Baal HaSulam. General Preface. #6

1. R. (02:36) Meaning those who corrected the heart they see the Torah they feel the Torah and they understand the Torah. It is clear right?

S. There are Mitzvot that are written, what Mitzvot in practice or in speech corrects the heart?

R. It is not about it being in the heart or the mouth or an action or in the hands or feet,rather it all depends on how a person accepts these actions in order to correct his heart.

S. In any case it is still speaking about certain actions?

R. It doesn't matter whatever's written in the Torah.

S. Does that need to accompany the intention to correct the heart?

R. Only the intention to correct the heart, that is the main thing.

2. S. (03:59) What does it mean to be men of heart?

R. Men of heart are those who have a corrected heart, the Torah was given to men of heart who wanted to correct the heart or who have corrected the heart.

S. What is the corrected heart?

R. Is a heart that can do what is written in the Torah, all kinds of acts of bestowal whatever the Torah offers people they can carry it out. Torah is like a manual for correcting a person until the end of correction.

3. S. (04:43) Is that what it means to write the Torah on one's heart and when we say to write the Torah and one's heart is that the correction?

R. That is the meaning of writing Torah on one's heart. Heart means desires all of men's desires are called heart, so we need to try and have all of our desires in order to bestow, that is the meaning of bringing the Torah into our heart.

S. If each one needs to write the Torah on their hearts does each one have their own Torah?

R. Torah is not a personal thing, it is above a person. When a person understands and feels and organizes his desires, the desires from which his heart is incorporated then accordingly the heart corrects in a person and approaches the Creator.

S. Then each one will have his own discernments?

R. Tes his own discernments.

S. Then the path itself is the same for everyone but the experiences and discernments are in one zone are one's own?

R. Yes correct. The general laws are not the same laws but anyone who goes through them feels them and that for him is his Torah. That's why each one must write his own Torah on his own heart write the Torah on your heart

4. S. (06:49) The excerpt speaks about the heart and also about thought. Is there a difference between corrections in the mind and corrections in the heart or do we just need to have focus in the corrections of the heart?

R. Focus on the corrections in the heart.

5. S. (07:15) I feel a need to say how much the article of Rabbash that we go through, they prepare our heart to absorb the Torah. We don't speak about it much and many do not like touching on that but the connection that he makes between the sources, where each beginning that he opens for me that is the main thing of the article. Those nuances where he interprets the Torah for me, that is the connection to the force of the Torah?

R. Right that is the main thing.

S. That is what makes the biggest difference to me between each article and I feel what he takes us through in the rest of the article is for us to open our heart in order for us to be able to absorb the Torah.

R. The main thing is that time is heart to the Mitzvot, let's say the Commandments that form that the Torah demands.

6. S. (08:51) How can we correct the heart so that it'll all be in order to bestow?

R. We need to constantly try to read as much as possible to understand internally and to feel that it is in our heart and as much as our heart, our senses, our desires our thoughts start gathering and connecting among themselves and they start yearning to organize themselves according to what the Torah says. That they will acquire the same form that the Torah says, that is called writing on the wall of your heart where all the desires, thoughts, yearnings will acquire a form that the Torah speaks of according to the laws of the world of bestowal.

S. How to develop a sensitivity during the reading of our sources so that the heart will truly acquire that form and not to go after the mind but for the heart to acquire this form?

R. You need to read each sentence a few times especially those excerpts that speak to us which I feel are close to me, and that they should dress on the heart and the heart feels them and wishes to accept them and to do so more and more and more internally.

7. S. (11:31) My friends are coming to the Congress from Turkey. How should they prepare to come as one man in one heart?

R. We are very happy that a big group of friends is coming from Turkey, we hope that it will be even bigger and what we need is that what we are studying will be as preparation and  before the convention really adjacent to the convention we will learn other ,which we will learn other material which we will come back to you during the convention. Because a few times when we return to the same material we will get to know it, we will enter it, we will learn it, we will adhere it more and more to our heart. I very much hope that with the help of our friends from Turkey we will make a very internal convention. I do not expect there to be many people, also the world is in a state where it is not so simple to come to Israel. However we will make it so that everyone who wants to be connected to us during the convention will be corrected and then the distance will not influence them. They will receive this reception in the heart we will connect between the hearts

S. What kind of organization should be done for the friends who could not come and how should they prepare?

R. Those who will not be able to come we'll be with us, our broadcast will be running as many hours as it needs to and we will try as much as possible to do that correctly especially that in Turkey we are pretty much in the same time zone so there is no problem with that. We need in general for all our friends in the world whether it is comfortable for you or not, the times of the lessons, the times of the meals etc. we will try to do that. I see a friend and it will certainly not be the same time as it is in South America but we will try to be closer and more available to all of our friends. I very much yearn to return there again, maybe I will.

R. (16:42) Meaning we need through the study to try to get deeper into the study, so that we just won’t see the letters and the forms of the letters and the order of the letters. But we will see how each and every letter influences us in the essence of the text, the essence of the words and that we will feel that.

8. (18:05) What does it mean to go deeper into the study, where?

R. To go deeper, to go more internally into the study it means that when I listen it does not enter my ears but it awakens our emotions that they will open and receive a certain fulfillment in a new form. And those fulfillments in my emotion will be like how air fills a certain volume and then I will feel what the Creator wants to pass on to me in that message that He wants to give. That is what we need to try to feel, but that is before us. The main thing is emotion emotion, we need more and more to try to demand for the heart.

9. S. (24:31) In three weeks we have a Congress and a person has come to the Congress when he is already prepared. What kind of scrutinies or actions do you have to do so our heart will be ready?

R. Learn what we are learning, that is the preparation to the convention, that is all, other than that we will have discussions, one or two of those.

S. We know we cannot influence the heart directly and whatever we feel we feel, we are making actions?

R. No one can influence the heart but together we can influence our common heart.

S. Is there an earlier scrutiny of a person in the Ten to accelerate the process of so each one wherever he is will be able to go through these things quicker?

R. As much as you incorporate in your group and your group will want to feel itself so then you inside it will get filled. If you have a matter of feeling yourself even though that is not exactly the goal but that is also good on the way. We need to be in an intention to open our heart so that through it and through each and every individual heart to fulfill the hearts of the friends. Is that clear?

10. S. (26:25) What does it mean a heart that is free of Wisdom or heart, what Wisdom is he talking about?

R. Heart is desire, the general desire of a person that is called heart. Either it is their general desire or is the desire that now appears as the main part of the heart where a person lives from that desire.

S. What does it mean that he has Wisdom or does not have Wisdom?

R. He yearns for the Creator filling his heart or not. The fulfillment of the Creator in the person's heart is called that the Creator fills the heart with Wisdom

S. I'm hearing that he is filling his heart with pleasure but not with Hochma?

R. Pleasure is already a feeling of the fulfillment in the heart but with what it gets filled that is called Wisdom, the light of Hochma.

S. How come the evil inclination does not dwell in the heart that has Wisdom?

R. It has no place because the heart is already filled with all the things that are important in the creation.

S. What are the things that are important for creation?

R. Bestowal to everyone.

11. S. (28:06) How can I unite the soul in my heart with a pure intention?

R. As much as it is possible to be open to the Creator through the group and that will open the heart and it will get filled from above.

12. S. (29:01) A few days ago after the lesson during one of your walks with a Ten you spoke about how when a person leaves this world the only thing that is evaluated is the effort that he  put into the Ten and connecting them?

R. Because that is considered as him building a Kli.

S. Ahead of the upcoming Congress there are friends who are making an effort to assemble the students in the area where they live in let us say friends in Los Angeles and Santiago and in New York. There are friends who feel it in their hearts that they are making a great effort to assemble anyone who lives in the same area, it is a mirror convention to be with us in those days. How is this effort to assemble the friends, what is so special about it and that this is what a person takes with him?

R. That is called the construction of the Kli that we need to do. Because from the sin of Adam HaRishon where we dispersed and divided and really became distant from one another, our entire correction is in compressing back together as one man with one heart. Not according to the parts of the desires but according to the intentions of ours, that is called one heart which is what we need to try and carry out.

S. In one town there can be 20 students of ours that feel the urge to assemble and in another city we will have 20 students and each one will feel more comfortable staying at home, they don't feel the need to assemble, it is like a blockade on the heart. Why?

R. Yes that how it is in the world, there are times for one, there are times for the other, there are places for one and place for another.

S. The friends need to try and assemble nevertheless they don't feel the urgency to stay?

R. They should at least know what inclination they are drawn to. Do they have an inclination to connect to build a Kli for the Creator to reveal in the world or not?

S. Sometimes there's a feeling that we connect on the virtual system and we also through the connection. On the other hand these 20 friends feel that they need to exert the effort, rent a place, gather. Do they receive the same thing or feel differently in the Congress?

R. We still need to discuss that, it is not so simple. There are people who work in one  and people who work in another. In one place we discover the deficiency and in another place upon the deficiency which comes from the outside we feel an awakening. it is quite complex, it is a system that is quite complex. I don't want to get into many of these systems now but even in the electronic system, in one state, in one place it influences a completely different place.

13. S. (33:28) You answered a question from one of their friends and I don't really remember what the question was but at the end of the answer you told him that we need to demand of the heart. What did you mean by demand of the heart, how does one do this?

R. That our desires will be entirely directed as one, to one goal and that we will feel that very strongly and that we will try for the Creator to fill them, to correct them, to do with them whatever can be an adhesion with Him.
