Part 1:

From Lo Lishma [not Lishma], we come to Lishma [Lishma] - Selected Excerpts from the sources. #8

1. Rav’s Introduction: Yes, all of man’s work in our world is in order for us to shift and make the transition from Lo Lishma to Lishma. So when we are born we are born in the will to receive for oneself and also on a very low degree in a corporeal, beastly degree as we see with little children or animals and when we grow up as we ourselves grow throughout our life and from generation to generation we are actually add to ourselves a greater will to receive. And also what we call life experience and this is how sometimes we reach such states where we ask what is the benefit out of life? Or in other words; is there a higher goal than just living, existing for a while? And out of these questions that nature is awakening in us we reach questions about life and existence and the purpose, is it worth while and so on and here we already begin to engage in the questions of human where the animate species do not have such questions and the human beings already ask about the purpose and according to this purpose also, as Baal HaSulam explains to us in all kinds of places, according to the purpose we are also divided into all kinds of groups and levels and it happens until we understand, or at least a part of us understands that the purpose of men in this world is to attain the upper force.

And also the Kabbalists explain to us that this goal or purpose does not exist inside of the person to begin with but rather the Creator sends us these questions. And we advance in such a way and this is actually the first process and then we begin to ask why, and what for, and according to this people also come to us, to the wisdom of Kabbalah and this is how we develop. We begin to ask what is the meaning of our life. This is how the sages of Kabbalah defined this question for us; what is the meaning of our life, meaning why is it worthwhile living and what is worthwhile to live for and then according to the person's desire he reaches all kinds of classes.

Reading 8. Twice (06:17) “The entry into the work..”

2. R. (10:33) This means that in whatever the person is engaging in this world it is all in all in order to increase the pleasure. This is the person's nature that is demanding it from him and he does not want more than that, he's not expecting more, he does not understand it. He is just like a baby or a little child, he only thinks about what is to his benefit in each and every moment. Each and every day he's searching and looking for his benefit and this is how he continues his existence, and we are the same. There is nothing we can do about it, we cannot get out of the boundaries of nature. But if we engage in coming out of our ego by wanting to come out of the ego, somehow breaking out of the egoistic boundaries at least a little bit, towards connection with the group, with the friends, with others then we are able to also begin to feel that there is another force that is operating in our world, which is the force of bestowal.

According to this as much as we want to seemingly reach bestowal, to this extent we feel that this force of bestowal exist in nature, around us and the then we will try to feel it and this force is going to influence as more and more according to our exercises in the group in the study in the relations between us in the group and then we are going to begin to feel that this will influence us more and more according to our exercises in the group, in the study, in the relations between us in the group and then we will begin to feel that this force that operates in the world is not as our force, it is not the force of reception where we draw everything to ourselves but rather it is the force of bestowal that fills around us all of this great space called our world. And this is how we get closer to it, advance towards it and become like it more and more. This means that we will understand it better and feel it more and be in the same form of it, in the same nature. That’s it.  This is how we will advance. So everything starts with such efforts that we make each one within himself, each one towards the friends and all of us together towards the whole of reality and all of us together towards the Creator, the one Creator. This is clear, are there any questions?

3. S. (14:26) In the text he is saying that we have to do an action called faith. Can I do this action? What is this?

R. When you try to be in actions of bestowal to the friends, to the Creator as much as you understand it and you are capable of it this is called actions of bestowal or actions of faith.

S. Even if I am still in Lo Lishma?

R. Of course. You try, it is always coming from Lo Lishma to Lishma.

4. S. (15:21) If I start an action and discover throughout the action that there is some gain or some benefit should I continue this action or not?

R. Again.

S. I start an action of connection with the friends and identify that at the end that I'm receiving a huge pleasure. I detect the pleasure in advance, is this forbidden?

R. It is permitted as long as this is not the end, not the goal but just the means.

S. Okay I understand. I have another question, let’s say that if I do not have any strength to make any action right now.

R. What does it mean not at all?

S. I know that there is a connection and I cannot connect.

R. Even if you imagine yourself in some good state and you can’t do that either?

S. This is exactly what I'm asking, so if I imagine a pleasure to me that if I connect I get some pleasure or reward from it because I remember that from previous connections I had pleasure, is that permitted?

R. You see this is how we draw children, that it is allowed to do it at the beginning of the path.

5. S. (16:54) In the state of Lishma does the person have pleasure?

R. In Lo Lishma?

S. In Lishma?

R. In both states the person has pleasure and also in the purpose of creation the person has pleasure. The question is about the quantity and quality.

S. What is the difference between pleasure in Lo Lishma and Lishma?

R. It is pleasure from reception and pleasure from bestowal.

S. He writes that the Segula of faith brings him greater pleasure in quantity and quality. What does it mean? What is this Segula of faith and what pleasure does it bring?

R. If he is operating out of bestowal then he begins to receive unlimited pleasure.

S. And the pleasure that he receives is not putting him back to Lo Lishma?

R. No because this is pleasure which is already closed in reflected light.

6. S. (18:06) A person who comes to study and he feels the light, he is feeling great pleasures that are not from this world as Rabash writes and bit-by-bit this pleasure leaves him and he has to achieve a greater pleasure. Now naturally when he is told that he has to draw the light that reforms, that corrects, he is drawn to the pleasure that he felt at the beginning, how to change this approach that he is drawing the light that reforms but for a different goal?

R. He should feel despair from his initial search.

S. And that also comes from the light?

R. No, it brings despair. He has to despair from all of his egoistic actions and egoistic searches which he performs in order to receive, with the force of reception and he sees that he gets nothing out of it until finally he despairs, and then according to that or even before that, a little bit before, he begins to see that apparently his approach is wrong, and so the society. If he is connected to the friends the society directs him in which way it is possible to develop in order to discover the reality, the center of reality.

S. So we can say that through despair he is coming to Lishma?

R. From the despair in the egoistic search he reaches Lishma.

7. S. (20:27) So I tried to understand the steps working from the force of reception that is corporeal pleasures and then there is the first pleasure from spirituality which is still drawn from a vessel of reception and then we come to despair from this initial quest and then we begin to work with the force of bestowal?

R. Yes, from Lo Lishma to Lishma that's how it works.

S. And then we begin to work in the force of bestowal towards the environment, the friends and this brings him pleasure and this is the beginning of the work. So what is the work from here, after the work in the society brings him pleasure? There seems to be pleasure from spirituality, from bestowal, so what is the work here now?

R. You should continue and see.

S. Does he have to change something in the style of his work?

R. The person should always yearn as much as possible, as much as he is capable of, to bestow to the society; and out of that he will understand how he should orient himself to the Creator. There is no more than these two degrees, from the love of people to the love of the Creator.

S. In the work of bestowing to the society there is also a sort of despair? That it is not sufficient and it needs to be also an aim towards the Creator? Like is there some transition between bestowal only to the friends or to bestow it to the Creator?

R. There are many such states. It is called descents and ascents and we have to advance through them.

S. So what develops after we work in the society? What to pay attention to? When is this opportunity to also bestow to the Creator? What is that stage?

R. That stage of bestowal to the Creator it cannot come to the society if it is not solidified together because the Creator all in all is Boreh, come and see, we have to establish this state between us where we discover him, that we build him, we are establishing him and then when we feel inside the group that we have something that we are drawn to and even if it does not exist yet but instead it exist only inside our efforts that when he wants to connect and wants to get closer to each other we begin to feel that we have this force, this ability to imagine him, to build him as the result of our connection and unity and this is what we try to establish and this is why it is written: you have made me and other such quotes.

S. Can we say that this thing that we try to build is an atmosphere in the ten? They're always pulling us forward?

R. Yes, it is also the atmosphere and the knowledge and the feeling and also our states that we establish in that, how much we build between us the image of the Creator.

8. S. (25:10) The Baal HaSulam writes that Lo Lishma is no less important that Lishma in the study and we know that in Lo Lishma there are quite a few prohibitions and the question is whether in Lishma there are greater prohibitions and if so why?

R.  According to the plan, the software there should be no suffering, rather it all happens because we are not going through the degrees correctly.

S. What does it mean?

R. That we’re not yearning correctly and with the power that we need to have to get closer to the purpose of creation.

S. When we begin to study in Lo Lishma we still don’t know the purpose of creation. The person starts studying but he feels that he's not going anywhere, he's not advancing, he’s even going backwards and it’s difficult. So to reach Lishma is already in order to bestow. Why would he then have suffering at all?

R. When he reaches Lishma? I’m not saying he has any suffering.

S. So in Lishma there is no suffering?

R. Of course not because he's operating entirely for the Creator. He has whom to turn to, he has someone to bestow to, he feels the upper one, his loved one etcetera, so there is no place, no reason.

9. S. (27:29) Is there a connecting stage between Lo Lishma and Lishma or is it a complete inversion? Is there some transition between Lo Lishma into Lishma?

R. Well it’s cause and effect.

S. It sounds like a total inversion, is there a stage that connects them?

R. Between every two states there is inversion because there are new records, new states. Sometimes we can say that this is the cause and this is the consequence of it, sometimes we can say that there is a closeness between them, it’s like a smooth transition. But actually everywhere you have a small breaking and an inversion because it all stems from the general shattering of Adam HaRishon, of that system itself. This is why you have a shattering everywhere and that shattering is what you have to correct, even though usually you’re not aware of it for the time being but in between this is how it exists.

10. S. (29:19) He is writing that the pleasure from faith is greater in quantity and quality. How do you even receive pleasure from faith?

R. The pleasure from faith is the pleasure that I’m connected to the host. I enjoy being with Him, bestowing to Him and He’s enjoying from me. There is no pride here from my side, I’m connected to Him and I don’t get any greatness from this but simply from bestowing to the host I get pleasure. This is called light. We will reach it and feel it but it’s possible to depict it.

11. S. (30:24) Can we feel the desire to bring pleasure and joy to the Creator in Lo Lishma?

R. In the state of Lo Lishma is it possible to feel the desire to be like the Creator? Well in an incomplete, false manner sometimes yes, when a person goes through all kinds of Illusions.

12. S. (31:00) What is the difference between pleasure as a goal and pleasure as a means, how is it felt?

R. It’s just like in our world. If it’s pleasure as a goal it’s childish. Pleasure as a means is a higher degree where I use the pleasure in order to advance, in order to reach something, something else, not the pleasure itself. But I know that without the feeling of pleasure on the way I will not be able to rise to that next degree. I even establish for myself certain pleasures that will appear to me on the way, that I feel them on the way in order to nevertheless leave my present state and rise to a new degree. We do it even subconsciously, even subconsciously we do it because without pleasure it’s impossible to live.

13. S. (32:11) If I plan an action of bestowal towards the ten and I see that there is an intention for self do I cancel the action until I know it’s for the benefit of the friends?

R. No, even though it is for my own benefit but I can learn from it, from this action something good so I can continue with it. I can continue with it even though it is an egoistic action but it’s not possible for me to do anything else right now so I can continue this action and learn from it all kinds of phenomena, results. If I am already aware of the situation to a certain degree then it is worthwhile.

14. S. (33:24) You once described to us such a stage that when a person becomes closer to Lishma he begins to enjoy bestowal.

R. Pleasure from bestowal, that’s the purpose of creation.

S. Yes but there is some connecting stage before Lishma, adjacent to Lishma when a person begins to enjoy bestowal. Can you describe that?

R. Maybe because he's bestowing in order to receive.

S. So that’s a greater will to receive then?

R. The great will to receive where he sees that if he bestows then he’ll enjoy and the more he gives he enjoys it. It depends on how much he has a great host and how much the host gives more, pays more.

S. So what happens at the end of that stage when he clings to Lishma, is there some despair?

R. He doesn’t adhere to Lishma, he becomes attached to the reward, the payment. But take it slowly, this is already on the way. It passes and one reaches his own correction.

15. S. (34:53) Is it possible for us to discern that when it says Lishma it’s for the sake of the Torah and Lishmo for the sake of the Creator?

R. No we can’t yet precisely distinguish these things but for the sake of the Torah is more precise. For the sake of the Creator it’s like a pinpoint, it will come later inside of it.

S. Does it mean that for the sake of the Creator is from fear and for the sake of the Torah is from love? When the person begins to work towards the Creator in bestowing in order to bestow it’s from fear and for the sake of the Torah is receiving in order to bestow from love?

R. No it’s not like that, we will get into that later.

16. S. (36:03) You said that there is a shattering everywhere and to correct it. What is the feeling of shattering in the person?

R. There is shattering everywhere that we have to correct. Well we discover everywhere both the force of connection and also the force of rejection and we use both of them in order to advance onward from degree to degree.

S. How do we correct that point of shattering?

R. We overcome it. This is considered that we rise to the next degree, that everything is revealed to me in the present degree as rejection, as impatience, disorder, etcetera. It all happens in order for me to rise above it and connect with the friends and with the Creator. Then I will understand that this whole shattering gives me preparations for the next degree.

17. S. (37:36) About pleasure as a means or as a goal, we learn that the purpose of creation is to benefit the created beings, to fill us with pleasure. Now we know we are the biggest egotists, we came here because we’re looking for the greatest pleasure that can be received. So where does it even change, that pleasure becomes a means instead of the goal?

R. It depends on the environment. As much as I get from the environment the greatness of the Creator then I’m drawn not to the pleasure but to the one who manages the pleasure, the source of the pleasure. There’s a difference here between what influences my senses, how He influences my senses and how I feel who I’m dealing with.

S. That too I make a calculation and I understand there's a greater pleasure in serving the giver of the pleasure.

R. That’s for the time being but these states will later be replaced.

S. So..?

R. In the meantime go along with it as much as you can and most importantly through the connection with their friends; that you connect to each and every discernment through the friends. Then you will see how much it immediately starts to take on a new characteristic.

18. S. (39:27) It’s written that the quality of faith and bestowal gives pleasure. As the states are replaced we feel good and this is called Lo Lishma, when you feel this pleasure from the connection with the friends. What do you do with it, how do you redirect it, turn it so that eventually it’s for the Creator?

R. By this pleasure we connect more and more between us, we receive strength from Him to be in connection and then this strength, this force becomes our new vessel which grows.

19. S. (40:25) You said there is no suffering in Lishma so there could be suffering in Lo Lishma so what is the pleasure actually? What sort of pleasure do we have in Lo Lishma when working towards Lishma? What sort of vessel are we already working with to receive this pleasure?

R. We try to be connected between us and then we establish above us a special force which is really the closeness to the Creator and that’s how we advance further and further. We have an illumination that comes from working on connection. It all depends on the relationships between the friends and that’s it.

20. S. (41:46) We heard from your words that the stage of bestowal to the Creator, we may not get there. The question is do we have as a ten such a goal to bestow to the Creator?

R. We need to discuss it between us everyday for a few minutes, to make it clear that we are not forgetting about our main goal, to reach bestowing contentment to the Creator.

21. S. (42:35) The pleasure is light. Should we always scrutinize where this pleasure comes from and for whose benefit? Should we always stand guard even when we get positive states and scrutinize all of that?

R. When we receive connection with the light we ourselves want to explore what is the source of the light, at what intensity, why does it come to us, how do we increase it and so forth. That’s our life, that’s the pleasure that fulfills us. So we’re drawn to be in connection with Him for various reasons. So exploring the light, its source, its conditions and how it arrives to us, this is our work.

22. S. (43:54) What is a real ten that enables a person to be able to work in a complete manner and what is the outcry required in order to awaken this true deficiency?

R. First of all that ten people are coming together to achieve a goal in the connection between them, this is something very, very great and there is actually nothing greater in all of reality because they are trying to connect the broken pieces from the matter of creation. This is something that is opposite to our nature and therefore we have to understand it. We’re going against nature and our reward is in that the Creator will help us, only the Creator, there’s no one else who can help. And when we connect, we come to the correction of the whole of reality in it's central point where all the world's, all of the galaxies, it doesn't matter what you call them, all of those forces that exist in reality by our work, they join into a single system.

23. S. (45:50) You mentioned before that every state has an opposite state. How do we look at it because we want connection and unity on the next level but we have these oppositions. We might think that they actually neutralize or cancel out each other. Is it like electricity, plus and minus that creates a greater energy, how to look at this?

R. Yes in both matters we have to see our state. The main thing is that each time they have some dynamic of increasing connection.

S. So is it annihilation or do they create a higher energy?

R. Yes and to learn how to build it.

24. S. (46:53) If I don’t have greater pleasure in quantity and quality as the article writes does it mean that I’m not in Lo Lishma, meaning is this a test for us that we can use?

R. No, we just always have to try and rise to an even higher degree.

S. So is this pleasure. You replied to one person that we are exploring the light and the source, this is our work. Is this the pleasure that we need to find?

R. Yes, discovering the connection with the Creator is the pleasure we should attain.

25. S. (48:00) Is the first degree of Lishma, does it only exist in the ten, does it start only out of my ten?

R. Our first degree begins from the ten of course, and before we close ourselves in the ten we have no spiritual degree.

26. S. (48:47) Sometimes we can only be happy because of our friends’ happiness but this also occurs only for a very short time. How do we prolong this feeling that we’re happy because the friends are happy?

R. To the extent that we feel that we’re in a single vessel, the joy of the friends becomes our joy.

27. S. (49:27) Lo Lishma is not for her sake. Why her and not his in English?

R. The question is whether it’s for the sake of the Creator or for the sake of the Torah, we’ll learn this. It’s very good that you asked but we’re not going to get into this now, we’ll learn this later on. Why is it called Lishma, for the sake of the Torah and not Lishmo which refers to the sake of the Creator, so we’re doing it for the Creator or for the Torah.

28. S. (50:27) Job was a great Kabbalist that had great suffering, was he in Lo Lishma?

R. I haven't spoken to him so I cannot speak in his name.

29. S. (51:05) In the preparation for the lesson we heard the clip from Rabash. Can we understand from this clip that Lishma means to know that you’re not in Lishma but to nevertheless feel that you are in Lishma?

R. There are many states in Lo Lishma and in Lishma where we understand one thing from the thing that’s next to it, you’re right.

30. S. (51:40) In this excerpt there’s a feeling that he didn’t explain it all the way. I don’t want to receive for myself anymore but also for the Creator, He doesn’t need anything. So what should I do here? What pleasure exactly do I receive?

R. Just like in your life you don't just live for yourself. You have parents, you have children perhaps grandchildren soon maybe and you live for all of them. And sometimes we hear from people, from friends that they just want to let everything go and just go somewhere to an isolated place and only think of themselves and this is from despair, when we hear such things from the friends.

A person has to be connected to everyone and we see how the media and our entire life, all of it leads us to greater and greater, tighter connection between us. And we’ll reach a point where everyone feels that he lives not in his computer with the rest of the world but in his mind and his heart in a way that he can’t escape it, that he can’t run away from it. And by this the Creator will obligate us to be connected as one man with one heart. For now we are rejecting this state, we don’t want this state but it will come. Some of it will come by itself, some of it because there’s no other choice and some of it because we want it. So you’ll see how it happens. All in all we all need to be experts in connection between us. Just like today if you want something you have to know how to turn on a computer, how to connect to everyone, how to work with all kinds of numbers and emails and so forth and that will be more and more the case in the future.

31. S. (55:01) Some time ago you said that according to the plan we should not have suffering. The question is why do we suffer, what are we missing so that our yearning will be above all of these sufferings?

R. I didn’t understand what she asked and what was the translation.

S. She’s asking If in the plan of creation there is no intention for us to suffer why do we suffer and how can we create such a yearning that is beyond suffering?

R. We suffer where we are not organized. It’s like when you have some pain in your body, it indicates that there’s something wrong there either because of an outside reason or because of an internal reason of the body. And so we understand that if we are well-organized with the Creator on each and every degree, that He fulfills everything and governs everything then we need to feel in every corrected state we have, we’re supposed to feel ourselves in a completely perfect form. Only between the degrees, between the states we will feel unpleasantness and that too is in order to move to the next state that is more complete. That’s our life.

32. S. (57:33) You said that suffering comes because we are not yearning sufficiently for the purpose of creation. So the question is how do I punish a child from not longing for what I want him to long for? Why isn’t it coming in a good way where I can make him more interested in it?

R. Look we can’t advance from good, we advance from feeling a lack where we are, a deficiency and correspondingly we feel the future space where a pleasure needs to come or at least less deficiency, less pain. And then the potential between this and that gives us the strength of movement and that’s how we advance from state to state. All in all the will to receive can’t detect or distinguish between more than two states, pleasure and pain but you’re in a society. A society can play with both what you feel now and what you may feel in the future. A society can give you a feeling that it’s worthwhile or not worthwhile. So that’s how lust and honor can influence you and take you out of this world.

33. S. (59:39) I have a question about this topic, may I? We’re engaging too much in this topic that's how I feel. Why clarify it and clear where I am? I don't care, I'm telling you personally I don't care if I'm in Lishma or Lo Lishma, I don't want to hear about it. I personally don't want to clarify where it is, I don't care. I care about my people. The Creator doesn't need support, He doesn't have any deficiencies, he doesn't feel pain but my people, they need it, they need support and help and I care about them first. I don't care about clarifying where I am, what is this state, is a Lishma or Lo Lishma. Let Him put me in whatever state He wants me in, degree number seven in hell. My people come first. That's what I care about.

R. Good, so you prefer to first be concerned about the group?

S. Yes, first of all the poor people of my town then the rest of them.

R. So you care for the group. How do you care about the group about what they will have, what do you want to organize for them?

S. I try, I don’t always succeed but I try to give them examples, support them, strengthen them.

R. In what direction?

S. Direction of bestowal.

R. Direction of bestowal, direction of connection, yes that’s what we’re talking about.

S. Okay, I don't mean that. I mean we don't need to scrutinize so much what exactly is it, Lishma, Lo Lishma, these states, the states in between them. We're engaging too much in all of this, where we are exactly rather than the fact of what we're doing.

R. I understand you, your complaint is that we talk too much.

S. We try to scrutinize too much where exactly we are on the path instead of just doing it and giving and helping and then you will..

R. But do all those actions, all those words internally, realize them within you, in your desires, in your heart.

S. I didn't understand you, teacher.

R. That’s what we do.

S. What do we do?

R. That we have to connect, come closer to each other and I have to examine myself. How close was I yesterday to the friends? How much closer do I want to be today and let's advance, all of us together towards one goal.

S. Okay that's beautiful what you said but I wasn’t asking about that. I was asking about this whole thing, asking too much where exactly we are, this or that because there are a thousand different translations of these things and until we're there we don't understand any of it anyhow. So isn’t the action itself more important?

R. I understand you, but understand that each one has his own inner state and also his own vocabulary and thoughts. Therefore we have to agree that we don't always understand each other, but the effort to understand the other is worth more than the understanding. Because when you try to understand the other you get closer to him spiritually and that’s more important than the understanding itself.

S. Okay but what I feel is that we shouldn't teach all these things, it’s too much this approach of teaching all these scrutinies. It’s too much, we just want control, it's useless.

R. We don't have anything to do besides coming to a clear feeling in our emotions, in our desires that we’ll be able to connect in our hearts and examine each other, just like how you weigh things.

S. How much importance do you assign to me trying to clarify exactly where I am in relation to friends as opposed to acting toward the degree? How much importance do you give to scrutinizing or clarifying my state right now, am I in this or in that, this way, that way? I'm not interested in that at all, I don't even feel that I'm in this, I just have to operate for them, I just keep them in my head, that's all.

R. I understand, you're right except for one thing: that reaching the other and helping the other, even hugging the other if you can, that’s most important.

Reading Excerpt #9 twice (01:05:36) “When beginning to teach women, children and the general public…”

34. R. (01:07:09) It is interesting how Maimonides writes, that you start from teaching the women and children, slaves; look what he says that the women the children they have to be taught and all the peoples, it wasn't accepted that way, Rambam here is not afraid of saying that the Torah belongs to everyone.

Reading (01:07:49) “Then normally everyone takes after the beginning..”

35. R. (01:08:48) No one knows about it, ask anyone you want, they’ll say: of course! What do I pray for, what do I live for, why do I study, but no one, almost no one accepts this as the goal of their existence.

36. S. (01:09:20)) When does a person know that he has reached the state where he can receive direct light inside of the reflected light?

R. After the restriction that he made over himself over his will to receive and that he has a forced to overcome what’s before him and this is called screen, becomes into contact with the upper force that bestows to him and this is called reflected light and then he calculates what mutual state he and the Creator can can have to connect between them, that is it.

S. Is the Creator entirely a womb full of the light of mercy?

R. I don't know, don't ask me about the Creator.

37. S. (01:11:02) Why actually the Kabbalist hides, the effect of the purpose of creation is adhesion that the purpose of creation is adhesion with the Creator or rather that they’re all kinds of rewards for children, women, etc.. Why don't they talk about adhesion?

R. Because adhesion it’s hard to understand what it is, it's not a reward.

S. Adhesion with the Great One, with the Upper One?

R. You first have to feel the Great One, the Upper One that governs everything and then you’ll see what it means adhesion with him and what states that he is in that you will be in as well, it is not simple. It's not simple to explain and no one is drawn to that.

38. S. (01:12:09) Many times we say that the greatest reward is the ability to work in bestowal and the only opportunity to advance is to bestow to the group. Why is it even though a person understands this somehow misses out on all of these opportunities he neglects to do it?

R. There are two systems: mind and heart. In the mind perhaps he understands it but in his heart he doesn't feel it, therefore it escapes him, that is it and that is how we are divided into two systems and we don't know how to connect them correctly.

39. S. (01:13:27) Is there something that we should be concerned about adding to this initial form so that later on we guarantee that we’re working correctly?

R. We are getting closer to understanding the connection needs to be the first spiritual degree and we will all try soon to enter it, in the meantime we don't have the desire yet to exert and enter spirituality but a bit by bit it’ll happen and I truly hope that a part of us that will begin to enter it will pull after it after them all the others and then each will help his friend and by this mutual walking together we’ll all enter the first spiritual degree, you were actually in it but it is just that our vessels, the vessels where we reveal the upper world are still not ready but it’s happening so it’s already on the way.

40. S. (01:15:12) I wanted to ask what does it mean to be already to enter the spiritual degree?
R. To be ready to enter the spiritual degree means to be ready to pay for each one's ego, to pay with each one's egoistic freedom in exchange for entering the force of bestowal between us.

S. And by what exactly, with what exactly does a person pay for his egoistic freedom?

R. He pays with his egoistic freedom.

S. How does he do it?

R. He’s willing that from now on only the thoughts and desires of connection will concern him.

S. But this entry into the first degree, how does it happen? Is it that each person enters a whole Ten, how does it happen, because you said we are there but we are still not aware of it so how does this thing called first degree become realized?

R. I can't tell you, I can’t tell you. It’s not that it happened to me in a practical action in life and what didn't happen in life. I cannot say that I know, it happened but in a different way but not like it should be between tens of tens.

S. So again, the method of attainment, the method of entering spirituality, is it changing or is it uniform and doesn't matter and everyone enters the same way in the end?

R. Now you are already talking about the individuals.

S. I'm not asking about the individuals, I'm asking about the entry into the first degree?

R. Sir we didn't have this kind of state before so there is none wiser than the one with the experience and that’s why I’m one that can tell you, I'm not wise I can describe what was there in all kinds of other forms, in the Hasidic groups let's say, there are many such groups that were very serious. But I cannot convey this onwards to you and I was in there as flesh and blood either, therefore we need to continue as we are and thank God for one day to the next we feel that we are being drawn and being pushed forward.

S. I'm asking about our current situation about Bnei Baruch, all the tens we have, what does it mean that we are realizing a spiritual degree?

R. As we connect between us until we reach the degree of one man and one heart at least to the extent of one over 125 meaning the first spiritual degree and that's it, that's what we want,

S. That one first degree, how is it different from the current state? What does it have that doesn't exist now?

R. It has within it all the spiritual forces that operate within and are revealed towards us in a practical manner, forces of connection, forces of distancing, everything.

S. So I am trying to understand what conditions do we have to uphold me and what do we have to yearn for in order for it to?

R. For the time being upon which is influencing us that's what we need to yearn for, to overcome, to connect, to help one another.

41. S. (01:21:01) This excerpt, I can’t grasp it. He's talking about a situation where people and little ones are taught not to be in Lishma and then he says that the same state the general public control the person and he doesn't have to study the Torah so he’ll have the ability to reach the intention of for Her sake, so where is it in our work this whole exert, why is a person initially to work not in for Her Sake, I'm not talking about us, I’m talking for the rest of the people?

R. What nations are you talking about?

S. He's talking about desires that are called women and children who are initially taught not to work in Lishma [for her sake], and then he says the general public controls the person, the state we’re educated on controls us?

R. Otherwise they won't be anything whatsoever.

S. Right, so how do we as Bnei Baruch work with this situation?

R. You're asking about Bnei Baruch that's already several degrees above everything. Bnei Baruch is a small organization that is within an ocean of people and chooses first of all a path of building itself in a stable internal manner, meaning men first of all and around them women, and then also they want to disseminate the wisdom they have to all of humanity, to all of the people in the world.

S. So will there be a decision in the end, will there be a force that will take this whole ship to a state called for Her sake?

R. Certainly our ship is in the direction of Lishma. There is no question about that otherwise why do we study for, even the topic of the lesson. Ask, these are things that I'm ready to hear.

42. S. (1:23:53) Can it be said that every level of coarseness we shift from women to children to a higher state?

R. Yes.

43. S. (01:24:18) Would it be correct to detect that the first thing we need right now the most important thing we need right now is the mutual responsibility between us?

R. Yes.

S. What can we do in order to strengthen this mutual responsibility between us? We've been talking about this for decades. I remember in the old center we had the sign that mutual responsibility is the door to spirituality or something like that?

R. Correct, correct our food is the opening for spirituality.

S. What can we do to strengthen the mutual responsibility between us?

R. What can we do? Be in mutual responsibility, be strengthened, sanctified. So that each one of us will be the guarantor to the other because without that feeling of mutual responsibility where we’re “as one man, in one heart” We won't be able to correct ourselves because each of us one needs all of us have to be brought back to the form of the first man.

S. What can I do in order to be more in mutual responsibility, to do what you said, I want to be mutual responsibility. What should I do?

R. Connect with the friends and show everyone what your direction is, one will help his friend.

44. S. (01:25:54) We're doing all kinds of exercises of coming out of ourselves, is it a type of mutual responsibility that we're giving here?

R. Yes, certainly.

45. S. (01:26:13) Is fear the point of transition between not for her second to for her sake?

R. Yes.

S. So we need to look only at this thing called fear and get there?

R. Do you know what fear is that you're looking for where it is? You just hear the word.

S. It's the gate to Jerusalem that's how it seems to me.

R. It’s much clearer now; meanwhile bring yourself to the previous confusions and then we’ll search for the gate.

46. S. (01:27:15) I heard you say before that in the meantime we have no desire to try to enter spirituality?

R.  See an opening before you, where this opening is exactly, according to let's say the silhouette, the form of a shadow of a person, so if everyone tries to enter that opening without bothering one another then you will succeed.

S. How do we obtain the desire to enter spirituality?

R. One will help his friend, envy, lust and honor take a person out of the world.

S. But everything we do, is that not called the desire to enter spirituality?

R. I don't know. You just saying that about the whole desire, all the actions?

S. I also don't know if it's just that I heard you say a few minutes ago that we have no desire here in the meantime we have no desire to try to enter spirituality, this is what you said.

R. It probably needs to be that I don't know in what context I said it.

S. I think in the context of entering the first degree.

R. In relation to the entry into the fist degree we probably don't have the desire, that is clear.

S. So the work we do doesn't it build in us the desire toward the first degree?

R. Yes, gradually slowly, slowly it builds a desire in us.

S. So why don't we have a desire?

R. To begin with, the Creator didn’t create it, he wanted us to demand that desire.

S. I don't know, that silhouette, that mold that we have to enter through without interfering with one another. How do you detect where you're entering?

R. As one man and one heart if they enter together like that they won't bother one another.

S. And how do you help the friend without interfering or disturbing the friend in this entry?

R. First of all we don't bother and then we help.

S. How do we not disturb them?

R. By each diminishing himself restricting himself to zero just like Rabash writes in his initial articles.

S. And with what do I help him?

R. By me helping him to answer before me.

47. S. (01:30:25) I heard you say that the mind and the heart are two disconnected systems; how do we connect them so that the heart will want to feel as well?

R. That is done through the common work, when you connect to your right side with what's before you and the left side of the friend and vice versa, then also the heart and mind are connected that way.

48. S. (01:31:08) When the ten does reach Lishma what will it look like?

R. Pink!

S. In order to want something a state we have to imagine it even acted out between us?

R. So it's one man in one heart, you have many pictures from that.

49. S. (01:31:38) You explain beautifully how I have to relate to the ten and to restrict myself and being giving to the friends and mutual responsibility; can we already talk about how the tens can be in giving to other tens or not yet?

R. No, where, talk with people who deal with systems, with even simple systems, you cannot come close to approximating systems if you don't arrange each and every system apart and scrutinize within it what's important and what not. And in what way it transitions to different states, what its characteristics are, etc. Only afterwards you come to the understanding of how you take out of it the commonality in the system and see against that, relative to the collective of another system, and then you can start seeing how you can connect these two systems by which transitory matters between them, where they need to be some kind of connector between them, and under what conditions they can exist, these connections between them, so that there won't be a matter of them not being adapted to one another, even a shattering. We will have to learn about that, but that's okay, that is already a connection, corrections where we bring Adam back into his place.

50. S. (01:34:13) Can you explain two things: what is the right intention that a person needs in order to learn Torah to obtain it; and, to what should he aim in order to bestow through the Torah itself?

R. We need to be concerned with the vessels and not the upper light that will fill the vessel when it's ready and adapt it to the light, therefore we constantly work on the connection between us, and to come to the correct connection between us each time in a higher and higher degree. This is considered ‘climbing the ladder of degrees of the commandments of the Mitzvot’. Mitzvot are considered those that the Creator commands us in order to reach the correction of Adam HaRishon, where we need to discern these actions and execute them, meaning connection, constant connection.

51. S. (01:35:53) Is it correct that you reach the real state by understanding your own complete lowliness and out of fear of exiting the control of the Creator?

R. The answer is yes, yes that's how we need to be.

52. S. (01:36:40) Continuing a previous question: this new state in our vessels feels like suffering and that brings about prayer, and the prayer is like the Creator's embrace; in previous lessons there was a question from friends, “how can suffering be sweet”?

R. I forgot the beginning of your question.

S. The question is: how to work with the growing vessel, a new state, this new state feels like suffering that brings about the prayer, and the prayer brings us into an embrace with the Creator.

R. Nevertheless, I don't understand your question, you just need to understand where you are and what you want, I cannot answer that.

S. Simple question: how do we work with the growing vessel?

R. What does it mean ‘an augmented, growing vessel’? I don't remember what the previous question was, that doesn't interest me, what it doesn't mean ‘a growing vessel’, ‘an increased vessel’?

S. You said that our unity is a result of the work on our unity.

R. Let's make ‘a gentleman’s agreement’ between us: you will try to express yourself with the same words that we use, otherwise it will be a complete misunderstanding between us. An increased, intensified vessel is one we develop inside us from one degree to the next and the growth, the intensification of the vessel comes from the increasing screen that will be required above the vessel. So that work on rising above the ego between us in the group so I will constantly feel that I am lower than the others, worse than the others, then we will advance one degree to the next.

53. S. (01:40:05) My friends come to the lesson for me, I come to the lesson for them, how do we use this correctly for the ten, for others, so it will be for the benefit of others?

R. All the friends and all of Bnei Baruch and all of humanity and towards the Creator, towards all of that, we have come to the lesson in order to bring everyone closer and to give them a place in our hearts.

54. S. (01:41:20) My question is about this excerpt: it seems to me that this maturity under whose influence I am, which is actually my own desires if I'm not in the constant scrutiny of the situation I'm in, then I'm in ‘a state of women and children’, what will deliver me out of this influence of this environment?

R. Only if you learn how to emerge out of yourself and help others, only that.

55. S. (01:42:11) Concerning the connection between the individual and the ten, how do we know that we are in a state of Lo Lishma or Lishma or in some idealistic, theoretical situation?

R. How will we know, in accordance to the connection between us, and the reality of the Creator inside this connection. Lishma is considered that we are connected together and in the connection between us we feel the connection itself, yes? The center of our connection and that the Creator is there and that is where our hearts are, and this is what we are all yearning for.

56. S. (01:43:40) When you get to the point when you can see the world, you can see the ten in the world, and you can see the ocean of desires that are all uncorrected that you seem to be connected with this as well. And it’s as though you have a connection with this ocean of all these unconnected desires and at the same time you have connection with the ten, how do you bring this all together?

R. I'm sorry for asking: do you have children?

S. Yes, I've got children and I've got grandchildren as well.

R. Wonderful, and then there is the world as well, you come to a job, to all kinds of places, to different offices, and you know that you have a home and at home you have your children and you have your grandchildren, does one bother the other? So there are these and those and those, well, so what? In our world, also, there are many systems that are closer and more distant from us and that’s how we function, you see that it functions nevertheless. We just need to try and correct the relationship, the attitude between us, that’s it.

57. S. (01:45:33) Continuation to the previous question about having no desire to enter spirituality, can we help each other awaken this desire or is it only the influence of the light on a point in the heart that helps?

R. Only through example, we should perform such actions as an example to others as we are already in spirituality. Try to the pic to yourself what it means that you are already in spirituality and show this to the friends in such a way that they will see it and not that it will just like that be in your head and then it will have an impact. This is called “one will help his friend”.

58. S. (01:46:46) Why in order to work with the friends, to serve them, do I need to love them?

R. Otherwise how?

S. Just as now, I go to work, I get up in the morning.

R. You love money therefore you like to serve your customers at the restaurant, let’s say, yes? And what here, what are you doing it for?

S. No, I'm told to do so, so I say maybe there's some reward here, I don't know what it is but to work, what do I need specifically to love them?

R. Why are you even asking about that, you probably have some interest in serving others, probably you heard or you think there's a benefit in it.

S. Yes.

R. What reward, what benefit do you want?

S. According to what Kabbalists write.

R. According to what you want.

S. I don't know, I'm just asking, if I have to work for the friends, why do I need to first of all love them or to come to love them?

R. You need to scrutinize these matters to begin with.

S. Is it connected, can’t I work for them if I don’t love them?

R. Everything is connected with one another, yes.

59. S. (01:48:16) Why does Maimonides (Rambam) say that we should begin in Lo Lishma and ‘not for her sake’, isn’t that some kind of lie, what is the purpose of beginning the study in Lo Lishma?

R. Because that's the state that we have to be to begin with, Lo Lishma this is our egoistic form  in which each is aimed towards his own benefit.

60. S. (01:49:05) It seems to me like I don't see the initial point where I started and I don't see where I come into it, I feel myself like I'm in some empty space and I cannot see the state of Lishma, ‘for her sake’, only the Lo Lishma, not for her sake, my egoistic state. What is the work that I should do, how can I advance in such a state?

R. You need to start reading all the articles, I have nothing else to say to you, it could be that you lost the string that we're holding on to and developing with.

61. S. (01:50:39) What do I need to restrict in order to help my friends and in that moment feel the state of holiness?

R. You need to think about what you exist for, by what you obtain the purpose of life, and then before you, all together, two things: we are now in separation, if we come to connection we will reveal in the connection the point of the purpose of our lives,. and that's it. Everything is very short, one step ahead only from separation to connection. And in it you obtain everything, the purpose of creation, the purpose of life, the purpose of each and everyone and all together.

62. S. (01:52:11)  I have a one year old and he makes a mess, breaks things up, he doesn't feel like, torments me, it actually feels to me that eventually some feeling of gratitude that that’s the state altogether. And now in the ten, the group, in the ten, there’s feelings that we need to go through this process to actually birth, this spiritual child between us. And there is a way to reach these sufferings and the feeling that we are building the greatness of the Creator between us?

R. So what is the question?

S. How do we create this, it’s like a sensation I’m even in joy when I'm working?

R. Because it's yours, it’s yours, in connection you're connected to him through the navel cord, the umbilical cord, and with the group you're not, that's the difference. Because there, the connection is an animal connection, just like animals and beasts, that's how we exist, but on a higher, spiritual level there's still no connection.

S. So how to exactly do that, that copy from this and that, to create this state in which between us each time there will be this state that is necessary?

R. I understand you, Miss, but for this you have to be connected to your friends just as to yourself.

S. That feels like it depends on my giving and my investments, and as much as I'm willing to give to them.

R. By all means, that's the whole point of the commandments, helping one another, yes, that's what it's all about, this is what the Creator wants to bring us to. And the end of this is the final Correction, when we are all connected together. And it all begins from your connection with the baby and ends in your connection with all of humanity, and within it with the Creator, that's the way it is.

63. S. (01:55:27) A few minutes ago you gave a recommendation to depict how I am in the spiritual state and to act it towards the friends as much as possible. And throughout the years I take an example from you, when I look at you, I on one hand am certain that you are a Kabbalist and you’re in attainment from the first day I came here. On the other hand, I see that there are no signs that you're acting towards us as a Kabbalist, other than completely no external signs, it’s like you try to show as authentic as possible human being with its emphasized qualities, just like anyone else, you don’t show any signs of a Kabbalist. How can I get an example from you and to act towards the friends?

R. I'm not giving you an example, that's obvious, I also don't so don't want to give you an example, I want you to learn it from the books of Baal HaSulam and Rabash and follow what you understand what you need to follow from those books. And if I want to give you examples, what examples?

S. I don't know, I nevertheless look at you and all these years I'm trying to learn from you, beyond, not the wisdom, I also absorb from you the spirit and all these things around, these are things that are nuances.

R. What do you see in me?

S. A lot of humbleness, even the concealment of what you’ve got.

R. I'm not concealing, I'm telling you, I'm not concealing, that's the way I am, it seems to you like Kabbalists are hiding something.

S. I don't know if it's intentional concealment but that’s exactly it, this authenticity that you broadcast, each brings his inert qualities and just to be ‘me’, not do you're trying to do something that I’m not; on the other hand, you need to act at which I’m not, or maybe what I'm not yet.

R. I'm not acting with you, I want to show you only how we should behave between us in order to achieve corrections, that's it.

S. Maybe I will take it one step forward: I’m trying to scrutinize where the line moves between acting that I'm in attainment, and the humbleness, humility?

R. I do not think we have either of them for use, that we could use, a person needs to be a person, that's it, human being, that's it. In the end, we are so naked, if you can put it this way, before each other that it won't help you to act this way or that way, it won’t do anything You also won't be able to be an actor all the time, the manner of spiritual work removes from you all of these shells that you have to address in order to show everyone to act this way or that way, no.

S. So how does this settle with the recommendation to act nevertheless, it contradicts what you said before?

R. I don't know, I'm not acting, I'm telling you, whatever comes out comes out and what doesn't, doesn't. I have students, what I can convey to them and out of this they will grow and how much they grow, that already depends on them. Besides, we need to be more directed towards the Creator, that's the main thing, and He will correct everything already.

64. S. (2:00:31) If when I read the excerpts, I get the information in my intellect, can I build on that, that this information will draw the light and enter my heart?

R. Yes, if you understand correctly, this is what will happen.

65. S. (02:01:11) Can we come to the necessary connection to enter Lishma if the majority of the ten don't arrive at the morning lessons?

R. You don't need to go, you just need to connect to the lesson, if you're not doing it, in this, if you're not connected to the lesson then there's nothing to talk to you about.

S. If you hear the lesson in the recording, is it considered that you're connecting to the lesson?

R. It’s also good, for women it’s enough.

66. S. (02:02:15) What are the conditions that we need to create in the ten in order to receive the light in the Torah, the reforming light, and what depends on me?

R. It is mandatory to be ‘as one man with one heart’, only this way.

S. And everyone needs to be in that sensation in the ten?

R. The whole group, more or less, the whole ten.

67. S. (02:02:53) What is the study of Torah in our generation, what form of study do we need to come to?

R. I don't understand what he is asking.

S. What is the study of Torah in our generation, specifically what kind of form do we need to come to?

R. In our generation we need to reach the end of correction.

S. In which form, how does it change?

R. The end of correction has a clear form, the end of correction.

68. S. (02:03:35) You said that entering spirituality, we need to give up our free time; is a person alone against this war, against his free time, can you get help with that?

R.  I don't understand, I usually don't understand what he's saying but this is an example, what is he trying to say, did someone understand?

S. He's saying that he heard that a person needs to give up all his free time for himself in order to entire spirituality, he's asking whether this concession is something that he can do alone or can he get some help with that?

R. He can as long as he goes toward it.

69. S. (02:05:18) I also have a question about acting about the fact that we need to act that we’re in spirituality. It’s felt that there are friends, man and women, I don't know if it's a characteristic or their properties, their attributes, I don't know if it's related to the path. But the acting itself, they're enacting that they’re in spirituality really invokes in them great rejection, even nerves are being stressed from it. Are these stages along the way or is it best to talk bottom line about the state we are in, or is it best to act as if we are already in spirituality?

R. Act as if you are already in spiritually, the whole point of acting is that you are acting something that you are not in yet but you want to be in it. It is like a doll and you start playing with the doll, giving it something to eat as if with the spoon, it is all a game, acting. This is how we need to act between us, as if we are connected and we are approaching the end of Correction, and to the extent that we act it, we are drawing the influence of or summoning the influence of the reforming light which already then corrects us.

S. How to evoke, how to act without working repulsion in friends, especially those in whom it evokes rejection and they even said, they shared that it causes them repulsion?

R. Look, not long ago you were a girl and you were playing with your friends in all kinds of games, so try to play this way in the group, it's not a problem, it's not a problem; you are only playing in a group and you are in connection between you.

S. But how do I help my friend? I feel like it's causing her to be repulsed, so how do I act as if we are already in spirituality if this evokes rejection in her?

R. Why rejection, you are constantly lying. Forgive me, yes, but you constantly lie to everyone that you are much more beautiful than you are.

S. I didn't understand the connection.

R. You didn't understand, very well.

S. I'll give you any example: we are in a workshop and we are acting that we’re already in spiritually, we’re demanding it, we’re talking about it, and one friend says that it evokes rejection in her, that she prefects to talk about the current state, the real state and it truly evokes in her this rejection, the way we’re discussing it. So how can we help her, what kind of acting do I do to her to not evoke that rejection in her?

R. Talk among yourselves, talk about among yourselves, that's basically my advice, and then tell me what you agreed on, what you decided.

70. S. (02:09:03) How come we constantly go towards the image of the Creator in advancing Lishma?

R. How is it possible, with the support of the friends, with the support of the friends, I don't understand you. Let's say I have to get out of bed everyday, like you, and go down to this hall and see you everyday, these faces, and tell you all kinds of things, and I have to worry about you understanding these things and that you will understand and get answers, and by this you will not lose your appetite so we’re going to have a meal, we’re going down to eat. I’m not hearing any kind of sudden awakening, not even to this, so I have to do this, so I do it, what can I do?

71. S. (02:11:04) We learned that we must complete the vessel of Lo Lishma to build a Kli and the question is: the Creator bestows upon us the reforming light by beating on our desire to receive and at certain stages of the development of light, there’s a testament that people start suffering with health issues and other kind of problems beyond the burdening of our hearts that constantly exist to begin with. And my question is how to bring contentment to the Creator with those vessels that we’re working in Lo Lishma? Because we’re concerned, the ten, the individuals, are all disturbed by individual issues that the Creator is bestowing upon us as He beats the will to receive so we won't work in Lishma because there we only enjoy.

Meaning on one hand, He gives us the disturbances and to engage with our will to receive to discern, our attitude towards Him and the extent that we can justify Him in order to go through this transition to the shell of the heart and to move to the next, more advanced state. That's the question: how do we deal with these things and mostly the friends because the great pain is to look at the friends and see that I cannot help them?

R. You can help them by example, help them by example, you are unaware of how much it saves them, yes, this is what we are missing. If we got examples from the friends, each and everyone who comes to us, we would all be coming to the lessons, we would all be connecting, we would only be doing good to one another. Simple, you easily achieve correction and only correction is what is ahead of us, we have been to all of the stages already in the past, in history.

S. How to bring forth this state, I don’t know how to go through these states of Lishma.

R. There are no difficult stages here but only to force ourselves to help one another, to obligate ourselves to help one another, only this, lend a hand to a friend and you are going through the final barrier.

S. Thank you, you give us a great shoulder and a great attitude. The fact that you changed your glasses, it illuminates the lesson for us.

R. With family, oh my glasses, these glasses, I did them maybe 15 years ago, it’s just that they’re suitable for the changes in vision that I'm going through now.

S. It’s very important for us for you to feel well, you are a leaping point, you are an important point.

R. You should all learn from him, do you hear?

72. S. (02:15:06) You said earlier that we need to be more aimed toward the Creator, that’s the main thing and He will correct everything.

R. Of course the Creator corrects, is there a question about that?

S. How can we be assured that we really want to bring contentment to the Creator and we’re not deluding ourselves?

R. I can believe in nurturing any idea if I am among people who appreciate it. That's the matter of what is it called in Hebrew, dissemination, not propaganda? There are other such words, right? So there's no problem, I may not know or anything, I have nothing but I come among people who pray to some Buddha or something, that's it. Were you in India, what Israeli didn’t go to India?

S. I have friends that were in India.

R. Friends are a different story, we were there, we visited a Guru, he was a Jew, really, a Jewish Guru. So what am I trying to say, billions of people, millions of people pray, believe, the power of the influence of a society, Rabash also writes about it, about the influence of a society on a person, this is what we’re lacking. Now I’m going home and I forget what happened until the next time, and that's not good, I have to constantly be concerned: what about my students, how do I talk to them, how do I tell them something so they don't forget, so they are more concerned? It’s very important, this is why those who teach have more strength to advance.

S.  What does it mean that we make Him greater and we’re not aimed only towards connection. Meaning that we are behind the scenes of this question?

R. We need to extol the Creator in our eyes and to constantly detect Him, keep Him as the center of the connection between us. It's not that I'm directed toward it and I’m yearning for Him, I am yearning for the center of the society and He is like the sun in the middle of it. I’m drawn to it with everyone together and as much as possible we are returning to that center of connection, that's it. This is the purpose of our lives, the purpose of existence, the purpose of evolution.

73. S. (02:19:19) It’s all that we're going through because together with you in the last convention in Pesach it felt like we had come to a state that it's truly the exodus from Egypt together with you. You made immense efforts to keep that connection and seeing the lessons that you did when you’re in the studio you made great efforts to keep that vessel that was created so that we didn’t disperse. Usually after such connections we have descents and each runs to his direction and now what happened is that we did manage to keep this and it was felt because now what we’re scrutinizing before you, deficiencies in a very high resolution.

And with that we see that in the world such states that we have no such calculations. The Creator, there is the press of development that is working, you can just feel how it’s operating on the world. We’re standing before you and how I simply just feel that we are in the mercy of the heavens. We have a great Kabbalist that is accompanying us and giving us this possibility to connect more and more, not through calculations, not through mortifications or things like that. Truly it’s just how to be grateful for this, to be in thanks?

R. It will come, gratitude will come, thank you. Okay guys we are more or less, we’ve already consumed the lesson. What do we have next? What is the topic of the lesson?

S. In the noon lesson we’re going to be studying excerpts on the topic of ‘The Earth Is Filled with His Glory’ and also a possibility of studying the article of Baal HaSulam, One Commandment, the whole first part where he talks about Lo Lishma and Lishma.

R. Excellent. Okay, what happens next? You want to sing, right?
