Morning Lesson May 18, Transcription
1. Rav’s Introduction: Why is work with intention so important? It is actually the center of our entire study, efforts, work, actions that we do. Because what is the intention? It means to aim for our hearts to aim our desire. Our desire for the Creator as there is no other force there is none else besides Him, the only force that operates in reality and we are the created beings that He created us disconnected from Him so that we will be able to be drawn to Him, to aim ourselves towards Him. This is why the whole of creation is called from outside of His feeling, outside of creation outside of the Creator to give us this opportunity according to the Reshimo that He evokes in each of us, awakens within us at which point we begin to yearn and to see Him. If we implement these Reshimo in a correct way where we want to connect between us Where we want to find Him together so that we want to learn something from His actions in order to resemble Him somewhat. Then we actually, all day and all night to be aimed and yearn towards Him so that from every single action, every single thought that I act upon, discover, that I want all of this to be aimed towards Him, to come in closer towards him, being more similar to Him and to bring Him contentment. Then measure to measure I also received from Him even more opportunities to connect and come closer to Him. Therefore, the intentions are not just that we are doing it once a day, but rather the intention is actually what stabilizes all of the actions in life. Whereas if I want to come closer to the Creator, to discover Him, to feel Him and be adhered to Him then with that thought I need to do all the actions I do in life. It doesn't matter, just like it's written while you sleep and when you wake up, while you walk on the path and so on and so forth. Meaning any given moment in any single action I need to somehow join the Creator there, the one source for all of reality and if I try to do so, try to stabilize myself in such a manner then it is certain that I will receive help from Him. This too is with my intention. His help will be revealed in the fact that I will feel Him more and more as much as I yearn towards Him. I will feel that He yearns towards me. That is called I for my beloved and my beloved from me in a mutual manner and then it turns out that the intention is not some small addition that we forget about but rather it is the incline, the tendency from the center of my heart within which I define the constant touch and contact between me and the Creator between us. For this contact to be aimed correctly towards the Creator other than my egoistic desire, the Creator created external conditions here that create the egoistic tendency within me so that slowly, slowly from that I become one with the intention in order to bestow. If my friends, if I our mutual work is like that, we begin to locate more and more precise, permanence and correct attitude towards there is none else besides Him and to see Him as He is the first and He is the last in all of our guidance, in all of our aims and all of our intentions. This is how we come to reveal Him with all of our senses, with all of our spiritual senses. Meaning for this to be in order to bestow just like I for my beloved and my beloved for me in a mutual way and in a mutual yearning between us and this is how we enter the world of truth, eternality. It all depends upon the efforts that we have, the more that we stabilize ourselves in the right way. This work is daily and the work needs each time to be renewed. One will help his friend, as we need to support one another through this, to embrace one another because only together we stabilize between us the concept called the Creator and aim ourselves correctly to Him. Meaning to the correct place in the right way and it is possible only if to start with, we are concerned with being in building this intention, all of us together. This is actually our progress in the matter of intentions. So, if you have to ask something in regard to what I said go ahead.
2. S. (08.02) What does it mean to always be in the direction to the Creator, permanently?
R. To be permanently aimed to the Creator is considered that I try to build myself in every action, in every thought, and every desire that I have in which I am it to Him. Then it turns out, in me there is no thought, words, or action if I am not aimed towards Him. If I'm not aimed toward Him, it's a sign, I'm in the degree of still, vegetative, or animal, and also in them, much more than me, there is more of a natural connection with the upper force. I must with all of my forces, thoughts, speech and action, desire, I have to aim them all to the Creator as it is written, ‘in order to bring contentment,’ but what is ‘to bring contentment’? Just like He created creation in order to do good to His created beings, to His creatures, so I in return need to be with all of my actions of the creature in order to benefit the Creator to do, to go to the Creator. This is how we will connect together with similar relations, good ones towards one another.
S. If I understood you correctly, in order to aim myself at the Creator, I need to change my reality from thinking about the friends to thinking about the Creator, and the friends in the 10 - it nullifies me?
R. If I try to aim myself with all that I do, as I want by this to come closer to see all the Creator, to feel the Creator, to be inclined towards Him. To send through this to Him from me my good attitude towards Him then if so, I, by this come closer to Him and Him to me until we begin to reveal one another. Of course, this is me who is revealing. On His behalf there is no concealment, He fills all of reality, the force, the quality of bestowal. But to the extent I try to bestow to Him with all of my opportunities, by that, I come closer to Him. I get up in the morning, whatever I do there, I wash myself, I get dressed, I eat, I go to work, I do the work, I enter a store somewhere, I go back home and take care of my family, no matter what I do. Whatever I do, I do it all accompanying it with my intention to bring contentment to Him by this.
S. Can I bring Him contentment like that in these actions that seemed remote from Him? With the 10 it is clear in our mutual bestowal, our love, our prayer. But how do you bestow to the Creator through that?
R. If I take it in that the Creator is the one who spins all of reality, creates all of my life and every moment in life takes place only because He put it before me this picture, then there is no problem for me any given moment, any crumb of sensation that I have correlate it all back to Him. As I want through my reception of my world in the right way to thank Him, to give back to Him. Because through every small and smallest detail that I have in my reality, I can come closer to Him through it, I can identify with him. Therefore, it is not important what you do. You can brush your teeth, you can get dressed, you can walk, you can sit down and eat and work in all kinds of jobs, the intention needs to always accompany all of your actions in a manner in which you are aimed through all of reality and especially through your entire 10 to the Creator.
3. S. (13:48) You speak of intention as something that is easy, like I brush my teeth, I do something, but the intention I had yesterday is not the same as I had today. Today, I tried to gather more strength but I can't. Most of the time I forget, also, this intention. I don't see the reason why. I really need to know what the intention is.
R. Any given moment there is a new moment, a new force that is operating on me, otherwise we wouldn't identify that it is a new moment, and therefore every given moment we need to have a new intention, a change. So that is more and more that I am holding onto the upper force from which I receive life with all that there is, with all of its wrappings of life, and I relate to Him through all of these wrappings because He is the source of life. This is how I am locked it all the time. And I have no problem with this. To the contrary, it is called ‘I am playing with Him’, ‘I for my beloved and my beloved to me’. That's how it works.
4. S. (15:38) If I aim myself correctly at the Creator, here are external conditions that shaped this inclination to make the intention to bestow. What are these external conditions?
R. That is our whole life, it’s our whole reality where I am in life from morning until night. What does it mean that I feel the world that I live in? The Creator is establishing all kinds of pictures for me that are passing through my mind and it seems to me that I am living in some movie. That’s our life. And why was I given that? The Creator projects this movie of this world to us so that upon this movie we will arrange our actions towards Him. Then, by me really each time sorting my tendency towards Him, every moment that I live my life, this movie, then it turns out that eventually I adhere to Him. And I come to such adhesion in which the whole world disappears, dissipates and I feel that it exists so that I will make it go away so that this concealment, Olam from the word He’elem (world), from the word ‘concealment’ -- so I will remove it and reveal the Creator in a completely frontal manner before me where I and Him become one. That concealment becomes the connection between us.
5. S. (18:02) At first, we talked about establishing the intention in the 10. How do we do this together?
R. That we still need to talk about it and to learn. There are two things in this, eternal and external. External thing where we help externally in examples to one another in as much as we try to be adhered with intention to do everything for the Creator towards Him, towards His delight and how through that we need to connect. The whole of the wisdom of Kabbalah is in this because we don't have anything else towards the Creator, then the right intention towards the Creator. Through this we will see how the spiritual world that we are learning, let’s say in TES, and in other sources, how and what the spiritual world speaks about. Upon which intentions do we come to certain connections with the Creator. Because we have the desire to receive and above the desire to receive is the intention, the restriction, Masach, Ohr Hozer and then, beyond that, we reveal the Creator in accordance with our intention. Where we place it above our desire. Ohr Hozer is our intention towards the Creator according to the equivalence of this Ohr Hozer, our intention towards the Creator, and His intention toward the created beings, Ohr Yashar, accordingly we start to feel Him until we reveal adhesion to Him.
S. If before we talked about the intention, we spoke a lot about personal examples, the friends in several actions, how do I give a personal example, here?
R. First of all, by being in the 10, operating through my 10, I awaken them and all the rest of the 10s because it is all one system. The fact that we’re not revealing it as such doesn’t mean we are not in it. We are in all of those things only these connections towards us, they just appeared and this is called ‘sin of the tree of knowledge,’ the sin of Adam HaRishon. It is not that we are truly cut off from one another but only relative to our perception. It is all relative to an attaining person, one that is in our world.
6. S. (21:17) How to believe that I have the right intention? Me, myself, not in the 10? What’s my indication for the right intention?
R. We need to see this out of our experience because each time we speak about something else and something else. We are entering the world of intentions because we have nothing more than that. There is the Creator, which is the general force of bestowal, there is the desire to receive that He created outside of Him, and there is the attitude of the Creator to the will to receive that He created from the desire to bestow of the Creator. And there needs to be our attitude from our desire to receive, a desire to bestow in return to the Creator. The desire to bestow the Creator and our desire are opposites but the intentions of the Creator to bestow to us, and with our intentions to bestow to the Creator, we need to be similar. For us, this intention is built by the restriction, the Masach, Ohr Hozer, by many actions against the desire, against the original desire of ours where I need to stop using the desire to receive in order to receive and move with it to working in order to bestow, to receive in order to bestow. Through this we come closer to the Creator and begin to feel one another. We start to understand the Creator and this is how, until we reach adhesion with Him, it all depends upon our intention.
7. S. (23:42) What does it mean there's none else besides Him?
R. None else besides Him is something that we discover slowly, slowly according to our ability to come closer to the Creator. And by us constantly stabilizing our intention towards the Creator, then accordingly we start to become closer to one another. We can't truly come closer to one another except for on this corporeal level where we seemingly come close but to come close to the Creator the meaning is that we aim towards Him and then with our intentions towards Him we begin to connect. The Creator connects our intention towards Him, into one intention, and by that accordingly we become a spiritual Partzuf. We become a spiritual Partzuf and start to feel through this spiritual world our reality as being together. This is called ‘one receives one.’ To the extent in which we reveal the Creator, we reveal ourselves as one. Or to the extent we discover us, the 10 as one, we revealed Him, that He is before us as One.
8. S. (26:06) What can we do to avoid having our ego deceive us in our intention in the 10?
R. We just need to aim ourselves to the Creator, each and every one more and more in every single action, just like we are talking about it today, and then we’ll discover that by this we can help one another. Such that the work that each of us does out of being included in the system of Adam HaRishon and of one another, we start to also bestow to one another. If we don't do this action of reception but rather an action of bestowal, meaning with the intention to bestow, then by that we awaken the one and only system. And that is how we advance. That's how it is.
9. S. (27:41) You talked about our tendency to reveal the Creator and be close to Him. Also, in states where it’s if it doesn't go through the 10 but things from our daily life. I was always fearful of such work that maybe it hurts the intention of connection. That everything is attained only through our intention from the connection in the 10 so that I don't work towards the Creator individually. Can you strengthen an understanding, explain how these two things can strengthen each other?
R. These are not two works, it’s as aiming all of our pulses, all of our beats to the Creator and by each of us aiming himself to Him, by this, I need to connect more between us, which will really cause an action towards the Creator in reality and not just to the air. If we don't connect truly between us, we don't transfer our efforts towards Him. The Creator is called the’ inclusive one’, meaning all of our efforts in relating to Him have not come to the correct result towards Him. If we don't want to connect with these efforts together. That’s called ‘a cry in the desert,’ if a person does it on his own. And for us to come to the Creator we must connect. Meaning if I, let’s say like we talked today, throughout all my actions from morning until night, even the smallest ones and the biggest ones, it doesn’t matter which. If in these actions I aim to the Creator to bring Him contentment then in these actions I need to see how I connect with others to bring Him contentment. Because I myself am not capable of doing that, simply in order to come to the Creator I must have more friends. Then I discover my inclination towards the Creator can take place under the condition that I am connected with my friends according to the quality and quantity of connection between us. Otherwise, it is not our work but rather it is simply just like that. I need to see how my work with the intention, day after day, appears to me as more important and essential, as surrounding this point of bringing contentment to the Creator, that all of our actions revolve around that. Where each and every action I measure whether I am bringing contentment by that or not. Because in accordance with ‘I beloved and my beloved to me,’ meaning as much as I want to bestow to the Creator and as much as He wants to bestow to me, this is where we meet and I begin to discover the Creator. It works out that the work with the intention in the 10 is actually that tendency, that work, effort, the main effort that I do towards the upper force and reveal Him, to enter Him into a complete and eternal state of mind.
10. S. (32:14) Where does our free will relate to our intention?
R. The desire is we can't do anything with it, it awakens and dims out. The desire to receive is altogether from all of the desires that are revealed from the system of Adam HaRishon but the intention is upon us to do. Where I need to try each time is to stabilize myself, to aim myself towards the Creator. Where I do this action in order to come closer to Him, to send Him my heart. That is why the main thing for us is not the desire but the intention. And the desires we don't choose, the Creator is the one who awakens our desire, our heart, and we don't need to do any scrutiny on this. I don't care, it is not important to me what desires now awaken in me as long as the intention that I want to correct with every single desire that it is revealed, my attitude towards the Creator. To make Him in the use of it -- in every desire that awakens in me -- to bring Him contentment through it. This is especially revealed in the fact that I first try to be connected upon each new desire upon my friends.
11. (34:22) Is gratitude a necessary component for the right intention?
R. Yes, gratitude must be a necessary expression for the right intention because I, all together, it is written that a person must ‘bless the good the same is the bad’, where it doesn't matter what I receive, I receive from the system I am in and I must correct, therefore, that which is revealed in me. This is how we need to try and accept every moment in life.
12. S. (35:26) What does it mean that I discover that on the Creator’s part, there is no concealment?
R. Yes, I can discover that the Creator is not concealed but He is revealed and I, with my intentions, the correct ones or the incorrect ones, either reveal Him or conceal Him. The Creator is the upper light that fills all of reality, He is not concealed, but the restriction is done upon our will to receive so that we will rise above the restriction and in our desire to receive, but will be with the intention to bestow, to the extent of that intention. we will reveal the Creator.
13. S. (36:25) The restrictions screen and reflected light, does it have an expression in the corporeal world?
R. We can say that but not exactly, we need to do this upon our desires as much as possible. What is the corporeal world and the egoistic will to receive, is I need to do a restriction on it and a screen and reflected light and to use these desires to bestow.
S. How do you become a master of your egoistic intention?
R. By paying attention and efforts.
14. S. (37:23) We need to have intentions towards the Creator as well as actions, how will we not make a mistake in choosing the actions?
R. The action isn't so important, the intention is important, you need to first stabilize the intention and then do the action if there is a need for it. Usually there are many things that end with the intention because intention in spirituality is the action.
S. (38:13) If you want to feel the greatness of the Creator how do we need to relate to Him through opposite forms, negative forms that we see?
R. Because we understand what we see in an opposite way is because our egoistic desire inverts our entire attitude towards the Creator from good to bad, this is why it is called the evil inclination, according to its quality it inverts everything too bad. When we come to its correction, then together we use this desire only in a direction that is not inverting the attitude of the Creator to its opposite, that the inversion does not happen.
15. S. (39:18) I heard in the efforts we make in the individual intentions that the Creator comes and connects those into one, secondly that we can't do it without connecting first, how do we put this in the right order?
R. No, we simply need to do what we talked about, here what we spoke about seems to be as you are mistaken for what we are talking about. Hear it again and you will see that you understand more.
16. S. (40:04) The new desire that awakens our Reshimot record, is there no intention included in it?
R. The desire awakens within the egoistic intention, it’s not that it doesn't have an intention it has an egoistic intention for me to use it so that my ego will enjoy, and I then need to try and stop it and above this desire to build my attitude towards the Creator. As I want to know, by my action to bring him contentment and by this I establish my attitude towards Him. It's not important what action I do. I need to wake up, wash myself, get dressed, go to work, do all kinds of tasks, go shopping and come back home, all kinds of things. The question is whether every single moment that I do these actions, regular actions from our life as every person does. Whether I, according to these actions aim myself, my heart where I want especially and specifically from within them to bring Him contentment. I don't need to do different actions, I just need to constantly be connected with my intention towards Him, whereas I make my life into a life where I want every single moment in life, just like I received from Him every single moment to aim every moment in life back to Him. This is where I am living this moment right now, this is for you, and this is for you, and so on. Then I start to come to a state where I am connected to Him and in the connection that I placed between us now on my behalf, from my effort that I start to feel this mutual connection between us and I come to the revelation of the Creator to the created being. You need to hear our discussion from the beginning of the lesson, the first half-hour hour of the lesson today, to hear it again and try to implement and realize this.
17. S. (43:26) The address to the Creator needs to be collective as one man with one heart and on the other hand we start from a state that we don't feel this single heart starting from myself, so the request to feel the one heart is this accepted even though it's for myself?
R. To do it, before you ask, do all that we talked about, trying like a little child that nothing works out for him, but he continues to try making great efforts to not let go, to succeed nevertheless and then you will succeed, learn from the little children.
S. I'm trying but I run into the wall.
R. Wonderful, continue and pray.
18. S. (44:38) When we do these actions, or at least try to maintain this intention, we suddenly discover that you can do this, and there is a pleasant moment but, in that moment, you are thrown to whatever. This pleasant moment just goes into your will to receive, how to maintain this correctly?
R. If you are completely directed towards bringing contentment to the Creator, then you need to not be too influenced by that, but rather you enjoy the fact that you have a tendency towards the Creator and from this you receive a pleasant feeling but you need to work prior to that pleasant feeling so it won't spoil your life and according to the feeling of pleasant or not pleasant, you need to know that you are connected to the Creator because you are observing your intention in your life, that your entire life needs to be connected to the upper spiritual root. From this you stabilize all reality which spreads all of the forces and desires and your relations from the Creator towards you. And you give all of reality back to the same one source and that reality becomes the spiritual world.
19. S. (46:33) I heard you say everything we do that we try to bring contentment to the Creator, even when brushing our teeth, or walking, the question is what is the connection to the 10, to the group, how do I connect those desires all together?
R. That each and every one, each and every action, in each and every moment that one is doing, or what one is going through, you are designing and aiming this towards the Creator, that you are getting this from the Creator and so this way each and everyone wants to be connected to the same work, to the same intention, the same inclination.
S. To aim for the Creator, I can imagine that I am bringing him contentment but, what is the connection with brushing the teeth or to go for a walk? What is the connection between that and the 10, how do I put them in there?
R. Each 10 that will be directed at the Creator in this way, each and every one of you, this connects all of you to your one and only single source, you are already connected to one source. What happens is that this is called our heart will rejoice in Him, meaning by all of us yearning for the one source we start to feel the connection between us. Basically, we don't feel connected between us, we speak, we hug, we dance, we are sing, it is all fine but it is not connected. The kind of connection we speak about is that which comes through the Creator. He is our source, that we all come from Him and so when we want to connect to Him, we also feel an inclination to connect between us. We can also try to connect between us but it can be an effort and it's good to do this effort but it's not more than this, in this correct intention is at each one is trying to adhere to the Creator and in this adhesion, we discover the friends along the way to connect between us, ultimately in Him we all connect.
S. Each needs to have the desire to aim for the Creator, maybe I did not understand you correctly but by this we are canceling ourselves towards the general desire?
R. You try to think about it yourself and you will understand it better.
20. S. (50:16) In relation to what we’re talking about now, we are breathing but we’re not all aware of it. At a certain moment I become conscious that I am breathing with that intention that we are talking about. Can I express to the Creator gratitude because I am breathing or can I devote this breath for you in order to rejoice you?
R. For me, you can't do it and it's not worthwhile and there's no point in doing but towards the Creator, yes. That every breath, every moment in life we want to be connected to Him because He is the source of life, from Him, we get the sense of life, the feeling that we are alive and that we exist, the feeling that He creates us. In this way we need to go back to Him.
21. S. (51:51) If the reforming light corrects our intention, how do we feel this in our corporeal vessels?
R. I don't know what corporeal vessels are, we're not going to feel it in our world to receive. We're going to feel it only in establishing the will to bestow. The upper light is felt only in our corrected vessels to bestow.
22. S. (52:42) Do I need to constantly remember the Creator or the 10?
R. We first need to think about the Creator who is the goal of our spiritual development, the source of life, everything. And in order to discover, reach, bring Him contentment, to be connected to Him, we need to 10. All of our actions are through the 10, the goal of these actions is to reach the Creator.
23. S. (53:45) How can we aim our intention to bring contentment to the Creator correctly when we are carrying out our normal everyday lives? When we're in the 10 it is clear through our work that we aim to connect but how do we do that in our everyday lives?
R. It is up to you. How are you with your own thoughts, your own desires, you with yourself? All of the spiritual work is inner work, it is not seen on the outside, it's hidden from the others, and therefore, that's why it's called the ‘wisdom of the hidden’. Try each and every moment to take all of your desires and intention and aim all of that towards the Creator -- this is it, there is no more than that, altogether. The more that we do, the more that we study about it, work on it, the work itself will become more concrete, more practical, to-the-point, focused or more sharply directed.
24. S. (55:10) Do we need to try to build the right intention not from fear but gratitude?
R. Of course, this is how we want to aim to the Creator not out of fear but out of gratitude and love, out of good. From the bad, you can't aim at the Creator, it is impossible. You're not going to have a contact point with the Creator if you have a bad feeling.
25. S. (55:53) Meaning if I brush my teeth or I go to the gym, I am sustaining my body in order to have the strength to work with the Creator in the group? If I go shopping and buy food to eat or I work to have money, my head is always to that so how can I hold on to that every moment?
R. This is your problem, how you maintain this. We're saying that you need to so, look for ways of how to do this. You need to have some things that you repeat, the preparation for the lesson a few times a day, don't ask me how. I'm not giving you all kinds of advice. You can find the advice in the writings but you have to achieve this.
26. S. (56:55) You said the intentions are on us. Does the Creator not illuminate and format in me the intentions, desires, lacks? If He does this directly to me, does He do this directly on me or through the friends?
R. Both, this and that.
27. S. (57:24) What do I need to do if I feel that I really enjoy when I am with the 10? It seems like it is an egoistic feeling and I'm worried about this.
R. It is truly an egoistic feeling, true, but it still gives you the opportunity to advance, Advance towards bestowing to them this pleasant feeling and give it back to them. This is already bestowing.
28. S. (58:22) What is the connection that exists between the intention and the Masach (screen)?
R. The Masach is only guarding my will to receive so that I work above it, above in order to receive so that I work in order to bestow, this is the screen. The intention I can have to the extent that I have the screen. The intention is the result of the screen, if we are talking about the spiritual intention, that is.
29. S. (59:19) In the intention in the 10 I see if it's easy if I see a friend is not corrected and I nullify and connect with them and slowly see them as lovers, bestowers. But in the external world, do I also need to see that the world is loving and giving? how can I examine myself that it’s like that?
R. You are going to start getting discernment from above to see whether your intentions are correct or not. That’s not clarified yet, I understand you.
30. S. (1:00:04) If I understood correctly, you said that above each desire, we need throughout the day to succeed in building this structure of Tzimtzum, restriction, Masach and Ohr Hozer. How do we do this?
R. It is not correct that we need to make a construction above every desire. We need to work in a more general way, perhaps. That I always want to be connected to the Creator. And all of my thoughts and desires that pass through me, I need to relate them to Him, that it comes to me from Him. Then how do I need to respond that I identified that it comes from Him? I don't identify that it comes from Him yet but I envision that to myself. That all of my thoughts and desires, my mind and heart receive their fulfillment from the Creator. The question is how do I respond to the upper source, to the Creator from what I feel in my mind and heart? I need to respond in a way that, first of all, there is none else besides Him. That what I receive in my mind and heart, I receive from His desire to do good to me. Now I need to try to find how do I respond, meaning being grateful to Him, as it is called that ‘one should be grateful for the bad as he blesses for the good,’ and understand that the correct response to what I received from the Creator, whether it is good or bad, my response should be gratitude. I want to try to rise above what I received from Him with a force of bestowal in return, that is all for now. Later on, we will learn how to do this if we actually feel bad, how to turn the bad to good.
S. Meaning if, to the contrary, He gives you some pleasure and you can enjoy it but you want to bestow to Him?
R. We need to live in the intention. It doesn't matter to me what I feel for myself, I need to feel whatever I feel and above that build my intention. That all of it is to bring contentment back to the Creator, that is what needs to happen.
31. S. (1:03:33) Is asking for the friends enough for their right intention to be established in them?
R. Yes. Try. You all are trying to get some answers for me that you can be using for all eternity. My answers to you are for now. That you are going to use it now and advance, and by that, begin to learn your lessons from your actions, from your intentions.
32. S. (1:04:24) How in this work that you described for us, it seems that it is my work with the upper desire to the Creator. How do I put the 10 inside this? Where in the thought and the intention do I put the 10?
R. Bit by bit, you will be able to add the 10 to it as well. Each and every one trying to do this in the 10, you will then start feeling connected in your intentions, in your intentions. Surely your desires and thoughts are different, as it is written, ‘as their faces differ their thoughts, their views differ as well, their desires differ’ but you will be able to be connected at the level of intention. Meaning from each and everyone, from each and every desire and thought you have, you want to aim at the Creator and that connects all of you, all of your intentions for the Creator are connected into a single intention in such a way that all is clarified in thought, in the intention.
S. It's impossible to feel the desires in what the friends are doing because I work before the Creator alone so it’s not clear where that connects.
R. Until you connect with the Creator you also don't feel each other.
33. S. (1:06:00) Can I be sure of the quality of the intention if I consciously aim to bestow just for bestowing or is my ego still holding on to me?
R. You can try to do whatever you want with your actions or intentions but to be certain that they are true and correct, you will be able to only if you connect in the 10 and to some extent to connect with the Creator. Then the upper light, to the extent that it fills your connection, the Kli, you will then feel how much you are in the truth.
34. S. (1:07:08) Every time we attain a certain ascent it seems we are in the right intention but then it's revealed it was all for ourselves and that's how it is each time. Where is the truth here?
R. You haven't reached the truth yet but you are on the way. Listen more, learn more and do what we say.
35. S. (1:07:50) To aim every action to the Creator, is this to aim every action to the 10 in the thought of the 10?
R. No, it's not the same thing. We want to be aimed at the Creator. In order to be aimed at the Creator, we turn to the 10 and thus we talk about how we are meeting with both the 10 and the Creator at a single point. This is called ‘Israel, the light and the Creator are one.
36. S. (1:08:36) What do I do if I see that my response is bad towards the Creator?
R. With intention, with the prayer that your intention will change, yes of course, otherwise why do we work with the intentions? We want to correct them, we want to correct our attitude as we have nothing to work on, besides the intention as the will to receive was created by the Creator, the will to bestow is given by the upper light and what we need to do is to just create the right relationship from the will to receive so that it works in order to bestow. This is all about intention, this is why I am saying from the moment you wake up in the morning and brush your teeth and do all kinds of things until you go to sleep at night, you always try to maintain the right intention to words the Creator to bring Him contentment. Even if you don't know what it is, how to do it, just say that you want to do it.
S. Is that also managed by the creator?
R. Is there anyone else besides the Creator?
37. S. (01:10:58) In my efforts towards the correct intentions in the 10, how can I avoid increasing my egoism?
R. Don't think about your ego. Think about how you want to come closer to the Creator and do everything for him. That you want to be in front of him all the time, as it says I have seen the Creator in front of me at all times. Whether your intentions are better or worse it doesn't matter as long as you try to always position yourself towards the Creator, facing the Creator as you want to discover Him so try to see Him facing you and you demand to discover Him, you want to discover Him.
38. S. (01:12:09) Everything is clarified in the thought, who is the thought mine are the 10s?
R. Yours.
Letter 18 Baal HaSulam (01:12:43) One has no choice but to direct all present and future ... one has to be offered and presented to his great name.”
R. Amen means Emet Truth.
Excerpt 8 (01:13:23 -01:14:12)
Excerpt 9 (01:14:28- 01:16:21) twice
Excerpt 10 (01:16:24 -01:18:32)
39. R. Meaning always aim oneself towards the goal and by that clarify all of the incidents of life.
Excerpt 11 (01:17:16 - 01:18:31)
40. R. Meaning our goal is not to cancel the will to receive, not to erase it, not to make myself 0 like I don't want anything if I don't want anything I become nothing. We just need to reverse our intention the way we use a little to receive and one who is greater than his friend whose inclination is greater than himself we just have to think about the intention and the will to receive can grow even better it can give me only an even greater spiritual degree.
41. S. (01:19:18) How is the personal correction I do in my daily life, how does that change my state of humanity?
R. Because we are all connected through a single system and if I am closer to the Creator, I become that conduit from the Creator to them and vice-versa, so then if we don't think about it then I can incorporate with the public and absorbed their hopes, their desires, aspirations, intentions, correct them inside of me and raise them to the Creator and then to bring from the Creator back to them.
42. S. (01:20:14) How can we express the concept of Torah towards connection?
R. Torah means the upper light that comes to correct our desires, the intentions over our desires that light is called Torah, meaning the force that corrects the person is called Torah.
43. S. (01:20:58) In excerpt ten, it is not clear to me.
Rav: Let’s read it again: " The heart aims to follow the words and the Creator seeks the heart and since the point in His heart is here to me, he needs nothing more than to repeat the actions. These are needed and appropriate only for those of little knowledge you have no other way."
R. The Creator awakens that desires and we have to make certain that the way that we take care of these desires, that we work with these desires that it will be as though they are desires to bestow. Meaning to resemble the creators so that He awakens our desires to receive within us and by using the intention to bestow we need to do this work even though it is with desires to receive it ends up being in order to bestow, this is our whole correction. The correction is about the intention, that at first it was an intention to receive naturally and then we transform it in order to bestow and the Creator awakens such desires and qualities and circumstances that can join our new intention to bestow each time more and more. That is how we grow.
44. S. (01:23:17) Do we need to want the Creator to cancel the concealment?
R. We don't need to ask for canceling the concealment, we need to ask for rising above the concealment, that despite the concealment we want to work even more in order to bestow and then the concealment disappears as it enters spiritual revelation in order to bestow. When I enter bestowal, it helps me, the concealment helps me to be in bestowal because how do I know that I am? I don't see a thing but yet I bestow.
S. In our state, today, and we are in concealment but I do my work and it turns out that sometimes the concealment disappears and a person calms down or is no longer in that effort.
R. We need to always try to not care about the concealment but bestowing above the concealment come I can't tell you more but only in this way can we be saved from all of the blows.
45. S. (01:25:00) We learned that we do not change our qualities only the intentions
R. Yes question
S. If I am a rude person and I don't smile at my friends will I always stay in this place?
R. It is possible that you might need to do actions that are much greater and more actions then the friends, it depends on your desire to receive but if you integrate, incorporate with them you will basically go through all of the path together with them. It depends upon your level of subjugation towards the friends like Rabash writes.
S. I do need to be smiling and not be rude?
R. I didn't say that you don't need to be a clown, you need to try to be more adhered to the Creator, you don't know what that is as there is no Creator, it is like air to you, it is something that you can't find. Do you need to be adhered to with friends and by creating adhesion with the friends you start feeling that that also is like air, it is like this evasive Creator, but that here you have an opportunity to establish this concept before you and stick to it. you can't get to adhesion with the Creator if not through adhesion with the created beings.
46. S. (01:27:03) The result of what we spoke about is that we need to see the Creator and every single moment, to sustain the intention and also when I see you right now, I have to hold on to this intention?
R. Of course, how otherwise?
