Excerpt 24 (00:15) Twice
1. S. (02:18) Rabash writes that we should see that we are worse than the rest of the people in order to feel that we need help from the Creator. You don't always see that you are worse.
R. It is true. My ego always works like that.
S. Can we make ourselves feel as worse?
R. A person receives more illumination if he invests forces and wishes to be connected to others. It comes to him and then he feels himself opposite from the light that shines to him. That's why he feels himself as the worst.
S. Is this the result of the work?
R. Of course. If a person does not work on himself, he feels himself as righteous. He typically looks at others and asks, ‘what do you want from me?’ If he works intensely to connect, to bring on the correction, then he feels himself as the lowest and responsible for all the corruptions.
2. S. (04:17) What does it mean to escape the campaign?
R. To leave the work, to stop understanding, to stop believing that this comes to us from the Creator on purpose so you would advance towards connection between us, from the connection to the Creator. That's what we need.
S. Does this happen automatically when a person doesn't invest?
R. Nothing happens automatically. If this belongs to spiritual upliftment, to spiritual ascent, then you have to invest in it because we make the form of man from the will to receive, the structure of bestowal.
3. S. (05:30) Our hearts must be broken in order to be close to the Creator. What breaks a person's heart?
R. When he discovers that his heart is broken and that all his desires are egoistic. He wants to do nothing good from his nature and he needs to overcome each time and he doesn't have the strength for it. He sees that he needs the help of the environment and influence from above, from the Creator, so that he will be able to climb out of the hole that keeps getting deeper and deeper.
4. S. (06:31) When is a person considered to be in the campaign?
R. The campaign is when he belongs to his group, and his group belongs to a greater group, the world group. He is already part of the system when he feels it this way. The question is if he is advancing with the system, meaning he is performing actions that will also advance the system towards correction.
5. S. (07:18) Sometimes we say that we need to pray for a common deficiency and sometimes pray for connection between us. When we speak about praying for the connection between us do, we mean a common deficiency or is there something beyond the common deficiency?
R. We wish to reveal a common deficiency in the connection between us and to pray to the Creator from this deficiency. These are the correct actions to be connected between us, in order to come to a common deficiency, turn to the Creator, and then the Creator will surely respond. It's a system, and if we don't correctly organize our attitude, we simply don't activate the system. We can say that above there is no heart, no head, no eyes, and they don't feel us. This is simply the way we speak as humans. But in truth we are in a system which is like a computer. You did something right, you got a reaction; you didn't do the correct action and didn't get the answer or you got an incorrect answer. It works according to a plan. All the broken vessels must connect between them in order to bring themselves again into unity and connection just as they were before the shattering. There is no room here for lamenting or crying for anything other than the miserable person.
S. It is emotional to pray for a common deficiency but praying for connection doesn’t feel natural. Intellectually it's very clear what you are saying but still the prayer ends up more of a common deficiency rather than to connect to reach that common deficiency. Is this, okay?
R. We wish to feel the deficiency and ask from within our egoistic desire. We wish to be in gratitude from the spiritual desire that has awakened in us and aim this gratitude towards the Creator. We have the power to turn to the Creator, to be grateful to Him from the bottom of our hearts and feel less miserable and poor.
6. S. (10:50) How can I differentiate the response that comes from the system and some lie of the ego?
R. That's according to the preparation of your vessels. You get a reaction and fulfillment of your vessels to the extent you work on them. Your questions are the places where you will receive an answer. Questions and answers, questions and answers. That's what we have with the upper system. If you can't see or detect anything, it is a sign that your question, your request, did not reach a state where you can locate the answer.
7. S. (11:56) How can a person be sure that he needs the Creator to help him?
R. We don't have any other means than the help of the group and a prayer. It should all come from above, from the Creator. We can only awaken Him through the group. No other way. The means is simple
8. S. (12:52) The text says that the Creator can help him give him little help or a lot of help. What does the help of the Creator depend on?
R. We discover our vessel for receiving the answer as much we turn upwards. There has to be MAN in order to receive MAD otherwise it won't happen. We simply will not detect Him, we will not feel Him. Pay attention to how much you are capable of reaching the correct state. Let's say the management of Bnei Baruch is turning to you to fill out a feedback form about how the congress was, what is happening, what are you thinking, what do you want. How many people responded? Twenty-five percent. There were, let's say 6000 people who participated in the congress. Only a total of 1600 people replied. If we reply in this way to what is being asked of us, why should our reply from above be different? Where is our correct response if we belittle everything that we are told to do, let's connect, let’s do this and do that. We demand something from the Creator, but what about from ourselves? Are we doing things accordingly? Do you think we will get any answer from above like that?
I was amazed to see that there were 6,000 participants in the congress but that only twenty-five percent filled out the feedback survey. We like to receive, but to give? We can't even participate for just a few minutes to do something on our keyboards. They above regard us the same way because we look down and belittle our general action. Each one thinks he is smarter than this, he doesn't think it is important. Okay. Why does he think that he is important if he doesn't think it is important? Do you think things just happen like that, that we have the mind to consider what is important or not, what's worthy or not? The most important things for our spiritual advancement are things that invite us to participate together. In truth, I am sorry to see such results.
9. S. (17:06) How to depict the next state that we should reach in our common effort?
R. We have to do it with our common effort. I just spoke about it. The action is common in a common effort. We were together in the congress and were connected to some extent and now they want a certain reaction feedback from us. Now it's already gone, it is done and I don't really care about it. No one takes it seriously. This is very severe.
10. S. (18:10) Am I escaping the campaign when I agree that the situation comes from the Creator and I'm waiting for that state to go away?
R. Of course, what’s happening is coming from the Creator but if I don’t give the correct response to what is happening nothing will happen. I can wait till the end of correction and nothing will happen. I awaken various negative comments because I'm not participating with the engine that brings us to the end of correction, but I'll have to do it. Any moment where I don't do what I need to do, then that awakening that comes to me from the good source becomes more and more negative. I feel bad in it more and more until I come to see great torments that will obligate me to correct my attitude.
11. S. (19:40) How do we increase our deficiency when even when turning to the group we don’t find a lack?
R. We have to awaken one another; we must do this in the group. There is no choice. ‘One will help his friend.’ There is a lot written about it. Where is everything that you've read? It is as if you've never read anything about it. We must awaken the heart of the friends towards connection, to warm things up, to connect and come closer, even artificially. Haver, friend, from the word Chibur, connection. He who yearns for connection is called a friend.
12. S. (20:57) How do you connect these deficiencies or desires to the ten?
R. All that we have, good or bad, passes over us as a result of the quality of our connection in the ten. It is all a result of the quality of our connection. We have nothing individually that belongs to degrees of the still, vegetative, or animate, rather it's all a result of the degree of the speaking. We either look down on it or succeed in it. Everything is possible, that’s how it is. If a person has some problems or troubles, from the smallest to the largest, it means that he is missing something in his social work. It is written that if I insert my hand into my pocket and I want to take one dollar out but instead I find two dollars, that is also called a punishment because I wanted only one and I found two. It is no longer according to my desire. If a person exists in the correct manner, he needs to receive the correct response to his desire precisely, either good or bad.
13. S. (23:29) If I see the Creator behind my friends, how do I pray for them? What should I ask for?
R. That is correct but along with this I feel what I can add to the friend. I need to see qualities, desires, and discernments in me that I can add to him in order to bring him to a more corrected state. We are connecting and as much as I thought the friend was perfect, he is not perfect because I am not connected to him and to this extent, he is still not perfect. This is how I relate to him, what can I add to him in order to progress him to correction. It is not that he is not corrected. I can feel him as perfect, as whole, but the problem is in me, that I am not connected to him. Thus, in this state, he is still not in the end of correction.
S. Is it correct that when I ask for the friend I am asking for my own correction?
R. Truly so. I don't see the friend, I see a copy of myself. I truly don’t see the friend before me. As we learn in the perception of reality, none of us sees the world, we only see ourselves, our projection, in the upper abstract light. It is all the projection of our egoistic desire on the upper light, like on the screen, from the highest to the lowest degree. We project our ego on the upper light and we see this world, meaning what is this world with everything that is happening in it. It is in our egoistic internality in sum total that I still haven't corrected yet. So, all who cancels another is of his own flaw.
14. S. (26:46) We read that one who understands that he needs the Creator to give him a lot of help because he is worse than the rest of the people, is more suitable for his prayer to be answered. Why do those who feel worse get answered?
R. If he makes an effort, he sees himself worse. Ultimately, it's up to us to reveal the extent of breaking, the shattering in us, and accordingly, we are worthy of correction. In sum total, this is simple.
S. We shouldn't make an effort and become worse?
R. No. You see yourself as worse, meaning in a more true manner, and then you are more worthy of correction as much as you make an effort. A corruption is revealed that is already present in you.
S. Why is his prayer accepted before others who pray and participate? Why do I receive after the one who prays when I participate, make an effort, and I come to the morning lesson?
R. You don't need correction like your friend?
S. Is there a person who doesn't need correction?
R. It is according to his sensation.
S. It's not only according to the feeling, but also according to his efforts.
R. Correct. According to man’s lack, as much as he worked on connection, on bestowal, he sees that he is not succeeding enough in this and accordingly he has a lack for connection, for bestowal, and is in need of help from above.
S. Is a person clearly aware that he is making efforts and not succeeding so he needs more help?
R. Let us say so.
15. S. (29:35) Can a person accurately really want what he needs for correction?
R. A person in the correct society receives these deficiencies for correction from the society and then he feels from within his social system precisely what he is lacking. If he, with his private lack, participates with lack of the group, and each one completes the other, and in sum total raise their mutual lack to the Creator, then they succeed in everything. We only need to work in such a manner.
16. S. (30:49) Every friend has his own deficiency, his own request, we're trying to unite them. But we learn that in the end, we have to come to a care for the Creator, and to ask to bring Him contentment, to care for Him. How do we come from different directions, different deficiencies into one?
R. That is called, ‘’from the love of the created beings to the love of the Creator,’’ as much as I learn from friends that we need to reach to love between us, to connection between us, despite that in none of us is there is love, rather the opposite. We reveal each time how much we are in distance, alienation, and even hate from one another like the students of Rabbi Shimon, those of the Zohar. But when I look at them, and then upon me, and we learn together according to the sources, and understand that we need to reach a state ‘’that love covers all crimes.’’ where will we take the love. The crimes are revealed from the shattering, there is in everyone. If such, I can turn to the Creator and request that I’ll have love of friends, I don't have, let me have. Then, in such a manner, we can reach a state that we will get closer to one another and request of the Creator. It all, ultimately, it must end in the prayer, in request.
S. Love of friends is something pleasant, that I am happy with them and I am willing to do something for them. But how do you come from this to be incorporated in the Creator's deficiency and working for Him?
R. To begin with, what reason am I going to connect with the friends? Only to bestow to the Creator, very simple. It’s like there is a family, the mother has kids, many kids, and she asks of them to play nicely with one another, don't hit one another, don't yell. So, to give contentment to the mother, we need to get closer and play nicely with one another.

17. S. (36:59) In the analogy to the mother and the kids, in her case the mother is pretty cruel, she seems to be absent, she writes letters and we have to be good kids. Why is it like that?
R. The mother gives us opportunities, the optimal opportunities in order to advance. She's not hitting us too much, and not loving too much, in order to bring us to the middle line, meaning in the shortest manner from here to the end of correction. If we would see how it relates to you, to us, to the Creator, we would see that it’s the correct attitude and relation in one hundred in each and every point that we are in. What seems to you, in your egoistic eyes, what can we do, you still don't see anything. When you’ll grow, then you will see how much the Creator is righteous and you are wicked.
18. S. (38:22) We read that people want to run away from the work but can’t, does not getting satisfaction, should we cause this to each other, what does it mean not to get satisfaction?
R. We can cause or reach satisfaction only when we have the intention to bestow, because in the desire to receive there will never be satisfaction ever, there's no person that dies and his lusts are in his hands, only in the desire to bestow to others then each time we can be in this process, in such actions and accordingly we will have more and more satisfaction.
S. Each one or some of us have all kinds of engagements or satisfactions, should we not relate to these?
R. What accompanies us in our corporeal lives, we don't take into account, of course we need all of these things to live from but the spiritual goal it places before us spiritual satisfaction to which we must reach.
19. S. (40:03) Does the exodus from Egypt happen only once on the path or does it return in each degree?
R. Only once.
20. S. (40:22) I need to practice on filling the deficiency of the friend so I can pray for them but when I pray should I picture the friends to myself, is it correct to work this way?
R. I pray for the friends, I can picture them, that they are already at the degree of correction, in general all of my work to begin with must be that I connect with them and I see them as corrected. Then what I relate to them, ascribe myself to them I see myself as the small one connected to the big ones and in such a manner I can progress. This is what is Rabash writes, it's either one before the zero or the zero before the one.

21. S. (43:42) I feel like I did what I'm able to do in the work that I did my best especially after the Congress, I feel I am broken into pieces, I feel disgusted with myself. How can I get out of this self-hate that I have?
R. What for? Why do you want to exit from this sensation? To feel better? Maybe to remain in this sensation and just tell yourself that I now feel how I am a desire to receive, my ego is suffering so let it suffer. I don't want to change it, let it suffer and I will disconnect from it. I can be outside of it and feel myself in good and see that it is suffering and just enjoy it.
S. I need to separate my point in the heart and my will to receive, I have my point in the heart and my will to receive can suffer but I'm also in gratitude because it suffers?
R. Of course yes, giving thanks to the Creator that he gave this to me to feel that my ego is bad and that I feel bad in it and specifically by this bad sensation, I am separating and distancing from it. Then I already see myself divided in two, this is the bad in me and I want to be outside of it in this that I will build the good. In that we begin gradually to build a Partzuf that will have Rosh, Toch, Sof, the Partzuf of a Neshama, a soul.
S. If there is no spiritual connection, no attainment to the Creator there's no point in living this life so why do I live if I can't achieve anything?
R. Correct, very nice, now you have good thoughts that you must reach the awareness of the Creator and the attainment and sensation of the Creator, very nice. Who is doing this to you? It is the Creator giving you the sensation so you must give him thanks. Don't be in your feelings like a little kid that got some blow and now he's crying and crying and can't get out of it. A bigger person, an adult, says I got a blow but I need to take care of it and turn to the doctor or something. We need a bit more to stop crying and to rise above the state, we hope that we will begin to see you once again happy like before.
WSQ: (48:41) What does it mean that the ten shows a vessel turn to the Creator that is ready to receive an answer from Him?
R. Accordingly that the 10 is ready to receive an answer from the Creator then according to this it brings together it's question and turns to him. How can we now from all of our world Kli turn to the Creator and demand the request to beg before him, with what are we turning to him? Otherwise, it seems to you that the Creator is not present, that he doesn't exist and you don't feel him so you don't turn to him, like he is not in reality but we need to reveal him so in what manner if not by this that we are constantly turning to him and shaking like a little child always turning to the adult to shake him up and get his attention. We want to be in these questions and prayers to the Creator in such a manner we will awaken him to begin to be revealed in us. How do we do this please and in what are we turning to him, each and every group brings us the one sentence solution with which we turn to the Creator.
