Part 3:

Baal HaSulam. "Study of the Ten Sefirot" (TES). Vol. 1. Part 3. Chapter Twelve. #5 ("However, the vessels of the Guf")

Reading #5 (00:13) “Five: However, the vessels of the Guf (7), which are the lower seven..” Twice

Reading #6 (02:14) “Six: Indeed, in the ten Sefirot of the look, the more adhered..”

Reading #7 (03:45) “Seven: Indeed, the phase of Malchut emerged first…”

1.R. (05:45) That's clear because it goes in an opposite way the stronger it is above in direct light the stronger is below in the reflected light.

2. S. (06:00) How does the size of reflected light influence the light clothed in the Partzuf?

R. Now we are speaking in Rosh but later we will also be talking about the Toch and the Sof. Whatever is in the Rosh expands in the Guf.

S. How does it build the reflected light?

R. In Peh of Rosh, you have a screen, that screen stops the expanding of the light and activates itself and supposedly sends the light back, that's called reflected light, that it wants to answer the Creator, to give the Creator contentment and that's why it first of all calculates in the Rosh as much as it decides what to do, later on the result expands in the Guf.

S. The calculator taking place in the Rosh, is happening relative to the adhesion with the friends or with the Creator, is this what happens?

R. Yes, all the calculations are in the Rosh in the Guf there is nothing new, only a result of what was decided in the Rosh. In the Guf because it goes from potential to actual there are results, but all those results are from the decision that took place in the Rosh and in the Guf anything which takes place not according to the Rosh, that's the shattering.

S. How does the Rosh understand that before it that there is a Guf before entering that state, how does he know what the Guf can receive and cannot receive?

R. Good question, the Rosh includes all the desires with all the qualities with everything it has in all the Partzuf, that is why it has the forces to decide and calculate properly. In the Peh of Rosh you have everything you need to make the right decision and plan what you need to receive from the Creator and how to give back, how the Creator enjoys this. All these things are in the Rosh, and you must take them into consideration.

3. S. (09:42) Baal HaSulam here, one who adheres to the root is higher since the Keter is closer than the rest. What is the essence of the action, each one who adheres is closer to its root?

R. Adhesion. As much as each and every quality in the Rosh is more or less adhered to the Creator and according to that it participates in the coupling by striking and then the upper light, meaning the presence of the Creator is revealed in that decision, in the Guf.

S. The essence of the action is placed in the ten, is it possible to talk about it?

R. Only in the ten.

S. How do you do it?

R. That we connect between us and as much as we can connect between us, this mutual force, we present that to the Creator and supposedly we tell him this is for you. We want to give you oy by willing to receive from you, we have to prepare ourselves to bestow in order to bestow and now we are willing to take from you and this reception will be in order to bestow.

S. Since we started in the morning, you said that there's a problem with the connection between you, why seemingly, why can’t you connect between you. So it comes as you say, why do we have such a burden with connecting, why the problem in connection, why do we fail?

R. The problem with connecting to begin with is in the will to receive that the Creator created that's why it's called I have created the evil inclination and blew it up into thousands and millions of pieces and we need to understand that we have to connect and reach one connection.

S. Are we successful in connection?

R. Yes, of course we are succeeding.

S. What are you seeing?

R. We are all on the path but now before us we have to take a strong step ahead, meaning shut up and connect.

S. To annul to the group more?

R. To annul we need to understand what it is said, that means I am willing to do anything for the group to be connected.

S. We use to do a lot of workshops on annulment, can we do a workshop on the topic of annulment?

R. Please try.

S. Can we do it now?

R. I'm not doing it, you need to do it.

S. Together with you, guided by you.

R. No, no, no, not with me, not with me, you think how to do it, maybe determine certain times, not during the lesson and do it. Like YH, but about annulment and not annulment that you read about it, that you talk about it, but you are actually doing it in practice.

4. S. (13:25) He writes that the ten Sefirot of the reflected light that are incorporated in direct light makes the vessels equal, how do they become equal?

R. The ten Sefirot are reflected light complete the ten Sefirot of the direct light, that's why each and every Sefira in its own intensity is equal to the rest, like us in a family, there's a younger ones, older ones, children, parents, elders, but eventually they'll complete one another into the term of a family

S. Does this mean that Yesod expands more than Malchut?

R. That's a form of bestowal.

5. S. (14:37) The first look, the second look, what is the role of this in the process?

R. The look is clear to us that you have a Rosh, Toch, Sof, so the look from above down, a look from below upward opens the explanation to the terms and the words and you will see what the look means.

Reading (15:21) Chapter 13 - #1 “One: A Drush [homily] that I wrote regarding the roots of the emanation..”

6. R. (17:15) Does reflected light from the degree of Metzach Eynaim AHP it all depends on how much of the reflected light the vessel can activate from the Peh it is the greatest reflected light, the vapor. That's why when we speak, so we can hear from the distant but vapor from the nose, how much can you feel they are coming out of the nose, it is much easier and from the ear only if we shut the ear, Awzen, so we will feel something in there. From the eyes we feel sometimes someone looking at us, there is an influence from the eyes. The Metzach above the eyes, that is already a question if we even feel it, that is what he wants to say, these vapors are in the Rosh of the Partzuf it is reflected light and by that the direct light is accepted and passed from the Rosh to the Guf.

Reading #2 (18:29) “That look is greater than all the above three vapors....”

7. S. (20:21) What is this process of creating vessels?

R. It is a process where the reflected light when it comes out of the coarseness and resistance to receive. By that it also builds, like in direct light, it builds it in the opposite way towards the host, towards the Creator and that's what happens. Like the guest and the host, the example is always at its place.

S. In the example and the guest and the host, what's happening here? He is giving, the guest wants to give back to Him, where do we have new vessels created here?

R. It is also written in the example that we read a long time ago already, that the new vessels took place when receiving the refreshments from the host because when he gives to the host, the guest doesn’t want to receive so he supposedly raises his vessel to receive, and he turns them to in order to bestow and by that they can reach a new kind of connection.

S. The new vessels are in what?

R. Reflected light, it comes back from the restriction, screen, reflected light and returns and clothes the direct light and it calculates as much as he can receive in order to bestow.

S. But here it describes that there are different degrees, different types of new vessels?

R. Of course, it is NRNHY because he has a new will to receive and divide it in such a way on the coarseness of Root 1234 and then you have in NRNHY, his screen with 5 degrees of coarseness and 5 degrees of resistance and from that we get a Partzuf before there wasn't a Partzuf, there was a point, from the point of the desire came. That desire was divided into four phases, these four phases already become a Partzuf and the Partzuf implements itself and becomes a world and then 5 worlds and that includes all reality. But the principle is the same principle.

8. S. (23:33) When I sit round the table and I am looking at what was served to me, what can I eat and what kind of calculation, what can I receive in order to bestow and what I cannot, is this called departure?

R. It is called departure and Tzimtzum, Masach, Ohr Hozer, restriction, screen and reflected light, here you calculate how much you receive and what you can’t.

S. Can you say that one desire is different from another desire? According to their relationship with the direct light on the reflected light.

R. That's correct.

S. It depends on the level or the intensity of the look, how deep I can look inside?

R. That is obvious, as much as you feel and demand the desire and forces and the ability to ask and get help, that you have the exact restriction, screen and reflected light.

9. S. (24:59) The look is a state only to create vessels?

R. Yes.

S. Does it also speak on the Partzufim of AK….?

R. The restriction, screen and reflected light build the vessels before that there's no vessel only a desire.

S. So why does it say there are two looks in the Partzufim of AK there's one kind of Zivug so what is this first and second look?

R. We will see it.

Reading #3 (25:53) “Three: This look comes and strikes at the place where the three vapors join together...”

10. R. (26:33) He explains here the quote that God said “it was good”.

Reading #4 (26:40) “Four: This look in the direct way made an impression in each....”

11. R. (27:38) Okay keep studying it, sorry you have to understand me that we have the issue with the women, that we didn't ask them on the previous part yet what we learned. So let's still ask them, what was the topic?

12. S. (28:03) What is so special about Eynaim and looking at the creation of vessels?

R. The light of the Eynaim is the same light where we can discern, the eyes, are that limit the from which the vessel of bestowal and the vessel of reception begin. Nikvey Eynaim, the pupils what we have in the eye, the point in the eye where we actually see through that's why it is that way.

13. S. (29:04) Is there a screen and our resistance to receiving the light?

R. The force to resist that light gives a feeling that is opposite from the host that's why we must equalize with him.

14. S. (29:28) If the path is from Lo Lishma to Lishma, why are they asking us in the ten to perform actions as if we were in Lishma?

R. We have to know that that's what we have to reach and after that we can measure as much as we can measure as much as we are in Lishma.

15. S. (29:57) If we are looking for the Creator as the one, unique and unified, why are we going this dual path of Lishma and Lo Lishma

R. We are in Lishma that even though that we don't even recognize as much as we yearn for Lishma with start ascending and on the way we reach Lo Lishma, it is something great, it is not a simple degree where we understand as much as we are in order to receive but this attainment, this understanding is essential so from it and onward we can reach Lishma.

16. S. (31:01) Can a person feel that his action brings contentment to the Creator and how is that related to the work in Lishma or Lo Lishma?

R. A person has to believe that he's giving to the Creator contentment by thinking about how to come closer to him according to the laws of nature what Kabbalists tell us about and to prepare himself and give the Creator a place to be revealed. The Creator has one pleasure, to be revealed in the created beings and man if he wants to cause pleasure to the Creator he needs to prepare himself for that.

17. S. (31:37) Yesterday we tried to measure the state of connection in the ten based on the criteria of the mood, the spirit, and the state of the connection between us, the attitude to the lesson and to the Creator. How can we measure these criteria as one and not as individuals?

R. I don't understand, that is something that they want to measure in the group? We measure this criteria only towards the connection in the group and do not confuse yourself, only towards connection.

18. S. (32:23) What is the atmosphere that has to be in the ten in order to allow for spiritual annulment for each friend as a choice?

R. We want each one to think of a group connection, that between us there won't be any distance and then we will be incorporated in such a way that we will feel ourselves as one body, that's it. Why do you want to turn these things around in such a way?

19. S. (33:14) How is the difference between the lifestyle for women and for men and can help us enter spirituality?

R. Women feels in a very different and special way all of the world and family, kids, everything altogether. Her desire to receive is more fundamental and the man is built in such a way that in order to come out of himself and connect with the friends and to rise. That's why the more we, each one of us, do our spiritual work correctly, a man with a man and a woman with the women, we will feel as much as by that we will need to complete each other, and that's the period coming to us.

20. S. (34:38) A few days ago you spoke about listening together to the lesson during the day as being more important than listening to the lesson alone. What is this profit to the ten as we listen during the day?

R. It also brings an opportunity to connect, that's why I said it, because we have no choice, we have to understand that it's not the wise who studies. By us knowing what is happening, what is written there that won't help us advance in spirituality. In spirituality we advance from devotion, from wanting to be connected, only by that. So let's still convince ourselves, obligate ourselves more and more and more to connect.

21. S. (35:37) How do you recap the lesson for today?

R. Let’s think what we are lacking in order to reach the last connection to the spiritual degree, good luck.
