Part 3:

Baal HaSulam. "Study of the Ten Sefirot" (TES). Vol. 1. Part 4. Chapter One. #11 ("However, although we have explained")

Item 400, Part 1 (01:28): “You will understand that from what is written in part 1 there are four phases…”

1. S. (03:03) How can there be one light divided into ten Sefirot?

R. If the light doesn't reach the receiver so it becomes as one that comes out from the Creator, if we can even say that: that the light comes from the Creator and goes to the created being, into the Kli of the created being, but actually yes. He's one.

S. How can the white a Malchut?

R. According to the feeling, as much as Malchut restricts herself, screen and reflected light, and then Malchut resembles Keter, it is like Keter of reflected light and then according to that Malchut receives the light, receives it in order to bestow it is not opposed to the Keter.

S. Yes, so that's the question and he writes here what you just talked about that the Partzuf has ten Sefirot and here it says no, that Malchut has one light come to it.

R. That is for now it’s keeping it short before the light comes to Malchut it passes all the discernments before it, from the worlds of Ein Sof.

2. S. (04:46) The fact that parts of the vessel are not equal because they're distant, is that the recognition of evil?

R. here we cannot speak about it yet because the ego isn’t revealed yet, you have to restrict, screen, reflected light and bestow from below upward, that is why there's still it is not a question yet.

3. S. (05:27) What's the connection: Why do we say that there are ten Sefirot in the light? Where does that come from, how does it happen?
R. Because the light that comes from the emanator must come to meet the emanated being, and it goes through all those discernments that are between Him and the emanated being.

S. When the light strikes the screen, what does the screen do? Is there a connection between the four phases of the direct light and the ten Sefirot?

R. You're speaking as if you never heard or read anything.

S. It is not that I didn't hear anything but…

R. So be more precise with your question.

S. What is the connection between the 10 Sefirot and the four phases of the direct flight?

R. When we speak about the vessel with no light without working with the light, we are speaking about phases. When we speak about the vessel that already work with the upper light; in restriction, coupling by striking, reflected light, connection, then we already speak about Sefirtot.

S. And, that basically means that the screen tries to clothe the ten Sefirot over it?

R. Yes.

4. S. (07:04) Why is it important that the departure of the light from the vessels, what is the benefit?

R. The departure of the light and then the expansion in the vessels is what is important to us because it is renewing: Every time, a new light and a new vessel. The departure and again a new light and a new vessel, and departure again, until we go through all these states from below upward we get a greater, and greater, a bigger and more correct vessel and the light in it also becomes greater.

5. S. (07:49) Wanted to ask if there is the difference between Akudim and an inner light, and if there is what is the difference?

R. All the light that is accepted in Malchut in order to give is called the light of Akudim.

S. But only in the world of AK, not in Atzilut?

R. Only in Adam Kadmon, yes. afterwards there are already Nekudim and Brudim. We have three degrees of the expansion of the lights and the vessel: Akudim, Nekudim, Brudim.

6. S. (08:35) He says here “without the ten Sefirot we have no perception in the light, if it is not clothed in the vessel”. What is the light clothing in vessels?

R. That the light in order to reach the feeling of the vessels has to go through all the phases between it and the vessel, and it turns out that we have the source which is the Keter, the receiver that is the Malchut and all the Sefirot between Keter and Malchut are in order to change, to prepare the vessel and the light so that the light is accepted in the vessel.

S. Do we as humans do that or is it automatic?

R. It is created by the relation between light and vessel.

7. S. (09:37) Just don't understand: Can we say that the light comes in a condensed way as a potential that is imprinted in the vessel when the vessel is revealed it becomes ten Sefirot?

R. Yes. Yes.

Reading Chapter 2 (10:03)

8. R. (11:14) Meaning of the lights that depart the vessels during their departure they draw the light from above downward into the vessel in an additional light; that is called Reflected Light. Meaning the reflected light, here, supposedly it says that it is going from above downward even though the tendency of the vessel is from below upward.

Reader continues, Or Pnimi, letter Aleph (11:42)

Or Pnimi, Letter Bet (13:17)

9. R. (14:30) Meaning the lights wherever they may be, they always leave a record behind them and that record helps the vessel later on to advance and perform all kinds of actions.

10. S. (14:53) I didn't understand why in the previous article, in the letter Aleph, Ohr Pnimi, why the light that descends from above downward after the departures is called Ohr Hozer, isn't it the other way around from Malchut to Keter?

R. The light always comes from above downward. But the question is what the tendency is of what is happening: When the screen refines itself from below upwards so the light that comes it still comes from above downwards. The lights always come from above downward.

11. S. (15:40) This description of the record, that is an illumination. What is this illumination, usually there is a vessel and the light and here there’s another thing?

R. Of course. We always have a record, an impression, always. Whenever something appears an impression remains. That place is called the vessel itself, a desire, that in that desire there was some impression from the appearance of the Creator in it and that leaves an impression. Now this desire wants to come back to it or to keep extending it, but it is natural, we also see it in our world; every action leaves an impression.

S. But what is this quality in the desire to leave a record, where is it left?

R. Of course, it's in each one of us. It is natural: That if the will to receive would get an impression from something that filled it so that form of the will to receive and the fulfillment, it somewhat remains forever. Only disappears from the feeling of the vessel in the clear way because now the vessel is in your desire. But the previous desire is obviously there, and again can awaken and recuperate and reach a state that the vessel will know it again.

Not that we remember all kinds of things, you walk into someplace suddenly you smell something, some scent and that scent reminds you of something that you were somewhere else completely and you used to smell that same smell. Look how it goes around let's say and there are all kinds of forms like that; a record is something very important, it reminds you of a state. The state of self is included by light and vessel and many more discernments.

That is why the Creator from above downward, builds all the degrees and all the fillings and then when the records come from each and everything, the created being can rise upon those degrees from this world up to Ein Sof. Where do we have to rise from, from just the desire being revealed? In the desire there is a record with all the details, nothing is lacking, and in this way we know we can ascend back to the Malchut of Ein Sof.

S. These degrees of ascent are records of our previous states?

R. Yes. We rise upon the records and that is why we know. How can we be sure we reach Gmar Tikkun, final correction? Because we are already in those records, we just want to add a desire to it but in these records that we rise to Gmar Tikkun they are already there and the state of Gmar Tikkun itself is there, just when we get there we add our own desires in it.

S. For example, we say that we ascend in a degree of connection between us. For instance the next degree of our connection in the ten is some kind of Reshimo that exists?

R. You awaken the light and the light awakens the records.

12. S. (20:00) Our record is the software of the Creator?

R. Of course. Everything is the software of the Creator.

S. We're not part of it? It’s only from the Creator?

R. We participate by awakening these states.

Info: (20:22) Friends, we are inviting you to register for the very important congress and make sure that all your friends in the ten are registered. If anyone has any difficulty please help them. Let’s all register to the congress on august 27th, 28th in the link below. I’de like to tell you something very pleasant: Friends, starting this week and until the congress we are going to have Arvut meetings. Meetings for the whole world Kli, meeting with all the friends, all the tens. Join us on zoom, at 5:45am Israel time. We are meeting for 15 or 20 minutes for a ‘festival of joy’. Thank you very much.

Rav: (22:28) I'm very impressed by the Congress that is coming, it is the first Congress from the 9th of Av, that sad day. I am very happy that Latin America is taking charge of it. It is a nice sign, I am with you with heart and soul.

Rav: (23:21) The main thing is to feel every moment that we're adding adding pennies and pennies of exertion into the connection, the general connection which is the purpose of creation; that our world from a shattered form has to reach a form where it is whole and we need to cause that. So let's try and think about that and push it from all our heart to the connection of the hearts, good luck.
