Finding the Good in the Friend - Selected Excerpts from the Sources, #4

1. Rav’s Introduction: We learn that outside of man, there is only the Creator. A person feels himself as though he is disconnected from the Creator, opposite to the Creator, and this is on purpose so he would correct himself, his nature, so that he would acquire new qualities, new vessels, new emotions and this way he will be able to feel what truly exists outside of him and not inside of him. We actually feel ourselves and whatever is happening inside of us. It seems to us that this is the external world and outside of us, this world, but that is incorrect. We only feel ourselves.

The Zohar describes this to us that our eyes are turned inwards and we are truly looking into ourselves. This is what we feel. Therefore, all of our work in the preparation to discover the true world is in how we make this inversion in our outlook, in our perspective, so that we truly see what is outside of us. Outside of us we can see it only if we will invert our will to receive to a will to bestow. It is not by us doing some special focus or maybe use some special device or some glasses, some spectacles, it is not going to help. Only if we will invert the will to receive to a will to bestow, that instead of seeing ourselves and what is happening outside of us, we will see what is outside of us, and that is the Creator. In order to perform this change in our sight, instead of introvertly, we see extrovertly. We can do it only by engaging in love of friends, this is why it was given to us so that instead of self-love we can always exert, make the effort to play, that I respect the friend, that I love him, that I value him, that I am concerned for him. As I would have done it for myself, now I try to pass it on, to shift it, to the friend. Out of that it turns out for me that I am changing my perspective, I am causing an inversion so instead of looking inside I am looking outside. This is how we reach the opening up of the eyes, as it is called. This is what we have ahead of us, therefore, this topic of finding the good in the friend is so important for us. It depends to what extent we will invert it, as it is called, so instead of this world we will see the upper world, instead of ourselves, we see what is outside of us, which is the Creator. For the time being instead of the Creator, we have the friends. The Creator created deliberately the vessel of Adam HaRishon He broke it and He therefore gave as an opportunity to invert our vision from internal vision when we think about ourselves and value ourselves and we elevate ourselves and so on to the opposite that I need to do everything in order to bestow, as it is called. It is only called in order to bestow, that is to invert my outlook, my sight, my perspective from internal to external. The Zohar truly describes it in many places in a beautiful way to what extent our eyes are looking inward and not outward. We can find such places. Let us truly relate to it, not superficially to “love the friend”, to “respect others”, to “be courageous to the grandmother”, and things like that. Let’s understand to what extent. This is truly our main work. If we will start to appreciate, to value what is outside of us more than what is happening within us, inside of us, by that we will invert our sight from feeling and seeing this world to feeling and seeing the upper world. In that way, we will open up our eyes to the true reality.

2. S. (05:56) How do you measure love of friends?

R. To the extent that self-love diminishes and the importance of the friends increases.

S. If my focus is on the friends, is it already a sign?

R. That, too, but besides this it is always a struggle. Clearly, until the end of correction, we are constantly in a struggle. We forget, we get back to it. It is truly through many discernments we can measure ourselves. We will see it soon in the excerpts and we will reach all kinds of discernments. Why did I speak about it for a few minutes now? Because this topic may seem to us as though “I'll find some good in the friends”, the kindergarten teacher told us the same in the kindergarten, but for us this takes on a different importance. So let us advance.

3. R. (08:33) Yes, because according to the truth we exist in the world of Ein Sof, at the end of Correction and besides man, there is nothing that is corrupted, broken. This is the truth. 4. S. (09:20) Why do I need to see only the good in the friends?

R. In that way you aim yourself to the Creator because for sure whatever bad you see, you are seeing out of your own vessels. We are talking about the friends. We are not talking about the whole world. There we still have to prepare ourselves and see that there is no bad in general in the whole of reality, as it says, but that is already the correction of the vessel. We need to rise to such a degree where you will see that whatever bad you saw before, with all of the horrors, all of these things, it is all what happened to you in your system of the Klipot, the shells, but for the time being let's not talk about that. For the time being it is about the fact that whatever I see as bad in the friends, I’m seeing a copy, a projection of myself.

5. S (10:35) Earlier you said that we see the world with our eyes turned inward, and all of reality does not happen outside of me but inside of me. This is the hardest thing to grasp. Why was this created this way and what is the new world that we will see outside of us?

R. I can't get into this explanation right now, it is good that you have such questions and that you very much want to discover it and it is good that you will suffer and then you will discover it a bit later. Think about it, read about it a little bit in the books, and you will see a lot is written about it, about the perception of reality. We are seeing inside of our ego, this is considered that we are seeing ourselves. You agree that you are an egoist, a hundred percent, right? You are seeing everything only inside of your ego. This is considered that you are looking into yourself. How can you see the world? You can see the world if you will change your will to receive into a will to bestow. Then besides that, you only see the Creator, you won’t see anything else besides the Creator. All the created beings, everyone will be in the backdrop of the Creator. He is managing them, He is changing them, and they are behaving and being operated only through Him. Whatever you see in such a way you will call it the holy Shechina, this is how the Creator is revealed towards you. He is constantly talking to you in such a way and in the meantime what you see is yourself. Let's hope that it will change.

6. S. (12:50) I want to continue the previous question. Earlier I heard you say that will see the friends first and then see the Creator. When will we see the Creator? What will we feel when we see the Creator?

R. You will feel the Creator when there will hardly be any difference between the friend and the Creator; then you will start to see the Creator behind the friend.

7. S. (13:35) If I see wickedness behind the friends, I see myself, but if I see good in the friend is it also looking at myself?

R. Yes.

S. What is the correction then?

R. You need to envy them if you see good in them. We are talking about the friends, we are not talking about you looking at the criminals and seeing the good in them.

8. S. (14:17) You just mentioned it, and it is mentioned a lot, that we already exist in complete correction, wholeness, in Ein Sof. So why is it important for us to know this?

R. Why is it important to know that we already exist in Ein Sof in the corrected form? Because we get from there all our nourishment, all of our activation.

9. S. (14:57) I try to see the good in the friends, their positive qualities. How inside of that we see the Holy Shechina?

R. If a person sees the friends that they are all better than himself, then you are already beginning to feel the Holy Shechina, the presence of the Creator who, in such a way, appears to you. He appears to you, right? He presents Himself to you and if you will continue in that, more and more, then out of the relations between you and the friends, that you come closer to them, and always constantly feel them more and more to what extent they are good, then you are changing in relation to them and through that you will begin to feel how the Creator is talking to you. This is the Creator’s language. You don't hear it in your ears, you don't see it with your eyes, you don't have this feeling with your tactile senses. You feel this in your changes towards the friends, towards divinity. Divinity is the loudspeaker, the device, where the Creator is talking to you. In your attitude towards the friends, that you constantly try to be in maximum Dvekut, adhesion, with them, by this you are balancing yourself with the Shechina all together with the friends. By this you begin to truly hear and see the Creator’s attitude to you in all of your senses, not just seeing or hearing. Soon, soon, it will become more clear. I want you to begin to be a bit more sensitive to this topic to see the good in the friend, because this is the most important means for us even though it is also the furthest one seemingly from our emotions.

10. S. (17:53) When we see bad in the friend, do we need to shut our eyes and look for the good or to come to a state where we love the bad as the good?

R. We need to reach a state when there is no bad, only good. This is a sign that we are coming closer to love because in somebody we love, we do not feel any bad. “Love covers all crimes.”

11. S. (18:30) When you see the deficiencies in friends and go above reason, connect and do actions, still those deficiencies exist in you. How do you see them as new and correct them so they don't come back?

R. You try to get closer to the friends, you are ashamed, out of your own flaws, you feel envious to the extent they are connected between them and how much they are yearning to come close to the Creator. Through envy, lust, and honor, through all these qualities, you come closer to the friends and you are more and more incorporated with them. It doesn’t necessarily need to be in a tangible physical manner. This is why, as you can see through the pandemic, what is happening to us, that we are now separated from each other in terms of distance. However, in this way, we should nevertheless try to get closer to each other emotionally as “one man in one heart”.

12. S (20:08) How to become more sensitive to be friends?

R. It is difficult, it takes time, sometimes years, many years because this is our connector, what links us between us and the Creator, between each of us and the Creator. Therefore, to be sensitive to the society it is only according to the importance that you assign to them as connectors. This is why here we need to hear from one another and to be envious because envy, lust, and honor help a lot here. to read and to talk about it and to try to see how much we hate it and how much we have no choice. We have to rise above it because otherwise we will never come out of this world to the other world. We will remain inside our beast. To be Adam, human, above the beast, it is only by us replacing the will to receive with the will to bestow. We have no choice. The only means, where we truly have a measurement, and work, mutual work, is the environment, it is the society, as much as we don’t want it, however we have nowhere to run away from it. I’m telling you from my own experience, from my long and bitter experience. I saw Rabash, when he was next to me and he was making fun of me, how much I want it and I don’t, and this and that. There is nothing you can do about it. Only from his side it was to wait and from my side to erupt and perform all kinds of actions and also whatever the mind and the brain doesn’t do, time does. We have no choice, we have to be in this work until the end of life and beyond it. This is how it is.

13. S. (22:52) The correction of a quality, does it allow me to judge a friend on a scale of merit, to love him?

R. Rising above my ego in practice, this is what brings me the love of others, this is it. There is nothing in the middle here. Either I love or I hate so how to turn my ego from in order to receive to in order to bestow.

S. What exactly is corruption that is revealed in a work with it? What does it mean?

R. That you are criticizing your friends, this is called a corruption, however you need to realize that this is a corruption that has to be on the path. By this they are revealing you broken vessels and you need to see them the way that you truly are, not to run away from it. How much you hate them, you can't stand them, how much you can understand them, how much you are criticizing them, this one is wrong in one of them and this in the other, and all in all, etc.

You should check it, even write down all of your questions and pour out all of the bad in you, all of your poison, pour it out on paper or onto the computer wherever you like to write but do it in a direct way, in an honest way and keep it. Nevertheless, these are true discernments, bad one or good ones. It doesn't matter. Later on, you will start to see how it changes and then different kinds come, different discernments come and you already see things differently. This is a study that takes many years because our will to receive is truly great and deep like the vessel for the light of Ein Sof so we have no choice but only to wait to suffer, to pray and to aim and most importantly until we reach this together. Imagine to yourself as you are getting there, the others also have to get there to the same degree of bitterness and feeling the necessity. The bitterness in his egoistic desire and the necessity, the urgency to invert it and the feeling of the weakness that we cannot change anything in ourselves not even a little bit and then we have to strengthen each other all of us together and cry out to the Creator and then it will happen.

14. S. (26:05) How can I pray from all my heart for my friends?

R. If you feel that a friend is a part of you than he is an inseparable part of your soul and the he is the most important part of your soul and without him you cannot connect with the Creator to your eternal and spiritual life of years then you begin to see in him that friend greater importance than in the Creator it is greater because He is standing on the way and then you must feel in this way how much you depend on him and to what extent you depend on him and how much it is necessary for you to come closer to one another. You have to assemble yourselves into a single vessel and then it will be revealed.

15. S. (27:27) If I see corruption in the friend, when do I need to cover it with love and when do I need to correct it, to pray?

R. It is the same whenever and whatever way it works for you in actions in prayer in any way possible you have to use every means there is nothing there this is like this now or later it is different. You will see yourself how you will be able to complete the corruption into correction in any way, do it, you have to do it whichever way you are capable.

16. S. (28:10) To work with what I see with various expressions manifestations of the friend, but how to relate to the indifference in the friend?

R. You will reach a state and will see the way the friends respond. They are actually presenting to your own qualities. That there are no friends but rather, these are your qualities which you see through them. This is why whenever you see some indifference, it means that you also have it but now you see it through him. If you had it only, you wouldn’t feel it in you but now you do feel it. But if it were in you then you wouldn’t break out against it, erupt against it, but now you do erupt against it. If you see it in the friend, here the ego is helping you to realize what is happening, here. We see others, in whatever corruptions are in them. Our ego is helping us as this is called “helpmate against one” because something is standing opposite me and my ego is helping me so that I see in the friends all kinds of corruptions whereas I would never recognize them in myself.

17. S. (30:05) I love only myself. I know what self-love is. So, what does it mean to love the friend as myself?

R. When we will feel what is the soul, then you will see that you will love everything that is outside of you as you love yourself and you will have no difference between whatever is on the inside and whatever is on the outside. You will see to what extent you simply were mistaken, blind before when you were thinking this way, that what is outside of you is not you. The Creator has arranged for us such a sight so that we will recognize what we have to correct in whatever is outside of us. To the extent I correct it, I feel that these things are seemingly getting inside of me. I add them to myself. Later on, we will also learn this about the Ibur and the Yenicka and the Mochin, conception, suckling, Mochin and this is how we grow.

18. S. (32:00) Do we have to tolerate the flaw of the friend the entire ten sees, especially when he demands us to cover it with love?

R. If the entire ten sees in a certain friend some flaw that is very much disturbing them, hindering them in their connection, they can reach out to him, take care of him, and possibly this is to such an extent they have to expel him from the ten. If he is truly hindering the connection between them then there is no choice, they may even have to part with him. Yes, there are such states where there is nothing you can do. However, you do have to take care of it in any possible form, either you expel him from the ten or you help him to connect to the ten in a proper way. Do it as quickly as possible.

19. S. (33:21) Can you specify the main merits we should look for in the friends, and that with such merits we will succeed in the purpose of creation? What are these merits?

R. I don't want to get into it, this is not what it is about. If I love then I love. You can’t say ‘why do you love your child?’, you love him. That’s it. Later you can say he is wise, he is strong, he feels, he is sensitive, but all of these things it doesn’t matter. “Love covers all crimes.” We don’t need to poke into it what is it exactly, but rather, we are on the path and we help each other and each time we are coming closer to each other more and more and that’s it. To say that it is ten percent he is like this and twenty percent he is different, that is not good, it is not going to help. Don’t become too precise about it here.

20. S. (34:40) What is the quality of the soul?

R. I do not know, I don't know how to express, how to convey it. I don’t know.

S. To feel the quality of the soul is something that I discover more and more in the connection with their friends. Maybe it is something I have but I do not see it and only through the correction with the friends and in between us, this is a quality Creator gives me?

R. You didn’t understand me? I do not want to talk about it in the meantime, that’s it because we cannot explain it, we cannot express it. So, each one for the time being should cook within himself.

21. S. (35:44) I don’t see all the friends equally good. I see some are better, some are worse. When I reach the feeling of Shechina will I see them equally good?

R. No, we need to advance. We need to advance. Each one will have their own qualities, his own magnitude, amplitude, a different degree of influence over me because all in all, what we see is ten Sephirot, and they are all different, they shine in a different way. It is ten sources you see and none of them is like the other. So now we don't have to perform all of these calculations. It is a simple calculation: I want to be, in my heart, close to them so much so that in our hearts that are connected together we will feel the Creator.

According to that, the Creator promotes you. Only according to that.

24. S. (40:14) What does it mean that I can actually see many bad things in the friends but I don't care about it, I just want to be with them?

R. Where do you take that?

S. Because you say that I do not work on whether I see anything bad about him, but we just want to be together regardless of all the bad we, see?

R. Even Though we are corrupted, as it says in the Zohar about the students of Rabbi Shimon, that they wanted to kill one another and they came to the lesson, they entered the lesson, and came out with love.

S. What does it mean, this love?

R. It is hatred before the lesson and love after the lesson, and again hatred before the next lesson and after the next lesson, love. This is how it is, through ascents and descents. What were you thinking? It is like in this world that you just sigh that I'm going to love you until the end of my life, for eternity.

S. No, on the contrary, I want to see where this love is coming from. From the importance of the goal?

R. Because you are working to draw the reforming light, you are trying to be together, and as a result of your efforts to be together you reach that point where you cannot and out of lack of choice you turn to the Creator, you cry out and you ask Him to create this connection between you, and then the reforming light comes to you and you are then able to be connected. Why are you looking at me as though (lost translation)

S. No let's say I am looking at a friend and I find something bad about him but I see that he is doing this action for the sake of the ten, he wants to advance but he boils my blood.

R. What?

S. About what he's doing.

R. Why? He is doing it for the ten, so is that why you are hot? Are you jealous or are you hating him? Is this exactly what is happening? Either you know what you are talking about or you don’t.

S. Let’s say I am in such a state where it is mixed, I am boiling inside but I see it for the sake of the ten.

R. If it is for the benefit of the ten you have to understand precisely, however, I hate him. Why do I hate him? It is out of envy.

S. What do I have to do?

R. I don’t know, eat yourself, what does it matter? The discernment needs to be that now you reached this envy, ‘I’m envious of him’, ‘I cannot stand him’, ‘I cannot tolerate him’, ‘he’s more successful’, ‘he knows more’, and this and that. I discovered the primary thing, that egoistic equality that I need to correct, I found it through the friend. Now I know what the flaw is, what I have along the way. Great. Look how the friend helped me, that through him I discovered that I have inside of me that I have to correct. So, tell him, ‘Thank you very much’ and keep going. So how do I do that? Now try with the group, and possibly with that same friend if you have additional forces, to connect together and ask inside, from within your heart, that you want to be together with him and with the group so that love would cover all crimes. This way you will reach connection and all of your hatred will enter as Aviut, coarseness, into the connection and you will start to feel that you are rising and rising even more and rising. This way, through such works, you will reach a state where you will cross the barrier. I have nothing else to explain. Think about it.

25. S. (44:26) You describe extreme states that before the lesson we hate each other and after the lessons we love each other. I feel that before the lesson we are more indifferent and after the lesson indifferent, how not to enter this state when it becomes a habit and we do not feel anything but just indifference?

R. Look at me, do you see me indifferent or not?

S. No.

R. I get it because I prepare myself. I prepare myself all through the day from one morning lesson to the next morning lesson. This is my life and it does not matter if I have a job somewhere or I have to do this and that. I also do other things during the day. Look at my daily schedule and you can see but it does not matter, I am thinking about the morning lesson. Why, because this is the place where I am making a leap forward each time I climb like on a ladder and from that we can receive the strength I acquired the strength from this as if climbing from one rung to the other this is how I relate to this everyday day in day out and this is why I prepare myself for the morning lesson and I am thinking by what can I climb in other degree, how shall I exert, what I need to attain, everything. I prepare for the morning lesson, for this assembly where the forces of all the friends are present and we have a great power we do not even know how much we have, and from that we can receive the strength. I acquired the strength from this truly, I saw it on my teacher, how he valued it, this is what it means that I learn more from my students.

26. S. (47:03) Does the hatred rise towards the friends all the time?

R. It rises and falls each time in different ways each time toward different friends and suddenly those friends I was not feeling anything to or even felt friendly to, suddenly I start to suffer from them, I cannot understand them. This is how it happens, there is nothing to do but it is not important for me as I get all this from above from the Creator, all these qualities in the 10 the structure of the soul, the 10 Sefirot. What needs to awaken so it's me it comes it works others it might be different qualities so on and so forth until we become more and more into a spherical shape not that we begin to resemble one and other but we start to fit one another other are different although we are different.

27. S. (48:40) There is something great we have to do above reason for the question, who is the friend it is worthwhile to do work for, who should I consider a friend to do this work with hatred and to whom should I not relate to as a friend, who should I not consider a friend?

R. You need to choose the 10 you have to enter that, then just as Baal HaSulam writes in The Arvut article that the Creator places the hand of the person on the good fortune and says take it. As you take it so you'll have to connect to those people and that you have to accept them, not as people who are the faces you see or how smart or stupid, they are, what qualities or characters they have how calm or nervous they are, no. You look at them as part of your soul and then you start to work with them until you find the internal connection that exists between the Sephirot inside the spiritual Partzuf.

29. S. (50:18) I do not see mistakes in the friends at all, I see them, to the opposite I see how devoted they are and this shows me how ugly I am and how much I need correction?

R. This is also good, so you feel jealous about them and correspondingly you need to correct yourself so keep going. So accordingly, you have to correct yourself and keep going. There will be other times as well. It is possible that out of jealousy, you get such a fit of anger that you want to kill them, you cannot stand them, that are all forms of the nearing and separation.

30. S. (51:14) There is rejection and I try to connect to him and ask the Creator to correct it and later I start to love him and then it goes back to the same friend. Does it mean I correct something?

R. Yes and you will have more discernments, examinations about each and every friend in the 10 and seemingly it comes back to the same people of course keep going until you discover that you truly are examining your innermost discernments inside you.

31. R. (53:45) The posterior means that the Creator works on each and every one of us because we are not worthy of seeing how he works on us directly. So, he made such a display, a system through which we can connect to Him and when I accept this system like the Creator, when I relate to it the same way, then I start to see him behind the system in place of all mankind, all the friends and so on, it is not like the Creator is concealed behind each and every friend but I discover Him, reveal Him in the place of the friends.

32. R. (55:27) Pay attention to this. These are the fundamentals of the revelation of the upper world specifically by keeping those things we come closer to and find and reveal the upper world and the Creator. I hope that you understand because I do not see in the questions and in all seriousness, I do not feel it from you yet.

33. S. (56:01) Then I see a mistake in others. These are my mistakes so how can I correct them? What does it mean to correct myself?

R. You need to correct yourself to such an extent you start to love that friend you saw the mistake in before therefore this is the meaning of correcting your own flaws, mistakes.

34. S. (56:47) This means that the mistakes of the friends are the posterior of the Creator?

R. It does not mean that, why do I need all these clever ideas that the faces of the friends are the posterior of the Creator what does it give you? Behind each friend stands the Creator, meaning The Creator manages each and every person, all of reality around me, and I need to relate to all reality, to each and every person this way, this is how the Creator relates to me.

S. And I will always perceive it above reason or also within reason?

R. I want to reveal it within reason, the fact that at the moment I treat it as above reason is because my vessels are uncorrected.

35. S. (57:57) Is the person, the created being, is he just a puppet on the strings of the Creator?

R. Yes. In everything but one, that the Creator gives him free movement, free choice in something, in one thing. Then he waits for the person to react correctly and each time more and more until this puppet begins to function on its own, it will never be on its own but it will begin to function based upon its own desire, this is called “make your desire as his”. He will never do something that goes against the Creator, never, but everything depends upon their desire whether you want to do it or not. If you don't want to do it you will feel bad, if you want to you will feel good. This is where our free choice is and more.

36. S. (59:34) When Rabash writes here and in other places that a person should believe what does this mean?

R. Very simply, he needs to know that this is how it is, to believe means that I listen, I know but I can't see it as it is not in me, it is not in me. This is the meaning of believing. It is not like how it is with religious or secular people; it is that I know there is such and such a law but that this law does not exist in me yet.

S. Is this like faith above reason?

R. No, this is why I don't want you to get confused about it, so I won't speak about it in this way.

37. S. (01:00:42) We heard the Creator compels a person to do good deeds. What are these good?

R. Only connection, nothing else. But in a word, we have nothing except that we need for this.

S. Does he also compel the created being to do bad deeds?

S. Seemingly, the situation is to created being this being in a classroom and the Creator is teaching him, and the created being is just to respond by prayer and certain discernment?

R. Correct that is exactly how it is.

38. S. (01:01:38) I don't feel the Creator is acting behind the people, that I hate some person and I can't stand him. How do I convince myself and know the Creator is standing behind him?

R. You have to convince yourself, to constantly think that there is none else besides Him and that you are standing in this imaginary reality that is governed by the upper force, and through this reality that appears to you, there's an upper force that wants to arrange you, correct you until you truly reach His level.

S. It's very hard to love the friend, a person as there is a feeling of distancing?

R. Think about it more and more. I think about it first from the suffering, coercion, through love, through blows, we know how it is as the more you think about it the more you will understand there is a lot to love and to suffer from.

39. S. (01:03:21) At the end of what Rabash writes, it follows that the Creator does everything but the person follows what he sees and not what he should believe, so our nature always leads us to see what is in our eyes and not what we should believe so what exercise can we practice all the time so we will be able to have, opposite our eyes, always this direction.

R. You have a group, what other exercises do you need to do? Rabash writes about these exercises that you need to do in the group, that is what you need and not any more than that.

40. S. (01:04:47) How can we love our friends more than ourselves?

R. You start to work in order to bestow and I guarantee that slowly in everyone, not only you, will come to what we call soul devotion when the other will be more important to you than yourself and this stems from the laws of nature. That the upper light will gradually clothe in you for you to feel this way. It is not our nature, it is not in our world and it is not now but gradually we will come closer to beginning, to feel that this is happening. How can you explain to me that there are many people who are willing to die in order to keep a certain ideal alive, specifically in China or Japan, there are big institutions throughout history that would behave in this way. That are willing to kill themselves to put themselves to death for an idea, a certain goal. So what? Meaning there are things that are above self-love. There are more ideals and values we will have to acquire. As self-love is not that great, we feel on occasion to be happy to give it up and to simply leave this whole business of self-love, how much it blocks us, and limits us. We ourselves, hate ourselves because of our limitations that we can be such small egoists at times.

41. S. (01:09:20) What makes a person worthy? What determines if he is worthy?

R. Worthy of what?

S. Worthy of seeing that it is the Creator acting in such a way.

R. By looking for it, he is trying, he is seemingly assembling the image of the Creator out of all of his attitudes towards the friends. That I seemingly build this mosaic out of all of the friends until I begin to relate to them in such a way. Of course, I don't relate to their outer form, not their inner qualities, according to their character, but to their essence, their internality. This means the internality of the heart of the friends. This is what I wish to be adhered to them, as much as I want to enter, to penetrate the heart of each and every friend, in that I begin to feel that through that I am starting to feel the Creator. In this way we come to the revelation of the Creator. Try and see that this is possible as a result of the practical work that you are doing, relate to the 10 and through the 10 as the sum total of the desires of the friends, through that into their intentions and their hearts. What is in each friend's heart since in each friend's heart is his inner desires because the other side of it is the Creator as He arranges each and every friend’s desire against me, and I relate to Him from the other side, from my side. So, it turns out from the friends' hearts is where we meet, me and the Creator and this is called inside the Partzuf.

42. S. (01:11:58) It says the Creator dresses Himself in the clothing of flesh-and-blood, what does this mean?

R. The Creator dresses Himself in the qualities of the friends. They are an instrument through which I begin to identify, to detect the Creator's attitude towards me.

43. S. (01:13:25) When you try to apply the excerpts to the practical work in the 10. How do we work with creating the vision of a complete 10 when only a couple of the friends show up?

R. I have no idea, there is a problem here, it is that atmosphere that exists in America as if everything is going to work itself out. This is why it is hard to move people into other places. We work out of a deficiency, a desire which is the substance and matter of creation, so if we fill it with various fulfillments, it doesn't want to budge this desire and the person does not want to budge. That is why we find ourselves in such a slumber. I don't know what to say, I hear your complaints and I hear those complaints from many places in the US, also in Canada but there, it is a little less. In America it is such a time frame that the Americans are in now. I have nothing to say, as each should help his friend. You have to awaken each other otherwise much greater blows will come as we already understand it is possible that they will. Then why do we need it? How to awaken through importance, through speaking about and showing an example to one another, to try and take each one from his place as it is hard for a person to get up and sit by a computer. We don't even need to drive to meetings, to the lesson, and that has been taken away as well. So, what is so difficult? When 2 come in the place of 10 or 12, I don't know what to recommend to you.

S. Can the world Kli help to defeat this atmosphere in America?

R. Maybe, I don't know, we need to advance towards it, we need to try and make this Congress coming in September a general World Congress and anyone who can come, maybe make this a physical gathering that maybe, by then, we will be able to meet. We will see as we get closer to that, I don't know how to awaken that and for everyone to help one.

S. That way we'll try and each and every ten or as one world Kli to help them get forward from that?

R. You see how many of the Americans are on the screen.

S. We can constantly work to put them up on the screen.

R. Yes, they are there behind the scenes but they never asked and that's a problem, let's hope that will change.

44. S. (01:18:52) How can we feel the unique quality of each friend in the 10 and how can I provide this quality so it will become even more conspicuous?

R. We have nothing to add here as it is like in ten Sefirot you can't take one out or add one. This is how we are built, in the end we are all important to complete and complement the other and over the time we will see the uniqueness in each one, the special role of each one, the qualities of each one in this assembly that we have between us and this will all be clarified over time, but for now we need to work on the connection. The quantity is not because 7, 8, 12, or 13 it doesn't matter, the quantity is not important as the thing that is important is how through the connection, we give each one an opportunity to wear himself out and enter between the others.

45. S. (01:20:30) What is the difference in the inner work of the 10 versus working opposite a single friend

R. There is a difference but it is not that important. I can work with one friend and that is how Rabash was to me, I didn't have a group exactly because Rabash would tell me that it is enough to have each other, of course it's different with you inside the group as the group is much more beneficial, it doesn't matter, just try that each and every one has an opportunity to be among many friends and not just with one another as we're not limited by space-time or method so try to be connected in the group that is close to 10.

S. When we work opposite a collective it is easier for us to focus the feeling on some revelation but when we work in life opposite of a single individual, we sometimes lose this feeling?

R. I'm not certain what you're talking about. We have to constantly try to work in the 10 and not to take out of the group two or three friends. I don't understand what you're saying but it's not good to do it this way, your ego is pushing you this way.

S. How do I use the force of the collective to constantly feel that there is the Creator and the Creator is behind the friends?

R. I don't understand what you're asking, try to think and then ask.

46. S. (01:22:45) I need to share with the friends my discernment of love and hatred or just within myself?

R. You need to work on love, connection, you need to bestow a good example to them about the connection and the main thing is they study, to learn together and be impressed by what is written.

47. S. (01:23:25) In the excerpt it says the Creator does everything, if it's up to the friend it is clear but what is this action where I constantly give the Creator control over everything that happens inside of me?

R. This means that everything you feel, everything you get from the friends you return it to the creator, meaning that you try to hold within you the connection of the Creator who is the source of everything that you get.

S. We fall from that all the time.

R. Even though you keep coming out of it, you have to keep going back into it, of course you disconnect from it as your ego pulls you into yourself and you have to bring everything back to none else besides Him.

48. S. (01:24:29) The hatred towards my ego, can I ask of the Creator that he will give us this quality and how should I correctly ask for it for myself and for the friends?

R. We need to ask for the connection and not for the hate because this will be more helpful. Don't worry about the hate and scrutinizing the flaws as this will lower you and you will begin to torment yourself and to eat yourself, this is not good. Talk about love and coming out of the ego, spiritual upliftment, speak about this.

49. S. (01:25:26) Behind every person stands the Creator and behind the friends stands the Creator. Is there a difference that through the friends I can contact him?

R. By connecting to the friends we come to the connection to the Creator.

50. S. (01:25:53) A few minutes ago you said regarding the possibility for physical meetings in the upcoming Congress. I wanted to ask in our group with Romania and Bulgaria we would like to unite in the mirror Congress in Bulgaria so what do you think about this? We would fly over there and they will arrange things for us?

R. Just make certain to follow all of the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and it might be good, I don't know. If you are speaking the same language and you feel one another, that you know one another then it is possible that the physical connection might be beneficial, could be beneficial. Here in our big center in Israel we are also thinking constantly when we can have a big Congress and have friends from all over the world so that we will gather as we used to. There is a problem, for the time being the Creator does not allow it to be assembled in all the places even for one big meal where all the friends from all over the country could come to visit, about fifteen hundred or two thousand men only, we can't do this although we have the space and we have the desire, but it is not allowed to do it.

S. In terms of medical authorization we have the possibility as it's considered a green country. Do we have your blessing for such an action that we are working on right now?

R. Yes, go ahead. I would love to fly and to participate in such activities if you can do it according to all of the medical guidelines then do it.

51. S. (01:28:44) I would like to go back to the topic of the excerpts, you helped us to understand that indifference is the hardest form of hatred. How can we help each other to be corrected so that we can reach the Creator together?

R. By setting an example without using too many words, just the example that each one gives the other to such an extent that the other is impressed by it and this works the best, without any words, only the example. Do it like that because an example evokes envy and envy is the strongest force, it is the direct hit from the ego.

52. S. (01:30:02) Going back to what you said about North America, is it possible that what is being felt from America is a lack of integration in the heart and if so, how do we get there?

R. In America there are many problems so it is natural that the connection there is more difficult because the atmosphere is very far from connection, it rejects all of the forms of connection and understands only the egoistic connection which is clearly for the benefit of the ego right on the spot. So, it is hard to find the friends who will connect and I am not certain how to help there. It is a very bad atmosphere. We will see in time what will happen there. I am highly pessimistic with regards to North America.

53. S. (01:31:51) You said when we work with the good qualities of the friends that we are incorporated in their desires and their intentions can you elaborate how to work on it?

R. You have to enter theoretically and I don’t want to go this way rather to attain and come to it practically. I am going to draw you pictures, schematics of how it connects, it is not going to help you, you need to demand it. From your actions we will know you, there is a law, from your actions we shall know you.

54. S. (01:33:10) We are lacking a seriousness to words the excerpt as we are trying to implement the advice everyday, maybe we are lacking more in the work. How do we increase the internality more?

R. I don't know. I've been in the wisdom of Kabbalah for 45 years and I remember the wisdom, look down on connection and love friends, coming closer to the friends, remembering them and how to increase the connection more internally. How much can you work on the external connection as you're just shaking up the friends and nothing comes out of it in the same movement as you do on the street. Only on the condition that we will awaken these things daily in each and every one, that we will have these special exercises, go ahead and do this and send your inventions of how we can bring about the connection and from it be able to check and see if we are close to the formation of the Soul or if we are still far from it. How can we measure ourselves if we are taking a step forward and we are about to discover Divinity and the Creator or maybe not, maybe we are going around in circles and we don't want to get closer to it as our ego is way to it. So let us start to care about it seriously because it is here but we're not attached to it, we constantly veer off to the side as if each one is making room for the other or go ahead I'm going to sit this one out for the time being. This is a problem.

55. S. (01:36:08) Would it help in North America if we begin to work, to unite with all of the 10's as preparation for the lesson instead of meeting in single 10's. Can we meet as one 10 or can our 10 here in LA meet with 10's around the world and spread the connection as a practical step to prepare for the lesson?

R. I don't know, it's also not the issue whether I'm feeling it the issue is whether you're beginning to connect and feel the Creator through the connection, so let's try to as it is the work of the heart. How can we cause the heart to get excited, it could be an external activity but mostly let us wish, let us want in our desire and our prayers to want to influence the friend's heart that they will awaken that they will be more sensitive, that our thoughts are the strongest force in reality, the thought, but we don't activate it in this direction to connect all the thoughts into one thought and to bring that to the Creator, that the Creator will certainly then do what we are asking for. This is the problem, to add an issue of making another meeting. If that were the problem, I would have to go on a tour in America which I have done many times before, but I wouldn't spare doing that. But it is not an issue of traveling around from one country to another, rather the problem is how to awaken the heart. This is the main thing here. I don't know what to do and you have to be concerned about it. What else do you need to happen? I know they're coronavirus, a different virus, something else, what needs to happen is that you begin to feel that we are in a terminal state and that only the Creator can help? Talk about this.

56. S. (01:39:55) I don't know if it's a question or a request but the friends who live in America is also the Creator revealing himself in some way towards Bnei Baruch and now there is a big force in Bnei Baruch, can we just take this and pray each day for a different continent to ask the Creator to include America?

R. Of course you can go ahead and do that, and I am joining you. Please bring together all the Americans first and then around the whole world and we will all support it. So, one time we pray for America and we pray for South America, Europe, China, Middle East, Africa, no problem. We just need to organize ourselves and it is not so important. What is important is to feel that we can connect together into a single soul that is a single desire and that desire will be in the form of in order to bestow, in all of its internal desires and this is how we get closer to the Creator.
