Part 1:
Rabash. Article No. 16 (1991). Why We Need “Reply unto Your Heart,” to Know that the Lord, He Is God, in the Work
1. Rav’s Introduction: Let's reply unto your heart and then feel that the Lord is the God.
Reading “Why We Need “Reply unto Your Heart,” to Know that the Lord, He Is God, in the Work”
2. R. (33:18) A very thorough article. I recommend reading it once or twice more during the day, so that it will settle more properly in our hearts.
3. S. (33:50) I didn't really understand why he says don't argue with the questions of who and what, on the other hand we need to overcome them?
R. Yes, overcoming does not mean arguing, it means how you work with them. You need to rise above these questions and through them specifically thanks to these questions, the creator doesn't awaken them for nothing since then we will be able to attain what is needed; that the Lord is God.
S. What does it mean to rise above them, to ignore them?
R. No, Not ignore them, take them into consideration and rise above them, work with them.
4. S. (34:57) To continue the friends question, it says that the Creator gives strength to the Klipot so I don't think these thoughts come for no reason, they have strength, the Creator sent them Etc, and the person needs not to justify it in his reason but take these thoughts that divert him from the work as an opportunity to rise above reason.
R. To their source. The Klipot comes to us from above; and we need to relate to them accordingly.
S. So, regarding a person's response as soon as the foreign thoughts come to you it's like they bury you it's like you become without any strength?
R. Well, maybe the first moment it happens.
S. So where do you suddenly have strength to overcome, to rise above them that you're so strong and a hero?
R. That too the Creator gives. That too the Creator gives. He gives a person an opportunity and ability to think, to accept and to work against these Klipot, these shells. He didn't send them for nothing; He Himself sent them, He sent them for the benefit of man, so each time he will be able to overcome the Klipot and rise higher and higher towards attainment and connection and adhesion with the Creator.
5. S. (36:44) So if I understand correctly you can reach above reason only if you have the foreign thoughts and the Klipot in this work?
R. Correct. This is called the Klipa protects the fruit, the peel protects the fruit.
S. And even more the Klipot enables you to reach?
R. Yes.
S. How can we reach a state that in the work, It sounds funny to say but that we love the Klipot and we're grateful for these Klipot that we have an opportunity now?
R. That's right, that's right. Yes.
S. How can you reach such a state?
R. We appreciate them. That's for later, not now, we don't have a place for appreciating them right now, but it will come.
S. Is it correct to say that the strength to rise above these Klipot I get only from the ten, from the friends, that I alone don't have the chance to do it or is that incorrect to say that?
R. True, this is already in the way you use it. But in truth in the end the Klipa and Kedusha, the shell and sanctity, are equal and they both bring a person as it is written, the good inclination and the evil inclination bring a person to his role, to his purpose.
S. When we say that our path is filled with ascents and descents. What is a descent, is that an opportunity that I didn't take advantage of, that I could have but i didn't, this is a descent?
R. You could say that, there are several reasons for it.
6. S. (38:55) He says in the end, don't miss out on the chance to have all these questions with all these intensities and there's pain. It's painful. I feel like a reflex that you don't want it to be pain, you want to remove the pain?
R. It's a reflex but what's next?
S. Okay, so how can you avoid this reflex?
R. Okay, so the first moment it's like that, and then he settles in his mind and he does what is needed.
S. So, sit within one’s reason that’s under my control, because I don't feel that way?
R. I guess, yes, because you're getting back to control.
S. Where do I get back to control?
R. By being with the friends.
S. It's not clear like when the friend said, it overcomes and when it happens it takes control over me and I forget about all the advice I've heard many times?
R. They give you an opportunity and even do the work for you.
S. I didn't understand.
R. It all depends on the preparation, if you have connection with your environment, the environment returns you, it surrounds you and you come to the right decisions.
S. And if I don't see things happening then it’s a sign that I didn't prepare?
R. Yes.
7. S. (40:30) He writes that before a person is rewarded with vessels of bestowal he cannot be in a quality of faith. We always said that faith and bestow is the same and here it's like two different discernments?
R. Bestowal is the action, and faith is what creates it, is the thought, the inclination.
S. So, the act first is bestowed and then he is rewarded with faith?
R. Yes, from our side when we attain something first we perform certain actions and then through them we attain certain qualities.
S. Faith isn't a state, what does it mean?
R. It's a discernment; if we feel we receive this discernment, this attitude from above.
8. S. (41:37) The Creator sends a person disturbances, and He sends them this to get strength to overcome, so where is a person within these two states?
R. To be ready to accept both and to unify them inside of him, to learn in other words.
S. What's the action that he does other than experiencing and feeling the states he goes through?
R. To be prepared for these states to pass over him or otherwise they won't. A person has to be prepared through acts of preparation.
S. What is this willingness to accept these states and those states?
R. That I know that everything that happens the Creator does from above, that I can expand my vessel of reception by including myself with the society and I'm willing to incorporate myself in them and i’m ready for everything that will take place in me and on me; because otherwise I will not advance.
S. What lies in these states that I agree for the Creator to take me, where does it take me?
R. To work towards development.
S. But in either way it's Him acting on me, so I'm trying to understand where man's work here?
R. Agreement. Agreement with the Creator to educate him, to raise him.
S. and in What does he educate me?
R. By giving me the differences between states, near and far.
S. What's this degree of HaVaYah is Elokim, what is that state?
R. This is still very far from us; HaVaYaH means Yod Key Vav Key, that’s all of creation. And Elokhim is a lower degree, connected to us.
9. S. (44:06) How did the klipot guard a person?
R. They occupy him, they teach him, they place him within boundaries that are suitable for his degree.
S. It says in the middle of the article, if not the Klipot one would feel that he was advancing in the work and he would remain in his lowliness. I don't understand that?
R. I too cannot understand it right now. We have to read around it to understand.
S. What comes first, the help of the Creator, having a permanent faith, or a person demanding help from the Creator? I didn't understand how to come out of the state with the Klipot, I need to do an action which brings the help of the Creator or it comes before that?
R. Where is it written, find it.
S. I think I confused some things here, thank you.
10. S. (45:26) let’s say I had some disturbance and I was able to overcome it, so what is my motivation to be in contact with the Creator?
R. Wait they’ll give you.
S. What the next disturbance?
R. Yes.
11. S. (45:48) He says that there is no reward with vessels of bestowal until the evil inclination doesn’t want it. What is the state that suddenly the evil inclination wants the vessels of bestowal?
R. The evil inclination wants the vessels of bestowal because it can grow and fill itself through them.
S. And he remains the evil inclination or he becomes the vessel of bestowal?
R. No, it remains the evil inclination.
S. And this is called that there are vessels of bestowal?
R. You asked what the evil inclination wants?
S. Yes I'm asking….
R. It wants to enjoy the Kedusha, sanctity, because there's no one else from where to receive fulfillment. Yes?
S. Yes.
R. Then he wants Kedusha to come, but in such a way that he can use it.
S. He writes here that after a person acquires the vessels of bestowal that the evil inclination subjugates towards the goodness and that means, that the evil inclination also wants to work in order to bestow. And that is the meaning of, reply unto your heart, and in such a state a person is already in bestowal?
R. Yes, in bestowal.
S. And the evil inclination also?
R. Also in bestowal, yes.
S. So what is against it, so there's nothing against it?
R. There isn't.
S. So creation isn’t divided into two forces anymore, it becomes one force?
R. Yes, for now, for the time being.
12. S. (47:50) The revelation of the evil inclination and the Klipot is a quality of Rahamim of Mercy from above?
R. Yes.
S. It’s like this example that I thought of, that a mother she blesses with a very assertive voice blesses her children that when she speaks firmly the child thinks that she is frowning upon him, so how do we need to look at the revelation of the evil inclination as a mother who is being angry at us or is blessing us?
R. It is both. Everything comes out of the Creator, there's nothing else besides Him on one hand; and on the other hand to see and feel and to accept the Dinim, the judgments, that keep us straight on the path.
13. S. (49:04) I feel to a certain extent throughout the day that these two questions, to and what, come to us throughout the day, not to the level that he speaks of maybe but,,what is the pain that needs when these questions are asked, what is the pain that I need to have?
R. That when you get along or do not get along with these disturbances that dictate the path to you. It depends on your state.
S. They divert me from the path, they detach me?
R. Let's say this is how it is for now, it’s in order to show you that you need to strengthen yourself and correct yourself toward the goal.
S. I'm supposed to ignore it and continue?
R. If you ignore them how will you advance, you’ll just erase them from before you?
S. So what does it mean to work above reason when they come?
R. To accept them and with your help to update your path; The Klipot do not come for nothing, they belong to that same system that aims you and guides you.
S. What do I learn when they come? What do I learn about the system?
R. Then you are not yet at the end of connection, you're only in the path on the way, they come to give you directions.
S. So not to ignore them?
R. No, no, it's help against.
S. Why do they make me reach out to the Creator?
R. They do not let you exist peacefully and do whatever you think, whatever you feel is good. Rather they show you that in your actions, in your state, there is also a portion of evil; then you feel that you need to heal it, to get rid of it, rise above it.
S. This is the beginning of this pain? I'm trying to understand it.
R. Yes.
14. S. (52:10) What is the difference between missing out on such a question and not being able to overcome it?
R. To miss out means that you put off the guidance of the creator that wants to arrange you more precisely the path, you don't hear it and you continue. But if you accept and you listen and you’re unable to progress, because you see that you are unable to do it, you have problems and so on and so forth.
S. He gives here an example, an advice, not argue with these questions and to give excuses to this, you always try and scrutinize so what’s the…?
R. It depends how much, depends where, because those questions should not bury you.
S. So what does it mean not to argue, so do what? To argue is to resist, I understand isn't it?
R. No. You have to change your ways in order to advance toward the goal. All of the work of the Klipot is especially to aim a person more accurately toward the purpose of creation. More precisely; let it go this way and that way and this way, the Klipot brings him all kinds of, they show him where he might fall, where he does not want to work, how much he doesn’t understand how lazy he is? That is the work of the Klipot.
S. I understand but why not argue with it? I want to argue and say that I'm not lazy and try to overcome and I don't agree, so.
R. Yes, not to argue? I don't know where you take this advice not to argue?
S. He says here, when the questions come don't argue them and think of the excuses to give to his questions but take the questions as they are.
R. Meaning we need to work with them, not to push them aside as if they don't exist.
15. S. (55:05) He speaks of the same question here that it is the Commandment of faith that comes upon you by the questions of who and what don't miss out on them.
R. If there's such an atmosphere in the group it’s not a problem. There has to be a ten that lives according to this spirit, then you too can keep it.
S. So we need to hold on to this atmosphere and then we’ll have these this Aviut turns into the commandment of faith?
R. Yes, opportunities.
S. In the end of the article he says that he comes to the faith permanently. Is this called faith permanently? What is faith Permanently?
R. Faith permanently, permanent faith is when he’s in the degree of faith in bestowal permanently. This can be a good state or a bad state; if it is permanent, then seemingly there's no way to advance. if it's not permanent then he can advance, but he hasn’t attained the degree of faith and wholeness.
S. I will read it, through Pharaoh's questions, who said who is the Lord that I should obey his voice, when he overcomes this question he is rewarded with permanent faith. Which is called what the Zohar says meaning after he has been rewarded with ‘reply unto your heart’ at that time he comes to the degree of, ‘the Lord He is God’. So it's a state called permanent faith, because then there will be more questions of who and what, and he will see an opportunity here to rise above.
R. Yes, correct.
16. S. (57:30) So continue the questions of pharaoh who and what, it is also revealed in relation between the friends in the ten in the connection between us right?
R. Yes.
S. In which way? say if I look at the friends and I see that I don't see them in greatness I do not give any importance to the connection so in such a way I'm supposed to identify them?
R. What to identify?
S. Identify the questions of Pharaoh, the questions of who and what in the ten specifically?
R. Specifically in the ten when you work with the friends on connection, only in the positive direction as much as possible there, you discover disturbances on the way.
S. These are these calibrations that need to be turned in to and need to understand from them how to better annul, how to better..?
R. Yes, let’s say to annul, it doesn't matter what; they teach you, how you can attach yourself more to the path and to the goal.
S. He writes, when the questions come purposefully to reveal to a person faith above reason?
R. Yes.
S. Can you describe how this works in the ten?
R. Without questions you can not come to faith above reason because you do not need it, and through the questions you see that only through actions of faith above reason can you come out of your state, which your state is the Klipot and that’s how you advance.
S. So, the states of lack of connection in the ten, disturbances in the connection between the friends, these are the opportunities where we can demand faith above reason?
R. Let's say there's a disturbance in the connection between the friends. Yes.
17. S. (59:48) He talks here about all different kinds of scenarios where we have the chance to reach faith above reason, and you said to a friend about work in the ten that we need to use the work in the ten to pay more and more attention to not miss out. We work for sometime in the ten and we understand that this point of scrutiny of ascents and descents is the collection of opportunities. So what are we missing in the work in the ten that we are not doing 400 times a minute? that we're talking about the ascent and descent here and there. So is there some kind of advice, something that we're not using that we're missing out on in the work?
R. That you are not drawn to connection all the time.
S. That's it that simple?
R. That's simple.
S. Just to work on the effort of connection between us and through that the questions pop up and the more we work on it…?
R. Yes.
S. Do we need to put emphasis on something? we're not searching for it, only the work in connection?
R. Yes.
18. S. (01:01:38) Is it possible to say that the questions of who and what are the Daat, reason of the person?
R. I did not read such a definition.
S. It says that a person's mind is built so that he will not be able to excuse these questions in his reason, that this work he does for his own self benefit. He also uses the word, his body. Let me ask differently, are the questions of who and what are awakening us to advance and feel the body that cannot receive, in other words the recognition of evil?
R. I don't understand, you spin those things around so much I cannot even hear them. Say it again.
S. The questions who and what advances a person?
R. Yes.
S. In what?
R. In awakening imperfection, lack of wholeness in his state.
S. Recognition of evil?
R. Yes, recognition of evil.
S. The question is does this recognition of evil of the questions, scrutinize to a person his body, his reason in order to rise above, in order to rise above them he needs to rise above reason. He writes that the only way to continue is to ask the Creator for strength in order to bestow above reason?
R. Yes?
S. That is why I'm asking these questions of who and what scrutinize for a person's reason which upon it he needs to rise? Or maybe I'm confused?
R. Still.
19. S. (01:03:46) Yesterday I read the article twice with the friends and this morning I feel like a 3-year-old who wants to cross the busy road and my mother says, come hold my hand. How can I do this work as a 3-year-old who gives his hand to his mother and crosses the road to the other side, to the good side. Because the Creator really shows me at every moment, come and hold my Hand to cross the road with me and I'm not willing to give Him my hand?
R. How, with your friends?
S. What does it mean to go with the friends?
R. Connection.
S. We're working on this the whole day everyday?
R. And?
S. Everything he will do here is above reason, the questions of who and what they show us that this mind does not let us connect, doesn't let us advance, that we need to constantly be above reason? That's how I feel anyway.
R. Good. meaning all day long you are state that is pushing you towards prayer?
S. Yes.
R. And you pray?
S. Yes.
R. Throughout the whole day?
S. Yes.
R. To the Creator?
S. Yes.
R. So why are you crying?
S. I'm not crying, I'm asking if this is correct work or not?
R. Turning to the Creator is definitely correct.
S. So how do I know that I cross this busy road and I'm in the right place?
R. You're not in the right place, you are in the right action. You are in the right action, in a prayer to the Creator. What are you asking for?
S. I want not to leave His hand and to reach the other side.
R. So that he will take you forward?
S. Yes.
R. And what about the group?
S. Of course, I believe that to give my hand to the Creator is to be with the friends, to be with them. means to come adhere to them and to work with annulment and not to activate my mind and the understandard when the Creator wants to give me His hand, it's through the friends?
R. Perfect. So what else do you want?
S. I just wanted to know if I understand correctly, if I'm acting correctly, and this is the right way?
R. okay. Do you understand what he's saying?
S. Yes.
20. S. (01:07:10) A person that tries to connect, it's not natural and he does not feel any reward in it. Is it correct to say that then the Klipa comes?
R. A person that is trying to connect is in a state where he has no choice, no other choice, he wants it; he understands that it is a means by which he can attain all of the attainment, all of the states. So why not?
S. He does not see in it any rewards so that is why I wanted to ask because here he goes into this role of the shell, like a fake reward and then he has motivation to connect. Is that one of the roles of the shell to give him this fake reward so it will motivate him?
R. I don't quite understand. How does the shell tempt you so much that you're saying this?
.
S. It says now we will go together, we'll go somewhere, we'll connect, so I’m thinking of all kinds of pleasures that the shell depicts to me that there are all kinds of interesting things there and then along the way of course I connect and everything but it's just connection, only that? Without imagining something around it? It is impossible. That is why I'm asking if it is correct to say that that is the role of the Klipa?
R. It's not quite the shell but rather this way in an incomplete way these desires might pull us in their direction.
S. Then for the time being that is our work?
R. Yes.
S. So that is not a Klipa?
R. No.
S. So what is it, fake pleasures?
R. Pleasures that pull you, that attract you and for the time being you are included in the ten and you are advancing.
S. We learned that one of the roles of the Klipa is that it extends time, that’s why there’s time in our world, a gap between the action and the reward. If I could enjoy bestowal at this moment, it’s ok but I can't. That's why there's an action and then the reward comes after a period of time, is that correct to say?
R. Yes.
S. So the Klipa actually extends time?
R. Yes, because of the Klipot we have the concept of time.
S. So how to shorten that gap?
R. It is the extent that you see the reward in the action of the bestowal itself.
S. I understand but how so i reach it, I want to be in it?
R. You wish to enjoy immediately, and that is why you agree to see reward in the action of bestowal.
S. Yes, I want to enjoy immediately, in every act of connection that I’ll have today in the ten?
R. Yes and where will be the work, the exertion, the prayer, or overcoming, inclusion? Where is all of that?
S. I can skip it,
R. Haha..
S. For the purpose of creation?
R. To skip directly to the purpose of creation everyone wants, with their entire ego.
S. In general we need to aspire to that, to enjoy that same action?
R. Yes.
21. S. (01:11:10) We heard the word connection a few times today. Sometimes there are people that it does not awaken any discernment in them to work, and sometimes the person does have a discernment but he does not notice anything and it doesn't awaken in him where to go with it. What is the advice to awaken again this discernment in the person on which he can work in it?
R. A person has to depict for himself what is the end of correction, the correction of creation. That there's no difference between everything; left, right, bestowal, reception, everything works only on connection. And connection is, another word is Unity perhaps, that Unity is the correct word for the end of the action of the entire creation. We should try relative to a state of connection, everyone in everyone, which is the essence of the Creator that he should come to.
S. So, let's say it in my own words to see if I understand it will say it correctly, I have to depict this whole state of the end and to see how this attitude takes place in me and also in all of my environment.
R. Yes, as much as possible.
22. S. (01:13:31) Why is it difficult for a person to discover the place of the correction, it is confusing completely what do we need to do?
R. I did not understand what you're asking?
S. It is not clear which desire we need to correct now even though those questions won’t come directly but in all kinds of indirect ways?
R. Incorporate in the group and it will become more clear. I have nothing to say otherwise.
23. S. (01:15:30) what is the quality of judgment that is incorporated in the equality of Mercy, is written the quality of judgment is Elokim and the quality of Mercy is HaVaYaH. What are these two forces with respect to us?
R. Is it two ways of behavior of the Creator towards us; Din and Rahamim, judgment and mercy.
S. What are they?
R. Two forces.
S. And what does it mean that they incorporated between them?
R. That they are both working in order to attain one goal.
24. S. (01:16:18) When these questions come that lead us to criticism of the environment, of the friends, how in that state can I rise above the criticism? What advice can you give me?
R. You have to take this criticism and add them to your work. That is it. Justify it and raise it towards connection and by that your connection with the ten, with the Creator will get stronger and you will come a little bit closer to the goal. Okay?
S. I noticed that in this process it is not the same for men and women.
R. This process is not even the same for each and every one.
25. S. (01:17:36) Can we say that the reason why the Creator puts a person into the will to receive is that by that the Creator brings the person into faith by awakening fear in him?
R. Correct, correct that is the way we advance. That is why the good and the bad inclination both of them bring him into the purpose of creation, two angels
26. S. (01:18:25) It is written here that the Creator did everything so that he would be feared and we also learn that he gives everything but fear.
R. That is because spiritual fear towards the Creator is something that we have to develop inside of us ourselves to make sure it is there and not that we take it as ready from above.
S. It is also written that when the who and what questions come to a person, and as I understand it happens so that a person will keep the Commandment of faith, then the person has to come to a state of fear.
R. Yes.
S. But he says here that the person has to grab this opportunity, these questions that awaken him and instead of running away from the work it says he has to grab the opportunity and not miss out on it. This kind of reaction, is this called fear or a sign of fear?
R. It could be. I cannot say it. It is all revealed in the connection. In the connection as much as you are concerned and you are really trembling for the connection to work according to that you will come closer to implementing the goal.
27. S. (01:20:26) I wanted to share my inspiration from the article Rabash is describing so beautifully the states we go through. When we feel quietness without the changing of states and when we begin to feel the bad and the good we begin to feel that everything is good. Through this the Creator builds us and it is amazing how Rabash wrote all those states.
R. Okay.
28. S. (01:21:15) It is written at the end of the article: what is this work for you that you want to work only in order to bestow? He is asking what will you gain by that but rather we have to work only for ourselves. So the question is: Rabash writes these questions, what scrutinies do we have to make between us in the ten?
R. He writes about the scrutinies that we need to do there, why? For what? How we connect in order to scrutinize these questions. How we come closer to the goal through each and every question according to every connection that we attain on the path, he writes about it.
29. S. (01:22:17) It is written that by awakening the shells in us he awakens in us the necessity to ask him each time. It is written here that as a result of this help we can reveal NRNHY. The question is how do we, as a result of the rejection of the Creator, reveal his help as NRNHY and not as an awakening and then rejection and then another awakening and another distraction.
R. By the Creator constantly directing us, moving us, lifting, lowering us, we are in these questions we get partial answers and then according to that we start seeing how he is playing with us and from this game we start feeling and seeing and recognizing Him, His purpose and in this this way we discover the Creator himself.
30. S. (01:23:40) We are thankful for the existence of the shells and we cannot avoid them. We cannot prevent the shells from grabbing the friends so what can we do for the friends who cannot deal with the shells?
R. Just connect to them and raise them like you do with a person who is drowning in the water so you jump to him, grab him and try to rise with him up in the air.
31. S. (01:24:41) How can we use or avoid the evil inclination, let's say the serpent, from suckling from the force of bestowal in the ten?
R. I did not understand, please repeat.
S. How can we use or avoid the evil inclination, say the serpent, from suckling from the force of bestowal in the ten.
R. We need to make sure it does not happen that the serpent will not suckle from the force of bestowal;. meaning, do such actions that they will be protected from the suckling of the shells.
S. What is the role of the fear of the Creator from preventing the serpent from suckling from the ten?
R. That each and everyone will, and all of us together, will be equipped with that spiritual fear and by that we prevent the serpent from suckling when we are in that spiritual fear. We have this mutual warning or caution that we will not let the shells suckle from our work. It is a very important action.
32. S. (01:27:13) You said that we should not throw away these question as though they do not exist.
R. I'm not going to elaborate anymore what we did was already elaborated, repeated a few times so if you have more questions then ask.
33. S. (01:27:48) It is written that as long as a person has two inclinations they are divided, disputed, sometimes the good overcomes, sometimes the bad overcomes. How can it be that I cannot choose between good and bad: this is good this is bad why should I not choose the good?
R. You are not responsible for the next moment but what awakens in your mind and heart that is how you behave.
S. So if the two are equal or the same, equal in power, how can we choose?
R. We have not reached that yet, you do not see the two before you yet and that you are choosing anything. Try to see them, that they are before you, then you will see.
34. S. (01:28:58) Nothing disappears from reality when there is a quality of the evil inclination that I correct. Does it mean that I correct the way I look at this quality and only this changes and the bad quality does not exist in my reality but it exists in the general reality?
R. Correct, correct.
35. S. (01:29:30) Because we are within reason we cannot answer the questions of the shells but is it only through the answers that come through the Creator and through the work in the ten?
R. Yes, yes, that way.
36. S. (01:30:18) When we come to the ten and see the breaking in the ten there are two points here that I have to connect the broken pieces, connect them in my heart, and when that succeed you do this work but there's another point that other friends cannot bring the pieces together. Help us how to work with it if you feel that your heart is dead in this and the friends have to do their work and this is really the lie that I see that the heart does not want to work and to ask when the friends who see the shattering can't piece it together.
R. As a principal it is right.
37. S. (01:31:28) In the ten we work a lot on opening the heart, the question is how can the heart eventually overcome the mind in which so many questions arise during the study?
R. If we go according to what we are learning gradually everything works out.
38. S. (01:32:16) Along the way there are all kinds of disturbances, some disturbances are to escape from the work, there is rejection from the friends, repulsion from the friends, the who and what questions. What are the differences between the different types of disturbances?
R. It also depends on the person's character and the conditions that he is in. So that is why we cannot easily sort it out and decide. We have to see according to the person himself as much as it affects them, according to that importance then you can sort it out and solve it.
S. Can we say that the who and what questions are the most meaningful?
R. All the questions come from who and what.
39. S. (01:33:32) Overcoming the who question, does it bring us to work not for her sake and overcoming the what question brings us to work for her sake?
R. No, it could also be the opposite, no.
40. S. (01:34:05) This article on the one hand is so precise and really sits in your heart and then all of a sudden it ends as if Rabash disappears. He tells you what you are going through and then disappears so it is not clear what is the work because these questions if they are strong they close you, they close your heart, so how do you continue from this?
R. It does not continue from here. From here you have to continue in the group, discuss things with them, check it, that is the work of a person in the group.
41. S. (01:34:58) It is written I have created the evil inclination, I have created the Torah as a spice. Can you explain what it means and how we can be partners with Him in this?
R. The Creator created the evil inclination in us and he created the Torah as a spice that through the Torah we can scrutinize what the evil inclination is and correct it until it becomes the good inclination. That is it, all of that work is already through the connection, connecting to the friends in the group, this is where the work happens.
