In recent years, there has been a constant increase in demand for plastic surgery among teenagers, fueled by the obsession with their physical appearance. This has promoted the “selfie culture” on social media, and standards of absolute beauty that have put teenagers in a position where their physical beauty is under constant scrutiny. Kabbalist Dr Michael Laitman shares his view on this: “I think that there should be a mandatory education law, no plastic surgery if you are under 18. Education means teaching people how to look on the inside: to examine their qualities, their attitude toward life, and toward other people. Confidence in who you are and your love toward others is eventually what will attract others, and not your great physical beauty.”
