Reforming the Heart - Selected excerpts from the sources

1. R. (00:16) What can I do to bring the heart back to the good, reform the heart. What does it mean to reform the heart?

2. S. (00:33) That it becomes open to the Friends into the created beings in general to accept them with light with love like the light.

R. Okay, what good do we have to reform the heart to? 

3. S. (01:05) To the thought of creation The Good Who Does Good.

R.  good that does good okay. What do we attain by that? 

4. S. (01:53) Our deficiency and desire to bring contentment to the Creator and be more incorporated. 

R. Okay you're also lately starting to jump. 

5. S. (02:21) To be all day in thoughts of the benefit of the friends.

R. Poor man, what's happening to you?

S. You asked what it means to be like The Good Who Does Good.

R. Look what he's saying. What should we attain as a preparation for the convention? What do we want to attain as a preparation for the convention?

6. S. (03:18) What we need to attain is to begin to appreciate the importance of the intention to bestow in order to connect the broken vessel and through it bestow upon the Creator.

R. Yes and how do we do that?

S. We do it by canceling the will to receive and then our requests and prayer to the Creator that he can help the friends to satisfy their deficiencies, and in this way everything He gives to the Ten He still the friends and then in this way we complement, we complete the cycle of the intention to bestow.

R. Okay.

7. S. (04:22) Not long ago we read the Zohar, and it really penetrated my heart that we're getting ready for the Congress and we read in the Zohar that in the Assembly of Israel that everyone doubted. With this goal I should come to the convention so we can assemble as the Assembly of Israel before the ,can we take this as a goal?

R. There's still time to check that with the friends.

8. S. (05:09) We should assemble even the most opposite and contradictory qualities. When we assemble them, we will become light and all the changes we go through.

9. S. (05:37) Intensifying and increasing the sensitivity of our open heart so we will connect together.

R. Of course increasing the sensitivity is the most important.

Ten. S. (06:00) A stronger connection of our hearts and if we are gathering each day in prayer together, this is one way that we can do it if we can get together, more strongly together. 

11. S. (06:22) We should bring to the convention my concern, what am I giving to the friends, what is my part and how do I not miss out.

R. Those are strong words he's saying, what do I give the friends, what am I giving. Anything they need and not to leave anything with me, nothing to myself. You said it nicely. 

S. To be concerned about it?

R. Yes of course.

12. S. (07:16) Maybe we can add to that, that the Creator is pushing humanity to the next level of coarseness, so in this convention we simply have to reach a new level of connection that will match it.

R. Of purity that in this way we can complete each other, us to humanity and humanity to us. Correct.

13. S. (07:47) We should also try to relate to the friends like the Creator so as to bring him contentment and in the end to become similar to him.

R. Correct. 

14. S. (08:08) We have to come to the convention with a need at the level of He will be your burial place to be in the form of He comes to purify and he's receiving that Holy soul.

R. Correct. 

Reading excerpt number 1 (08:41) “A person who is born with the will to receive...”

15. S. (Ten:02) What can the Ten give to the world Kli at the convention?

R. The Ten is part of the world Kli and it must be as a healthy core to give it a foundation that upon it they are willing that everyone can stand and strengthen and hold on it aim themselves correctly to the purpose of creation.

S. How do we bring ourselves to that state and what does it do?

R. We make of our Ten the Ten friends it can be 8 or 12 it doesn't matter, but when they are connected in a way that they are sure that they can reach with the Creator's help to the goal. To attain such a connection that the upper light can close in them and draw towards them all of the rest of the parts of the world Kli.

S. Should we feel some result in the world vessel to see some changes?

R. We want to attain in our vessel in our Ten a result that we every time can become more and more an essential Ten that around it all of reality can exist, and we are expecting the Creator to clothe in us.

S. It feels like we have to give the world Kli some force, but?

R. Example and bestowal.

S. How is it expressed and in what way?

R. That we try to be in mutual bestowal and mutual support and we want to advertise in all directions what it means to be connected as one man with one heart and what the Creator is demanding of us.

16. S. (13:01) About advertising you also said yesterday that some Tens are advancing more and some are advancing less, so we should try to learn from the Tens what we should do. Such learning does it happen by incorporation and the lessons or does it require special activities like for example, if women were to organize some meeting where Tens share how they implement your advice?

R. Yes obviously Ma'am we talked about it many times.

17. S. (13:45) I asked myself, what is your role in this convention and how can I work and what can I do in the preparation, because I want to truly hug everyone but the question is how can I hug everyone in this convention?

R. I think that the main thing is to be in the heart and soul with the whole world Kli and to try to explain to them and to bring them closer to give them an example, that's something you can do and in this way we advance, I'm very happy that many friends from Turkey are coming.

S. I also wanted to ask, when I feel today is that we don't know what privilege we've been given truly. All of the lessons the conventions Passover and Shavuout and the states that we have received and we are advancing but I also see that there are friends who feel despaired

R. Despair is felt in the vessels of reception, advancement is felt in the vessels of bestowel, if we're talking about the right discernments. True discernment is that advancing in bestowal and in the opposite in reception, so let's hope that we until the Congress will prepare ourselves and scrutinize that even more. We are waiting for everybody, come and we will connect and scrutinize it all. 

Reading excerpt number 2 (16:29) “That they are learning Torah in Order to...”

18. R. (16:59) That means that we need to check and learn and measure as much as our heart changes through our studies. Our studies mean all actions that we do around the intention to reform the heart to correct the desire, that upon our will to receive the will to bestow will grow. Meaning that we will have a restriction on the will to receive a screen and reflected light and that from that same will to receive we can do actions of bestowal, that's what we expect.

19. S. (18:02) It says therefore the Torah that they learn with this intention is called wise-hearted and not wise minded what are wise-hearted?

R. That through the Torah that we learn about that's called the light that reforms, that has to correct our heart. Our heart is entirely the will to receive in order to receive and that it will gradually reach the desire to bestow and then to the desire to receive in order to bestow.

S. With what prayer should we come to the convention in order to change our hearts?

R. You still have time to start putting together your prayers. Let them be a lot of prayers, just gather them and throw them into some box, some virtual box and see. I would make from all of these actions also maybe a competition or something, who’s prayer wins.

 

Reading excerpt number 3 (19:37) “One cannot correct one's thought...”

20. S. (21:03) What is the intention for the Creator, a heart that works for the sake of the Creator?

R. What does the Creator want of us, that we will be as one man with one heart all connected and then in that common vessel you can bestow to it. In that we think of bringing him a vessel for pleasure and he wants to bestow and fill that vessel that we will have pleasure from Him and then we connect one another, the Creator and the Created beings.

S. Is the intention from us or does He give us?

R. The attention from us towards the vessel and receiving from the Creator towards us.

S. Our task is to prepare the vessel?

R. Yes. 

21. S. (22:08) Basically preparing the vessel means we need to present our corruptions in us for the Creator to correct them?

R. Yes. 

22. S. (22:26) I don't understand the sentence?

R. I feel that you don't feel it, why are you silent, are you embarrassed?

S. A person cannot correct the thoughts but should only aim the heart?

R. Yes you have to aim it towards correction as much as possible, towards connection.

S. How can one aim ones’ heart?

R. Together with the friends.

S. What is the role of thought in aiming the heart?

R. The thought aims at the heart.

S. This is why it's not clear here, the instructions.  Practically if a person wants to aim his heart he has to do it, he has to start with the thought, no?

R. Yes.

S. What does it mean that he should say a person cannot correct the thought but only the heart should be aimed?

R. Well, you don't understand it.

S. No?

R. Who can help him?

23. S. (23:47) The thought is the means but it's not the goal, the goal is to correct the heart.

R. Okay, who else?

24. S. (24:09) It's like when you try to initially correct the thought and it doesn't last but then when you begin, it can influence the heart and then the thought will be corrected.

R. Okay. 

25. S. (24:32) What is the new structure in the heart that creates the light of the Torah?

R. The light of the Torah is the force of bestowal that from all the desires in the heart, builds a system of bestowal that in that way all the desires connect and they can all support the force of bestowal like The Sefirot in a Partzuf, the Sefirot in a Partzuf. We see that to KHBZM and when they are connected correctly, and the upper light can pass through them correctly, it builds in them in such a way that Malchut eventually restricts itself and a screen and reflected light and can receive the upper light that shines throughout the whole Partzuf.

26. S. (26:00) On what action should we focus on now before the convention, on annulment or bestowal upon the friends?

R. I think practically bestowing upon the friends, practically bestowing in order to be connected together and to start writing, connecting and building actions through that connection, it's actually what we need.

27. S. (26:38) Bestowal in the Ten, we know and feel what it is one friend towards the other, but what is bestowal between the Tens in order to reach one vessel, that's not clear?

R. That is something I think we will still need to work on, so I'm afraid to start that bestowing in the Ten, I don't want to fall apart. 

28. S. (27:17) Does the vessel develop every second toward correction through the common effort of all the Tens?

R. Actually yes but it's not enough, does the vessel itself make the effort to help itself in everybody advance.

29. S. (27:45) Why does the Creator give weakened ineffective states?

R. I don't understand, the Creator gives you exactly according to our degree and our abilities.

30. S. (28:03) Does bringing the heart back to the source is to return in the expanded desire to bestow and in this way you give it contentment?

R. Yes.

31. S. (28:29) We would like to say also that it's a very important convention, so important that it's like a sum of all the conventions that have happened thus far. We are coming from the group more than seven people, of course we will bring with us gifts. We are overcoming all kinds of difficulties with visas and we need to buy tickets, but we are very very inspired and excited and with great fear, it's such a powerful action with which we can delight the Creator.

R. We are waiting for you. 

32. S. (29:30) In the Ten we started a process and we are meeting with other Tens, is this a process that can strengthen the whole vessel toward the Congress?

R. Try it and talk about it between you.

S. We have been trying we started already.

R. You don't have to pass all these things through me but on the contrary, between you talk about it and summarize it and in that way it'll be the best for you.
