The Relationship between Athletes and Coaches, Teachers and Students

The relationship between athletes and coaches is very special. A coach is everything for the athlete as without the coach the athlete would remain like raw material. The coach makes everything from that raw material, so the medal also belongs to the coach. On the other hand, the coach sees and feels that the athlete sacrificed himself in order to carry out the coach’s orders and instructions to achieve something together. This relationship has to be warm and loving. As a proverb suggests, a real teacher does not envy his students, as one wants to put everything into the student and whatever the student achieves is the teacher’s success. My feeling toward my teacher, Rabash, is the same. If I ever come to something important and great, it is only thanks to him. Even now I feel him next to me. And regarding my students, I anticipate them to reach such degrees, that the Creator will be revealed in each of them and between them, and that they will also become great teachers for humanity. My relationship to my students is not “love” per se; it is more the continuation of the path, when the student becomes your hands and your mind, that everything you want to do in life, you put into the student and he carries it forth.
