Part 2: Lesson on the topic of "There is One Who Buys His World in One Hour" (27.01.2017)

Reader: We're going to continue with the preparation for the regional congress, “Awakening from Below.” It's going to be in 24 days, and we'll continue with a special part by Rav. It's 30 minutes. From preparation for a congress in 2017, Rav talks about the force of the environment, connection of the hearts, and so we're one big Ten. It's nice how he's preparing us to get the forces from each and every friend that comes to the congress. A true force to advance. Let's hear Rav, how he's speaking to all our hearts about each one of us. A great preparation for the Congress during the lesson, let's ask the question: how do we open ourselves to the bestowal of the friends and let the environment awaken us? Again, when we watch, let's scrutinize how to open ourselves to the influence of the friends and let the environment awaken us. Let's enter the lesson.

Reader: Hello, we are in a lesson on the topic of "There is One Who Buys His World in One Hour." As a preparation for the worldwide Kabbalah Congress, “All as One,” we'll be reading excerpts from the sources about this topic. You can ask questions in Kab.tv, and selected questions will be asked during the lesson. There's a lesson on the topic of "There is One Who Buys His World in One Hour."

M. Laitman: (01:44) It's truly a wonder, because the purpose of creation, to do good to His creations, is possible to attain only on the condition that we make corrections over the entire system of Adam HaRishon, which is broken. That is, that same system of the still, vegetative, animate, and speaking of the entire creation which has undergone shattering, and following the shattering, all of its parts have fallen and were all intermingled, mixed with one another. They were all incorporated and went through many shatterings and sub-shatterings more and more, as a kind of a chain reaction, until indeed they have reached the end of the shattering. And then begins the work of scrutiny, that the upper light starts working, and afterwards it starts working, it continues to work in order to reconstruct, to resurrect these parts back to connection, to the right connection. When on the degrees of the still, vegetative, and animate, the upper light awakens them in a compulsory, necessary manner, through rejection, through a bad feeling from disconnection and a good feeling out of connection, then in the struggles between those parts, these opposing parts, after the shattering, that's how they feel themselves, nevertheless, there is no choice. They have to connect with one another. This is how we see that the parts of the matter accumulate in their elements, in the elements of the elementary particles into atoms, and atoms into molecules, and molecules into more complicated bodies. And this is how it happens in the entire matter. Later on, this matter, on the degree of the still becomes the vegetative, and it has already some force of the Creator that is capable of developing it from within, so it starts working from within, and that's how the still becomes the vegetative. And some additional force from the Creator that is revealed in the vegetative turns the vegetative into the animate. And some additional force which is revealed in the animate, which is called the point in the heart, pushes the animate to become the speaking, the Adam, who is similar to the Creator. But the essential difference between the force of the still, vegetative, and animate is in the vegetative and in the animate they have the force of the Creator working in them necessarily. Hence, they develop out of the two forces, the plus and minus, and in between them seemingly reception and bestowal. And in the system of the speaking, there is one force which is revealed, and the additional force, the point in the heart, is concealed and later on revealed, and it demands of the person to further on discover the positive force versus the negative force, the force of giving versus the force of receiving. So, a person must compose of both of them a system with three lines and develop this way.

M. Laitman: (05:54) And if in the still and vegetative the force of the Creator works without free choice on behalf of that created being, then on the level of the speaking, there is an action from above in that the upper force is forcing this object that has to develop, to acknowledge the bad in his state and to search for how to develop towards the revelation of the Creator by himself. And if not, then he invites upon himself further suffering and nevertheless, he will still have to discover the Creator in him through his free choice. We are in a system which is integral, all-inclusive, comprised of the whole of reality which is, all in all, a single HaVaYaH, Yod Hey Vav Hey, the still, vegetative, animate, and speaking, and this reality is constantly changing and developing, and in this reality, in this system, every part is connected to all the other parts in a necessary, compulsory manner, completing them as much as it's capable of completing them. And the end of correction is when everyone completes everyone in the complete whole manner, and then it is revealed between them that the quality or the degree of the corruption is opposite to the Creator, and the quality of the correction is similar to the Creator. So, by acknowledging and realizing the gap between the corrupted form and the corrected form, by that, we attain the depth of this concept called Creator, Boreh. And out of us being connected, all of us to a single system, there is a very special opportunity here that I can truly acquire the correction with a single action. Theoretically, it is possible to do that. "There is one who acquires his world in one hour." That if I'm successful, if I'm good, my work is done by others. How can that be? There is the matter of shame. I've exerted, “I labored and I found, if I didn't labor, I cannot find.” And there is the quote of exertion that must be there before anything, because the deficiency is something necessary in order to feel the fulfillment of the work. The fulfillment is in absolute rest right there before us, because the upper light is the state of Ein Sof, it's infinite, and the feeling of this light depends only on my deficiency for it. So how can it be that I attain it in one hour? "One who acquires his world in one hour." Rather, because we are all interconnected, one to the other and the other to the other, etc., in order to emphasize how much we're doing the work together, we're doing a common work, this possibility exists specifically by the fact that they prepare the vessels for you, the other parts in the system of Adam HaRishon. All that remains for you is to just do one small thing by yourself, which is called “one hour.” And in truth, "There is one who acquires his world in one hour." If a person performs the right actions in preparation, indeed, he does acquire his world in one hour. Our work is about how to prepare the environment, and the work itself is done by the environment. And therefore, if we arrange everything nice and correctly, it's very easy to do that. Everything depends on the, say, division of roles. If we are capable of describing our work in the right way, in an integral system where everyone depends on everyone and everyone works for everyone, there's no problem. Each one receives a gram of work that he can easily do.

M. Laitman: (11:50) And in general, the work is not in an effort, as we might imagine to ourselves; rather, in an effort to connect, in an effort to connect. That is, in a nice and good place, we don't have to feel any effort. And if I do feel some difficulty in time, in the execution, or some failure in the result, then "You have not called upon Me, Jacob." It means that we are not working in the right way, because if it is in the right way, then everyone has not just an opportunity, but a necessity to reach a state where each one acquires his world in one hour. And in this way, we prepare the place of correction for our friends as well, that for the time being has grown weaker, and they're somewhere in the periphery, for the whole nation of Israel, and for the entire world. And we very much hope that we are preparing everything for them. And indeed, it doesn't matter if we want to do the whole work for them so that in the revelation of the smallest desire out of them, already they'll be able to integrate with the system and join us with all of their forces and abilities without laboring in the previous, the earlier work that we will prepare for them. So, the Congress that we are now preparing ourselves for is something very special that we have to prepare ourselves for those people who will join us, that maybe are not with us on a daily basis in the studies and activities, but with all of our heart and soul, we do want to accept them into our ranks without any calculation other than love and connection, to see them as being together with us, as our friends in everything. That as the Creator does not take into consideration if it's small parts or big parts, in the end of correction everyone is equal, and from the end of correction He is looking at us, observing us. This is how we have to relate to everyone. So in the Congress, each and every one that comes is important for us. It doesn't matter how much he understands, he feels, he is in dissemination, in the study, in the preparations. Rather, if even for one moment he joins us, already that's enough for us in order to include him within this great correction. And even though this correction is only for the time of the Congress, and even out of the entire Congress only for a few minutes, it already exists for eternity, and by this state, we attain everything. So, we have to prepare ourselves to absorb our friends, to receive the people who are not quite friends, maybe they're even strangers. However, if the Creator sends them to us, then certainly we are happy and all set to receive them, and together with them to make one great action, one great deed. Are there any questions about that, please? More than anything, I'm yearning to have questions from the groups of Israel. Many of the friends from here have gone to all of the different groups, and they are now together with us, all these groups. And let's hope that we will hear questions from them and discuss them. So, for the time being, are there any questions from here?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (17:18) There's a very special feeling. You're saying that even if a person comes for five minutes, and he was a stranger, still, the work that we did in order to prepare ourselves to absorb everyone at the Congress is something through which we can achieve anything. Where does this attitude come from?

M. Laitman: Well, imagine yourself that, let's say, I was in a broken body several times in different forms: ribs, the liver, the area of the belly, my legs, and others. So, if the doctor was saying, oh, now something started working. Let's say, the liver started functioning. It wasn't functioning following the accident, it started working now. There's great joy in that already; that a certain organ, and in the complete body, it doesn't matter if it's just a small organ or a big organ. It doesn't matter, because wholeness is wholeness, and lack of wholeness is lack of wholeness. It's not the way it is in our physiology, that one can be without a leg or an arm. But in the spiritual body, when even a single cell joins, starts living and experiencing the life of the entire body, it is a great correction. It's like a big organ. It's like the entire body, because wholeness, it's very interesting, it doesn't tolerate any lack in one gram or a million tons. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It doesn't go according to the quantity, rather according to the quality. There is a deficiency, that's it. How much? But it's just a little bit. No, a deficiency is a deficiency. You see, as he says that it has to be… I don't remember how he says it, the very last drop is what actually finishes the quota, the meal. He talks about it, that specifically in the very last bit of effort, it's very important in attaining the purpose. Well, go ahead and say it.

Student: He says in Letter 38 that

Reading: (20:20) the main thing is the exertion, to think how can he exert himself in serving the Creator, because the ordinary exertion is not taken into consideration, but only that which is surplus to the ordinary exertion, because from all the work of the Creator, he collects only those additional bits, surplus bits to the ordinary work, and they're the ones that lead to the revelation of the Creator.

M. Laitman: Yes. Oh, Rishon, Hadera, Toronto. Okay, Toronto, go first. Those who are further away are the closest. Please, Toronto.

Question (Toronto): (21:01) What do we call a prepared environment which has a right influence on me?

M. Laitman: Right environment has many discernments of what it means to be the right environment. Actually, the right environment is one that activates me in such a way that I necessarily and willingly, through the revelation of my desire and the revelation of my free choice, I join it in order to discover the Creator for them. The right society cares about how to add to itself more and more of its depleted organs, because each and every additional part, let's say, an additional small soul, another cell, a person who comes to the society. The society cares for him to be connected so that through these connections, they'll be able to discover the Creator to a greater extent, with more discernments, greater clarity, and accordingly, when they give the Creator the ability to reveal Himself according to their Kelim that are more detailed, more connected, more interconnected in different forms. By that, they bring contentment to the Creator because it's His desire to be revealed in the created being. As much as the created beings feel Him, attain Him as great, as bestowing, as good, as whole, by that He is happy, not because He is this way or that they think about Him that He is this way, rather because they attain Him with such qualities.

Question (Hadera): (23:35) Okay, so we're in Hadera together with the friends from Petah Tikva. We're really happy. We're very excited. We feel the entire world Kli together, and there's a great sense of happiness and joy, and we wanted to ask about the Congress. How should we really direct ourselves to something happy? Should we direct ourselves towards happiness, joy, gratitude, or towards more inner, concentrated work?

M. Laitman: The connection of the hearts. I have no other answer. We have to prepare ourselves for the connection of the hearts. In general, the whole of Kabbalah is attained in the heart, in the feeling of the heart. And not in the feeling of a single heart, rather in the feeling that is born out of connection between the hearts, in the crosscut between the points, in the darkness and the abyss between the hearts, where there was rejection, and later on we have a bridge that "love covers all crimes." In that connection between the hearts, on top of the distance between the hearts, there we attain the general force of connection, who is the Creator, by that we give Him contentment. And all in all, this is our work, and this is also our preparation for the Congress, meaning to prepare the hearts. And in general, if we are talking about the wisdom of Kabbalah, we are talking only about a feeling in the heart. The brain only helps the heart, it has no direction of its own. If the heart is empty, the brain is also empty. And therefore, if we want to talk to the public and bring the public something, we also have to be concerned about bringing it to them in an emotional manner. Emotional. It's good to speak in terms of the wisdom, but actually, what works is the emotion, and not the mind. The heart understands. When the heart is correctly organized, according to science and wisdom, but it is what is arranged, and it activates its desires in the right way, then specifically, it works in the person, and awakens the person to speak out of the heart, and then his words are accepted. This is how we have to prepare ourselves. Always, everywhere, if there are no feelings, I go through all kinds of states, like you, ups and downs. And sometimes it is very hard to give a lesson. Even though on one degree, on a certain degree, and I have to give a lesson which is on several degrees lower than myself, it is still hard. Because if the heart is completely removed, it's like with the story of Baal Shem Tov, that you don't know anything, and you lose everything; even the letters. Well, I don't have any calculation in such a way, I'm not as great as Baal Shem Tov. However, it happens to each one of us to some extent, and from that, we understand that the main thing is the feeling, and out of the feeling, we have to talk. If we feel, it's not a problem to talk for hours, because then a person simply pours out his heart, there's no problem. If the heart is blocked to speak out of the brain, it comes out very dry, hard, and not convincing.

Question (Toronto): (27:55) A friend from New York is asking, what is the difference between working in the Ten on the Congress, and working in the Ten in the group?

M. Laitman: When we are in a Congress, we need to nevertheless think about the gathering, about the connection, about the opportunity, to be impressed, and to pray about what we are now, and for what we are now keeping where we are. So, in a Congress, there is a more responsible work, a lot more beneficial, I would say, because there, both the quantity and the quality support one another, and it's possible to attain a lot more than in a small group, or in an ordinary lesson.

Question (Rishon): (29:24) The question is, tomorrow evening, all of the groups of Israel will participate in the unity marathon of the world Kli. And how important is it to prepare us for the Congress?

M. Laitman: It's the same like all of our actions, and even more, because each and every action has its own character. But the main thing is that we have to integrate in the impressions. Our problem, our main problem, the reason why we're not advancing as we would have liked to advance, is that we shut ourselves away from one another, we disregard, underestimate the influence of the environment over each one of us. If we would open up our heart: how they affect me, why they do, why they don't, I need to perceive, to accept above reason that they are influencing me, bestowing upon me the whole world of Ein Sof, and I'm shut in, I'm sleepy. If I would be constantly like that with my radar, constantly looking for the influence of the environment over me, where are they projecting over me, this inspiration, upliftment, the greatness of the Creator, the greatness of the goal, I would find it abundantly, and it would be very easy for me to advance. My problem is that I'm disregarding it. I'm looking at them, they are sleeping, they're talking, what words are they saying this way, that way, and "anyone who disqualifies is disqualifying through his own fault." I see them this way because I don't want to awaken towards them. I don't want to appreciate them, right? Those individuals that the Creator has assembled from all over the world and brought them for me, or He brought me to them, it doesn't matter. So, it depends on the awakening of the person; how much he appreciates it, how much he looks at them like his children, his babies, as those that are truly the most important for him, as those parts of reality that are the closest to him, that are the most, the ones that are actually doing all the actions for him. When later on, when he will discover himself in the general system, the true system of Adam HaRishon, he will see and recognize that those same friends are actually the inseparable parts. He and them become as one. And this is for eternity. That nothing actually happened here incidentally. So, if we awaken ourselves towards a connection with them, then it's no longer hard, and you can be inspired by them. And this is how we reach the implementation. The main thing is to awaken the influence of the environment on myself. That is everything. As it says, “I've learned from all of my students,” the Creator, and the teacher, and everyone. The main thing is the friends. Mostly, it's the friends. So, we need to pay attention. So, what does it say here? “Every person has a choice, and there is one who acquires his world and degree in one hour.” Meaning, every friend has choice, and there is he who acquired this world and degree in one hour. Probably, this will be our choice, meaning to acquire it part by part, portions throughout the time or in one action.
