193. When the messiah king comes, at the end of the last exile, of which it is written, “It is still high day,” then it is written, “And when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for him,” which is like the ark of the book of Torah, where the Torah, Moses, is hidden, and the concealing of Moses is the secret of the Torah, that it will be hidden in the last generation. He hid in it like Noah in the ark, which was going on the water. Similarly, at that time, Moses walks among the mixed-multitude, who are the evil waters.
194. At the end of the exile, the Creator gives Moses that ark and brings him to the exile. He brings him at the end of the exile, and until that end, it is written, “At the end of days, you shall return unto the Lord your God,” meaning that we must repent. And it is written, “and placed it in the reeds,” which is as it is written, “At the end of the matter, all is heard.” “At the end,” after everything is corrected with fear.
195. “Daubed it with clay and tar.” The clay inside is white, and the tar outside is black. So is the Torah: white from within and black from without. It is white from the side of Abraham’s light, Hesed, of whom it is written, “And God saw the light, that it was good,” and as it is written, “and saw him, that he was good.” There is no light but the Torah, as it is written, “And the Torah is light”; this is the light that was given from the right.
Black is from without, the darkness of Isaac, Gevura, of whom it is written, “And his eyes grew dim,” and it is written, “and He called the darkness ‘night,’” left.
196. “And placed it in the reeds” is Jacob, of whom it is written, “And he collected his feet onto the bed.”
“On the bank of the Nile” is the oral Torah, Malchut, a law given to Moses at Sinai, which Moses received.
197. When Malchut goes to ZA, she is called Halacha [going/rule] for Moses. ZA is called Moses, and when ZA receives her in his arms, she is called “reception for Moses.” When Malchut is in his mouth, it is written, “I speak with him mouth to mouth.” At the end of days, Malchut will go to him and he will receive her in his arms, in HG, and in Malchut, the waters of Torah break out.
198. “Daubed” with the light and the grave ones in the Torah. “With clay and with tar,” the substance of commandments to-do, from the side of the light, and from the commandments not-to-do, which are as dark as tar.
199. It is written, “By day, the Lord will command His mercy [Hesed], and at night, His song is with me.” “At night” is as it is written, “and to the darkness, He called ‘night,’” which is Malchut, who is built from the left line.
“And God called the light ‘day.’” Opposite that, He said, “By day, the Lord will command His mercy,” which is ZA.
“And to the darkness, He called ‘night.’” Opposite that, he said, “And at night, His song is with me,” left, Malchut, who is built from the left.
200. “And placed it in the reeds,” at the end of the last forty years of the exile. Opposite them, Israel went up to the Land of Israel at the end of the forty years that they walked in the desert. At that time, “For the Lord is high, and the low will see,” will come true.
201. “And his sister stood at a distance.” His Hochma, who is called “his sister,” as it is written, “Say to wisdom, ‘You are my sister.’”
“Stood” is as it is written, “And the Lord came and stood,” meaning that “stood” is written about the Creator. “At a distance” is as it is written, “From a distance, she brings her bread,” meaning that Hochma is revealed only from a distance, with the appearance of the judgments.
202. “And his sister stood” is Hochma. “At a distance,” when Israel distance themselves from the wisdom of Moses’ reception, and Hochma distances itself from them. At that time, it is written, “And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river,” meaning that the quality of judgment came down to complain about Israel, and to bathe in the blood of Israel, whose blood is their life.
It is all said about that light of which it is written, “And God saw the light, that it was good,” about the light of Torah, from which Israel were distancing themselves, the light of Moses.
203. “And her maidens walked by the Nile.” Her maidens are the nations, the mixed-multitude, as well as all the nations of the world which conspire against Israel to uproot them from the world. It is all because of that light of Torah. This is “by the Nile,” by that light, meaning because of it.
