Topic of the Middle Line - Selected Excerpts, #8

1. Rav’s Introduction:

The middle line is truly the invention of the Creator. It's the godly invention because, there in the middle line, we bring together the two forces of nature, positive and negative, giving and receiving, love and hate, rejection and attraction. Everything that exists in reality both in the upper world which is a world of bestowal and in the lower world which is a world of reception, in connecting the two, we don't cancel each other out, rather we try to compliment each other which seems to be impossible. How could it be? Water and fire, hatred and love? How can such things come together and in a middle line? So, they live together and exist together and there's nothing redundant in all of reality created by the Creator. There's nothing that is missing, that is needed to add in order to create perfection. We don't understand that in our world. People always try to eliminate bad things and only bring the good things to their lives and that's a bad approach, that's the wrong approach. On the contrary, our study, our whole method in Kabbalah, why is it called the hidden wisdom? Because we have to bring together all the opposites of nature to be one and without one oppressing or suppressing or taking control of the other but rather through their connection, through their merger, through their integration, they recognize that one cannot be without the other. In fact, only the correct connection brings perfection. Not so simple. That's why we can see that humanity is looking for all sorts of ways to co-exist, different systems, different ways, even to just bring peace between two people. Completion between two people, and they can't. Peace or wholeness are the names of the Creator. And that's what's missing between us and that's why He infused us with the evil inclination and also gave us, seemingly, a little bit of the good inclination so that we will look for how to do it. Then when we finally are despaired from trying to bring together opposite things, then we start seeing that we are missing the third force. We shouldn't try to negate each other or cancel each other like politicians try to do, like anyone with their ego is trying to do to the other, but rather as we start seeing in the correct development that we go through, that there's nothing good in the world and there's nothing bad in the world. Rather, we have to bring the good and the bad closer to each other and through the correct merging between them we will find a third state. That's a state of perfection that comes from both. That is why it says, man woman and divinity between them. Man woman represents fire and water like two opposite things but when can there be wholeness? When divinity, when the revelation of the Creator appears between them so the Creator is the third line and that's what we need to discover specifically from trying to work correctly with both, opposite lines. Giving cannot happen without receiving and vice versa. The right way to bring them together is the whole wisdom of Kabbalah because then from the connection between them we build the vessel of reception that has both Aviut and Zakut, coarseness and refinement, in order to reveal the third middle line the Creator. Our whole work is according to today's topic, it is the middle line. The middle line is the revelation of the Creator. The middle line is in the Keter which is above all of the Sefirot, it's above our own structure. Then with the merging of Hochma and Bina, which is the Sefira Daat, or Jacob, and Hesed Gevura, then you have the Sefira Tiferet which is the middle line in the Guf the body, and then in Netzah Hod, the end of the Partzuf we have the Sefira of Yesod. Which is essentially the middle line that occurs between Hesed, Gevura, Netzah, Hod and of course, Hochma and Bina. This is how we have to try between us and each and one in himself and all of us inside the ten to try to build, to find, to detect, to establish this middle line where we reveal the Creator. Most importantly as Rabash writes, it's the Social Articles that everyone must be more than everyone and less than everyone which means that each one is flexible towards the friends, willing to do whatever is needed only to bring unity among them and with that we begin to identify such a flexibility, adaptability within us so that I only want to support the friends, to hold the friends, to feel that the group is being established more and more correctly through my efforts. If everyone is concerned about that, he's building his middle line. As it is called, one receives one. Meaning a person who establishes himself in the middle line begins to be aimed at the Creator. Thus, revealing the Creator within but how do you get to the middle line? Specifically, through wanting to integrate with the group, to support the group, to bring together all of the negative and positive states, not so they neutralize each other, cancel each other, like plus and minus, creating a short circuit, no. Also, not to just keep them far from each other but rather how do we bring them together so that we build a system that includes both? That's what’s essentially called the middle line which does not exist in nature. We build it. As it is said, You have made Me. This is how we come closer. Coming closer to the middle line begins from feeling that, who I am? Who am I without the friends, who am I without the group? There's no such thing. When I come to the preparation before the lesson, I feel myself dead, I've got nothing, I've got, not a feeling, not any preparation, I don't even know how to exist. When I hear the friends as they start to awaken, to shine on each other, to awaken each other, then in this way, I too begin to recover, to recuperate and thanks to their awakening, I wake up as well and begin my revival. This is essentially how I begin my day as I begin to be more and more worthy of meeting the ten and meeting the Creator inside the ten. We have to pay more and more attention to this, to approach this in the right way because this is essentially a practical wisdom of Kabbalah where we build between us the middle line, a common shared place, and in that line, in that shared space between us we can reveal, through all of our opposite, conflicting, contrasting qualities and states that the Creator sets up for us from above, we arrange them, we rearrange them as a Kli and in that Kli we discover Him.

1A. WSQ: (11:25 - 17:24) Now let's do a workshop. How, from a state where we have basically no feeling, we're all confused, we come to the preparation before the lesson and how that preparation awakens us and really enlivens us and gives us all kinds of emotions and feelings and inner development, hopes for the future and how altogether when we come to the lesson, how this preparation builds each one of us and altogether connects us to a Kli that is more and more suitable for the revelation of the Creator? Let's have a workshop on that. How our preparation builds our Kli for the revelation of the Creator. Go ahead.

2. WSQ: (17:24 - 19:45) There is a very significant question after this. How during the lesson, we don't lose the same awakening and connection that we received during the preparation because then the lesson begins, there's mind there and emotion there, and all kinds of states that throw each and everyone to a certain direction in thought and feeling, how do we maintain during the lesson that unity which we've achieved before the lesson? How do we continue in connection between us? It doesn't matter what we learn. It doesn't matter. Actually, it doesn’t matter. It is said, it's not the wise one who learns. So only the connection between us, regardless of what we learn and all kinds of states that everyone goes through, if we - on the background of what we learn, what we discuss - if we maintain our connection, that essentially is the construction of our Kl. By these spiritual states that we learn about and that's the main thing that builds us, the main thing then is to be connected on top of all the different subjects we're going through in mind and heart during the lesson, how do we hold ourselves during the lesson in the same direction towards connection between us, revelation of the Creator, to bring Him contentment? How do we maintain that during the lesson? Maybe we should do some signs or some other signals, some other preparations, some other thoughts, intentions during the lesson, what can we do in order to maintain that? Please.

3. WSQ: (19:45 - 27:56) To what extent is it important for me to think about the unity of the group, the connection of the friends, as opposed to diving into the topic of the study itself? To think about the unity of the friends, the intention of the study during the lesson, even more than studying the subject of the lesson itself? Go ahead.

Excerpt #11. Baal HaSulam. The Freedom. Reader (27:56 - 29:21)

4. R. This means that specifically from the contrast, the oppositeness that we don't understand each other, that were far from each other, that were opposite to each other, specifically from keeping all of the gap between us, the dissonance between us, from not being similar, that's how we make room for the evolution of wisdom. Wisdom can only come from the contrast between us. That's true both for the person himself, that he contains good and bad, plus and minus, good inclination, bad inclination as well as between people. That's also how it is in spirituality, we have to maintain all of the differences between us and not try to blur them out or eliminate them or erase them. Only to bring to a mutual understanding as we keep the contrasts.

Reader continues (30:30 - 30:58)

5. R. Specifically, it is that he has his own opinion and he thinks this way and feels it as his. It's his observation and his flavors in his character and so on. Each and everyone has his own inner, personal Reshimot. It cannot be deleted and we need to maintain these things in every one. In which others have no shred of them. Meaning what exists in one does not exist in anyone else. Each one is novel, and every one is original, unique.

Reader continues (31:37 - 31:50)

R. We need such a society that will not suppress anyone but rather enable everyone to maintain their character, their approach, their view in life as it comes to him by nature, from the root of his soul. This is something that we haven't yet even discovered because we think we just came out of our mother and we just then were educated in different ways, everyone depending on where they lived and grew up in their country and so on. We will have to build such conditions that each and everyone will develop their original Reshimot. So it does not become blurred by his environment. Meaning that the environment will not pressure him so as to make him think a certain way and want a certain way and solve things a certain way. Rather, the society will only give him the environment in which he can further and further develop his personal, individual seed.

Reader continues (33:13 - 33:39)

R. This means that we enable each and everyone to grow freely, maintaining his freedom. Only then all of society will develop in such a way that from each and every one there will be their own preparation in connection with others to discover the Creator in full.

5. WSQ: (34:10 - 38:44) How do we, how can we establish such conditions for the existence of each and every friend in the ten so that he will develop his inner point Reshimot, original Reshimot in such a way that he can really be worthy of complete revelation of the Creator? Each and everyone and all of us together? What kind of conditions do we need to give to each and everyone in the group? Workshop please.

Excerpt 12. Reader (38:44 - 42:23) Reads twice

6. R. Meaning it’s true form is the middle line, the Creator who is One. So, the true form of reality does not appear - which is called the Creator - it cannot appear unless there are two opposite forms. We need to connect them together and if we do, just like we see one thing with two eyes, so then we discover the matter in its true form.

7. WSQ: (42:23 - 46:48) How do we not forget that everything that appears, appears first in its negative form? We need to do the right preparation on top of that negative form and then the second part, the second half, the positive half, becomes revealed and then there shall be evening and there shall be morning one day. Meaning every phase begins from darkness. It isn't the darkness itself rather the opposite form that later needs to appear as light as day. So we need to prepare ourselves during the darkness that we are truly worthy of revealing the day, within the darkness and there's no difference between darkness and light, day and night, no difference. It’s just we relate to it this way in the right way and thus turn the darkness to light. But truly it is the same. How do we approach each time the new state that appears to us and surely we need the help of the group here and the general kind of atmosphere and climate but how do we discover the darkness that happens to us as the beginning of light, the beginning of day, the beginning of revelation? How do we do this? Please. What kind of preparation do we need. Because from above, we are shown one thing: the middle line. In the middle, there's only darkness and then when it's ready it becomes light and then again and again. How did we discover from this darkness the light in the middle line? Please. How do we work with the darkness and light?

8. S. (46:53) What we read in excerpt number eleven, does it mean that it's redundant to try to tell the friend I'm right about something?

R. Of course, of course it's unnecessary and then where do you take it that you're right? How are you going to explain to the friend that you're right and he's wrong? What's right to do instead is to take some articles of Rabash or Baal HaSulam and read them together. Out of that, both of us will understand, the friend and me, we will understand better and the fact that we have a misunderstanding and opposite understanding, it will help us understand the material in a deeper way. I prefer to do it this way. Why should we waste our efforts and me, understanding things opposite to him, through this oppositeness we can now research some source material and understand it better through our contrast. That's better. We'll gain from it. Rather than me forcing him to think like me.

9. S. (48:42) The question is between two opposites, right and left, when I'm in the left, the feeling of the right, the opposition of the right awakens in me, so I'm asking for the force of faith, to feel in the right, but when I'm in the right what do I ask for?

R. You have to try to always be in the middle line. The middle line is called “Love Covers All Crimes”, where I feel both the criticism and my lack of match to the group and with it I try to be in wholeness without Illuminating the differences, without deleting the gaps, but I tried to be in wholeness between me and the group. That’s it. To try to look at all these states as there's room for all of them. The middle line includes both of these states, but doesn't eliminate them, doesn't erase them. It rather indicates that both of them need to be together. How can that be? We will get to that in spirituality and also in corporeality. We see that there is no choice. I love someone even though I also love, well there are also things I don't love in him. What can I do? Right? We look realistically at both our children or our spouses and there are things I don't agree with and I don't want and yet I love them. Love covers all crimes. That is in corporeality. In an incomplete way not a spiritual way because I would delete all of those things in corporeality, in spirituality though I recognize and discover that the contrast between us helps us build the middle line. The common place from two opposite things: me and the friend. We're opposite and the more we advance, we see that there is nothing that resembles each other within us but what holds us is that specifically between these two opposite forms that we discover in me and him the Creator appears. That's the only way for Him to appear. Understood?

10. S. (51:54) You said that each one needs to develop his original Reshimot, and later Baal HaSulam writes in the article, “The Freedom” that we have to discover our uniqueness, and Rabash writes in all the articles that we have to constantly annul ourselves in front of the friends so how on the one hand to be in annulment…?

R. I need to not control others with my ego, as to not let them, the ability to develop the way they are. The more we develop you will see me going further and further away, me for instance away from you because I feel just like in our life as parents to children, the more the children grow, the more we need to let them grow and leave them to the point that we completely stop taking care of them and taking care of them, they take it upon themselves, same thing with us. Same thing between me and the students, that's what needs to happen.

S. In the middle line through the minus I rise to faith?

R. In the middle line there is no minus. The middle line is in the middle. It’s not minus nor plus.

S. Yes but there's criticism and there's love in order to rise from criticism to the middle line to use faith?

R. You can't rise from the right line to the middle line or from the left line to the middle line. You rather have to work with both lines and with them, with help from above, you rise to the middle line. The middle line comes from the Creator.

S. Forgive me, I didn't understand. I have my original Reshimot. It could be very bad. What do I do with it? Relative to the friends, to be only in annulment?

R. You don't know your Reshimot, all the more so your original Reshimot it’s deeply buried within you it’s the root of the soul. You need to, on top of everything that is revealed in you, you need to try, to integrate with the friends and induce connection between the friends. That's the simplest thing that you need to do. Yes.

11. S. (55:10) What does it mean wholeness being the names of the Creator?

R. We discover the wholeness as a connection between minus and plus, the will to receive and the will to bestow, where the cooperation between them gives us their source. This is called the names of the Creator because we don't know how to name the Creator. It's impossible. How do we get a feeling or some knowledge about Him only from the connection between opposite things.

12. S. (56:01) We are speaking about the law that exists between opposites. Is the reason for humanity’s state... we're talking about the law of opposites? I'm speaking of humanity’s current state, bad state because it always chooses the incorrect place or, choosing the good without starting from the bad so it will always get back to the bad?

R. If humanity does not go towards the middle line it will always choose the bad because it will think that it can be saved from the bad and that means in reception. So that's what it always does again and again until it sees that there's no other choice and it's willing to hear something out of this despair and then eventually surrender and connect to the method of the good and that's how we rise above our ego. That is something we still have to talk about.

13. S. (57:44) In the ten, what kind of experiences do we need to experience before we can feel hate from separation?

R. If we long for connection, we will discover how our nature does not let us connect. If we always talk about how, only in connection between us, we can discover the Creator, then we, by that, we'll discover hatred to our separation.

14. S. (58:36) How can I accept in the lesson that all the opposites come from the Creator to us to build the middle line?

R. We always have to think about it and these thoughts will strengthen all the friends, even if we don't talk about it and we won't forget about it. It's worthwhile for us to always think about it and also when we think about these things, we aim for all of our friends to feel this way and think this way.

15. S. (59:31) Despite the differences that come with Reshimot, how do you try to connect with each other without any conflict?

R. Look, there is one thing that we cannot agree with. If a friend really hinders the ten from properly conducting itself. Meaning he heard about the laws of the ten but always interrupts it, always breaks the guidelines and so in that case we have to remove him from the ten. But, basically all the things that have to do with contrasts of character and understanding, perhaps come up, we don't delete them. We awaken them, on the contrary. We respect them, appreciate them. Disputes of opinion are always good because, between them, between the two, we discover the truth. Try, try to practically do that, and you will see that the group grows stronger from feeling that it's broken apart. If they want to connect on top of this brokenness and not eliminate the brokenness but rather there's both brokenness and connection. Then between the two they discover that they cannot be there and then they ask the Creator to come and connect them to be the glue between the opposite things because they can't be connected. Then the Creator will be revealed. Then the Creator is revealed. Just come closer to these things. Start working on these things and you don't need to be too smart about it. No, because you're going to be taken care of from above, you're going to be taken care of from above.

16. S. (01:02:13) About that excerpt where Baal HaSulam writes, where opposition remains and that ensures criticism and the development of wisdom, how to connect it to our method? You explain something but you said there shouldn't be criticism between us. You’ve answered but I still don't understand the matter of criticism, how to work with criticism as it ensures development, how is it in the ten?

R. These are things that are totally different. I don't awaken criticism on the ten, along with always wanting to improve it. I don't pass criticism on the friends, along with not agreeing with them. I am willing to discover how opposite we are but this oppositeness, I discover it as something good for our success. Put it like this, the child who grows, the small child who starts growing and then you discover that he has his own character, his own ego, his own thought that he doesn't want to be like you, but he always wants to do things the way he wants to, you're happy about it. Why? Because it shows you how independent he is, that he's already like a little person, a little human. Same thing with us. We have to understand that our oppositeness increases our Kli and over this oppositeness, we need to connect. Without dismantling the oppositeness, blurring the oppositeness, deleting it. So then we have greater Aviut and on top of that will have a greater Tzimtzum and Masach, restriction and screen. This is how we will ultimately build our Partzuf. You understand this is how we will come closer to building our Partzuf. When I have a Tzimtzum, Masach, Ohr Hozer, on top of the Aviut. The Aviut does not disappear, it cannot be refined.  The Masach can be refined, but not the Aviut. As Baal HaSulam writes, I am happy that all of the wicked become revealed because they help us grow. All of those contrasts between us conflicts between us.

17. S. (01:05:49) You just said, you explain that when you're in the middle line you don't have differences, you don't have plus and minus so can you please explain when, how to keep let's say the difference is when in the middle line because that would be very contradictory. Let's say mission impossible.

R. That's right, we cannot hold on to these contradictions on our own. We don't have such a Kli that can hold the plus and minus together. Only the Creator that will appear will connect them between us.

18. S. (01:06:48) I'm sitting in the lesson, various contradictions foreign and thoughts appear in me. I'm sure the friends also have them but we rise above them, we try to create connection, it's still not the middle line.

R. It's not the middle line, the middle line is where we pray to the Creator on top of all the contrasts, the conflicts, disturbances the Creator sends us to begin with. So that from these disturbances where we can't interconnect them properly, then we turn to Him and then what happens is He who makes peace above makes peace between us. Then the upper light, this special light builds the Masach in us on top of the Aviut. And then we can work with all of the opposite things and build a Partzuf from it. Bit by bit, we are getting closer.

S. That should be the result of the prayer or is this the prayer, the middle line?

R. The middle line is already what the Creator shines on us and awakens in us and connects both lines into a middle line. In the middle line, we discover the Creator, that is already the connection between us to the Creator.

19. S. (01:08:44) You said that the middle line does not exist in nature. In what nature? How to understand it?

R. In the nature of this world, the middle line does not exist. The middle line is the Creator. In our nature there's only plus and minus. One cannot be without the other even if we just see one, then in some way even under concealment the other side of it always exists and so if we want to come to something whole, we always need both one thing and its opposite. When the Creator appears, he appears as the source for both of the opposite qualities and then from these opposite qualities, when we connect them, from there, we attain Him.

20. S. (01:10:01) How to respond to a friend who judges the work of other friends? He mixes the wisdom of Kabbalah with politics and consequently it's difficult to speak with him because of his attitude?

R. We have to ask him to stay quiet, to keep it shut. First of all, don't mix the wisdom of Kabbalah with politics or anything else. Maybe he's trying to explain things, I don't know but best not to talk about. We should talk about what we talked about in the lessons only meaning what's written in the articles of Baal HaSulam and Rabash. That’s it. Not to give us lectures on the state of the world in which he doesn't understand anything yet.

S. It's possible that we should ask the friend to behave more respectfully to the ten?

R. That is, of course correct. We need to relate to the ten like the most important, most precious thing in the world, for sure, yes. But that's on the one hand. On the other hand, we don't need to talk about anything foreign, only the wisdom of Kabbalah. Only how do we attain the connection between us and in the connection between us we attain the Creator. That's it. Why are you starting to talk about politics or something else? What kind of nonsense is this?

21. S. (01:12:22) How many times do we have to repeat the dark force in order to handle it, how to turn it into light?

R. We need to discuss between us how much we need to turn to the Creator so as to turn the darkness to light. Until we feel the urgency to turn to the Creator, then only he can arrange our proper Kli and then we will see the truth.

22. S. (01:13:28) You said in the differences between us wisdom is revealed. What is that wisdom?

R. The presence of the Creator between us.

24. S. (01:13:57) Is it important that during the workshop we will remind ourselves of the rules of the workshop for everyone to participate or is it okay for each person to decide if they participate or not?

R. Of course everyone has to participate, what kind of question is that? The rules of the workshop, you need to know them, and everyone needs to participate and you see how I sometimes guide you through the workshops to create a certain kind of special connection in the workshop. That is mandatory.

25. S. (01:14:59) Sometimes there is a desire to rule and control the group. How to replace that with a desire to be a help to the group?

R. Pray to the Creator as much as possible that he will give you a different desire because by wanting to control the group you are ruining yourself, you are destroying yourself, you need to demand to have love towards the friends and love will force you to serve them, rather than control them.

26. S. (01:15:47) In the beginning it is written that the Creator is the quality of love and absolute bestowal, the right line. The created beings when they are climbing the ladder, they climb in the middle now you explain the Creator is the middle line, how do I reconcile these two?

R. The Creator is the middle line to begin with. The two lines come from Him, right and left, and that is what we learn. Now, the fact that the Creator there is a force of bestowal, that is correct, from Him, too, but not directly, but from Him comes the force of reception. It is said, I Created the evil inclination and I Created the Torah as a spice for it. So, then you have two lines coming out of the Creator we will learn that.

27. S. (01:16:53) Should we make efforts to fight the hate that awakens between us and turn it into a struggle and a separation between us?

R. We don't need to fight hatred in order to eliminate the hatred, we rather need to bring on top of the hatred the force of love and this sandwich of hate and love they will co-exist there as the Aviut of the Partzuf and the Masach above it.

28. S. (01:17:43) In order to reach love of connection we have to first reveal hate for separation, what should we pray for, the revelation of the hate of separation, or pray for connection, are they opposite?

R. We also have to pray for the connection and usually we will discover that we are not in connection and then we will ask for it in a more practical way.

29. S. (01:18:23) How to reply to a friend about mutual agreement if he cries....

R. Well, then he can leave the group if he feels that the rules of the group are stopping and pressuring him, not giving him any freedom, so he can go to the free world, very simple. Let him go.

S. When you remind him there is a conflict between two friends and the rest of the ten keeps quiet how to work properly?

R. That needs to be done through the Gabai.

30. S. (01:20:02) If resistance awakens in me with the work in the ten, I have to take the side of the ten, or of the Creator?

R. Read Rabash and the resistance of the ten, what am I supposed to do with that question.

31. S. (01:20:34) Before the middle line is revealed what maintains the contradictions from canceling each other out?

R. We need to not cancel the contradictions, we need to let it all keep going, hatred, love, they both have room, they both have a place we just need to rise above them. It's like with people that you love you don't want to destroy them, you love them with all of the negative things that you see in them, who knows if you are right or wrong, you accept them and the commandment of love means love covers all crimes.

S. Naturally I repress their opinion, I cancel it it's not even up to me it's inside of me

R. Why?

S. It's natural I don't accept the opinions of others who don't match my opinions.

R. So you don't love them, when you love your children then along with that you will see all of the negative things, you don't accept some of the forms of behavior but still you love them and they say that the children who are the most mischievous and unpleasant behavior, they are loved even more.

S. What does the middle line reconcile?

R. The middle line does not need to complete anything, it is wholeness by itself because to begin with, it comes from two opposite lights and there is nothing more than the middle line, it doesn't require any completion, it already has two lines as well as your effort as you bring these two lines together. The isolation between them as well as the connection between them is your effort in both the Aviut and Kashiut, that is how you build the Kli.

32. S. (01:23:03) How to combine these two opposites and the guest that comes you said that if he does not harm there is still an inner resistance whether or not he is being harmful or not, there is an inner conflict he said to work through Gabai.

R. What does it mean that he is disturbing, that maybe he is asking questions, but he is not trying to dominate the group. If there is a disagreement, then we need to clarify it. I don't understand these things, a person who hinders our group means that he behaves in a way that it is not acceptable in the group, but if everyone has their own opinion with regards to the study, then what is the problem?

S. Disregards the group, he shows overtly he doesn't need to have an account for it.

R. So you need to think together and through Gabai you tell him that you disagree with this and that. If he doesn't change how he behaves and we have a problem that you will have to get rid of him. Then he has to weigh what is important to him, coming to the goal of life or staying with his ego.

33. S. (01:25:04) How can our ten maintain its balance between two lines and not fall into one extreme or the other?

R. I don't know, the ten needs to try to be in the middle line and not in one or the other. We always have to maintain that our goal is the Creator and whatever appears in us we all need to aim ourselves at the Creator. If you hold on to that you will feel how all of the problems go away and if they arise, they immediately dissolve in your connection and increase your connection.

34. S. (01:26:21) If I can't see revealed contradictions in the ten, does this mean that I don't work on love for the friends and connection?

R. Both you and them need to, more and more increase the connection, amplify the love, the appeal to the Creator and then you will feel how opposite you are to each other. Because the oppositeness between you is what is missing, we come from one point and then the Sefirot evolve further and further between them we discover the Creator. That is how it is.

35. S. (01:27:22) Can you help clarify the middle line, you said it is a prayer so when this left line comes, the coarseness in the ten, we come to a state where we feel that we are helpless, that we are unable to do anything as if we are expecting His help, then He helps. This anticipation for help, for salvation, the dead end the necessity for Him is this related?

R. Yes, but you shouldn't sit and wait. You need to speak about the state between you and turn it into a prayer.

36. S. (01:28:11) On the left line the work is clear: a person can annul himself, but on the right line, what expands the right line more than anything?

R. We can't really control the right or the left especially not the middle, but our work what is given to us, that is what we need to keep doing and then we will see how the Aviut the coarseness that grows supports the right and the left and that is how the middle line will already come from above. We will learn about it, we still didn't learn about the three lines enough.

37. S. (01:29:03) What happens before the middle line is revealed?

R. That you are lacking it, that the middle line is missing the revelation of the Creator, that without the revelation of the Creator we can't hold on between us and be directed in a way to bestow contentment to Him. That it will all be in order to bestow, the necessity to be in order to bestow that brings revelation of the Creator.

38. S. (01:29:39) Is the middle line the situation that we come to that we pray to achieve or is it the Creator himself?

R. The middle line is our yearning to reveal the Creator in order to give Him contentment, that’s from below upward and the middle line is that we get revelation of the Creator from above downward.

39. S. (01:30:10) Is it an important necessity to share our impressions at the end of the lesson?

R. I think that there has to be some kind of short meeting at the end of the lesson, a ten connects between them, without any contact with other tens or with anyone or anything. They speak as much as I felt during the lesson, as a result during the lesson how they felt an increase in the connection between them.

40. S. (01:31:04) In faith above reason are there the two extremes there as well or do they become one there?

R. In faith above reason you usually reveal the middle line.

41. S. (01:31:25) Adhesion with the Creator is a state in the opposition is separation from the Creator, how do I...

R. By increasing your connection with the friends you will be inspired, how they are inspired from it and they will also reach a state that you have such a strong big attitude towards your connection with the Creator that is one thing.

42. S. (01:32:33) How do we come to spiritual freedom between the two opposites?

R. That is from “None Else Besides Him” the good and also the bad, I also feel in the desires of the night and day and in all kinds of ways, it comes from the same source that the Creator creates the day and the night and it all just drops on us so that we can reach a connection with Him above all of those discernments.

43. S. (01:33:23) Sometimes it seems that the left line and the disturbances are much greater than their relations we have in the ten to be able to cope with it, is this natural or do we need to build more quickly our relationships so we can get rid of these disturbances as quickly as possible?

R. We don't need to get rid of disturbances, we constantly need to yearn to be above the disturbances and reveal the upper force, that it is, that He is awakening those disturbances in us specifically so we can reveal Him.

44. S. (01:34:17) What are the components of the right line and left line that makes them suitable for this correct measure of the middle line?

R. We will learn that, you can't learn it now.

Excerpt 13 Reader (01:34:44 - 01:35:49)

45. R. Meaning there is nothing good or bad only towards us that we can see the differences between them and the main thing is to reveal their own mutual source to both of them which is the upper force.

46. S. (01:36:16) What is the difference between love and tolerance?

R. Love is that I love. The external source, let’s say that. Tolerance is that I use my ego, that it is worth activating the ego and connecting to someone, that if not a reward in the ego I wouldn't be tolerant. It is completely not love or anything. Meaning with love I connect to the other because I love him I have a connection which is emotional and special, it is with illumination from above. Tolerance is it is because it is worthwhile to be beside someone and there is probably an egoistic reward here.

47. S. (01:37:28) What do we do if contradictions in dissemination come up?

R. Talk about it and try to reach some kind of mutual decision and if still there are disturbances so try and turn to let's say Bnei Baruch here and ask what to do in such a case, speak to someone in charge in your group, turn to them with your questions and he will organize you. whatever you need in the way that we do it here.

48. S. (01:38:42) Everything in reality even the most harmful has a right to exist and must not be eradicated and destroyed you know what I don't understand it I am a child of a Holocaust survivor, how do I explain this to someone like that?

R. That is a true spiritual development of people, we are not talking about little kids we are speaking about serious people, great ones that need to be educated to a spiritual degree. If we are speaking about little kids, there you can perform like regular rules as with monkeys are animals, like in our world as a custom. But if we have to educate ourselves in our groups we have no choice that you have to behave as the Sages tell you.

S. When can I come to a state where I justify the bad in the world, I don’t understand it?

R. Only under the condition that you will see the good in the world against it and you see how the good can't be without the bad and the bad can't be without the good.

S. Can you really justify even such evil?

R. Such evil and even worse, what do you mean, you don't know history? What kind of evil was truly revealed? Kabbalists say even wait and see what you are going to see in the final war of Armageddon and so on, you will have an opportunity to know it.

S. Is it preventable?

R. If you reach the end of correction before it with the whole world.

49. S. (01:41:06) Regarding what we say at the writers’ meetings or in different programs and what we say here with the ten or what we read now in the last excerpt that there is no bad that has to be eradicated from the world. On the other hand we say he who comes to kill you, you kill him first. How do we explain things that seem contradictory to the regular person?

R. This is about corporeality and this is about spirituality, we are speaking about laws that have to take place in a spiritual group. So in a spiritual group everything that is revealed we try to combine it in the correct connection between us in order to reveal the Creator. That if we will be lacking any corporeal negativity, we will be lacking an area to reveal the positive.

50. S. (01:42:21) When we had states in the ten when it was about to fall apart it created much scrutiny and in the end we really advanced. Now in the situation where everything is calm and good we don't feel this progress, how do we initiate it?

R. You need to advance on behalf of the good, not on behalf of the bad. If you will want to advance towards the Creator, revelation of the Creator and the connection between you as much as possible you will feel the revelation of the bad conditions, arguments and so on. Don't wait for bad states, by that you are supposedly telling the Creator that He is bad, but bad has to be revealed only in order to bring more good to be revealed, that is why He created the evil to emphasize the good more and more. You also need, also in such a way, to behave.

51. S. (01:43:46) What is the right line, is it a deficiency. Deficiency to resemble the Creator, it is not that something that exists. There is no such thing as having the right line. Only the deficiency for it.

R. Right line is the force of bestowal that we can receive from above if we work correctly with the left line. That is it.
