179. It is written, “‘Curse Meroz,’ said the angel of the Lord.” When the holy king gave his home to the queen, he deposited all his arms and lances and mortars in her hands, and entrusted to her all his warriors, as it is written, “Behold, it is Solomon’s carriage.” Malchut, sixty mighty men surround her, from the mighty men of Israel, who are HGT NHY from the side of Gevura. Each consists of ten, and when the Creator makes war, He makes with those mighty warriors, and they are called “veterans of war.”
180. It is written, “From heaven the stars fought, from their courses they fought against Sisera.” When Israel volunteered to reveal the holy inscription of circumcision in their flesh, that sword that avenges the vengeance of the covenant, Malchut, gathered all her armies and all the arms, and all those warriors to make war against Sisera, and the stars were pouring fire from above. Rabbi Shimon said, “Each star has its own name, as it is written, “He called them all by name.”
181. The Creator said to the stars, “Prepare yourselves to avenge against Sisera the vengeance of My children, for I am destined to avenge them” one vengeance for six hundred carriages that He lent to the ministers of Egypt so they would make war against Israel, as it is written, “He took 600 of the best chariots, and all the other chariots of Egypt.
“And another vengeance for My children, for afflicting them thus far.” Because of it, they were sentenced to two judgments, one in water and one in fire. In water, because it is written, “The River Kishon swept them away.” In fire, as it is written, “The stars fought from their courses.”
182. Among those stars, there was one star that did not come to that revenge, and was cursed forever that when it begins to shine, the rest of the stars come and swallow it, and its entire camp, and every last one of them is lost, as it is written, “‘Curse Meroz,’ said the angel of the Lord.”
Does the angel have permission to curse anyone? After all, he is an angel, of whom it is written, “And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel.” This is the one that all the wars are his, the Malchut.
183. It is written, “Because they did not come to the help of the Lord.” This is when Israel went out from Egypt.” “To the help of the Lord,” with mighty ones, those sixty mighty ones that came to fight against Sisera, the sixty mighty men around Solomon’s couch. And that angel, all the judgments and all the wars of the king are in his possession, and it is written about that, “the angel of the Lord, as it is written, “the angel who redeems me,” Malchut.
That angel is destined to be high and honorable in the future [end of correction], and by this, the holy name will grow and be sanctified. With this angel, the Creator will avenge the idol-worshiping people, and it is written about that, “And I will grow and be sanctified.”
