(The Condition of Life in the Last Generation)

Reading Article. (00:22) “The condition of life in the Last Generation.” 

1. S. (07:43) The last thing he said here was that, “a person would give everything for his life”, it seems that that’s obvious. The water flows, the fire burns here, too. So what does he mean here?

R. Nothing is more precious than life and if we knew what was more precious than life we would go for it.

S. I got that part, that there’s nothing more precious than life but it seems everyone knows that, what does he mean behind that, why did he write it here?

R. So we would understand there’s something more precious than life, that’s the higher life.

S. The essence is that the higher life has more value than our life?

R. Yes.

2. S. (08:48) He says that “as long as the laws of society don’t satisfy every individual in the country and they lead a part of people that aren’t satisfied with the leadership, so they try to overthrow that government”. So that’s natural, I personally, we tried to make everyone happy but that doesn’t exist, there is no such thing, so what is he trying to say here?

R. He wants to tell you that you want everyone to be happy with the same values as yours but this will certainly never happen.

S. What do you mean values like mine?

R. That everyone will accept your perspective on life.

S. He wanted it to be equal for everybody, that everybody could get the same thing and there won’t be any poor or rich people but that everybody would be equal. By the words of Baal HaSulam talked about it, that’s the Communist way, the Kibbutzim started that way?

R. Okay.

3. S. (10:00) How do you start making this change?

R. From dissemination.

S. We see that in order to grasp these ideas, we need daily in tens, to care, a few hours a day, so the question is: What is the method for the collective?

R. The method for the general public is that we teach the general public what it means to live well. In connection between us and from between us to the Creator, and there we are in connection with Him and between us together and there we see, and feel, and find the purpose of life, meaning the essence of life.

S. From experience we see that people who are eventually drawn to us are people who are drawn to the higher degree that is similar to our purpose of revealing the Creator. So when we speak about peace in the world, for the general public, what can we give them?

R. The same, the same thing.

S. But they don’t need it?

R. You also didn’t need it until you received more and more explanations and they worked in you and in the end they convinced you.

S. Why, I came with a deficiency for a Creator that I imagined for myself, no matter how but eventually I had a deficiency; and all our students come from some kind of deficiency for something beyond this life. And when we speak about the collective, that they only want this life, so what process can we take them through to reach a conclusion that you have to go from one side of the coin to the other side of the coin?

R. I don’t know about the two sides of the coin, I know that person wants to know what is the root of his life, why he is alive, why there is life, and this is really the main thing for him. If he doesn’t have that, he can easily picture himself as dead right now.

S. So we have something to offer for people whose deficiency is already scrutinized in them?

R. No, not that it’s really scrutinized but they have an inclination toward it.

S. If they don’t, most of the world doesn’t have a tendency for this?

R. Then they are all like a beast, as it is written.

S. So that’s my question?

R. You can’t explain anything to them, only because around them, there were people who did discover the essence of creation, the purpose of creation, so then everyone will be able to reach it.

4. S. (13:22) The order of life in the last generation, what are those orders of that life?

R. For each one to see that the other one will reveal for himself the essence of life, the purpose of life which means in this we have to provide to everyone.

S. (14:44) In our state of war, what’s our duty, of Bnei Baruch, towards inward and outward?

R. We have to advertise Baal HaSulam and Rabash’s method, we have to open up that method to the whole world and teach everyone and see in this, the purpose of life.

S. What proportion to take everything?

R. Inwards, by giving this information to the general public by this we go into ourselves and fill up our inner vessels.

5. S. (15:12) It is amazing how in Israel with the war, Baal HaSulam articles become very clear suddenly. Before we used to read and it was not easy to understand so here he says that each one has to explain to his surroundings that there is a minority that always wants a war, how do you explain this with people that do not belong to that minority will say that we are blaming them. How do we explain this idea without increasing separation?

R. We need to explain to everyone what are the laws of nature. The direct simple laws of nature and by this it will be clear to everyone where more or less they are leaning.

6. S. (16:19) He writes, if there is a minority they will always rise against, so can there be a state where 100% of the nation thinks the same thing? What could help that they will not be a minority that thinks otherwise?

R. I do not think this is realistic that it will be like that, but it seems to me that we can come to a state where most of the people understand that's such a such things, actions, inclinations more closer to war and others opposite to them bring us closer to peace.

S. What would we do with them whenever he does not agree?

R. The minority that does not agree we will convince it, very simple, we will convince them.

7. S. (17:33) I think you answered my question partly, I wanted to ask if the article is actually saying that it is impossible for us to reach peace unless we create a balance in the society because it says, there is an interdependence, peace in the world, are interdependent but equally we know that the Creator creates a lot of egos which is difficult to connect. Is the only way out to bring humanity higher not to rely on their ego so that we can create peace because it is impossible to create peace with egos?

R. Yes, of course this is a solution. This is the solution.

8. S. (18:48) Peace in the world and peace in the country depend on one another. We learn that the ten has the whole world inside of them. So if we can read that part again from taking the terms of the world, and ten and the group?

R. Basically this is so.

S. In such a case we have to see compared to the work in the ten?

R. There will be a relation to this in the next excerpt.

9. R. (23:09) In other words if we calculate correctly then of course our whole life where we constantly chase pleasure and instead of them get increasingly intensified suffering it is clear that we will find no solution in this.

10. S. (23:43) It is not clear because according to this explanation we can tell people simply, basically, make a calculation, it's worthwhile simply to bestow and not receive.

R. So what do you want?

S. That is how it is, if everybody can go from reception to bestowal what would happen it doesn't seem that way.

R. According to the intellect, to logic it may be so but not according to our nature, not according to our will to receive.

S. He writes, at first glance, the plan to switch from reception to bestowal seems imaginary above human nature" and it is above human nature. You always say, only the Creator can do it. Why does he say at first glance, is it really so?

R. What do you recommend?

S. I'm just asking what Baal HaSulam is trying to tell us, it's not clear. He says it's just a psychological contradiction. It's not clear, it's not just a psychological contradiction.

R. Baal HaSulam wants to explain to us that to bestow to the others is worth more than receiving from the others and the difference between them is only psychological.

S. If this is so, why can't I convince not only others but even myself I cannot convince?

R. That is your psychology that you cannot convince yourself.

S. You say that it's my psychology but it's my nature, it's something the Creator created, it's not something superficial and simple. Right?

R. Yes.

S. What does it mean, it's only psychological? This I don't understand.

R. That there is no justification for this more than your assumptions in your brain.

S. It's my assumptions, it's in my mind, it's my nature, it's all that there is.

R. It is your nature and it is everything that you have.

S. When he says it's only psychological, it sounds like just change the way you think and then you will discover that yes, of course, it's possible?

R. No, that's our entire nature, it's not so simple.

S. The explanation tells you that it is possible to explain to people but you cannot explain to the people?

R. No, you can't because you have to bring them the same measure of convincing as your will to receive is convincing yourself.

S. What should one go through in order to come to the point that he says that it does, that it's worthwhile to be in bestowal?

R. That is if you are in the right society.

S. So it always goes to the same question, what can you explain to people because it's clear that if you can pull them to our society, then you go through a process and then after a year or two they will understand everything that is clear, but we can't, we don't pull them to us. We try to get to them and try to give them some message and we will try to convince them, we can only convey a very short message to them, all right or no hatred between us. It's not clear.

11. S. (28:00) What does it mean to go from personal calculation to a global calculation and how do you do it?

R. From a private one to a global one, it is a simple transition that we want to convince ourselves and the whole world that in order to bestow that is where we really reach the good world.

S. What does it mean to explain to the world that in order to bestow is a good thing?

R. That nobody will feel any damage in that, any harm.

S. I think people can understand and they can also see in the country, in Israel, that at times of trouble there's a spirit of volunteering and people seemingly do not make any calculations for themselves. It seems that way and everyone is willing to do a whole lot for the country, for the soldiers. He is willing to do for others and he gives great pleasure to people. I did this, I did that but it is not in order to bestow?

R. Right, it is not in order to bestow it is in order to help everyone helping himself.

S. But that spirit will wane, it will not stay this way?

R. Of course.

S. What does it mean to explain to humanity that in order to bestow is good? What does it mean that in order to bestow to people is good?

R. You have no other way but to fall into horrible suffering but only to bestow to the others.

S. So do they need to taste it or what? We are one thing but humanity what are we telling them about this?

R. We also need to taste it that way. That only through the connection between us we go to a world that is all good otherwise we go into a world that is entirely bad.

S. The connection between us brings us into that global calculation? Is this the meaning of going from personal calculation to a global calculation?

R. Yes. We cannot understand now in our mind that our brain and our heart and all of our internality is going through a change. The changes are by not bowing down to the public but only to the Creator's bestowal. I can't find the words for this. I'm tired already.

S. Bestowal to the Creator we have to find this between us not in bending, bowing before the public when we are talking to the public. There's the matter of peace in the world, we will implement it in the ten and we do but I guess we have to. How do we explain to the world that a global calculation is better for them than personal calculation?

R. That I do not know. That we have to get a mind and an opportunity from Above. Then we will be able to explain it to the whole world but for now, there isn't yet.
