On the path of spiritual development, humanity passes through three states: the descent from the World of Infinity to our world, existence in our world, and the ascent from our world back to a state of perfection, which we must attain consciously. The end of the twentieth century marked the beginning of the third stage - the spiritual awakening of humanity. We begin to realize that we feel bad, confined within the framework of habitual existence, because the “night of the bride”, the period of darkness and concealment, is coming to an end, and dawn is beginning: the awareness that there is something higher than a worthless, empty existence. The bride is all of creation, which must be corrected, ascend, become worthy of her bridegroom - the Creator, and unite with Him. The friends of the bride are those people who strive to correct our egoistic essence through work on themselves and through helping others, in order to raise creation to the quality of bestowal and love. The study of Kabbalah sharpens our sensations: we feel that we are exiled from the spiritual world, that we are below it, and we long to rise to it. Therefore, the night, the exile, is a necessary stage, in the course of which we begin to understand the meaning of all the states we have passed through. They enable us to prepare our common desire, the empty Kli, to receive all the energy, information, the power of love, and perfection that exist in creation. Such a state is called adhesion with the Creator, or the wedding adhesion.
