The one who is shy does not learn.

44. S. (01:33:33) In what does the good connection between us develop the correct perception of reality?

R. The correct upper reality appears in our connection, the loftiest and most proper connection between us. As we connect, we create this network, the net where the spiritual reality is revealed. If there is no network then we don't feel anything, we only feel our world. Once we build the connection between us in order to bestow, which is spirituality, then according to the effort that we make, according to the forces that we put into the connection between us, according to that, we perceive a higher and higher degree of spirituality all the way through 125 degrees of its existence. There are 125 levels of attainment and these levels are called worlds from the word concealment and revelation.

45. S. (01:35:32) How do we come to the yearning to truly want to develop through deficiency for spiritual perception of reality?

R. The main thing is that I feel myself being among friends that are greater than me, and then I look at them and it doesn't matter that they are actually small. It’s like with Rabbi Yossi ben Kisma who learned from all his students. So when I look at them, I have envy, lust and honor, and I want to rise and become greater and be among them even greater, and so on. But these things advance the person and raise him higher. So society helps you both on a corporeal level and on a spiritual level, just like we tell our children don't play with those kids they’re bad, play with the other kids, they’re good. That’s how it is.

46. S. (01:36:56) What action should we do in order to attain or grasp the Creator in the friends?

R. I'm looking now at this whole picture of everyone now, yeah, show it. Usually they show my face, why? You need to see yourselves, how many you are, how great you are with all those questions and all those different places around the world. That’s what you should be seeing, that’s what you should be inspired by. And that’s what you should want to swallow into you to take it all and that's what we need. In this way we want to assemble ourselves, each one of us and in this way, we will surely succeed, I just have to see what I'm seeing now on the screen, all of these groups and there are many more, we can't see all of them at once. all these groups if I would become incorporated with that, I would already be at the level of Atzilut literally. It all depends on the level of incorporation. Let’s build this Kli, let's want it to happen, let’s ask the Creator to do it for us. it all depends on us how much we demand from Him.

47. S. (01:39:06) How do we increase the perception of reality by increasing our connection?

R. Yes, to the extent that we connect between us and our vessel becomes comprised of all the desires and sub- desires of each 10 and all the 10s. By that we build the Kli for perception of reality and the resolution of our perception depends on how many groups we have and how these groups are connected. And accordingly, we will perceive reality but first we have to long for connection. We need 10s looking for connection between them inside those 10s for now and then between the 10s, and then we’ll discover that we exist in the spiritual world besides the corporeal world. Like the writing today about all sorts of discoveries and phenomenon is from other galaxies are the dimensions, that is how we going to discover but it is discovered only through the extent of connection between us, inside the 10 then between the 10s and accordingly our resolution, sensitivity will increase and this is our telescope to the extent that we connect between us more and more, we then see more of reality, the Creator, because the Creator is Bo Reh, ‘come and see’; we build the Kli and according to the Kli, we see Him, the Creator, ‘come and see’.

48. S. (01:41:34) If all the worlds are in me, why is it so difficult to feel the friends as more important than me, that it will be from my own desire?

R. But you don't feel these desires as your own. You have the evil inclination you have this imagination that these desires, each of them as your friends and or people, and still, vegetative, and animate levels who are not yours. But the person includes within him all of reality, it is all included in him and we just need to discover that; this is called the wisdom of Kabbalah, perceiving reality.

49. S. (01:42:46) You said we need to press on the friends without paying attention to how they are responding; and then you said that we also have to show the friends that I can't correct myself without them. How do you do it and where is the limit of how much pressure we can put?

R. You try to find such a connection between the friends that will cause connection between you. Sometimes you need pressure, sometimes you need concession, but the main thing is not to let go and not to leave – everything but leave. Leaving doesn't mean that you just exit studying the wisdom of Kabbalah, exiting the Bnei Baruch organization and so on, it means you leave your active participation in the 10, that's what ‘anything but leave’ really means.

50. S. (01:43:58) How can we in the 10 speed up, practically, the transition from hate to love without getting it from the Creator?

R. It is all up to you, be more active, be more creative.

51. S. (01:44:28) How can we reach this feeling that the Creator exists constantly, eternally?

R. Only according to our connection in a perpetual way, consistent way that we establish between us, that’s how we discover the Creator. The Creator depends on the Kli, ‘come and see.’

52. S. (01:45:25) How to reach a feeling of mutual deficiency?

R. Discuss it among you more and more until you reach a single deficiency, that's it.

53. S. (01:45:42) If there is a created being and a Creator, what is the center of the 10?

R. Where both the group and Creator meet; the Creator being the external force of bestowal. When they meet, that’s called, ‘the center of the 10’.

54. S. (01:46:22) How can we create importance for attaining the 125 degrees so others will be able to attain the goal? How can you give them such an importance?

R. By connection between us when we connect, we also try to pass that sensation onward to all our groups. And from the groups – whether we want it or not – we are generating around us a unique force field of bestowal that influences all human beings, it will, it will influence don’t worry. As long as we establish a center of connection between us in a powerful way.

55. S. (01:47:49) We put together a mature question: what practical actions should we do in order to reach a greater unity?

R. What Rabash tells you in The Social Articles, basically it’s all there. Read about it more and more, discuss it as much as you can.

56. S. (01:48:28) How in the 10 can we help one another discover the spiritual reality?

R. We can talk about it but even if we don't, if I make efforts to connect with others, by that, I assist everyone else in achieving that perception as well.

57. S. (01:49:00) Hatred that is revealed beside love, so is it the opposite of it?

R. It's possible that this way, too, is attainable. Love is opposite hate and they both connect together, yeah, possible that that’s something that also appears. For us, it appears as coarseness, restriction, screen, reflected light and connection with the Creator in the reflected light. And this whole, complete package works as a single Kli and a single light within which is the spiritual degree.

58. S. (01:50:04) The whole topic of perception of reality is very interesting to an external audience. So how do we best explain this to an external audience?

R. That, that I can't tell you. There is a lot of material we have on this – I’m sure you're familiar with all of that. And if not, you can talk to our friends who can share that with you, you're a quiet experience with dissemination – I think you know. But there is always more to discuss and explain to give new explanations and take examples from the external world, you'll be very successful in that, of this, I'm sure.

59. S. (01:51:18) How to be able to overcome the hatred, how to prepare yourself to overcome the hatred?

R. We need to read about these things as much as possible, understand how we advance with two forces – hatred and connection, hatred and connection, one cannot be without the other – and it’s like how in our whole life, even in this world, you always need both resistance and connection. And in those gaps, you will discover everything – whether it's in technology, biology, zoology, all kinds of mechanics, wherever you want, from the atom to the whole universe and even throughout the material world, you will always two opposite forces but there is some other force that brings them together and that's how all of the corporeal realities is built. But now, in the spiritual reality, we, ourselves, need to build the right connection between the two; by that we learn the work of the Creator, the art of the Creator. And by that, we become created beings, human beings, similar to Him – that we learn the craft of the Creator and we learn it, we study it. Meaning you are in a school that teaches you, firstly, what the Creator has done and how to attain what He has done; how to study what He has done and then how do we come from what we have in our hands, from these bricks, we build up the spiritual world. That's what is given to us, that’s what we must do. And by doing so we will be called ‘human beings,’ man. Meaning the Creator shapes all of the world from above downwards and we correct all the worlds from below upwards and that's what the book of Zohar explains.

60. S. (01:53:59) Do we have a mutual mirror for the 10?

R. Of course, this is our collective Malchut with Tzimtzum, Masach and Ohr Hozer, and then with this polished mirror, the reflected light building the image of the Creator from the Malchut upwards – first nine Sefirot – that’s what we discover, that’s exactly our polished mirror and what we see in it through the first 9 Sefirot. The force of bestowal that exists outside of us and governs us and we build it, that’s how it is all organized. It's a very special thing. Just think about the opportunity we have to make such actions by which we design the upper force. “You have made me” is what we need to achieve.

61. S. (01:55:18) Our 10 has discerned that the perception of reality is entirely based on the connection within the group. We feel that there is no reality without the sensation of the friends, are we on the right track with this discernment?

R. Great! That is the real, true path, good for you. Only by connection between us in the 10 as much as we stabilize this connection, more and more, by identifying with one another with aiming the results towards the Creator by that we can advance towards revealing the Creator in the 10 and actually correcting the 10.

62. S. (01:56:35) How can we, practically, give inspiration to the friends and be as an example when we feel hatred and rejection?

R. Specifically because we feel hatred and rejection by this, we have an opportunity to overcome the hatred and rejection and by inverting it, we can build a mutual attitude, a relation between us in connection and love; and then in these two layers between hatred and rejection between us and the connection and even love between us, from these two layers, we discovered the Creator ‘come and see,’ Bo Reh. ‘Come’ means we're working against the rejection, and ‘see’ means we are reaching connection and revealing the Creator, only in this way and it can’t be done, otherwise. Show me an example – even from this whole world of the still, vegetative and animate – show me an example that it can happen in a different way? That even in this world we discover everything from one state and the state against it: light from darkness, hatred, to love, connection against this disconnection; everything is only attained from one thing and it's opposite. So how can we discover the Creator that is the good force of connection and so on – only from the opposite quality. So we need to attain this opposite quality and the opposite from it, to build the image of the Creator. And by this, we reach adhesion to Him and His degree.

S. How does this inversion happen from rejection and hatred to love?

R. Try and connect, try to do it. We don't have another choice – there is no other choice, there is no other way. There’s no other means that will help us to understand what the benefit of our life is. What is the purpose of our life? How can we – even in a corporeal life – find the answers and solutions for them? Look at what's happening in the world. Look, the entire world and the way it exists, and what way – sneaky and low – we must reach a state. Maybe you should have groups that every day other groups that need to awaken the main Bnei Baruch group.

Excerpt 2 (02:04:17)

63. S. (02:06:04) In what vessels can we exit the radish and see the true reality?

R. The vessel of the 10 you have no other vessels, you or them. And then you have to adhere to them, glue yourselves to them so they will help you come out of your radish to the air, into spirituality. You have no other vessels. You yourself the way you are, you're going to remain like that and just bury yourself in your tiny will to receive. Only through the environment and the environment, even if they’re not in spirituality yet if you connect to them, you give them a spiritual form. Their connection compared to you, that is spirituality and then it takes you out of your radish. That's why you have no chance to succeed unless as Rabash and all the other Kabbalists write.

64. S. (02:07:23) What's projected to us from hindbrain and appears to us outside of us as an imaginary reality is this a true state that inverts to the broken state in front of us?

R. That is a corporeal state that is projected to our brain and by this we depict that it is before us.

S. Because in this person writes that we don’t bring anything new we just discover what’s inside the person, so where is it within us as a corrected state?

R. We don't reveal it like in corporeality we just discover forces, reasons to everything in our desires and thoughts, our mind and our heart. We discover the reasons. These reasons all in all, this is the image of the Creator, our image of the Creator.

65. S. (02:08:49) Why did the Creator created such wide world filled with so many details and vastness? Just to confuse the person completely?

R. No, the person doesn't need to be confused by all this. The wisdom of Kabbalah explains it very simply. You have one upper force that gives you all kinds of forms inside your senses, and in your senses, you see your qualities and you have to connect them and unite them. You see the still, vegetative animate and human in billions of different forms. We develop in such a way that we discover these different forms of the still, vegetative, animate, speaking, it's a development but the development is in our desires. That we reach such a tiny resolution that we have billions of types, and we need to connect it all to the Creator. As much as we connect it all to one force, for me all of this reality becomes simple. The still, vegetative, animate and speaking, that's it, there is nothing else. The four degrees of coarseness. Not the still, vegetative and animate themselves but four degrees of coarseness of my desire that in it I see my qualities like the still, the vegetative, the animate and the speaking. I see my own qualities. They are supposedly in front of me and outside of me in all these plants, these rocks, this big universe, the animals, the humans, they are all actually only existing in me, only. I don't see anything but myself. And all of the perception of reality the right one is for me to unite it into one vessel and relate to them not according to their external form and qualities that I reveal but I will see them, depict them as degrees in my desire and connect my desire towards its source, to the Creator, to the light. And eventually all of my reality will be complete, it will be organized in a complete form called Adam. Besides that there is nothing except for the system and also the Creator inside it and man inside it and all of the qualities of the still, vegetative, animate speaking, they are all in man, Adam. Adam is a system, it's not me. I am just an active part in this system, but all in all I need to unite all these parts together, this is how it happens.

66. S. (02:12:35) It turns out that every person I see the world as a particle of my own shattered desire?

R. Yes that's it. All of humanity is my own part of the speaking. All the animals are the animate in me. All the plants are the plants planted in me. And all of the universe, everything that I discover and everything we didn’t discover yet it's the still in me. And it's all included in man and that's also written in the Zohar that everything is in man and everything is for man, that's how it is.

67. S. (01:13:41) Can you please say how important it is to remember beyond the work of the ten on the day-to-day basis that everything around me is really inside of me. How important it is to hold on to it or not to focus on it too much?

R. For now it's not worthwhile to think that it's all in you and not outside of you because then people will think you are not normal and it's not worth thinking in that way. But we learn in our perception of reality that this is what we need to come closer to with our internal corrections. That I change my desire, that's my foundation. I invite the upper light upon it, the upper light works on the desire so it changes the desire and according to that I don't need to obligate myself to change, according to that I just change. And then for me there is no difference between this world and the spiritual world, it is all one mechanism and then I'm not confused. I’m not separated into two. I don't deal with philosophy. Philosophy means that it's disconnected from what we feel and see and from this world. no. The true spiritual perceptions through the wisdom of Kabbalah is revealed to man as unified. This is the world, these are the forces, we’re working in them and then there are no contradictions. There is no contradiction between seeing something from the outside or are they my parts and I can bestow to them, there is no difference. It all organizes gradually to each and every one according to his degree.

68. S. (02:15:14) So if the path that I'm on separates into 3 different paths and I can only go down one of them, I understand that each path will reveal a different image of this world. Which path do I take or doesn't it matter since it's my own inner projection?

R. It doesn't matter, the main thing is the connection. The connection will organize all these things and the system will change.

69. S. (02:16:56) Can you explain the connection between the 10 Sefirot and the perception of reality?

R. Everything that’s accepted is in those 10 spheres, that is the perception of reality. We are in it now too, except for this there is nothing. We just don’t know how to connect Malchut to all the Sefirot and Keter and opposite from Keter to Malchut. That’s why we don't know exactly where we are. We are just working according to what's revealed to us. But everything is in ten Sefirot, only. We just need to discover the true reality.

S. Is there a difference between an individual's deficiency and the 10’s deficiency?

R. Also the individual’s perception and his attainment is different than the 10’s perception and deficiency. We have to learn that we’ll all be incorporated in the 10.

70. S. (02:18:30) Does the greater correction need to happen in the people of Israel rather than the whole world?

R. The correction has to take place in a concept called Israel, a term. That it’s all those who can reach connection and, in that connection, reveal the Creator to some extent, to some form, at least to somewhat on the degree of Nefesh of Nefesh of Nefesh, the first spiritual degree, the lowest one; and in such a way to uplift more and more, and then the true reality is revealed. They are drawn to rise on the spiritual ladder until the degree of the Creator, the greatest one, NRNHY of NRNHY, 125 degrees. And the whole world will discover for now as much as they are lacking that spiritual degree as much as they are lacking the connection with the Creator, they will discover the connection with the Creator is through that group called Yashar-El, Israel. That it's not a nation it's a group of people that yearn through the connection between them to attain the Creator. And in this way, we will reach a state that the whole world as Baal HaSulam writes in the end of the introduction to the book of Zohar, that the whole world will connect to us, and we will make a connection, a transition, the Arvut, between the Creator and all created beings. That's how it's going to be.

71. S. (02:20:34) How can we hold onto the connection with the 10 in the right way during the day? What does it mean to do that with the 10?

R. We need to obligate all the friends in the 10 that each time, each and every one has to remind the others the necessity to connect. Otherwise we don't belong to the advancement, we don't belong to the Creator. We need at least in something through each and every state, even in the back of our mind. Hold onto the back of your head and hold onto the part of your heart that there’s a connection between us. That this connection is drawn to the Creator. Try and see as much as it will help you as much as it will help. Like a woman, a mother that constantly thinks of her kids that she left home. She’s always thinking of him because it’s her own. It’s not that she moves away from him physically, he’s with her in her heart the same way that he was in the womb, that’s how he remains, that connection remains. How should we be in the connection between us and the Creator? Each one needs to feel that he has this connection with the group. That the group for each one is like a place in the womb where there is a connection between the embryo and the mother.
