14. At first, Israel suckle from a place called a “rock,” Malchut, when she is in the left, as it is written, “And nursed him with honey from a rock, and oil from a flinty rock.” That is, he nursed them with illumination of Hochma, called “honey,” from Malchut, who is called “rock.” It is called “honey” because Malchut is called a “date,” as it is written, “Your stature is like a palm tree,” and honey is drawn from a date.
15. Afterwards, “oil from a flinty rock” is a place above where Isaac is present, the left line. Although oil, meaning Hassadim, is from the side of Abraham, Hesed, when Israel better their ways, they turn the judgment in to mercy and suckle the oil of mercy from Isaac, who is the quality of judgment.
This is why the Creator said to them, “and nurse him with honey from a rock,” that they connected like a date, which is Malchut and female. And since ZON connected, male and female, then “and oil from a flinty rock,” meaning that all the degrees draw oil, even the flinty rock, the quality of judgment, as it is written, “The rock, its work is whole,” meaning that the rock, judgment, returned to do the work of a whole one, Abraham, of whom it is written, “walk before Me and be whole.” Rock is Isaac.
16. Moses was surprised about it and said, “Can we bring water for you out of this rock?” Since you are not walking on the straight path and are not perfuming the place, so as to turn the judgment into mercy, how is it possible to draw water, Hassadim, from the rock, which is judgment? This is why Israel make the libation of the water on the festival, so the altar, Malchut, will suckle the water of Abraham, Hassadim, and then the world is blessed.
17. When a person blesses over the cup, he should put water in the cup, when he reaches the blessing over the earth, in order to bless this earth, who is called “altar,” and a “cup of blessing,” Malchut, that all the blessings depend on him.
18. When Israel better their ways, the altar, Malchut, rules on the right side, Hesed, and they would see like a sight of a lion lying on the offering and eating it. Lion is Hesed, which is why the altar is called Ariel, Ari El [lion-God], indicating Hesed. It is also called “the city where David camped,” David’s part is that all his days, he exerted to shine to Malchut, the altar.
19. For this reason, David said, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy.” “Make known to me” means You will give me a path of life. “Fullness of joy” means satiation incorporated in Yesod, and He will turn His face against your face, against the face I am gripped in, Malchut. At that time, “Pleasantness is in Your right, for eternity,” meaning that Malchut, left, will be incorporated in the right, Netzah [eternity]. When she is incorporated in the right, the flinty rock returns, judgment, to do the work of a whole one, Hesed. For this reason, “This they shall give, to unite ZA, this, with that, Malchut.
