Rabash. Record 838 The Trueness of Providence

Hello, we are reading from Rabash Articles, Part 3, article 838, The Trueness of Providence. You can find our study materials on our Arvut system Sviva Tova websites and you can ask questions live and through the websites.

Reading Article: (00:31) The Trueness of Providence.

It is known that the purpose of creation is to do good to His creations. It is impossible to be rewarded with the goal before one corrects oneself with the quality of equivalence, called the quality of Hesed. Afterward, he will be rewarded with the goal, called “truth,” and then the trueness of His Providence is apparent—that it is in the manner of good and doing good.

We see that the verse says, “What does the Lord your God ask of you? Only to fear Me.” In other words, a person must be rewarded with fear of heaven. This is the only thing that one should try to merit, as it is written, “but fear.” This is called “the quality of faith,” where one must believe in the Creator, as our sages said, “The eye sees, the ear hears, and all Your deeds are written in the book.”

A person can check if he believes in this, for he can take an example from the fear of flesh and blood. For example, when a person looks through the window into his neighbor’s home, he will certainly not do anything unless it is good in the eyes of his friend, and he will certainly not do something inappropriate.

It follows that when a person is alone in the room, if he believes that “the eye sees,” he cannot do anything that the Creator does not like, just as he will not do anything bad while his neighbor is looking at him.

For this reason, if one sees that he is doing things not according to the Creator’s will, he must certainly say that he does not believe in “the eye sees.” Otherwise, he would not be able to do these deeds.

Likewise, if his friend could look into his mind and would know what his friend thinks, he would certainly not think any bad thoughts because he would not want to be disgraced in the eyes of his friend.

Accordingly, if a person believes that the Creator knows the thoughts, how can one think thoughts that are not according to the Creator’s will? Hence, he sees that he does not have real faith. For this reason, this is a true test to know whether he has faith.

When one sees that his faith is inappropriate, it is considered that he is lacking fear of heaven and needs the Creator to send him.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (04:23) How can we in every moment feel that the eyes see, like you're under Providence?

M. Laitman: What can I tell you, drop to drop accumulates to a great fortune. Another moment and another moment, even though there are recesses between them. You, nevertheless, get used to being constantly in fear of Heaven.

Student: What is this feeling that the eye sees?

M. Laitman: The eye sees, it's literally.

Student: What does it see?

M. Laitman: The eye of the Creator, the eye of the Upper One that sees Him in all sorts of incidents and actions and activities that He could do, so to say, against the will of the Creator.

Student: Is there anything that she sees more or shut the eye sometimes? Or she sees all?

M. Laitman: No, we need to believe that always the eye sees and this is how we are under that Providence.

Student: Is that not shutting the person that he feels that he's under a test the whole time?

M. Laitman: That is true, that’s true; that is called that all and all is in the world of the Creator.

Question (Women MAK): (06:30) The realization of fear in every moment, what is it?

M. Laitman: By examining myself, how am I not disconnecting from the Creator. And constantly wanting more and more to contain Him in my life?

Student: Is there a direct understanding that I finished the degree?

M. Laitman: Sometimes it happens but sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't have to be that way.

Student: How do I check that I'm not just convincing myself?

M. Laitman: There is no way.

Student: The feeling of security that I corrected this state and I went up to the next step. How can I check that it doesn't get blocked within me and I'm actually advancing?

M. Laitman: That you are advancing, yes, that I have done everything that I could on this degree and I continue, that, you cannot do.

Question (Hadera 1): (08:04) Is there any connection between the fear of Heaven to the relation of a person to his environment?

M. Laitman: Yes, of course, a person who would like to come to, let's just say, he wants to excel in fear of Heaven. So, he accordingly relates to his environment.

Student: So, it means that there is a feeling of None Else Besides Him?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women MAK 98): (08:46) Can we depict that this is the fear before the Creator? Every day we work under cameras, we don't even feel it, but we know that we've been watched.

M. Laitman: Of course.

Student: But if my ego is showing me something in my friend that I don't like, do I need to say it? Or to work within?

M. Laitman: You don't need to say anything, change yourself internally in such a way that you won't feel the friend pressuring you or applying anything on you.

Question (PT 22): (09:32) What is the connection between faith and fear of Heaven, that's the first question. And the second question is how do we know what exactly the Creator wants?

M. Laitman: What's the connection between faith and fear of Heaven? A person who makes an effort to be constantly in adhesion with the Creator without any recesses. Then he begins to understand what fear of heaven is.

Student: Then he understands what the Creator wants from him?

M. Laitman: Yes, from that comes to him the feeling, the understanding, the emotion.

Question (Turkiye 2): (10:45) How does one's effort affect Divine Providence?

M. Laitman: In a direct manner, to the extent that a person exerts himself to come closer to the Creator. To that extent, he feels a change in his feeling, that he has a different feeling from the presence of the Creator in his life.

Student: Does the Creator give the effort to the person or after a point, the person continues this effort?

M. Laitman: Yes, the Creator helps until the person can continue on his own. The person needs to make an effort as much as possible to receive from the Creator. And then immediately afterwards to continue on his own.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (12:32) It is written that if there is a reality that a friend can look into his mind and know what he is thinking, he probably wouldn't think bad thoughts so he doesn't look bad in front of his friend's eyes. What is this reality?

M. Laitman: It is a reality that what you feel is what your friend feels.

Student: Do we need to depict this reality that the Ten always sees my intentions, my thoughts, my actions, even when I am on my own?

M. Laitman: It does not matter if you are physically alone or among friends, or somewhere else. A person needs to always make an effort to keep himself in the presence of the Creator.

Student:  And how to integrate the friends? How is it to depict the friends as testing me, that they are checking me? They are looking into my heart?

M. Laitman: Yes, very difficult, confusing.

Student: So how to do it, how to do it easy? Or not easy, more comfortably, not that they are always checking me, how I am. So, they are with me in that process?

M. Laitman: If we let go of ourselves, then we don't know where we are. If we hold ourselves constantly, then only by force, by our force, can we keep ourselves.

Student: What do we need to do?

M. Laitman: To try to come to a state that our effort to hold ourselves in the correct manner wouldn't cost us any strength. Meaning that it will be mine, regularly, this attitude, as a regular thing. And in that way, I will leave calmly.

Student: What is the correct form that a person won't need to exert too much, in relaxation, like you said?

M. Laitman: It will happen when l feel that I am in equivalence with the Creator.

Student: I can't find the middle, if I leave myself, then I don't know where I am; if I hold myself, it costs me my energy. Where is the middle where I don't need to use my strength and just to advance?

M. Laitman: Habit, this will come as a habit.

Question (Women MAK 19): (16:08) How can we use the internal work, the personal internal work, where I see in the Ten there is one friend who talks to the other? How am I supposed to behave above reason, if I know that There Is None Else Besides Him?

M. Laitman: You need to know how to show an example in a way that the person who is not doing everything correctly will feel the flaw in him and will be corrected.

Student: Can I move it into the internal work, and simply from the side, not to accept any sides within me?

M. Laitman: It is possible that way, yes.

Question (Women MAK 104): (17:18) If you work on a certain quality and you think, that's it, I corrected it. And then the Creator brings you back to the same quality, how can I know that I corrected this state?

M. Laitman: So, you haven't corrected yourself.

Question (Women MAK 25): (17:45) There are situations where it is very hard to make a correction. How can we reorganize ourselves internally that we can think the right thoughts and to have the right feelings?

M. Laitman: First, you need to talk about it and then try and hold on to it for a few hours, and again talk about it. And again, hold on to it for a few more hours and then talk, and then the habit becomes second nature.

Student: Those internal states we do through external actions in the Ten?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women Moscow 6): (18:47) A person that wants to be in fear in front of the Creator, he also needs to have the same relation towards his environment. How are we supposed to look in the eyes of the friends?

M. Laitman: What does it mean, how?

Student: The way a person is looking, that's how he looks, we want to look better. In relation to the work and the friends, that we will need to aim ourselves in front of the Creator with fear. So, this way we are supposed to treat the environment.

M. Laitman: That's what you'll do, yes?

Question (Women Spain): (19:42) In the faith above reason, when there is a feeling of lowliness, how can I know what the Creator wants from me?

M. Laitman: The Creator wants from us only that we will reach love of friends, and together with all the friends, we will reach His love, His love.

Question (Petah Tikva 6): (20:25) In the second verse, it is stated that a person needs to believe in the Creator just like our sage said, that the eye sees, and the ear hears. What do I need to depict to myself?

M. Laitman: That this is how you're connected with the Creator, that the eye sees, and the ear hears. And this is how you need to believe that it's happening.

Student: Then, if it happens like that, what happens?

M. Laitman: Then you'll be guarded from doing wrong actions, okay? Between the two  discernments, we need to scrutinize these discernments: the eye sees and the ear hears. And then, it's called that you're reading in the book.

Question (Hadera 1): (22:02) In the second paragraph, at the end, “according to if a person believes that the Creator knows the thoughts, how can one think thoughts that are not according to the Creator's will? Hence, he sees that he does not have real faith. For this reason, this is a true test to know whether he has faith.” The question is if a person knows that it is not according to the desire of the Creator to think such thoughts. And he believes in it but he doesn't have any strength to overcome his desire and he cannot overcome. Is the problem that he's lacking faith or he cannot aspire to come over the desire?

M. Laitman: That's the same thing, that's the same thing: He's either lacking faith or he's a weak character.

Student: He can overcome his desire and rule it?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Hadera 1): (23:16) When a person is sick and suffers, is the force of faith take it all away? Or it will sweeten it and he will turn it into sorrow of love?

M. Laitman: If he has corporeal suffering, he needs to see a doctor.

Student: But I'm talking about the force of faith.

M. Laitman: If he's lacking the force of faith, then he needs to turn to the Kabbalists' writings and to read articles, letters.

Question (Petah Tikva 22): (24:32) From what I understand, it seems like there are two different kinds of descents for a person: The first one is a descent that the upper force is trying to correct him. And the second one of the descents, it seems like the upper one wants to try to advance him. Does a person have the strength to make the difference?

M. Laitman: No, it could be completely the same.

Question (MAK 25): (25:32) I have ten friends, in front of us, there is a choice. We have a choice, each one has his own opinion. What do I do, am I nullifying or what?

M. Laitman: The main thing is to feel them and then to feel yourself, and what you want to choose to do.

Question (Women MAK): (26:05) What is the growing fear, and what is it, how do we measure it?

M. Laitman: We cannot measure in the middle, we need to have both, we need to have fear. A little bigger, a little smaller, according to its depth, we will scrutinize this later.

Student: Can we say that when I really want that each of my desires will be towards the Creator? Can we say that this is the development of faith?

M. Laitman: The fear, yes.

Student: Can we say what is a real spiritual desire towards the Creator? And to make it a real spiritual desire?

M. Laitman: By non-stop thinking of Him.

Question (Women Spain): Does the physical connection affect the spiritual advancement?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women PT 33): (27:37) You said that a person needs to try as hard as he can to receive from the Creator. And then he needs to move on by himself, to continue by himself, and then the Creator helps him until the person moves on, on his own. What does it mean that he moves on, on his own?

M. Laitman: If the Creator is moving the person from a state that he had, moves him to a better state. Then the person needs to see it, accept it, be grateful for it, and continue. That is, in essence, the action that needs to be here.

Student: A better situation is in his reality, how he grasps the situation?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Rehovot 1): (28:47) How does a person develop confidence in the upper force, and raises truth to it?

M. Laitman: By being constantly with the friends and with Rabash's articles.

Student: When a person feels that he and the Creator, that he has a complete confidence with everything that the Creator sends to him?

M. Laitman: When he reads Rabash's articles and feels how much he agrees and is incorporated in them. That this is for him like an ocean that he is swimming in.

Student: What is the truthfulness of Providence within the Ten?

M. Laitman: The Providence within the Ten, that the entire Ten is in the connection between them. In the connection between them, they feel the same.

Question (Petah Tikva 6): (30:49) I love the ocean, the sea, very much. Now you said to relate to Rabash's articles, what does it mean in the sea, what does it mean?

M. Laitman: That you feel that it's the closest to you; that it wraps you from all over.

Question (Women PT 33): (31:24) I also heard that you said that the Creator wants from us to reach love of friends and together we all come to love Him. Can you define what love of friend is and how can we reach it so we can develop a deficiency for it?

M. Laitman: Love of friends needs to be that I feel the friend as if I am inside him, and he is inside me. And we do not feel the difference between us, so much so, so much so. That's it.

Student: I've asked before in regards to a person needing to make an effort to see how much he can receive from the Creator and later on to continue on his own. What does the person continue on his own?

M. Laitman: He will draw the upper light so the light will fulfill him and push him to do actions that are just like the upper light.

Question (Women HEB 2): (33:05) Many times I feel that the gap between my ability to relate to situations, to states, to decisions in a correct manner. And to what is possible to me, meaning, I would like to relate to it the way the Creator relates to it but I'm not there. My mind works the way it works. What to do with this gap?

M. Laitman: Don't do anything, slowly, slowly, with the upper light, it will be corrected.

Question (Turkiye 1): (33:46) How to increase the fear of connecting with friends? To increase the fear that I might not be connecting with the friends.

M. Laitman: By connection between you, as much as you're going to raise the connection between you to a higher degree. You'll be more devoted to each other and more; and then you'll start to feel the fear.

Question (Women Moscow): (34:50) We are a Ten with a few friends and we started feeling that there is, towards us, some strange relation because we're a small Ten. How to work with it?

M. Laitman: Where are the others?

Student: This is how it turned out, that there's only two left.

M. Laitman: Start building the ten anew, you two, try to find third, fourth, fifth. And slowly you will draw them to at least read an article once a day, to listen to the lesson every now and again; and slowly you'll succeed.

Student: That means to not unite the Tens that are already existing. We tried but it didn't turn out.

M. Laitman: I understand, yes, the main thing is to continue. And later on, you will go past that line and it will be way better. Good luck.

Question (Women German): (36:31) Each one of us has an image of herself with the love of friends. How can we come closer together, and in one go, experience the true picture of love?

M. Laitman: I do not know what to say, can you not define together what love is?

Reader: She's asking, each one has his own image of love. How can we all come to the true image of love? What is this image?

M. Laitman: I understand, so, they are not aware of it. Love is called that I am incorporated in everything that the friend has, and he is included in everything that I have. And then it turns out that both of us, him in his body and me in my body, but both of us, when we think about connection, we feel ourselves as if we are in one body, in one body. And there isn't his or mine, everything is his as his is, mine is mine, there is no such thing.

Reader: (38:20) What is this common place, this love?

M. Laitman: This is what we build between us.

Student: That's the common place, that's the love that we build between us?

M. Laitman: Yes, this is the place of love.

Student: It’s where the Creator? What is above: What's left of me and what's left of him?

M. Laitman: Whatever we can connect between us.

Student: So, the end of Correction is when there is no difference between us, that I completely disappear, correct?

M. Laitman: Correct.

Question (Women Spain): (39:08) How to work in a state where a friend is turning everything towards his sake? Do we need to continue bestowing on him?

M. Laitman: No, we should show him that this is how we do it, to bring him into his personal check. Does he do it or he doesn't, so, he checks himself, is that clear?

Question (Women MAK 97): (40:04) When a person understands that the Creator is watching him, when the Creator sees everything and hears everything. Generally, there is a feeling of shame, how to turn this feeling of shame to fear, a trepidation in front of the Creator, before the Creator?

M. Laitman: You don't need to be ashamed in front of the Creator with the feeling, you need to be honest with the Creator. So, you don't need to feel shame, this is who I am. Until to a certain degree, a person can feel that it comes from the Creator and there is nothing he can do, here, this is Him and from a certain degree, a person cannot agree with how much he is broken, lowly. So, therefore, it is best to be very honest, exposed, transparent with the Creator. And then you won't have any self-objection, you will be in a very honest way to the Creator. Get used to it!

Student: Should we be ashamed of the past?

M. Laitman: No, not at all; what was, it was.

Question (Women PT 5): (41:58) Today, we have a special meeting, we are beginning a Ten meeting to build the vision of the society. Everybody is going to participate in it, it is very exciting, it is a new degree, it really, truly awakens fear. My question is about the attitude, how on the one hand to come and completely annul towards the friends and whatever they have to give. On the other hand, to also give everything you have in the heart that wants to give in order to build our society that will be the society that will be the society of the reality of the Creator?

M. Laitman: Excellent! You should do what you are telling me. Try hard and the more you think about it together, it will turn into a prayer. And then you will feel that slowly, slowly you are actually doing this action.

Question (Women Latin 13): (43:14) When a friend expresses herself, I understand there is a difference. Is it true to think that it is in order to complete her? Or I need to feel her, completely?

M. Laitman: No, as much as you can, as much as you can.

Question (Kavkaz 1): (43:54) Fear is when I feel myself as a receiver against a person who is a bestower. The only request that comes out of me is, Creator, please save me. I want to do the next effort in order to come closer to the end of action. So, I am waiting for the fear to simply go away? Or my action is to somehow be in this state?

M. Laitman: Why does it bother you?

Student: Sometimes, it feels like fear, like some sort of tension. Even now, I am saying it and I feel that I am not able to be in that state for a long time. It is such a feeling that I need to search where to put myself in order to come out of it. Not come out of it but truly do the next step, to somehow grab it. So, what would that next step look like, besides knowing, besides these two words, Creator, save? How to see that everything that I receive is what I need? How to ask Him to let me see that He gives me everything I need?

M. Laitman: Well, it is a correct prayer. Continue, hold on tight, everything will be fine!

Question (Women Ukraine 2): (46:19) To me, it is very hard, all sorts of incidents in life. There are such examinations, corrections that the Creator gives that it is very hard to agree with His Providence and to justify and to receive it, to accept it. But you feel that you need to hang on to something and you hang on to the prayer to unite and to give us more strength. So, what else, what other prayer can there be to hold on? What do I need to hold on to, what do I ask the Ten for?

M. Laitman: My answer is you need to continue, no matter what, and to wait until that state will change to another state, and another state will be the next one. And at the end of the day, you will see that everything is happening in order to raise you, only to raise you. The Creator is doing everything in order to raise us to Him.

Question (Women MAK 19): (47:55) The Creator gives us thoughts and at that moment, I need to understand that He is looking at me, how do I react to this thought. If I cannot determine how to correctly build towards Him this thought?

M. Laitman: Ask Him to help you how you should behave, to tell you how you should behave. You need to be open with the Creator.

Student: (48:40) This point of equivalence of desires with the Creator, is that the point where He shows us our growing ego and we are asking Him to correct because we cannot stand it anymore, is that that point?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women Rehovot 1): (49:03) How can we justify the Creator for everything He does with us, if we, on our part, are constantly in prayer, doing everything we can. But, we are on one hand in prayer and gratitude, and if we are in these states constantly, how can we truly justify Him?

M. Laitman: You wouldn't behave this way in front of the Creator if you didn’t have any faults. So, you need to try to do work on yourself and then ask the Creator.

Question (Women MAK): (49:58) You said that love is to be incorporated in one another. That you need to be incorporated with everything that friends have, and they in everything that I have. And I think that it is possible out of great love towards Him, is that the true connection?

M. Laitman: Yes, of course. In the current state we are not in love. Depict to yourself that the Creator is between you.

Student: We need to depict this state?

M. Laitman: Yes, of course, because the Creator is between you.

Question (Petah Tikva 13): (50:50) Towards the end of the article, he says that when he sees that his faith is not right, then he needs the Creator to send it to him. What does it mean that the Creator sends him, how do we increase faith?

M. Laitman: When a person feels that he is lacking the fear of Heaven, he turns to the Creator and he asks the Creator to send him the fears of heaven.

Question (Women Kyiv): (51:22) When in the Ten there is a scrutiny and we see that our scrutiny affects each one of our friends. And it awakens some negative results, on the one hand, we decide to stop this scrutiny in order to keep the peace between us and to stop the scrutiny. And then it is left unresolved, then the question is how to go through the discernment and to also keep the peace so there won't be any negative results?

M. Laitman: Everything that is said exists in our prayer, and simply you need to ask and all the rest will connect to it.

Question (Women HEB 2): (52:31) What to do if I feel that I have done something wrong but I don't really understand what I have done wrong?

M. Laitman: I also need to ask that the Creator that will scrutinize it for me, why am I not okay, what have I done wrong, how can I correct it? To turn to the Creator with a prayer.

Student: The person needs to think about the Creator, constantly, but in the daily life there are actions that we have to do that prevent us from thinking about it. How can I connect?

M. Laitman: No, no, meanwhile you can't, and it is okay. There is nothing wrong.

Question (Women German): (53:48) I understand that the deficiency of the friends is the means for connection. How do I connect to the friends who do not show, externally, any deficiency?

M. Laitman: Simply the way they are, so as you.

Question (Woman PT 33): (54:27) About the love of friends, that we need to come to feeling the friend the way he is inside me, I am inside him and we don't feel the difference. In regard to the difference, what kind of difference between us do we need to discover that is goal-oriented, that is spiritual, that is the one who disappears?

M. Laitman: We want that the gap between us, the difference between us, the distance between us will turn into a connection between us. To turn minus into plus, then we will connect even stronger than before.

Student: Is there a gap in the opinions, in the qualities, or because we are separated bodies?

M. Laitman: Yes, the second one.

Student: And the differences and opinions stay and that is what strengthens the connection between us.?

M. Laitman: Yes, yes.

Question (Women Turkiye 7): (55:48) I think I can't really be pacified because sometimes I feel like a punching bag. I can't fulfill the condition, no matter what happens, no matter what I feel, I am going to move forward. How is it possible for me to fulfill this condition? It's very hard with the changing states.

M. Laitman: Exert in the mind and do whatever you can, I don’t see in you anything besides that. Maybe she can explain in her own words?

Reader: If I understood what the friend is describing, sometimes she feels like a punching bag because she gets a lot of blows and then it’s hard for her to continue all these conditions that we study on that we need to fulfill because it’s paralyzing her. How to continue in such a state of paralyzation whenever the Creator gives her a blow?

M. Laitman: To cry, to cry. To let it out with tears or with a prayer and by that see yourself that you come closer to the Creator, after all.

Question (Petah Tikva 35): (58:22) If I'm walking around with the feeling that I don't know if we're doing enough in the connection between us and towards Him. If we are giving Him enough contentment, if everything that I'm asking the Creator, that I truly want Him to aim me and to give Him contentment. And I'm never satisfied with this feeling or this thought that I'm giving enough contentment. Is it the building of the true fear to the Creator?

M. Laitman: That's how it is, slowly, slowly, yes.

Question (Women HEB 13): (59:32) In our Ten, we feel that we've come closer to each other, we even feel each other in a way that we already feel each other in talking and in all sorts of things. But we have difficulty with connecting with the Creator and in that, we would like you to give us some advice, a tip.

M. Laitman: It will come in the next lesson. All the best for everyone.
