Hurting The Ego

Question: You mentioned before the concept of transcending the will to receive and then you said: "Transcending the I."

Transcending means that you identify with the Creator that governs your will to receive—your ego.

Let's say that I hurt you and you feel personally hurt. You feel that you're against; you want to shut yourself down; you want to kind of protect yourself and maybe attack. Inside, you're all on fire, or you don't feel it as a personal hit, as we say, rather you feel that there is an egoistic will to receive that you relate to as something that needs to be corrected and you don't mind. You don't take it as a personal blow at all. You actually identify with the one who hurt you and you're even thankful for it. This is called: turning from an enemy to a friend and by that feeling of a blow you can come out of it and move away from it, instead of protecting it. You can use that situation and be grateful for that blow you feel, because it helps you disconnect from it.
